This place has everything! We enjoyed our day shopping and then grabbing some frozen drinks and sitting on the deck enjoying the ocean views and air. Great place to stop and grab some gifts for people. The prices are good and the staff is friendly.

Murdochs is a great place to come if youre looking for souvenirs, snacks, or gifts for the fam.Its made up of two buildings with a breezeway in between. The breezeway overlooks the ocean, so theyve got adirondack chairs so you can buy a drink at their indoor bar, then head out and let the ocean air help relax you.Definitely worth a stop!

Wonderfully curated beach themed items at reasonable prices. Fun patio area with rocking chairs to relax and gaze out to the sea. Beverages available if you want to sip and rock and listen to the waves.

Absolutely amazing views and the best place I found Im galveston for souviners. I was able to shop around, have a drink and enjoy the view then continued shopping. Absolutely amazing!

We really enjoyed shopping here. Expect to spend some time looking around because they have a large assortment of gifts to take home. It is a great place for any tourists to stop. We were looking for a large shell and this was the only place that had them without holes. Many of the other stores around have items that are manufactured to appear real. This place has more genuine items.The staff was helpful with finding different things for us.

Fun choosing tee shirts and jewelry with my granddaughter. And she liked the colorful shells of the live hermit crabs! I enjoyed sitting in a rocker on the porch looking out at the ocean! We always come here when we visit Galveston!!

The best part of Murdochs is the area between the two buildings. Its out on a dock and there are lots of rocking chairs and telescope things.The store itself has drinks, shirts, live hermit crabs, shells starting at .39, postcards....

The deck with rocking chairs was great! I love that you can purchase a beverage and then just sit and relax beachside. The merchandise was normal souvenir stuff at comparable prices to other places in Galveston

The best spot to catch a sit and watch the waves. On a beautiful day, there is nothing like it. This building has been on the Seawall forever. Plenty to see and do a store, beverages and great views. Make this location a great spot to end your day. The wind blowing across your face and the birds flying above. A must stop and see.

Very cute store with lots to look at and buy! Just beware there is a $5 minimum for debt cards and they ask for id to use debt card. We had just rented a surrey bike down the street and stopped in here for a quick drink. The bike rental place keeps your driver’s license.

Of all the places I travel this has always been my favorite shop. Buying Beachside Christmas ornaments from here has become a yearly tradition. Everyone should come see the wide range of products offered here. And dont even get me started on the rocker porch! Perfection!

Loved the view. The store had many things to buy. Ok not problem was the huge roaches on the porch area where you can sit and relax and watch the ocean. So becareful. Look out for them getting on your feet.

The best souvenir shop we visited! Loved that they had shells and corals in different locations so that you didnt have to be crowded in one area. They had a lot of beach themed decor too.

Best store to find the cutest ocean themed, well basically EVERYTHING. I always go and end up buying some adorable dainty beach jewelry. Beautiful view from deck and definitely a place to visit if youre here in Galveston.

Its a must see and always love bringing home a little piece of the beach or share with a friend. The only place to experience Galveston bay and acquire the best gifts and souvenirs.

Please dont sale hermit crabs if you are just going to abuse them what is wrong with people who have no care for this little guys????? Where is Thier food water anything??? They are alive and have life which makes it so sad to see this spread the word lets change this!!

One of the biggest souvenir shops Ive been to. Very warm and open vibe in here with so many options to pick from when it comes to t shirts and homely decorative.Its got two buildings attached together and they got a frozen margarita spot in the middle and viewing platforms with comfortable seats on both sides! Really unique and has a great view of the sea and the beach! Only suggestion I would have for them is more of a selection on magnets and keychains!

Love, love, love Murdochs, it is one of my favorite childhood memories. We were running late because of a late night dinner. We were so relieved to find out that Murdochs didnt close till 10 pm. Our guests were happy with their purchases and I found gifts for the kids. The teenager seemed please with sharks tooth. I cant wait to return.

Cool place with cold drinks. The breeze is nice on the deck between the buildings as it can get quite warm inside. It has all kinds of nice merchandise and the employees are curious and helpful.

Great place to visit and buy

Great place for fun yet quality souvenirs that you are proud to take home. This isnt junky type of stuff it is pretty seashells, seamless, nice t-shirts, clothes, fun stationery and desk items, wind chimes, all kinds of neat things. A huge variety of items.

Its pricey, be prepared to spend some mulah. Its very cute stuff tho. I loved the balcony and the live hermits

Cool souvenir stop. Prices were reasonable quality was good. My only complaint is when I got home we realize the driftwood seahorse bell hanger didnt ring right because it was cracked. Not worth driving back to the coast to return.

Always love Murdochs! My family and I have been going here since i was alittle kid, i remember when it was seperated before they built them connecting. My wife and I love coming here to shop and buy a beer and margarita and sit on the deck and just watch the waves.

Great place and loved the vibe there. It was close to closing time and scottlynn who rung us up did a great job of helping us and making us feel welcome!

The way this place treats their hermit crabs are absolutely disgusting!! They’re not taken care of at ALL and I will be contacting PETA as soon as I’m finished with this review!! Why are the crabs bug infested?? Where is the salt & fresh water they need to live and breathe?! Where is the fresh food? These crabs are not gifts or toys they are animals that just want to be taken care of!! This store and everyone that works in it should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!

This place would be much nicer if they didn’t completely abuse the hermit crabs they sell for profit. They have them all just dumped in a sink-like area with NO substrate. Not even an inch. No food, no water. If your shop smells like fish without having any fish, you have dead crabs. Not only that, they emphasize their advertising for “decorated” shells, which are painted. Even if you paint shells with “non-toxic paint.” That only means it’s non-toxic to humans, but it’s still very much toxic to hermit crabs.

This place is always been a great little place to buy some souvenirs. Its a very large building and there is a place where you can sit there and watch the ocean if you would like. They have great prices and a great selection.

I absolutely love Murdochs! They have one of the best selections for souvenirs around town and with good prices. The place is HUGE! There is even a patio in between both sides of the buildings that you can sit out there, have a drink (they sell some local beer inside)and just feel the breeze and watch out to the water. You can literally find just about anything you want or need there. I highly recommend this place!

The prices here aren’t crazy. It’s still souvenir shop prices but not as expensive as many places I’ve been. I forgot to grab my beach towels at home so I got some here, a bag, a hat for my boyfriend, and a t shirt for me. I spent $70. All my stuff was really cute though 😊

Great location overlooking the beach and theres a nice area in between the two where you can sit outside for some fresh air. One of the best things about Murdochs is grabbing a drink to go. This could be water, a beer or a frozen margarita. Such a great idea and it makes complete sense at this location in Galveston. Theres a wide variety of clothes, signs, snacks, and pieces if you want to take home a memory or souvenir. The place is really clean and the staff is helpful.

What can you say about a souvenir shop other than this place is big, it has a wide variety of t-shirts, hats, kids toys and gifts for all ages and the prices are reasonable for most items. But it also has a bar and a covered porch area to watch the beach while the family shops. Free 2-hour parking on some of the nearby side streets.

Nice souvenir shop right on the beach. Great location. Shirts were a bit pricey but for location you couldnt really beat it. Great views of the ocean to and a deck to sit and take it all in with an adult beverage in hand. Which are available for purchase in shop.

Nice clean environment, no gripes of any sort. Get a margarita and sit on the rows of rocking chairs they have towards the back, the way the building is shaped it channels the wind and you get a good breeze.

Incredible gift shop. Murdochs sits on a pier (2 that are connected actually) and from the bridge in the middle you can sit and enjoy a drink or ice cream or just watch the tide come in. Murdochs has a little bit of everything, so you can find the perfect gift for a friend, family member or even something for yourself to remember the island.

There are two large connected stores you can shop in directly on/over the beach.There are so many choices for just about any souvenir youre looking for. Lots of shells, coral, clothing, signs, decor, picture frames, wind chimes, kids toys, jewelry, playing cards, bottles of sand, you name it, they probably have it. They also have a large selection of bottled drinks and a soda bar.There is also a seating area that overlooks the beach. Its worth stopping by.

Great store with so many different things and great views. You can buy souvenirs, shirts, flip flops, snacks, and even a crab. They have a great patio so men can even sit and hang out while women shop :-). Everyone can enjoy just sitting out there rocking in the chairs and enjoying the waves and an ice cream cone.

Weve been coming to Murdochs since I was a child. It is a hit among the whole family. I love to get gift souvenirs here as well. Fantastic margaritas too. Well recommended.

Clean. Upbeat neat store full of pricey cheap knick knacks. Bright, cheerful. Staff in the east bldg was rude/unfriendly. Drinks staff in the west bldg was nice. Cpl of the gals working were miserable and worn out. Wanted to give them a hug. Same products in both side mostly. Frozen 6oz cup of margharita was $12. Beware, if you are sized above a 12, there wont be any clothing to fit. Its apparently the norm to only sell s m and l in Galveston.

From the moment we walked in the store, till the moment we left, we were being watched like we were going to rob the place. When we asked about it,we just got attitude. We asked if we could leave our items on the counter while we shopped and an employee told my handicap mother, whom is riding a handicap scooter, to get a basket that she would have to carry around. Smh My daughter has tourettes, so while we are walking around she is whistling and saying words and getting stared at by employees.. they made us feel uncomfortable and my daughter feel as if she couldnt even be inside. Very disappointed..
