With covid still going on food prices are on the rise and will go up way more then it used to...1st time at this store express check lady was really nice and helpful...i will only go here when i need some food just not to do shopping for a 3 week.

Considering the escalating prices they actually had great prices on fruit and chicken

I am a regular shopper at Hannaford. The Gardner location has limited space, so it has not been updated the same as some other locations were in recent years. It is clean, neat, and the staff is very helpful. They do have an updated butcher counter in the meat dept. They took over the liquor store that was next door, and made it their alcohol section. There are self checkouts and regular ones. The service desk was removed, so register 1 can sell lottery, or handle various customer service needs.

Bought brand name crackers all smashed. I just am never impressed.

I mean it is what it is in Gardner, go in get your stuff no one talks to you and you leave. If you go threw self check then really no one talks to you

Its my first time coming to this Super Market which has every thing for food shopping and some. All fresh and organic produce, fresh meat, bakery and liquor store attached. Every thing is well organized and the store is well lit and clean. It locates at a triangle with very busy roads all around it.

Nice store, If they got rid of the liquor store they could really expand the fresh produce Dept. And add more specialty items

Customers should not be totally ignored. Not happy. They talk to one another employees ok but when a customer is confused pacing back and forth and when they try to speak to you you turn your head and walk away. . It was just not the greatest atmosphere.The( cashier he was polite and nice) only nice experience.They need to be more assertive to the customer and remember if it wasnt for the paying customers they wouldnt have JOBS.Perhaps they might spend more if they felt that they mattered.I dont ever plan on going in that particular store ever again

The WORST wine and spirits section. They claim toOpen at 9am for bottle returns and purchases but they don’t. This has been my 12th time waiting for them to open on time and yet of course they didn’t. I told some customers who were in line that they should complain, however they told me that they DID complain and the lady in charge was angry and disrespectful. Change your HOURS if you’re not going to honor them! From now on I’ll be shopping elsewhere. Especially after that woman’s rude reply. What good are hours if you can’t honor them? It’s ridiculous.

Really like Hannafords. Great shopping experience. Produce was in need of restocking.

This place is amazing for veterans. They can actually be considered a Lifeline because of the donations they do for us. The only inconvenience about this store is there location. Parking can be a little bit tricky but there is ample parking. The employees are very friendly and helpful.

Fairly cheap store brands

Grocery store with full liquor license. It a little on the smaller size, but sometimes this is good for quick in and out. Prices are more than fair, employees friendly and helpful.

Great prices! Not as crowded as other local grocery stores. Also has a direct connection to their liquor store, if that’s your “thing”.Only drawback is limited parking, and location has poor traffic management.

This will be my go to grocery store since weve moved to a nearby town.

This is a smaller grocery store. They have all the essentials, a few surprises like beautiful floral arrangements near the entrance, a butcher at the meat counter, and a full-service Deli. They sell wine and beer and have a small selection of other alcoholic beverages.

Hannaford prices are better then price chopper not much but some.

I know grocery prices are increasing alot due to covid-19, but wow they are high here. Ill stick to my regular store and travel 10 to 15 minutes longer.

The store is neatly organized. And easy to negotiate. They keep their prices down. As to ensure customer returns. Majority of the staff are very attentive towards their positions. All in all a decent, comfortable experience shopping.

I love the produce here.. the employees are very helpful and friendly.. the store is very clean. The only issue is the prices of items are much higher then market basket and I can see how much business they have lost because of it..

Best meat department in Gardner. Come a long way from the Victory Market days. Smaller store, so you dont have to hike a quarter mile just to get a jug of milk.

I always find good selections and dont need to shop around for better prices. Hannaford brand products at least as good as brand name products. Staff always friendly and helpful. Time for them to all receive a raise in salary.

Could price easy shopping In-N-Out

Hannafords has been my favorite grocery store for a couple of decades. Recently however their prices have skyrocketed causing me to shop at more than one grocery store in order to maximize my bang for my buck. However, you cannot get better meats anywhere and their customer service cannot be beaten. They have a great crew of friendly, helpful and fast workersthat go above and beyond to make your shopping experience as pleasant as possible.

My GO-TO store. Theyre in a convenient location and carry ALMOST everything I want. Only a few negatives. I HATE that parking lot. Wish theyd build a wall at the back so they could lower it, and make it flat. Pushing full carts up-hill isnt fun. Plus they need to move the entrance down, to make traffic safer. Only other thing is I hate the new registers with the short belts. Set-up seems less efficient and lots of waiting to check out on busier days. BUT, decent prices and they have almost everything I want in a clean location.

They always want to do what is right by the customer. Cheaper than anywhere around and their app on my phone has lots of coupons and rewards.

Nice store clean with a helpful staff good selection of products. Only thing is careful when pulling out of the parking lot. People drive a little fast coming down the hill.

I went shopping and I must say this is my favorite super market. They have name brand items, generic items and items made by themselves daily all at reasonable prices. They often have great coupons too so you can really get good savings. Everything is easy to find and right where youd think itd be and they have a large selection of food and ingredients. I love shopping here. The cashiers are very friendly as well.

I have shopped at Hannaford for several years. The staff is always friendly. Sometimes a product or option (size/flavor) is discontinued by corporate, but if I mention it they will try to get some for me anyway.

Prices are okay but change a lot.. People are good but some visits I have had werent the best because if u call out for help for something when Im disabled and they call security because you r yelling when I walk with a cane n cant walk around to look anymore because not enough disabled carts for more than 2 people so I had to try and walk n they were rude about yelling but was not screaming just saying my brothers name and saying I lost my brother n I needed the help but they dont tolerate anything think everybody acting wrong before they find out why n instead of being nice and asking me to keep it down and was not swearing they could have helped me and called for him over the intercom but no they threatened to kick me out after I got my food n hurt myself doing so n almost called the cops because while the security guard was yelling at me I didnt even know at this point they were behind me as I was paying to leave n they actually said I had to leave my stuff after already went shopping without knowing why or anything and was very rude about it saying never to come back so u think about it before u go there could be nicer workers or security were mean n workers were not helping me why I had to yell in the 1st place

Its got every thing you need in a grocery store and more. FRESHEST produce and meats in town hands down. Clean and well lit and a liquor store attached its a great place to prepare for a BBQ or party. Not crazy on the prices, but you get quality. Plus if your a smart shopper the weekly sales is a good way to cut corners on that grocery bill.

Rotisserie chicken looked like an unseasoned raw carcass not suited for human consumption. Not appetizing. Based off chicken alone would not consume any other in house products.

Nice selection for a smaller market, especially the hot lunch food. Love the General Tsos Tenders!

Quick in and out trip... had what I needed also a cereal we normally get on clearance. Used self checkout, was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Which I liked.

I love shopping at the Gardner Hannaford. Friendly and helpful staff and the prices are the best in town. The only downside is limited parking and I think the produce section could be better. Out of the 4 grocery stores in Gardner, Hannafords is my number 1 choice!!

Low prices and a small, quaint store for all your basic necessities. Parking lot is a nightmare, always be on the lookout. Has five large lane checkouts and four self-checkouts with service always ready and eager to help if asked for. None of the employees were fired due to the self-checkouts being implemented. Attached to a full liquor store that closes an hour before the main store. SMALL STORE, do not expect big store services and inventory. Rewards program is easy and quick, only uses your phone number and no card.

Store is on the small size. Well stocked,clean and staff are nice. Prices are pretty good. I have no complaints.

I find your new rewards program to be much to complicated to use, especially for those that dont use computers. Your program assumes that everybody has a smartphone or at least access to a computer. I hear many others saying the same thing. You would gain more customer loyalty by taking the 2% off at checkout and applying coupons that apply.

I like having the option to purchase alcohol while I grocery shop. Its nice if youre having a party. I wouldnt recommend buying your produce here. Its always a little suspect.

A smaller sized market that has just about all of what you need. Due to its smaller size it does not have amenities like a florist shop or pharmacy. Parking can also be a concern during peak times and holidays. With any luck this store will relocate to a soon to be abandoned supermarket at a nearby plaza.

I love Hanneys. Great rotisserie. Always friendly staff. Most actually seem happy to be there. Surprising for a market.

Not the best prices, but certainly a great variety and very friendly staff. This one has a redemption and liquor store attached. It is in the middle of a rotary and super convenient just off of rte 2.

I have always shopped at Hannaford in Gardner, in fact I even worked there when it was Victory Market. Hannaford always has a great produce section and the inspiration deli meats are fantastic. The reason for two stars is because of the customer service. The front end team has a number of employees that are down right rude. One, for which I will not name called me out for having 15 items in the 14 item or less line. I didnt catch the extra bacon below the aluminum pan. I asked this employee if he would like for me to put the bacon back and he sighed and said no it is cool but pay attention next time.

2** deli customer service** RUDE RUDE RUDE I have seen it so many times.. the lady behind the counter shes SOOO SOOO rude. How is it that shes still working at Hannaford?! **5*****overall. Great prices for the most part, sometimes if you hit it right every once and a while youll hit a 50% off on frozen items - pizza, ice cream, and many more. Its usually when I go in for 1 thing! You can never go in for just one thing dispite ones efforts. Produce is fresh 95% ( bad lettuce %5) of the time Ive never been disappointed unlike price chopper..produce sale 90% something is bad.. blueberries this week 1.77 price chopper... gross!! Parking lot terrible, location terrible, getting in and out onto the road to traffic terrible.. prices are somewhat similar to Market Basket, better than any other local store. Meat department is always good! Always fresh and stocked but dont go looking for a corn beef 10:00a.m. on Easter Sunday thinking they have them and yell at the guy in the meat department...why dont you have anymore? I witnessed this last year. Lol. Self checkout is great if u need help they are happy to help you! Maybe they will get rid of that rude lady behind the counter at the deli & I wont have to travel to another store to avoid her. Now I just wait for the next person to be available so I dont have to to have her cut my cold cuts. Rude && LAZY
