Talked with Chad Spears about what weed eater and push mower would best suit my needs he was very helpful, and had knowledgable answers to everyone of my questions. So far they have been wonderful, and I have only heard good things about this place from numerous friends who are in the landscaping industry. Great for serious land owners as well as commercial people. I plan on purchasing the toro titan 52 soon!

Great group of folks. We relocated here from the Charlotte area and have a considerable amount of yard to maintain. I purchased a Stihl trimmer online and had a call in just a few minutes that it was ready to pick up. When I picked it up they had everything ready to go, gas in the trimmer and even gave me a quick once over on proper operation. I didnt need it, but they didnt know that and I suspect if Id asked questions theyd have quickly covered any of them with me. Were purchasing a zero turn here soon and I know Ill be headed there to check out their great selection. (Seriously they have a ton of in stock models!)

WOW! Great customer service. Very knowledgeable employees who have actually used the chainsaws they are selling.First time going into the store today and it will NOT be my last, they definitely earned my business. Hope the rest of my experiences at clays will be as good as it was today. Going back there in a month or so to purchase the stihl 462 r . They had the cm model in stock not the R but dang that thing feels perfect, Big but Light.

Great sales staff. I immediately felt like I was in good hands. I explained what I was looking for and I was shown which leaf blower best fit the job I described. He then explained the pros and cons of the options above and below in price range and power. I also appreciated that they put a small amount of gas in to crank it up and show how it worked.

Staff here is not pushy at all, just honest and helpful.Only gripe is that the hours of operation arent the best, but I can respect a small business that is likely just trying to strike a balance between budget, customer needs, and employee work-life balance.Thank you!

As a homeowner I’ve bought 3 Stihl product from Clay’s over the last 6 years. They have been professional and quick every time upon purchase, but today wowed me. I had an issue with my hedge trimmer and brought it in for service. Rather than giving me a ticket and charging they took a look and after about 15 minutes found out a simple fix for no charge. That alone is why I will continue to go to Clay’s and recommend my family and friends to shop there.

My leaf blower was stalling and wouldn’t start. I hesitated taking it in for service as past experiences usually meant the dealer would need at least a week and would charge for unnecessary parts and labor. At Clay’s the serviceman asked a couple questions and correctly diagnosed the problem immediately and corrected it in a matter of minutes at no charge. People and companies like this are rare today and deserve recognition.I did not pay for the help they provided today, but they now have a devoted patron. I doubt this kind of service is available at any big box home improvement stores.

As always, the guys who work in the service dept at Clays are awesome. After I described what happened and what part fell out of my mower, they knew exactly which replacement part I needed over the phone and ordered it for me since they did not have one in stock. When I came in to pick up the part, they were very helpful and printed off the owners manual repair page for my Toro Titan showing me how and where the part needed to be replaced on my Titan mower. It took me about an hour to replace the drive pulley at home in my garage. I was up and running that same day I picked up the replacement part. Had an excellent experience at Clays! I just moved to a new home and was in need of all the basics- mower, trimmer, edger, blower. Gene helped me pick out some awesome products from Toro and Stihl, and didnt try to oversell me on things I didnt need or wouldnt use. Both brands are pretty tight on their pricing, but the service I received made up for it. Highly recommend Clays and look forward to having my equipment serviced there.

The service department at Clays Power Eqpt Company did not stand behind their repair of my Stihl blower. They charged me over $100 to tune up, change the fuel filter, clean the carburetor etc. After I ran 1 tank of gas through it to completion, I set it aside for several months. When I went to refill it, I noticed the fuel filter had fallen off and was loose in the gas tank. I took it back and they said that they re-attached the filter. After about 20 minutes of use it was losing power and the filter had fallen off again. I took it back, explained the situation, reminded them what they had done and left it with them. A week later, it was ready along with a $96 bill for doing essentially what they had done the first time (including another new fuel filter and fuel line). No apologies and no discount/credit. This is not the way to treat a customer.

Yesterday 5 sep, drove up from raeford to drop off a mower for maintenance and a zero turn tire for repair. Asked when the mower would be ready for pick up, and explained to the guy, I was deploying in about two weeks. His answer, two weeks means it wont be ready until the 19th, if it ready sooner maybe I will call you. I told him youre not making easy, his reply oh well. I asked when the tire would be ready, he told tomorrow sometime. Id had enough and walked around the show room some. About a third of a mowers have prices on them. I asked the Gene, what the price of the reverse mower was? He promptly said $359, I asked you sure, he said yes. I asked to buy, get up to the counter and this guy with his back to us, tells Gene it $479. Im like huh? Further the guy says, yeah it doesnt have a tag on it, most of the items in the store didnt have a tag on them. Anyway, so he says yeah its $479, you want it. I walked back over to the mowers that had a tag and picked out the $399.00 one. Gene earlier was telling me the other mowers have a $50.00 off. I asked Gene, if the reverse mower did, he looked at the other guy, and shook his head no.Came back today, 6 Sep, picked up the mower, and the tire. The tire cost $43.00 to fix. I asked why, the guys reply, it just did, had a slash on the side, shouldnt give you and problem, now.My recommendation to other possible consumers, Toro is a good brand, if you would like one go anywhere, but stay clear of any Clays stores, or buy John Deere.They could replace those yahhoos in there with German Shepherds and get a better result.

Excellent customer service and reasonable prices for Stihl Power Products. Stihl sets the prices so it really does not make a difference what you go to purchase Stihl Power Products. Charles & Gene are tops when it comes to customer service. Very honest and straightforward with their customers. Only negative issue I have, is that they perform very little service on anything that you buy there. Almost everything that you purchase there is sent to their Raleigh, NC. location for service. Usually they send the item out to their Raleigh location on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Turnaround time is usually very acceptable.This is because of an ordinance that the town of Fuquay Varina imposes on Clays at this location.

I went to the John Deere dealer ready to buy a new zero turn, I was very unimpressed that I wasnt greeted for 20 minutes. When I walked into Clays I was immediately greeted and steered in the right direction. I bought a new gravely zero turn. Well see how it performs.
