If you are looking for the best tattoo shop around. You’ve found it! Not only do they all do amazing quality work, they are all super friendly. I have had all of my tattoos and piercings done here. Ben M has been phenomenal with all my ideas he made possible. Beth is an amazing piercer and you won’t find someone else around that is more knowledgeable and accepting than her! I could not have asked for a better experience. From the time you walk in you are greeted to the time whatever service you have done is complete, you are taken care of. I tell everyone I know this is the best shop around.
Clint was great! My friend and I were walk in clients. He was able to get us in and give us exactly what we asked for! Great quality work, professional, and very personable! He even remembered me from my job at Bar K! I’ll definitely be back for more tattoos from Clint!
My family came here for our very first tattoo and when you walk in this place is welcoming and humble. All the artists are incredible and make you feel at home. Alright, I know everyone thinks their tattoo artist is the best and they wouldn’t change their artist, I will totally agree with you! However, at Revelations, it’s not just my tattoo artist, everyone of them are equally as good as mine. Not only with their styles of art but with their personalities and the fact that they treat their clients like family and friends! So, if you go there and you can’t get a walk in right then, I promise you it is worth making the appointment even with the deposit if needed. My girl Charlie has done two incredible pieces on me in the last two weeks, one of which, was a massive coverup on my forearm. John is probably one of the realist and coolest owners of tattoo shops that I have ever met. Once Charlie finishes my sleeve I will definitely be going back for more from revelations! Some people may say “but they are pricey.” First off any tattoo worth a damn should cost you because it’s permanent!!!! But at Revelations it is most definitely worth the cost! Coolest group of people I have met in awhile with the best ink I’ve ever had! Thank you John, Charlie, Jeff, Brandy and all the rest of you there. I absolutely give them all 10 plus stars hands down! I’ve shared pictures and let me be clear the writing is what Charlie covered up.
I’ve gotten tattoos from here before and I love them a lot. They are great quality and they still haven’t faded after a year or two of having them done. I just got a piercing today from Beth and I’m definitely going to come back to get more. She is such a professional.
All their staff are top notch good people to be around. All do excellent work. The owner John Monk is a straight up guy cant be more happier with the work Ive got done and going to do a lot more.
Love this place more then words can describe. Walked in to get something small on my arm in August last year, now I have a full sleeve and a chest plate, Jeff Seeds has done all my work and it’s amazing. John Monk and everyone I’ve met or talked with at the shop is extremely friendly, multiple people i work with have gone to this shop for tattoos and piercings and it’s always turned out to be a positive experience. If your looking for any type of tattoo or piercing in Kansas or Missouri I always recommend this place.
I got my first tattoo ever here on a walk-in day, done by Beau. Had to wait a while (the place was packed, get there EARLY) but it was absolutely worth it. Beau was great. He took my reference photo and replicated it perfectly. Im really happy with the placement and the tattoo itself. Ill definitely be coming back here for my next one.
I’ve been here twice for piercings from Beth. She’s super kind and professional! I was in and out in just a few minutes. The lady at the front desk is welcoming and helpful as well. John came over and looked at a tattoo design I’ve been wanting even though I was just there for a piercing! Overall super friendly and professional :)
Clint was my artist and he was amazing! He did a wonderful job on my tattoo and made sure to ask how I liked my tattoo as he was doing it. One of the women working there sat and talked with me to calm my nerves, it was such good service!

Awesome place. I read the negative 1 star reviews and this place is not like what they are describing at all. I had no issue here. Went in the day before kinda late and couldnt get my piercing done but did get to talk to someone about some tattoo ideas. Came back the next day, filled out the paperwork, not 5 minutes later I got my septum pierced. :)They were quick, friendly, professional, and clean!

Stopped in yesterday. Called in ahead of time to check availability and the guy who answered was very friendly which is not the same for other shops around. The shop was full when we got there but the staff was still doing a great job of taking care of everyone. I think it was Ben who did two small tattoos for me but he was very helpful making sure I got what I want. This was my first time at this shop and will come back again.

Spontaneous tattoo...I had pretty much no wait time except to figure out my design and for Ben to draw it up. It was a Friday afternoon about 3ish and there were 3 girls ahead of me for the same artist and a few in the seats already. Within the hour of me getting my tattoo the whole lobby was full... Thats a good thing! Ive been there before and the service was great, from the girl getting us all lined up to the actual work being done. This time there were different people in there but the service was still great! My tattoo seemed a little pricey BUT good work dont come cheap... I walked away completely happy with the experience! Usually here every few weeks to get something new. all the artists are fair priced and talented at what they do. like I said. I’ll probably be back to Revelation in a week or two for something new.

Jeff Seeds does phenomenal work, and I havent seen a tattoo walk out of that place that was anything less than amazing. I cant wait to get back in for more!

Quick and easy experience. Salon was clean and staff were super friendly. Went to get my cartilage pierced and everything was pre-packaged in sterile bags. Would go back for any future piercings!

I went in with my daughter because I told her I’d pay for her tattoo when she turned 18. She is 19 now and decided to go. I only went to pay for it. LOL. As I was there we showed them what I have wanted for 10 years but have always chickened out. I am so glad I was there. My daughter went in to get her first tattoo they treated her very poorly. They wouldn’t let her friend in to be with her. They mad her lay down so she couldn’t see the tattoo they didn’t show her the stencil. Brent gave her what ever tattoo he wanted not at all the tattoo she asked for. She’s broken hearted I would never recommend this place to anyone 😡

Terrible place! Be careful! I explained it was my first tattoo. First he did the tattoo wrong, it was a grammar symbol and he flipped it backwords, so he had to redo it and make it much bigger to fix it. I was given no instructions just to wash it a lot for the next 3 days so I did that, when the scarring started I pealed it not knowing that was bad. When I asked for a touch up he said it would be free only if I get a second 100$ tattoo (tattoo is about the size of a penny). So I made the appointment and came back, however, he no showed and some other guy offered to do it. He seemed very upset and did a quick mess of a tattoo with holes. I need a touch up for both now.
I was looking to get my nose pierced and I had a horrible experience with the shop down the street so I was driving down N. Oak Tfwy to find another place. I walked into Revelation Tattoo and I was greeted within a reasonable amount of time. It was very clean and organized. Beth came up promptly and had me fill out a consent form. She was very pleasant and friendly. It only took her about 3-5 minutes to get ready for me before she brought me back. I told her I was nervous because it was my first piercing. Beth reassured me that I had no reason to be scared. She had a very calming personality. It went by so quickly I almost didnt realize what was goin on! Long story short... I thanked her for being so professional and told her that Id be back with my husband for some tattoos. I always rate positive experiences. Hopefully my next experience with this place will be just as good this one.

It was not a welcoming atmosphere as soon as we walked in. I showed them a picture of the exact tattoo that I wanted. The receptionist took a picture of it and went to show the artist. They wanted to charge 180 for a medium sized tattoo which was overpriced, she then said she would do it for 140. Mind you the artist didn’t come up to speak to us not once. The receptionist sent us to her area as soon as we went she told us to move out of the way so she can move the chair with an attitude. She didnt introduce herself or even bother saying hi. I sat down in the chair and she told me to put my arm on the rest and slapped the stencil on my wrist. She didn’t even ask if I was satisfied with the placing or look of it. She just started tattooing and didn’t care that I was in pain and was saying ouch. She was just rushing to get it out the way.
Went there a week ago and shown them a picture of a large tattoo I wanted on my shoulder. They told me because of the size it needed to be an appointment only tattoo which is understandable. I called later in the week attempting to make an appointment to have it done. Weekends worked best for me and I asked for an appointment on Saturday. Receptionist told me they only do walk ins on the weekends. So there was a smaller one I wanted and went in today (August 1) after Driving over two 2 hours to get there. Showed the receptionist what tattoo it was that I was wanting. Everything seemed ok after I showed them what I wanted and told us it would be about a 45 minute wait. So we waited for 2 1/2 hours before they could get to us. When they did get to us the artist came out to look at what it was that I was wanting. He said that the tattoo I was wanting he did not have time to do that day because he had an appointment at 4 and another at 5. This was pretty confusing and aggravating to me as they said they did not take appointments on the weekends when I had inquired about making one. So I guess it just depends on who you are if you can get or need an appointment on the weekends?? If I would have known all this from the beginning that it was too much for them to do I would have picked something else as there were several other tattoos I was wanting. Guess it just boils down to who you are and how good your money is, then maybe you can get what you want from them. Extremely unprofessional environment and even worse communication. Definitely will not return.
