Absolutely obsessed with my new tattoo. Inky did a great job with my rework/cover-up. She worked with me on my vision and really brought it to life. The shop also did a great job with sanitization, temp checks, etc with the current Covid situation. Excited to go back for my second session.

I went in for my first tattoo yesterday, and I could not have had a better experience. The atmosphere was clean, brightly lit and welcoming. Ely did my tattoo, and she is such a sweet and kind person. She led me through all of the steps kindly and gently, putting my nerves immediately at ease.The tattoo she did for me is GORGEOUS. It is exactly what I wanted - I wouldnt change one thing about it. She was wonderful through the process, too, making sure to take frequent enough breaks so that I could stand up and stretch and look at the progress in the mirror.If I ever get another tattoo, it will be with Ely at Idle Hands.

Amazing artists and very friendly, no pressure atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get tattoos in memory of our late grandmothers. After my grandmothers funeral, just yesterday, we strolled into the shop (along with some other family members) and Robin and the young lady were very welcoming and helped us immediately. Robin was fast and excellent and made me feel very comfortable, especially with it being my first tattoo. He even allowed me to have my family stand and watch in support, he joked with everyone and made us feel like we had known him for years lol. :-) I will be back again very soon!

Ria was so compassionate, friendly and professional. She made sure that every single moment from talking with her on the phone to the,way she treated not only me but * every * single customer was treated with a level of customer service you rarely see anymore. She also put her own little flair into my design which just made it that more special !!!!! 💖

Saw an advertisement for marvel related black friday tattoos and reached out to the artist about a piece i wanted to get started for my son. I havent gone to a shop since my preferred artist past away and Mariana went out of her way to make me comfortable in getting new work. I had to push my appointment back due to court and she still found time to work around my schedule. My tattoo turned out amazing, its juggernaut and she did a great job, the details on his helmet and hands are incredible. Cant wait to go back for my next piece. Highly recommend to anyone.

So this happened a while ago, and I wasn’t going to say anything until I realized Idle Hands does flash events often. I went to a Friday the 13th flash event about a year ago. My boyfriend and I each selected an exclusive design that had to be done by their artist Sheryl. They took our names and told us the wait would be about 3 hours. No big deal. We came back 3 hours later and were told the same thing. At this point we’re confused but assumed that because we had selected these exclusive designs they were thrown off? We originally selected our designs at 3 Pm, and ended up not getting our tattoos started until 4 am. We meet Sheryl, who was very friendly, but very unprofessional. She complained about her lack of training from previous shops and told us this was the first “real” shop she had worked at, and she had only been there a few weeks. She played on her phone and laptop during the tattoo, which was obviously not sanitized, and would continue to tattoo without changing gloves. She informed us that she had never even done a color tattoo until that day. My boyfriend went first and his piece wasn’t too bad, so I went next. The stencil was very messed up, but instead of redoing it she left it and tried to work through it. She was very heavy handed considering the piece was over scars, and she tore my skin in several places. In the meantime, my friend was getting tattooed by the owner in another room, who gave her a very messy and blown out tattoo. Later on when she complained about the shop the owner got in a very unprofessional argument with her on Facebook blaming my friend for choosing to get tattooed at 6 am, when she was the one who continued to take clients well into the morning. If she wasn’t in a state to tattoo she shouldn’t have tattooed anyone and could have rescheduled or stopped accepting clients after a certain number. Meanwhile, Sheryl was digging into my skin and gave me a very uneven and sloppily done tattoo, which later did become infected, I’m sure due to her poor sanitation techniques (again, she was playing on her phone and laptop in the middle of the tattoo.. people play with their phones on the toilet.. once gloves are on you shouldn’t be touching anything that hasn’t been sanitized). In their defense, i got the infection treated myself and never alerted the shop, but I’m seeing more and more flash events from this shop and have to warn how poorly they handle them. I did also originally ask for color with my tattoo which would cost extra. They told me how much when they took my name. After the sloppy linework Sheryl decided she didn’t want to do the color, and I agreed because at that point I could already see that my skin was torn and very bloody (this coming from a person with 14 large tattoos including work over scars, this was an abnormal amount of blood) and the tattoo itself was uneven and poorly done. She never adjusted the price, however, but I didn’t point it out because at that point I was exhausted, so sad about this tattoo, and just wanted to leave. I can’t speak for how they are on a day to day, but I can say the flash events are awful. They take on too much of a work load because they don’t turn people away, they lie about wait times, and additionally the owner attacks people on Facebook for not being happy with her messy work, and she employs people who don’t understand basic santization techniques. Just be careful.

Idle Hands is fantastic. Nice atmosphere, spacious, clean, comfortable, friendly. I was tattooed by Brookelle Bombshelle and my cousin was tattooed by Brian Dollar. Both did excellent work and were very kind. Brook was so entertaining I felt like wed been friends for years lol definitely distracted me from the painHighly highly recommended. And very responsive if you contact them on FB.

Owner is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I am absolutely appalled by the way she runs her business. I witnessed her loudly talking about letting an artist go... while there were customers in the shop. This shop is full of drama that they in no way, shape, or form attempt to hide from the customers. I suggest not going, unless you like ripped off art, drama, and an unprofessional atmosphere.
