If you are serious about cycling then this shop is what you need. I have purchased 2 road bikes and have had many bikes serviced by them over the past 20 years. Excellent service and good selection of bikes. I have seen his custom bikes frames built by Rick and can attest that are top notch.
Quick, affordable service! love them
Road Runners is a great shop, Rick is great! This shop was able to source a hard-to-get part proprietary to my race bike in 2 days, they fixed my vintage Vespa to get it running top notch again, and Ill be taking another vintage motorcycle to have Rick repair toward the end of the summer. To top it off, Im always well greeted by Moose.
$36 to tighten the brakes on a $90 bike. Honestly, I thought it would be free or $15 at the most. Always ask the price before dropping off! My son still cant stop properly.
Thank you for the service over the years. I hope everyone in your family finds peace over time.
I WAS SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING, I ATTEMPTED TO BUY THE BIKE I WANTED 3 TIMES...THE FIRST 2 TIMES THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD PUT THE BIKE TOGETHER AND THAT I SHOULD COME BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY WHEN I CAME BACK THE BIKE WAS SOLD, THE 3RD TIME I TRIED TO PAY IN ADVANCE TO ASSURE THAT THE BIKE WOULD BE READY, BUT THEY WOULD NOT TAKE PAYMENT AND ASSURED ME EVERYTHING WOULD BE FINE, THEY NEVER GOT MY BIKE SHIPPED AND AGAIN WAITED..THE BIKE ARRIVES THEY PUT IT TOGETHER AND DONT BOTHER TO CONTACT ME AND TELL ME THAT THE WRONG BIKE WAS SHIPPED! I CALLED AND CALLED AND I WAS ASSURED EVERYTHING WAS FINE....THE STAFF WAS CONDESCENDING AND RUDE (YES RICK IM TALKING ABOUT YOU) THEY RAN OFF A VERY SERIOUS CUSTOMER AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME!
Small shop with a somewhat limited in-stock selection but with an engaged and knowledgable owner. Its also pretty cool to see vintage motorcycles on repair stands in the very well equipped service area. This is a cool little shop that Id appreciate having available if I lived in the area.
Ive recommended friends to this shop for good reason. Knowledgeable, friendly, and quick. When my usual shop had backlog for service, I brought a bike in right before a race. Super fast turn around and the bike was DIALED in. Rick pulled me out of a jam and earned my respect. Ive since been back numerous times and proudly recommended him to my friends.
Road Runners is my local spot and I couldnt be happier to have such a great shop so close to home. Over the past 6 years I have brought my mountain and road bikes to Rick and his dad and have received superior service, whether it be something small like buying a brake cable or something large like a warranty issue. Prices are always fair and service is quick and reliable. Rick is a very talented mechanic, not to mention a skilled frame builder. If you live on the North Shore of Long Island this is the bike shop to support!
It. A good place got a 150 $ for a bike
Have been dealing with these fellows for over thirty years. Great guys, great service! I recommend to all my friends!
Great shop. The service and prices are excellent and they have great people working there.
Got me a bike that Im very happy with for less than I thought I would have to spend. Very friendly and made sure everything fit.
Clean & neat shop,,,,,, this is very important bottom line spend your $$ here these guys have a very good reputation & i can see why my gs1150 runs excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went there to have them change a set of motorcycle tires. I brought the tires there off the bike and picked them up the next day. I have done this in the past and they charged something like ~$40. That was 2 years back but I figured it wouldnt be much more. They charged me $75 which is more than what my dealer would have charged. Also, when I put the rims back on the bike I noticed little chips/scratches along the edge of the rim. Prior to having them install the tires the rims/tires were brand new- never changd before so there is no way anyone else could have done it. I just wish I noticed when I picked up the rims or I wouldnt have paid them. So I paid $75 to have them scratch a set of $600+ rims... Of course Im not happy
Rich & Dad are great people and awesome mechanics...
They are friendly and quick -- not sure why people saying overpriced -- they fixed my tire for a reasonable price -- great place to get bike tuned up & its good to support a local shop.
