I go here often because its walking distance from my house so I can say with confidence that that food/produce from here is low quality and lacking in taste. Especially the fish market. I now travel to farther markets because this place is pretty bad.

Sometimes good but never great stuff; always expensive, frequently nasty staff, especially at the deli. Great bread, weird baked goods. Tight aisles. Don’t order catering, very disappointing.

Second time in a row I’ve gotten moldy olives and eaten them before realizing. They were marked way before the expiration date, not the same kind either. Would of been 5 stars aside from that bc I love everything else.

This was my second time at this location in the last three weeks. So on the positive side, this location is larger the the ones in Port Washington and also Mineola, which means a wider selection. I got something I had never seen in the other stores - chicken wings. They were very good, along with their homemade spinach Seems to have better management also.Negative stuff - produce section is not run well. Many items have no prices shown, while other prices were kind of difficult to see. Today, there was an employee removing the outer layer of some type of lettuce, and just throwing them on the floor, right where customers were walking. No gloves, bare hands on the product and just tossing them all around, totally oblivious to everyone around her. Five minutes after she was done, another woman came along with a broom and swept up the pile. Not sanitary, so it makes me question if any employees have been trained in food handling or infectious disease prevention. Wash your produce well if you shop here and watch out for sloppy, hazardous behaviors.

This review is for Ronald at the seafood Dept.Today I finally got a chance to ask him his name, the best fishmonger in my eyes, Ronald! So I can properly say Thank you, Ronald, for making shopping at NSF that much more warmer and pleasant!To posses traits of being a master with craftsmanship not only must you have unparalleled skills but evenly important to have integrity in my opinion if not more. Ronald got it all. He always prepares my fish cuts so neat like preparing for sashimi. He answers phone order with gentle and responsible voice. He is always attentive to customers.Wait, have I mentioned Ronald also got some good people skills? He talks with confidence and street smartness. A business can have an employee like Ronald is like winning a lottery. People makes the essence of a business.Thank you Ronald again!

Many good points and many bad. Three or four times in the passed couple of months I have brought home bad organic milk from sunshine farms. Expiration dates well in advance of purchase. Is care not taken while sitting around waiting to be refrigerated? Also, when ordering cold cuts they always go over the amount requested. This way I presume they sell more product, but I dont want more product, I want what I asked for

Clerk and bagger refused to speak English and acted like I wasn’t there. Rudest service I ever had at this place in 10 years. Horrible. Why isn’t there even one white person on staff? Would be helpful to have someone that speaks American.

Great meats and fish section. A big variety of cheese and fresh produce. The manager could be friendlier but overall recommended.

Not only is there no cell phone service anywhere in the store to check recipes or call to ask questions, but the aisles are so small I feel like Im gonna knock something over everytime I visit. Plus the lack of covid safety shown is upsetting to say the least. The one positive is they do have a great assortment of products.

Remember to take a jacket cuz its very cold but you know you want fresh food who is an expected side of the store but you will freeze if you dont bring your jacket ☺️

A nice gourmet market, that is still priced well, very clean and organized! The produce, meat and seafood are fresh and well stocked. Theres a sushi bar, deli and cooked foods along with breads, cheeses and prepared dips.

North Shore Farms is convenient is right in the great location ideal spot....But I dont like my meat to have ideal spots in great locations I went to North Shore Farms about 2 days ago I bought some veal to smoke it and make some smoked veal Milanese and I open my fridge and the meat was blue with pus spots or bruises I have no clue this is not the first time that this has happened is baby like the 12 within the the few years theyve been open Ive never said anything until now that was the straw that broke the camels backThe cakes have mold on them sometimes the only thing fresh in the building I believe is the sushi I got some lasagna chicken cutlets and they had a sour acidic tasteSo I made the switch the best Market prices of better the store has more space to maneuver in the Isles with other people shopping they give you samples and make juices they have a great day Curry you can recycle your cans at the location best Market is in the name and in the hospitality

Been here many times and they never fail to impress with the drinks and ice cream! The games and chess tables are extremely nifty and cute! Lovely ambiance! My only criticism of this place is that the smell is terrible, and there is mold underneath the chess pieces. Very unappetizing and unappealing.

They sell old melons, produce, peaches are dry and expired yogurts. The deli food is prepared in the basement. The deli attendants are talking about their love life. They really move slower than turtles. Customers are tasting the soups spreading germs. They shouldnt allow this.

Tremendous cheese department. They have lots of prepared foods and various spreads, sauces, soups and pastas and organic produce. They do same day DELIVERY! A couple items were missing, but a very nice staff person had them delivered the same day thankfully since we really needed them. Thanks!

Most reasonable A grade green grocers in the area compared to the couple of ridiculously expensive organic food store on Forest Ave. They staff is always willing to help with picking fresh fruit. They will gladly help you pick ripe fruit and best vegetables. Super cooked food variety with plenty of samples available for tasting. Love this market. Total bang for your buck.

Very good grocery store.We like the grocery store because it has excellent fresh fruit and vegetables. Their butcher shop and fish store area is also quite good. Come to think of it there deli and bakery area are also quite good! So why not 5 stars you ask? Because their aisles are too narrow for my taste. It can be a challenge just going down them when someone else is in the aisle. Tip: While I usually prefer to buy Boars Head products, their own North Shore Farms house brand roast beef (Double R Ranch, I think) is excellent.

Really good, they have some of the best cuts of meats you can find in the area, they are a bit pricey but you are getting solid quality. They have perfect cuts and meat selected for BBQs and their fruit is fantastic. The staff is always busy, so finding help can be difficult but they are friendly.

Lovely store with mostly friendly staff and excellent produce. Sometimes the checkout people are preoccupied with chatting each other up and not focusing on your purchases, but if you smile and are friendly they are as well.The store does not seem to accept bottle or plastic bag returns. It is also very narrow, so if its crowded people tend to get a bit cranky, especially around busy times like holidays. Good deli counter, nice fish/lobster and sushi selection and excellent large cheese selection.

Great supermarket! Unbelievable, huge selection of cheeses -- imported and local, greater than Ive seen anywhere. Very nice selection of meats. Love their selection of freshly roasted coffee. Lots of organic products available as well. The pricest are not the cheapest but reasonable, only slightly more expensive for comparable goods to Stop and Shop, for example, and more quality products.

Just make sure the frozen food is not expired. Also, they disconnect the freezer to save some $$$ in electricity. I found the waffles all unfrozen and I said to them that the refrigerator doesnt work, light was off and waffle soft(not frozen), they didnt care.

Great Small Supermarket that has pretty much everything, and they have a great selection of gourmet stuff, Their fruits are always fresh, their meat department is being upgraded at the moment but they have the best lean meat in town, their Deli has so much to offer, I feel the staff is always nice and friendly. Tom at the Deli has done a great job teaching everyone, Julio is great, Karim, MD everyone still works there after a long time.

By far the best North Shore Farms, for proactive, friendly customer interactions. It made shopping that much better. Observed and personally experienced how the employees kindness, respect, patience and honest interactions led to the customers extended the same interactions to other customers near them. The customers would engage others, making them part of the conversations. Ive been to North Shore Farms in Port Washington, Glen Cove, Mineola, Great Neck, and, Whitestone. Love shopping at all the locations. But, the Glen Cove location, truly gets up front and personal with all their customers. The mgr takes feedback to heart and makes any necessary changes to address any problems or concerns. The employees behind the deli, service IS a 10. The stores layout and products are in your face, in a nice way. I wanted soup. I didnt know which one I should get. The customers showed me, right in my face were small cups to sample the soups. I loved it, and it contributed to me purchasing two different kinds of soup. No surprises when I got home. I already knew both soups were delicious. I always had a soft spot for North Shore Farms in Port. The deli there, everything was great. But, when I shop at the others for the same kale salad and, grilled salmon. Or, the chicken wing and or soup. I found the taste and presentation, was not the same. Well, the Glen Cove location reminded me why I enjoyed North Shore Farms, so much. Yes, well, hello, North Shore Farms, in Glen Cove, Im back. P.S. I still wont buy fresh salmon. Personally, all NSFs are over priced, $19.99, $25.99 or $29.99lb. Love them, but will go elsewhere for fish.

They sell mostly the same items as any other grocery store. This makes it convenient to go to. They also sell premium prepared foods. The meals they sell prepared are often stale and expired. I have had several bad experiences with their prepared foods, including containers that had flies in them. Dont buy their prepared foods and youll be fine.
