Went in to buy some stuff for my son before an appointment.. got a few sleepers for him, thought they were all 5t. Nope, they had 3t in 5t stuff. I was in a hurry because it was raining, and I knew it would take a bit to get to where I needed to go so I wasnt checking everything for the sizes because I was like oh its in the 5 area so itll be the right size. I got 2 3t ones, and now Im just annoyed about the situation 🙃 $8 is now gone because they couldnt put stuff in the right area.I usually go to the Westerville.. they are whole lot more organized 🙄🙄

I think purchasing from this store is great and I’ve had many good experiences over ~4 years as a customer. But one warning if you are a seller, DO NOT GET STORE CREDIT. I was incentivized to do so because of the bonus but this store in particular has managed to lose over $100 in my store credit because of a “system glitch”. I went to make a purchase in January 2021 and was informed my entire balance was gone and there has been no remediation on their part. I will at least take my business to other stores in the area or to Mansfield / Cleveland which I believe is part of a different network. Or give things to my friends with kids who deserve it more.Update in March- weeks later after hearing from district manager, still not resolved.Update in April - gave up on issue. I’m considering writing a BBB report because this could be fraud? Just a thought, Once Upon a Child. You may want to look into it.

I have visited this store to shop on many occasions. Each time, I was not greeted when entering the store and have encountered the staff having personal conversations with no filter. I had to approach the counter and request information from a sales associate behind the counter, which left me feeling as though I was not welcomed in this store. Prior to writing this review, I wanted to get a feeling about what others feedback may have been, as I try to be fair! However, this has happened to me each time, just not a friendly environment. Customer service is the cornerstone in sustaining a business, please recognize this.

Ive been to this location many times never with a good experience. I was given some tips on what to do to make my sale better I followed those tips and they still picked over my items like they were not good enough and when I asked what the problem was this time she said I dont know maybe because theyre just small sizes which makes no sense. I shopped through their store while waiting for my stuff to be looked at and theres certainly Room for items that I was trying to sale. Every time I come here I say Ill never come back well this is absolutely the last straw I will not return to this store.

Buying from the store is good, but selling is now a nightmare. The dont tell you that large sets have to be put together, not sure how someone does that. Legos need put together. And they now pay less if you dont take store credit.

Super disappointed.. I have been shopping and selling here, and their affiliates, since they opened their first store in Dublin. It was that time of the year that I had a bunch of stuff to get rid of, and I wanted to buy some things too. We found some great clothes! BUT, I was SO disappointed when they bought 65 items - including name brand clothes and off brand clothes, shoes and an expensive toy - for $52!!!!! Which came out to about $0.80 per piece. One item I sold them was at least $80 when I bought it new, (and it was in pristine condition) and I bet they could sell it for $20-$30. I was shocked they offered so little for all the things they bought. But what other choice do I have?! Maybe just donate?? They used to be more fair when they bought items in years past. I feel like they are getting greedy, specially when they are making a lot more profit with their higher prices now! Not how they used to be. I can find the same things for a fraction of the price, and same condition at the thrift stores. Which I will be switching over to fully!

Always super backed up on looking through items people bring in to sell. They used to ask if I needed it back by a certain time (which I hardly ever did) and now its always maybe by tomorrow it will be done when I actually needed to pick it up quick for once. Super frustrating they cant accommodate reasonable time requests. Will probably use a different location next time.

We took clothes to sell to this location back around December and had a great experience. We were specifically told we had “great stuff” and “exactly what we look for.” We took a huge bag (a blue IKEA bag) full of clothes in the same condition as what we took in December, but the store rejected everything. We were told it was because none of it matched and could be sold in sets. For one, when you walk through the store there is hardly ANYTHING sold in sets. Two, yes - everything in the bag matches with something else in the bag. To add to the poor experience, all of the clothes were folded and placed in the bag neatly when dropped off, but were given back to us in a crumpled mess.

I definitely will come here again! Bought in all my son old clothes other things. That he doesnt use or need and got $40.00 for the things they took! Thank you! I definitely recommend anyone to come here! Btw my son is only 10months and gave lots of his stuff!! Im happy 😀

Purchased some clothing for my grandson here. the prices certainly arent cheap but they are still affordable. i would reccomend

It’s a good store to find used, clean items. The women that work in the Gahanna store always seem to have attitudes. There is one nice older lady but the rest seem to really not like their job. I am very disappointed in what they give for items sold to them. I’m not sure if the issue is just with the Gahanna location or not. Specifically, I had a new dress with tags attached that was $40 and they offered $1 for it. Now I understand they have to sell it but that seems a bit ridiculous. Platos closet and clothes mentor, which I understand to be like sister stores, give you 1/3 of what they can sell it for. $1 for a $40 dress that they would’ve at least put $10 on is definitely not a fair sale.

I took clothes in here couple days ago and Averil went thru my items. She literally took all my summer shorts but left the matching tops in the bin. Then just thru everything back in there. I even made sure each outfit was folded together. Makes no sense why you would leave matching tops so now what am i suppose to do with these shirts that dont have matching bottoms because another location wont buy them or anyone else in that matter.Also, I called in that morning and asked about my items since I dropped them off at 4pm prior and she told me that it wouldnt be till the evening.30 mins later I get text saying my items were ready so that just proves my point that she didnt eveb go thru my items. Very annoyed

I used to find a ton of quality clothes for my children at this location. However, my last visit left me very unimpressed. The store was quite messy, the shoe section was a disaster (none of the sizes were in the right bins). Many of the clothes I picked up had stains or holes.While many reviews I read said the staff was rude, I found Debra extremely helpful and pleasant.

Absolutely the worst resale store Ive ever been to! Took in 5 storage bins full of barely worn and tags still on new childrens clothing and they bought next to nothing, pretty sure they didnt even go though what I brought. Acted very put out that I brought items into their store! Will never be back here, I wish there was an alternative please for selling new/ gently used clothes my child has outgrown because this place is a joke!!!

This was the absolute worst experience Ive ever had at a Once Upon Child of any location in Columbus, Ohio. My boyfriend and I dropped a box of clothes off on a Tuesday morning to be looked at, and were told that it would be a 2 hour wait. Although I was a little surprised at the wait as I have never, even at the busiest hours at any other location, have had a 2 hours wait (again this was on a Tuesday morning when there were probably 2 people in the store, and about 2 other boxes waiting to be looked though). So we looked around for a little while and then left to go to Easton. We came back around 1:30 in the afternoon (well past 2 hours from when we left the items there) and were told they were still not ready. Although I was a little annoyed it was fine and I asked how much longer they thought it would be. The girl rolled her eyes and said I dont know itll be a while. So my boyfriend said lets just go home and we can come back tomorrow morning to pick up the items (since you have until close of next business day to pick them up). So we get there this morning and they offer us 90 cents for two of the items?! I get it they need to sell them back cheap and they need to make a profit, but ARE YOU SERIOUS?! 90 cents after 2 trips back, and not sticking to the time frame given???? HORRIBLE customer service. I will never shop there again or bring anything there again.

I arrived at 10:15 (15 minutes after they opened) so I could get quick service while selling items. One person came in before me to sell. I live 70 minutes away and was told over the phone before coming that if you wait in store you get priority. I didnt leave till 11:55 after being told to expect a 20 minute wait. When I checked in an hour after arriving I was told it would be another 45 minutes, when I exclaimed my disbelief I was shamed and told they had other customers to attend too. I watched them serve several people ahead of me who left their items as well. I also received such horrible offers that next time it would be more cost efficient to donate all the items and itemize my taxes.

Dark and narrow aisles make shopping difficult. Items frequently not in the right location: lots of misplaced clothes!

Even though there were at least 5 employees in sight i wasn’t greeted upon entering, which i wouldn’t normally care about except i had two arms full of boxes, toys etc that i didn’t know what to do with so it was pretty annoying. i was told my stuff could be looked through right away and i said that’s fine but i had to leave and come back to pick up my son anyway, i came back about an hour later and the same girl who said she could look through it told me it wasn’t done yet. they said it’d be another 30-45 mins. i wait an hour and got no text notification so i call and the girl on the phone said my stuff was third in line to be checked. i would have assumed the place was under no management had she not said that when she sees her manager they’ll do my stuff first. looks like i’ll be waiting until tomorrow since i never got a call back even though i went at 2:45 pm. also one of the girls spilled soda on the same table i saw her folding baby clothes on earlier and she just laughed 🤢 good thing i plan on taking my money and running. the westerville location is far superior.

Ive never been to Once Upon A Child and not found something my kids could use at a good price. The shoe selection can be hit or miss, but it helps save a lot of money on kids clothes. Remember that the return policy requires a receipt and the tags to still be attached to the item.

I visited this location today with my 18 month old son and received very poor customer service from Megan. I waited patiently while she checked in new items (one I was interested in). She didnt let me know she had priced the item and left me waiting until I talked to another associate. Then, I waited in line to pay for my items and Megan walked away from the register after helping the person directly in front of me. She didnt return to the register until another associate offered to help me at their register. I have never been to this location before and I dont know Megan accept for her name tag. I will not be returning.

The person that greeted me into the store was extremely rude. If you cant be nice dont work in retail. If there was a zero star rating this store would desrve it. I get that it is hectic but you are still customer facing.

Worst customer service ever. I was originally told an hour and after almost two hours waiting still not done. I told them I had been waiting and she blew me off and rolled her eyes while laughing. I will not be going back there and will not recommend this place to anyone else. The sales people are unprofessional and rude- especially Amy.

I had took 9 pairs of jeans, only worn 3 times as a result of my child growing so fast. 3 shirts that still had price tags on them. 5 other shirts, and another pair of jeans with the price tag still on them. The store was very busy, the people working there are very rude. All of the items I had brought there were passed on. Without any reason. Out of curiosity I browsed through the store, ALOT of items I had seen for sale were stained, or had some type of tear or rip in them, and ALOT of the toys were dirty and could of been cleaned. So I cant help but wonder if the employees sell their own items from home to the store without judgement along with their friends and family. I cannot understand this store more will I ever try to, as they are very rude. I took the entire basket of cloths to a different location and received $38,, I will never go back to the Gahanna location and I will tell everyone I know about my experience !!! The only reason I gave this store a one star is because I had to, the site does not give me an option to POST my review without a star.

I came to Once Upon a Child to sell my daughter stuff. She had numerous items like Roc a Wear, Apple Bottom, Jordans all from birth to 1 year old. Some were brand new clothes with tags and I also had a total of 75 baby bibs along with 12 pairs of Jordan shoes. All of her items were in perfect condition. None of her clothes ever got soiled. If they did I would just threw the clothes out because I had such a huge baby shower I had more than enough stuff left over. The lady at the counter told me they only wanted my childs bibs and her Jordans for $9.31 Lol, are they serious!? They would not buy anything else. When I asked why they said those name brand clothes dont sell well. These people are insane. I would not recommend this children company to anyone. I tell people all the time find a friend or just donate it and write it off on your taxes. Once Upon a Child you should try stepping your game up a bit.

I will never shop there again. I dropped off clothes for purchase. They were busy so the associate stated they would be looked over and come back after tomorrow. We stayed and shopped an hour and even purchased some items. We came back after the weekend only to find out the store has a policy to donate your clothes if they are not picked up after 24 hours. I asked for proof they donated and did not resell they could not provide. Yes it is store policy, yes you have to sign a drop off sheet but they take your name, DL# and phone number and even are soliciting email addresses at checkout. Good customer service says call to tell a person they are being donated ask a customer if its ok to donate if we cant get there. We lost 2 large tubs over flowing with clothes and only have $25 to show and did not even get the tubs back and no tax right off for us. Policy or not we will not be shopping there.

The associates are rude. I have taken items to this locations many times but the last time I dopped items off to sell, the associate that was checking me in was quite rude and frankly did not know what she was doing. I went back the next day to pick up items and was told they were only going to buy one thing and offered me 25 cents for it. I refused the sale, took my items and left. I then decided to take the items to the Westerville location. The same item that the Gahanna loation wanted to give me 25 cents for, Westerville offered me $2.00 for and took over half of the other items in the basket. Needless to say I will NOT be returning to the Gahanna location and drive the 20 minutes to Westerville

Best kids clothing store in the entire world!

I went to go drop of a shirt and the said they would give me 80 cents for it so I took it. I went back a week later and while looking around I saw the shirt I sold to them for 4 $. They ripped me off

If I could rate this place zero, I would. This place is a joke!! I took a whole bag of clothes that my son wore it once and some of them he never even wear them, it even had the tag on them. They told me they would sell it for 10$! And some of the staff were rude!
