This Menards store is huge! Everything for everybody is stocked and ready to go. We have purchased major home improvement items, special order windows and doors, garden plants and Little Debbie snack cakes… most things qualify for an 11% in store rebate too.

Ordered piece online. Received notice it arrived for pick up 2 weeks later, went to pick up and staff was inattentive and lazy except for one kid. They could not find after 45 minutes there they told me it wasnt there. Thats it no resolve. I notified Menards via online, they reordered I checked back in 3 weeks as I didnt hear back. They said it was in. I pick it up,n and same bored, inattentive woman working there, gives it to me broken. I went back to store to return and they tell me that I can have a store credit. Seriously? Go to Home Depot, they know how to run a business much better than this.

Always looking forward to shopping there. Good deals. Good help. Clean and well stocked.

Full disclosure, I usually go to the Home Depot that is nearby but for this particular project I had to put it out to bid. The staff here was very thorough and professional and got me a great deal. I did not think the turn time was terrible even though it was a special order. Also - Got to love the 11% rebate!

Went in for a ceiling fan bracket and got help from the individual that worked in the lighting department, he was most helpful and found what we were looking for.

Had all of the odd things that I was looking for. People that I ask for help, helped me. It was wonderful!

I can always find a good deal and a helpful sales floor employee. I love when they are running the 11% rebate deal. Menards is definitely my favorite home improvement store!

Ordered a dryer and they didn’t ask me what I needed. Got the wrong one. Had it exchanged. Paid for set up and delivery. The guy didn’t set it up and it didn’t work right. They told me they don’t set up gas dryers because of liability. I paid to have it installed. Why didn’t they tell me that? Have to go through a 3rd party and pay more money. I had no problems with the washer I bought 2 months ago.

Gotta love Menards. Midwest based and professionally ran. I never go to home Depot or Lowes is there products are so much more expensive and nowhere near the level of customer service Menards.

TERRIBLE Customer service. I was in the aisle for about 20 minutes. Many employees walked passed me and saw me, but no one came to assist me or ask me if I needed help. Then at checkout, it took about 5 minutes for someone to come and help me load my order in the car even though it was slow and managers and supervisors were right there, doing nothing. Finally a teen employee came out and push the cart outside. He was reckless and crash the cart outside, which my materials fell onto the concrete. It was dark, so I couldn’t see if the materials were damaged. Then it took him several minutes to pick up the materials up and put them in my car. Absolute WORST customer experience ever.

Wanted some wood to build a face frame on a built in bookshelf, they had all of the wood we needed indoors nicely labeled.Got what we needed then just walked around looking at materials for future projects. 2 stories worth of ideas.

Menards always is a complete mess in their organization. They have a whole section for grills and grill accessories but if I want a grill lighter I have to go upstairs to find it. I found the furnace filters but I couldnt find a thermostat. I asked an employee they didnt even know where the thermostats were at. Over and over and over again I complain to them about the organization of their stores and they never fix anything. Nothing can be found at Menards and the people that work there dont seem to know what theyre doing. When I needed a grill lighter I left the coal that I was going to buy at the cashier and I walked out and I went to some little tiny Ace hardware I was met within seconds by someone that knew exactly what I was looking for they were happy to help me and they knew what they were doing. AND GUESS THE GRILL LIGHTERS WERE RIGHT NEXT TO THE GRILLS AND THE COAL!!!! I NEVER FIND THAT IN ANY MENARDS I GO TO. Itll be a miracle if anyone at Menards even reads this review and does anything.

Do not recommend. They make employees do things they’re not qualified for to save money. Shop and work else were.

Great selection, great service, really good prices. I needed a door and neither Lowe’s, nor Home Depot have them in stock and similar door to order from Home Depot is over $300.

Today I needed some small, odd items. I asked three different employees about three different items. Each employee either showed me exactly where the items were or gave me an exact isle number with directions on how to easily find the isle. The directions came from a person working behind a counter in an unrelated area of the store where they could not leave. All were very happy to assist me today. The store was clean and well kept. Plenty of registers open so there was no waiting or grouping up at the checkout. Cashiers were friendly and quick. All in all a good and easy day at Menards.

My first time here, prices are very reasonable and a great variety

I normally shop at Home Depot but this Menards location is more convenient on my route to the workshop. Overall, if it’s building materials this store is well stocked and everything stays dry in the lumber shed. If you’re gonna pay 3x for lumber right now, why buy from warped rain soaked product from Home Depot?

Went to find a few items. One being a standard 6ft white folding table. I had to stop to ask an employee where I could find them he seemed very bothered to answer my question and quickly pointed me to the west end of the store. Once over there I still couldnt find them so stopped to ask a second employee. They too seemed disinterested in pointing me in the right direction and told me it was on the second floor and to walk straight back to the East end off the escalators. Scoured the area again, still no folding tables. At that point I called it quits and decided to check out. Still dont know where the darn folding tables are 🤷‍♀️. Employees were no help and werent friendly.

Good prices there could be more flatbeds to use upstairs I had to search the whole building before I found one and didnt see many people using them.

I rented a truck—the $18.99 for 75 minutes deal—& was happy with the minimal additional fees. Only $28 for a short trip & bringing it back on time. The store itself is somewhat confusing, but the staff are usually very helpful.

NEVER BUY A MATTRESS HERE. Here is what I will say, Menards did help facilitate a return, but required it to be store credit, they will say they fulfilled their responsibility... but it is my opinion that their policy is unfair, and their unwillingness to make any exceptions was generally just not kind.I ordered a mattress from Menards on May 14th, the shipping took longer than expected and I didnt receive it (store pickup) until June 18th (I picked it up immediately after getting notification it had arrived at the store). The mattress deteriorated quickly, I reached out to Menards to determine my options for warranty/return. Someone over email was helpful in letting me know I could return it and gave me instructions to do so. That was all good.Since I picked up the mattress on the 18th of June I thought I was within their 90-day return policy (its early September now) However when I got to the store, I was told that the return policy doesnt start from when you pick up the mattress from the store, it starts when you order it...so I could only receive store credit, I was not going to receive the money back on my card.While I am thankful for the return (even if store credit), I am endlessly frustrated that the policy does not take into consideration the fact that I didnt receive the mattress for a month after ordering it..so the delayed shipping lost me 1/3rd of the return timeframe - which in the end meant the difference between getting sure credit vs. getting my actual money back so I could buy a real mattress elsewhere.All of this really just means it only took 60 days for their top tier best mattress to deteriorate so much that it had over 1.5 depression going down the middle of the mattress.So in my opinion, dont but a mattress from Menards, not even the best top tier one, and if you order anything from Menards, know that the return policy applies only to the order date, no matter how long they take to get it to you. Menards refused to make any exceptions, or accommodations, stating that they couldnt. I just wish customer service and understanding was a real priority.

When i first started coming to this store id have given it 4 stars that was 4 years ago. Now the only reason i give 1star is you cant do a review without . This store has gone down hill at a steady rate.in the last 3 months Ive left without buying anything theydidnt have what i was looking for and basically been called a thief for trying to return a couple of low dollar items that i just didnt use without a receipt. When i told the woman at the service desk that i wouldnt be back she said thank you.

After the president and Governor lifted The Mask mandate I went in there today with no mask and 4 employees harassed me. I have shopped there for a long time and well never go back. Home Depot is so much better

I had an encounter with a not so polite cashier (an older lady at register 4).First, apparently, I hadnt placed my cart precisely in the cart zone. She reprimanded me for that. Then, as I tried to get a garden stake that was stuck in the cart, UNstuck for her, she sternly told me to let go!!! I did.When the band-aids dropped to the bottom of the card, I attempted to reach for them, and she had a fit! I kindly asked her if she liked being in customer service, to which she replied, No, not really.I then, proceeded to back out of her lane to go to another cashier, and she wouldnt let go of my cart!! I had to apply some strength to get her to release it! I was thoroughly appalled.I went straight to Joys register. She lives up to her name 100%.I reported her to the MOD, and hopefully, she will be reprimanded, herself.

Not crazy about shopping for lumber here and their store brand of tools isnt as good as Home Depots or Lowes but the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and will point you in the right direction every time. Best of all, the store is really clean which must have a deterrent effect on the dog owners who have fearlessly taken over Home Depot.

Staff is helpful and courteous always. I primarily use the special order desk and yard.

DO NOT SHOP HERE !!!! DO NOT WORK HERE!! Horrible customer service. And they do not properly train employees. A few weeks ago an employee died operating a forklift. James Lee Stanback. (19) ‼️ He had only been working there for 1 month. He was not properly trained yet they made him operate it anyways. No spotter. Nothing. Wood fell on top of him there was nobody there to help him. They didn’t even call his mother for 4 hours after.!! & kept the store open and made employees work like nothing happened. I feel they were trying to cover up his death instead of help him because 4 hours is unacceptable. They could’ve and should’ve saved him!!! Imagine your son, brother, bf goes to WORK. and doesn’t make it home. The store didn’t close. They Didn’t care. Laughed at his family. Flicked them off. And THIS ISNT THE FIRST TIME. Over the few weeks old employees have said they have never properly trained anyone for the forklift. And someone else died in MN MENARDS while operating the forklift. That is a very dangerous job. & OSHA and Menards have yet to improve the training maybe now they understand ts is a very dangerous job and this shouldn’t have happened. He shouldn’t be gone. This one stop all home improvements shopping place is all that you need in your neighborhood. I’ve been here many times to get to our hardware and electric household needs. What I’ve loved about this store is their size, various items they offer and their ever stock full inventory.The top floor is literally a housing community of different homes with the different kitchen styles at display. I recently had a chance to take my father in law to this store while I got there to get some tools. Since he had come from India and to this store for the first time, was instantly impressed with this store, I took him around this store.He watched the most of the section in the store with bewilderment. His remark, “Inga ellaame kedaikum polarike” which typically translates to “Looks like you get everything at this place”. True isn’t it?

Me and my husband has been going to this Menards for years and loves it we go and spend hours in the store. The staff is so nice and helpful! This will always be are first choice to go to! I would recommend to anyone to go to this Menards 😄

Why do I always find the chocolate isle!?

Renting a vehicle process was unorganized & lengthy at both check in and check out.No one knew how to handle the process and none of the computers seemed to work.

Customer service is impossible. Every employee tells you a different thing and sends you in a different direction. Its just as bad as the one in St. Paul, time to find an entirely different hardware store cause Menards isnt worth annnny of trouble.

I tried the app to order some 2x4s I needed. It worked great. Drove directly to the entrance and showed Lee the ticket on my phone screen. Entered and was able to go grab what I needed without ever going in the store. I really like this option! The Search engine needs to be updated on both the app and website. Very clunky.

Store has a lot to offer, just to busy sometimes which makes hard to get shopping done, or longer lines or ti.e to check out than it should be.Could improve by having more lanes open when store is full with customers trying to pay and leave

Menards managed to botch yet again our delivery. We tried to call to speak to a Manager... not a single person answers the phone at any department and Ive now tried twice and waited over 5min of endless ringing after their recorded greeting where they say they value their customer..Value their customer? What a joke.

Not sure where to start.I my ordered kitchen cabinets 3 months ago and they are still not here.The first time in April i ordered, the clerk gave me a receipt and said cabinets will be here may 3, i showed up may 8, no cabinets .They saw my receipt but couldint find my order with the vendor.The clerk forgot to place the order.I ordered again on may 13th, they said june 16 .june 18th cabibets still not here.When it comes to soecial order menards is not the store for competency.

In my experience this store is always well-stocked. The aisles and bathrooms are clean. The staff are visible, available, helpful, and kind if you so desire the assistance. I enjoy coming to this Menards because I know my experience is always consistent.

My wife and I continued our quest yesterday for materials and guidance in our complete bathroom remodeling task. Big Box stores can be frustrating with client service people who dont know what they are doing... but we found Sherrie in wallcoverings who was smart, helpful, patient and outstanding! Wereally appreciate her service and care... which makes her a treasure that is rare!

I have loved shopping at menards until I went to the one in golden valley and had to deal with the manager Cody.. I was looking for a matrix blk and decker drill that showed eden prairie had 3 I went their and they didn’t have any, manager said he would look and call me back he never did, no big deal they were busy, I understand. So I went to golden valley noticing they had 4 online, I get there and the price is 69.99 and EP had it for 64.99.. at this point I was driving all over and very annoyed with the lack of organizing with menards. I got to the register and asked for the manager about the price. I explained this situation to Cody very politely, he said well unfortunately that’s not my problem and I’m “going to stand my ground on my price” ... I explained I’ve worked in retail before and for $5 to keep a customer happy is worth more than you “standing your ground”. This was rude, childish behavior by a obviously young manager.. very disappointing in menards. I then drove all the way to EP to get my damn $5 bucks..

Went to menards to pick up a few items. I was not sure where the items were located so I asked 2 separate employees where I would find the items I was looking for. They were both very nice and also very helpful. I spent over 35 mins in store at which time another employee tells at me to put a mask on. I politely told him I have a medical condition and couldnt put on mask.he started telling me oh so you think your better than everyone else. And I was a nurse and I know that there is no medical condition that keeps you from wearing a mask. He went on to tell me he would make sure no one helps me and that I am a liar. I flagged a manager down and informed him of what happene (he was not wearing a mask) and he ignored my complaint about his employee and told me I would have to leave the store. He didnt have a mask on when he told me this. This was by far the worst treatment I have ever experienced. I was in store for 35 mins and spoke with 2 other employees who said nothing about a mask. This man should not be working for you and he will continue to be an issue for you. Shaved head, white, 55. Probably want to have someone at the doors enforcing the masks as opposed to allowing a person to shop for 30 mins only to be harrassed by an employee.

If they dont have it, you dont need it.... not actually true, but great store, friendly staff, and usually have the thing youre looking for. Its a busy location for contractors in Minneapolis so sometimes they sell out of certain things but usually are pretty good about keeping things in stock

I ordered a bag of dog food back on August 26 for pickup but had to get from a different store. I assumed they’d just cancel the order after 3 days like every other retailer in existence. Instead I checked today, and they falsely listed the bag as picked up in full on November 2nd and kept the money.Edit:January was able to get a merchandise credit from customer service but not actual refund.

Getting reliable help can be a challenge. I think most of the younger employees are the ones that dont ask if they can help you. They tend to look away and keep walking. Frustrating. And sorry to say you garden area is not very good.

You can buy everything from milk to lawn furniture here, all at reasonable prices.

The manager on duty was the rudest man Ive ever had an experience with and the cashier disrespected me telling me the price was wrong on a rug I bought, which was discounted to 40.$ and charged me 90 $ I told numerous times it had flaws the the manager ripped the rug out of my cart and stared at me like I was mental retarded. The date is 4/18/2021 4:15. I took the rug because she charged me, I believe I should be reimbursed 50:$ for the rug And 100.$ for those 2 employees embarrassing and humiliation.. 2 story menards. Departments are split between 2 levels.

Amazing hardware store with enormous stock, friendly and knowledgable staff.

Looked for bug & tar remover and found multiple options in both painting and automotive sections. Good prices. Quick, contact-free checkout. The only thing we didnt find (but we didnt ask either) on this quick in-and-out trip was rolls of blue shop towels. (They may have had them, but not in the area we expected, so we didnt spot them.)

Found things I wanted and the staff were helpful in accomplishing that.

You cant go wrong with Menards. Great selection, multiple choices of items which allows you to choose what you need. I spend a ton of money at Menards because theyve earned my commercial and personal business!!!

I in joy going to Menards they now they now have a computer that makes a duplicate the key you want made no waiting for someone to take the time to help...and you can pay for it at the location with a credit card..I was very imprest.

Do not shop here! They do not care about their workers at all.
