It takes A LOT for me to leave a bad review, but here I am.. As per their new policy, I called a day ahead and scheduled an appointment for a haircut. The day of, I show up five minutes early and wait to be helped. When the stylist, Shawn came over, he informed me that he was on the phone with tech support and there may be some background music. Having worked in retail before, I was extremely understanding. I thought maybe they were having difficululties with their register or equipment in the salon. WRONG. He was on the phone with tech support for his personal Dinsney+ account. I was frustrated, but not super upset about it until he proceeded to give me a haircut while he had his phone in his hand! So I am sitting here while he cuts my hair, one-handed with absolutely no sectioning. After I tell him that its uneven, he told me I would have to pin up the front part of my hair to make the cut even. I was too scared to ask him to cut more as he was obviously paying more attention to his phone call than my hair. I spent $20 on this haircut and now I have to go elsewhere and pay more money to get it fixed!

I got an all over color and a short bob, and Mary was excellent! The price was incredibly reasonable, and the service was friendly and fast. I would definitely recommend trying them out. Mary I just found you Im sad to see you go!

Theyd did so good on my haircut :] I was so nervous going in cause I was planning on cutting off alot of hair. They cut 8+ inches off of my hair, and they did so good ! Ive been getting compliments, and Im so happy with how it turned out. The people were also so kind, and made sure I was getting the cut I wanted. I recommend going here if youre looking to get a haircut, and live nearby.

After this business reopened I called after a couple of weeks knowing they would be busy as I use a wheelchair, and verified they were open and drove there and wheeled inside to find an empty waiting area but was promptly told they were booked up for the day.and then the week. My trip was wasted as a disabled person in a wheelchair it is a task to get myself dressed and travel somewhere taking chances during a pandemic needing a haircut. I am upset that I was not told they were booked up for the day or week when I called. The lady was very curt and unpleasant and wore black horn rimmed glasses with dark hair and brown eyes. Great clips will be getting my business from now on unless I can find a barbershop where Wheel chairs are able to enter and used for a cut as I am a left above knee amputee and need assistance if I sit in a normal chair to get back up.

Had a haircut today. Wouldn’t have tipped $10 on a $15 haircut if I knew how horrible it had been done. The cut was obviously rushed and not checked for quality. it wasn’t cut even anywhere, left side much longer than the right, my bangs were cut at extremely different lengths across, not just a little - over an inch difference, and they lay in my eyes, only layered partially on one side, and only thinned out on one side... .really?How does a stylist have someone walk out the doors looking like this? No pride in their work?If I could I would post a picture.Should’ve known, did not blowout my hair when finished and it was still soaking wet, if it had been dried then the botched haircut would’ve been so much more obvious than it was. After she was finished with the unfinished haircut I was asked if I was happy and she already started to remove the cape until I reminded her of all that I had asked for. Which is why it was never finished because she is there for the tips and not the customer. I’m very low maintenance and it was a standard simple low maintenance hair cut. Guess her teenage daughter that was sitting next to her booth was more important than the paying customer. Unprofessional and tacky.First time coming here to give them another shot after a bad experience a few years ago. I’ll go somewhere else to fix the cut, too afraid to go back to ask for it be corrected, for it to be done worse. I should’ve waited for the other lady that everyone else was patiently waiting for.I’ll no longer waste my time at a place that wants so much more for “styling”/completely finished. But I guess it’s situations like this that the company gets paid regardless of a job well done.The comment someone else left about reusing neck bands are absolutely true. Saw the other lady use the same one on 2 different customers. Against the health department standards.Congratulations Fantastic Sams for still not providing quality service and haircuts to potential future reoccurring customers.l’ll make sure my word of mouth gets out about the standards of quality and professionalism you offer.

Sorry to have to say this was the worst haircut Ive ever received. The stylist was a nice person, but seemed like she was just trying to race to get it done. Hacked at my hair with a razor, very uneven all over. Nothing like the picture I showed her. Very unhappy. Will not go back.

Megan did an amazing job on my haircut! Plus I came in a late around 7:40 and she stayed 5 minutes late finishing up my haircut which is so nice! Highly recommend this place! I’ll definitely be back!

After my first visit I definitely won’t be back. State board should definitely check this place out. First the stylists are in such a rush to get tips they aren’t using neck strips between customers. Disgusting. While I was getting my hair cut I watched the other stylist do a women’s cut, while the stylist was cutting she cut herself. Not once did she walk away and take care of it. Instead she wiped her finger off and continued the cut! Even running her hand through this lady’s hair! The stylist I had left me with a completely botched haircut which I now need to get fixed elsewhere. The stylists don’t take any pride in what they are doing. They just want to get as many people in and out as fast as possible so they can make tips.

I wish I could give a rating with negative stars. I now know why this place is called the butcher shop. My family and I will never return in spite of the convenient location. The man put my sons very long hair in a ponytail and cut it off at the base of his neck causing it to be long in the front and scaled up in the back even shorter like an amateur attempted a girls cut. I asked for it to simply be shoulder length and straight across. It is too short to fix now. My family is especially furious with Christmas visitors and pictures this week.

The manager is awesome! I got a bad haircut that I believed wasnt fixable. I went in and talked to the front desk employee and they got me all fixed up. Everyone absolutely loves my hair. Now that Im used to seeing myself with short hair Im also loving it! I have loved for years did a new hairdresser after mine quit, I finally found my new favorite beautician!

Theyre good on haircuts & colors. Unable to make appt, its walk-in only. I got a perm there about a month ago and the curl is already gone. Not sure if theyre not using high quality product, but it was disheartening to spend so much money on a perm, and it only lasts roughly 3 weeks.

What can I say. They screwed up my hair. Older lady. I felt safe till she buzzed the top of my head. I have very blonde hair. She didnt even attempt to fix it when I asked. I knew better. Went there for a quick cut. And this is the 3rd time in a row they messed it up. After a few laughs from my wife and friends, I will let it grow and wear a hat, and never ever go back to a fanasty Sams. They stuck. Do not go here unless you have months to grow your hair back out.this place sucks...

Horrible wait with no communication. People had left and came back in with their family that were before me. I had no idea there were 10 cuts before me and a full highlight with 2 stylists. No one told me a time. Find out it was an hour and a half wait.

Irritated with fantastic Sams in Gardner I made an appointment for 620 to get highlights in my hair. They were running a special today. Three hair stylist on the floor that i could see I waited an hour just for them to tell me that they close at 8 p.m. and they cant do my highlights what is the point of making an appointment if you are not going to get in. And they proceeded to tell me to come back tomorrow dont you think I have a life too you wasted mine tonight

Went there today to trim my 11yr old daughters hair, not the 1st time we go though. Stylist charges me $14.95, I ask why so much when just 3 weeks ago we were there and I paid $7.95 for the same service. She tells me she doesnt know why I paid that when the price is $14.95 which is an adult price not even what you pay for a kids cut. Wasnt willing to adjust the price, the cut wasnt even great and their service always sucks,I only used them cause the cost was $7.95. Now that they decided to change their prices without notice they wont see me there anymore. Overall they STINK!

I have only got my hair cut 2 but my family goes and loves it

Ive had as many horrible hair cuts as okay ones. Twice having it cut way too short (1/4 on sides with asking for a long pixie did it). It took months to grow it out to the shortest version of the pictures I took in and showed the stylist.I will never go back.

Horrible service! I have been to this place multiple times. Hopeing each time that the last was a fluke. Unfortunately not. I would not recommend to anyone. But cut, bad envirnment and service. If I could give zero stars it would be more appropriate.

I just waited an hour at this place. Stood at the front and they would not check me in. I sat and waited for someone and they would walk up ask everyone else if they needed checked in and then gave me a disgusted look. Awful.

Good service lots of nice hair styles

Typically I like going here - they normally take very good care of me and are understanding. But this last time with my 4 year old daughter I will never be going back again! I took her on Tuesday to get her hair trimmed up and bangs cut - they asked if I had a stylist in mind and I said no (because I havent really had any issues with any of them). Some older man called her back and she sat down in the chair, he got the comb out and started combing out her hair (mind you she had some tangles) he didnt wet her hair down or put de-tangler on her hair he just combed right through them while she was crying the entire time. Every other stylist she has had has ALWAYS put de-tangler in her hair. Then after that whole incident he forcefully pointed her head down and demanded her to stay there and not to move or the cut wont be even. SHE IS 4 YEARS OLD! She is going to move! She cried the ENTIRE time - she has never cried during a hair cut. After the whole thing was over with I left my # with an associate to have a manager call me - NOTHING. No one ever called me to discuss this situation. Unfortunately, with how convenient the location is I will NOT be taking my daughter back there - and I am not even sure if I will be going back there due to their lack of communication to fix the issue!
