Sweet Potatoe pie, Pecan pie, banana pudding, lady fingers, lemon bar, chocolate cake pecan topped, strawberry cheesecake, strawberry lemonade, tropical punch kool-aide is what we ordered to celebrate my daughters birthday. Enjoyed every bite.

I gave it 2 stars because you do eat with your eyes first and the food looks beautiful! However, there should be someone to taste it before serving to the public. It was so bland! Sorry.

Drove from Winterville to Goldsboro for get some good food. The entree was delicious (spare ribs) but the bananas in the banana pudding was black/dark and slimy on the inside. When my husband took it back to change desserts, they wouldnt take it back, exchange for another dessert, nor provide refund. I really felt that was so inconsiderate as I only ate one fork full and saw that. The response, its nothing wrong with the bananas, but they are just dark. Really?? I was really disappointed, but I prefer not to eat black bananas in my banana pudding. Heading back to Winterville 😕

The Bread of Heaven is a locals stop. Wayne County residence folks love all you can eat at good prices. The best deal remains the lunch hour. They are noted for both comfort and baked goods.The serving bar was well stocked and fresh. I tastes a little bit of everything before returning for items that tasted like more.Had to find some to pre-pay for our meal. Once settled in, we had a good experience here. This is a value experience: good food at reasonable prices.

Buffet style-Home cooking, delicious desserts on the buffet bar as well. Clean! This place is huge! There is all kind of sections for small groups to extra large. They also cater outside of the restaurant large groups. They have bakery items at the front. They do take out but you may not get in and out quick because the line is usually the same as the people paying for the buffet bar. Parking lot is shared with other businesses so there is plenty of parking. Food is delicious!

My mom and I really enjoyed dinner here this past weekend. My mom loved the fried fish and potato salad. As a vegetarian, I was pleased with the vegetarian options. We spent $27 bucks on 2 buffets and 2 slices of cake. Not bad at all.

Keep it simple philosophy... Disposable plates and eating utensils, good home cooked food, homemade cakes... this is how I envision a country buffet! Add the attentive servers, reasonably priced meal, and sweet tea...I will definitely be back, and will bring others with me! Ive only got one suggestion... corn bread is always good to have, but sliced bread would be awesome too! Need something to sop up the sauces and gravy!! 😃😃

Went there today thinking I was going to be amazed!!! Well thought wrong no spice in my spice cake!!! The cookie I bought for my daughter was the worst cookie dough with m&Ms stuck in it!!!! If this is a bakery Then I must be the president!! How do they stay open I am so sorry for these comments but you really need to rethink your products!!!!!

Over all I was not very impressed with this establishment. I took my sister here for dinner we arrived at 3:00pm and it was not very busy so we thought we would have a nice dinner. We went in and I payed for our buffets which come to $24.30 which would not have been too bad for a buffet if the total experience had been good but sadly in my opinion it was not. After we sat down I noticed the building was in need of quite a bit of maintenance. There were many water stained ceiling tiles and one that was completely missing leaving a huge gaping hole where it should be and a few other things that needed to be fixed but I wont nitpick to much. I found it sad that all the eating utensils including your cup and plate were all disposable which having worked in food service management for over 20 years I understand how it would save on labor hours by cutting out the need for a dishwasher but not very green or good for the environment due to the mass amount of trash this has to create. The food was a hit and miss experience. The fried chicken and BBQ chicken was very good so was the smoked sausage. The liver and gravy was very bland. All the hot veggies on the buffett were ass from cans so there no real way to mess them us though they were lacking any kind of seasoning so they were quite bland as well. The potato salad was yellow like mustard potato salad but had no taste of mustard to it, it was very very sweet like they had added quite a bit of sugar to it and the pinto beans on the hot bar were very sweet as well. I thought it was funny that the desserts were not to bad but the potato salad was sweeter then the desserts were. The building had a unusual smell to it that got stronger around the buffet tables. I could not figure out were it was coming from maybe the hot bars/steam tables needing water or if they were just old or if it were just the building itself. I left a tip against my better judgement being we only saw our waiter twice the whole hour and a half we were there. I really cant say I would recommend Bread of Heaven buffet to anyone and I dont see myself going back.

For a place to get a good home style meal, I rate Bread of Heaven at 5 stars. Their staff is freindly and the buffet is reasonably priced. You are immersed in an awesome atmosphere that is suitable for a relaxing workplace lunch or a memoriable family dinner. The food ranges from a salad bar, fried chicken and greens, all the way to spaghetti and meatballs. I really enjoyed their mac and cheese. If you saved room for dessert, their is a wide range of baked goods for you to choose from. If you havent been there already, I would try it out at least once.

The FOOD IS EXCELLENT. Theres lots of items for the price. The staff is friendly to customers and each other. Its in a nice location and theres a lot of space.

Ive been looking for good southern cuisine for sometime and Ive driven past bread of heaven so many times assuming it was just a bakery lol. Well my husband told me to check it out and Im so glad i did. Everything i tasted exploded with flavor and made my taste buds dance with delight. They can count on seeing me weekly if not daily! Lol

This place was AWESOME!!!!! The flavor took me back to Birmingham, Alabama and back into my grandma Muddear’s kitchen on a Sunday afternoon after church!!!! I will make this “must-visit” spot every time I have to visit Goldsboro.

Five Stars - This bakery has fantastic cakes and cookies and many other yummy treats, but my favorite is their lunch plates! Down home southern good cookin. Very affordable lunch plates with your choice of meat and two or three vegetables and they pile it on high! I always have enough for dinner too. This bakery is a great addition to Goldsboro, NC.

My fiancé and I had dinner here and the food was absolutely delicious with a cozy atmosphere. It’s buffet style cooking with carry out orders and catering...I only rated it a four because there’s always room for improvement.

Oh my godness! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is extremely friendly and unique. Plasticware and foam plates and plastick cups are different but the total package makes you not even care. Southern style cooking that will MAKE your GREEDY take over. Be mindful if you have a drive to get home like me. 3hrs driving after eating there is almost impossible. Delicious, tasty, finger licking, mouth watering delights!
