Ive been shopping at Sam Ash ever since my friend recommended me this place about a year ago. I just bought my first Tele here, and I will most likely come back to get me a new amp. People here make you feel so welcome, and theyre very knowledgeable. I would totally recommend Michael in the guitar department, hes a pro.

The people at the Phoenix store are great! Very helpful and friendly. They let you take all the time you want to check out and test the gear. I only wish the New York office would allow in store groups again and stay open until 9:00 pm.

Sheet music is so hard to find in stores. This store had books and music you could hold in your hand, thumb through. Didnt care how long you took. Very helpful to lead me to the right area. Ill be back.

One of the better guitar stores in the valley. Almost always has a good selection of instruments, strings, accessories ect. They staff is always knowledgeable and friendly and will take the time to talk about music related stuff. Ive never had my guitar set up here but my buddy does and he is always satisfied.

The team on the floor is always helpful. Regardless of my reason for coming in they give me their time without feeling like I’m an inconvenience. Over the past few years, Sam Ash has slowly become my go-to shop for all of my gear. I haven’t had better customer service, attention and expertise/valuable information from anyone/anywhere especially from Michael in the guitars section. The guy is literally a wealth of a knowledge and you can tell his passion for music and instruments. I 10/10 know that my gear is in good hands any time I go to Sam Ash and every recommendation I’ve gotten from here has been incredible. I always know I’ll be taken care of at Sam Ash.

Knowledgeable staff, very nice and helped me find what I needed. Seemed like there may be staffing issues in their repair department so I hope they address that and start giving people more hours. It shouldnt take so long, people make professions from music so figure it out please.

I have been here and other guitar centers in town many times and I prefer this shop. Employees know their jobs well and they are not pushy. The inventories fluctuate depend what day of the week you visit this shop. 10/10 would recommend.

While my son returned a guitar, I shopped through the piano music. I apparently need more lessons. Not much for easy to play tunes without kids on the cover. But I found something regardless.

This is my go to store. I have been buying everything from here including my last 4 Guitars. And a drum set. Even had a guitar shipped to me from the Queens NY store. Just a great staff. This was my first time to visit Same Ashe after driving by for years. I am a videographer and thought the store was only for musicians. Boy, was I ever wrong! The staff was extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly.I can stop buying some of my equipment online now.

Ever since I got introduced to Sam Ash store back in 2018 when I purchased my first Taylor guitar, I have been coming back again and again. Gentlemen like Ramon, Michael and Sam (Just to name a few) are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Always willing to help you and never pressure you into purchasing something.

Better customer service than guitar center also have way more inventory. Was actually able to walk out with not only what i needed but also what i wanted. Hard to do these days.

Sam in guitars is always so incredibly knowledgeable and helps my son find exactly what he needs. He’s very patient with my son and my son looks forward to going to see him often. The products we buy from Sam Ash are great quality. I prefer to shop there and support them because of the amazing customer service & personalized experience over shopping online.Even tho it’s a 25 minute drive, it’s worth it every time. You can’t put a price on good people with good intentions like those who work at Sam Ash!

Jake was a great help with my trade in and getting my new guitar ordered.The entire staff was fantastic and pleasant to deal with.I live much closer to another store, but i am more than happy to drive triple the distance for their customer service and warm smiles.Sam Ash gave me a much better trade than the competitor offered.

I would give it a 3.5 star rating - partly due to the pandemic. Pleasant sales people offered to assist if I needed it. (Thats nice, even if I didnt need the help right then). The store was clean. The store was also very light on product inventory (due to the current state of EVERYTHING) - which is understandable, but still disappointing. I would like to be able to SEE and TRY OUT more guitars and basses in person than they have in store available - rather than just order it online and hope its what I like (and maybe have to RETURN IT). perhaps one day again, that will be possible.

The service was PHENOMENAL as usual. Which is why I usually prefer Sam Ash over GC!!! Very Helpful...

Sam Ash is a great store with helpful employees and reasonable prices. My only complaint is their selection of drums, guitars and amps seems to get smaller all the time. They have a fair number of Gibson Les Pauls and Fender guitars, but they were very limited on things like mid range Ibanez’s, Schecters, Jacksons, and Charvels. It’s hard to purchase guitars and amps in the $1000 price range if you can’t try them first and it seems like the local guitar center and Sam Ash locations are lacking in inventory.

I went to Sam Ash to trade my like new Fender Twin Tone Master for a new Fender Blues Deluxe. The sales guy was very friendly and helpful. He unboxed the Blues Deluxe and set me up to play it. I knew in 2 minutes it was what I wanted. We agreed upon a price and that I would return at noon the next day with my trade in to complete the deal. He said he was off the next day but would leave all the info with another guy. I arrived at the agreed upon time and they said I should talk to Mr. Rodrigez. Another very nice sales person. For some reason he knew nothing about the deal and had to call the sales guy at home. I should have had the deal all printed out and signed so I wouldn’t have had to wait for 45 minutes. Very poor communication. I am 75 years old and can only look around for so long. I am not upset with Sam Ash for the poor communication. They will be my go to store from this point on instead of Guitar Center for many reasons which I will not enumerate. They always give better trade in deals which you can tell because they always have more used equipment on hand. Secondly, they made a deal with me sight unseen. Of course my Tone Master was like new. Guitar Center wouldn’t even talk to me or give me an idea what they could do. So I love my new amp. Thanks to Sam Ash for making me a happy guitarist.

I was looking for a fake book I wanted replaced. They didnt have it but ordered it for me and it showed up on my doorstep like 3 days later.I also went in there one time to get my bass electric bass looked at because it was making a crackling sound. The repair guy took something on it apart, put it properly back together. When I asked him what I owed, he said it just needed a part tightened; not to worry about it. I thanked him and slipped him a $5 and told him, well let me buy you a drink.Ive only had good experiences at Sam Ashe.

Went to Sam Ash to buy a $1600 used guitar. Couldn’t even try it out because of beginner guitarists cranking Nirvana almost as loud as the amps would go. No one at Samash asked them to turn down. This continued for well over an hour.

Very clean and friendly atmosphere. The management team seems very industrious and work hard to keep the place up to standard. Seems like a great place.

I took my acoustic guitar to the Phoenix Sam Ash store to have the strings replaced. I also have an electric guitar that I had purchased used from a private party. It wasn’t quite right so I spoke with Michael Strenn, Senior Department Manager about the issues I was having with it. I returned home and received a call that my acoustic guitar was ready to pick up! Wow! I didn’t expect such a quick turnaround! Before leaving the house to pick up my acoustic guitar I tried to make the adjustments on my electric guitar that Michael had suggested. I was running out of time to get back to the store before they closed. Long story, short I asked Michael if I was making the adjustments correctly and he confirmed that I was. I had the electric guitar with me so he took a few minutes to look at what I was doing. He said I nearly had it and he made a few professional tweaks to finish my job. My Fender Squire sounds great now! Thanks Michael for taking a few minutes to help me out and explaining what you were doing and why. My guitar sounds great and I learned a lot about it. You have a customer for life.

I just bought a Yamaha E w310 arranger keyboard from this store about 3 days ago, and I am very satisfied with it! We made a pretty good bargain in which they accepted my trade of two vintage Yamaha boards and a Casio digital board and some cash. Sam Ash Music store employees have always been very easy to purchase instruments and accessories from, and I have never had any trouble whatsoever finding the perfect deal to suit my budget and my musical needs.Thank you once again Sam Ash Music, you have a lifetime customer in me.

I always love going in there the people who work there are pretty cool. they get a little backed up sometimes so you got to kind of be patient with them. I went in yesterday and got a pair of drumsticks the guy back in percussion was really good about it pretty knowledgeable.

Sat on my guitar order for 7 days with no update and then cancelled for out of stock. It was in stock when I ordered it.

My Son started taking acoustic guitar in school this year and my Husband bought him a guitar, amp, case, strap, tuner and picks from Sam Ash. This is the best music store in Phoenix! The staff are so helpful and patient and the prices are the best in Arizona. We also went to their Customer Appreciation Day and it was fantastic!! We had free hotdogs, soda and chips and my Husband and Son won two raffle prizes!! A Hartke Amp and a Computer program for recording.. thank you Sam Ash for everything! I fully recommend this store for all your music needs!

Inventory for ukuleles and accessories are almost non existent. Poor string selection and restringing supplies such as nut lubricant was out.

They were helpful and had the item I needed when Guitar Center didnt. They dont jack up prices and have a great selection. I called on the way and they had one mixer left that I needed in an emergency and it was waiting when I got there at the price I expected.

I have been to the other music stores in town (GC) and my experience was horrible and made me want to go back to shopping online. I stopped by Sam Ash and had a great experience. Nick was extremely helpful and willing to walk me through my needs. I have purchased a PA Sound System and multiple microphones since. I have now been there many times in the last couple months and Nick has maintained his professionalism and friendly attitude. They care at this Sam Ash and desire to help you get what you are looking for vs just selling you something expensive that you don’t need or making you feel stupid. You can trust that you’ll have a good experience here and they have a great selection. Very happy with my experience here.

I been here a few times and never disappointed, Im usually just standing shopping around and they quick acknowledge me and ask if I need help,unlike GC I feel like my experience here is always the best and they always have what I need if not they order it for me and do their best to find my musical needs.

I recently purchased a Bass and I needed a nice comfy leather strap for my Bass. I went to Sam Ash and they had exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to see how the strap felt with a bass on and the guys at Sam Ash were more than happy to help. They brought down a bass, I hooked on the Strap and it felt like heaven! Very happy with my visit!

The gentleman that helped my daughter and I was so patient and kind he treated us like he cared about what we needed. My daughter is a novice guitar player and he was so encouraging and knowledgeable. He was tall, black haired man in the guitar section. We will definitely be back!

Great music store in Glendale. Large guitar selections all out to display and play. Met my new friend Sam and he helped me find my perfect instrument. Other folks there helped too, played 6 or 8 different types and sounds. Sam suggested my Joe Pass Emperor Ii Pro and i love it. These folks love what they do and it shows. Fun times!

The salesman was absolutely the best,he helped us pick out everything we wanted. He had a lot of patience with us, and we had to order the guitar and if we didnt like it which actually happened we could get a different one 😂 which we did. Then about a week after we got the guitar he called to make sure we were happy with everything which was surprising, but that shows whatgood customer service is all about.

We stopped by to pick up a violin for my daughter because they had great reviews and a good selection.They did not disappoint! Upon entering the store, it was easy to find the violin section. We were immediately greeted by a wonderful clerk who asked what we were looking for and then fit my daughter. This was the first pa sub I have ever bought. It was great to have someone demo the different subs. After hearing the all I had to go with the top of the line electro voice ETX18. It was a complete game changer for me for the long run. I’ll be using this speaker for both indoor and outdoor use. I’ve only had it for a few days now and used it as an outdoor setup and I was not disappointed on how far the bass carries its insane.

I’ve been to Sam ash only twice in the last year, but I had great experiences both times. The most recent time I bought a Taylor guitar. We were helped by a man named Sam, and had a great experience. We stayed there for over an hour trying out different guitars and making our decision. He was very helpful and patient with us, and was not pressuring us to buy at all. Very happy with the customer service.

This was my first time there. My wife had previously been there to purchase a power supply for my keyboard. And she was excited to take me there to look around. All we needed was a headphone jack adapter which was easy to find. I thought the store would of been bigger from the way my wife described it. But the store was awesome except when we found what we had came there for and wanted to pay. No one was available to help us. There was an employee on the phone and she seemed to take forever helping whoever was on the phone. So we looked around to see who could help us but everone who was there seemed to ignore us as if we werent there. So finally we went back to the sevrice counter and waited a little longer for the employee to finish on the phone and she apologized for our wait and helped cash us out. That was the only issue lack of customer service. But overall I will ve going back to purchase another keyboard as to mine is older and I want something a little better.

Just bought my first guitar at 55 years old and love it music has now changed for me I have also bought others here for my sons 1 whom went on and traveled the globe until Covid hit and paused the industry. Big Thank you to Sam Fitch for his words of wisdom and guidance. Peace

I asked to see multiple instruments and never felt like the staff was getting antsy or annoyed which is nice because guitar center legit does not care. Bought a nice little ukulele, works great! Prices here are reasonable and it even smelled nice. Shout out to Michael for helping me find all of the accessories I needed for my first uke.

I took in a guitar I had found to see if it was worth restoring/restring. The gentleman checked it over thoroughly and decided it just wasnt worth fixing so I ended up buying a new guitar from him and turning the one I found into wall art. I had a wonderful experience and will be back in the future.

I like it here, but no one ever came to help us and we were planning on buying 2 guitars and an ukulele. They were helping others but not us. When we gave up and left they were not busy at all so not sure why they didnt try and help us. Hmmm. Ended up buying one guitar at the Guitar Store. I liked an ukulele at Sam Ash so Ill give them one more try.
