Went on a Saturday. Their only open for three hours. Why even bother. Anyway there were two guys working. One guy was busy and the other was at the counter to the far left of the store front. ((I got the guy at the far left)) Wow what a piece of work this guy was. Rude, pushy, angry at something, and when I asked him to look for something I needed, it was like he was completely being bothered. Then I explained I had two items for him to look up. The guy lost it and was completely rude in his mannerisms and demeanor. I stopped him and said, excuse me, is there a problem helping me? He mumbled something. Finally when I got the pieces I actually needed this guy over charged my credit card! I showed him the problem and he fussed so long at my return credit that it actually took 30 minuets to get it right, I thought. Anyway, I left just shaking my head, and oh, by the way, the other guy there, never ONCE came over to help or see what all the fuss was about. he seem to just care less. Then today 5-28-2013 Im balancing my check book. I see the initial charge and a credit return of 8.74. Good Im glad I got it. However, I then see on my statement an unauthorized charge of 9.38.This place used to be good but with this service I will stay away!!!!
Professional audio and video equipment. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. Thus store us primarily for industry professionals but if youre a hobbyist with a decent amount of knowledge theyll help you to out a bit. They have items in stock that are very hard to find locally, if available at all. Good used section too!
Great store. They have all sorts of parts and tools that are hard to find anywhere, even on the web. And when I needed an IC they dont sell, they helped me find someone that did. They leave you alone when youre in the store unless you ask for help. They are what Radio Shack was decades ago. I do wish they had longer hours, though. Esp on Saturday.
Worst customer service. Every single time I call or go in the workers are too busy to help and when they do they are rude. They act like they know everything and no one in this world is as smart as they are. I am astonished by the level of ignorance they display. This store has a good selection for your audio and visual needs as well as hard to find items but they DO NOT care to assist you. In one word LAZY. In two words SELF RIGHTEOUS. To the owners of this store, get a clue your employees more then lack customer service. Whether the purchase is small or big a customer is a customer and your employees make it hard for this ex customer to spread the word your amazing inventory. Guess Ill spend my money at amazon.....
Great service and great selection. This should be the only place you are buying HDMI cables from. Massive selection and great prices, especially compared to the big box stores.
Very helpful staff. Carl is the best. You can not go wrong shopping here. I have for years and always get what I need.
I walked through the door and it had the same pleasant smell of electronic surplus that I remember from the original Acme Electronic Surplus on Hennepin Avenue in the 1960s.
If you have a part, electronic thing, server rack, or cables that you cant find a local place to get it, then try AEI. I always find what I need and for a great price too.
Excellent knowledgeable staff! Great people to work with!
Great local alternative if you need the part fast.
They are great people. A real throw-back.
Open to the general public but geared for the professional electronic, electrical or AV installers and engineering folks.
One of the few retail walk in places for electronic components.
Awful customer service, very confrontational over the phone when it just wasnt called for. Ill be finding what I need somewhere else.
Electronics circuitry nerd heaven.
A store like no where else, for electronic enthusiast or professional
