I have two incidents of accidentally buying expired food from here. I managed to return the first one, but can’t say the same with the second one. I already started eating my Little Debbie Donuts and so far I’m still doing good lol
Redhead cashier named Audrey is a queen! They always have the stuff I need for a quick shopping trip. Audrey deserves raise!
Its okay to get forgotten groceries or to grab fruit. Otherwise, its a very pricey, dirty store.
Love the friendly staff. Always a smile.
Love the people maybe the ducks even more
Store has a decent selection of a variety of products, but the store is a little dirty. I noticed some mold in the drink fridges and some product has clearly been on the shelf for awhile. Staff always seem bored, but are happy to help if needed. compared to a supermarket, prices are very high. Not really a grocery store, just a dirty convenience store.
Tailored nicely for the IV community. Family owned n operated. A handsome n friendly set of siblings; Lee, Theresa, and Ron carry on what their father started back in the day. Well maintained, produce is fresh, clerks are generally friendly and approachable. Every now n then a clerk will have a snotty attitude but those clerks dont last there long. The store covers your basic essentials along with the concern for snacks n nibbles since 90% of their clientele are college students. Simple, clean, n friendly and allow cash back up to 100$. I couldnt be happier with MY store.
This store is alright. Some stuff is a bit expensive in my opinion. They have fresh food which looks just ok. It is easy to walk here from anywhere in Isla Vista. This makes it the most convenient spot to shop if you live in IV and don’t want to drive. There is a great selection so I’d recommend shopping here.
Its expensive, and lacks variety. If you have time, go to camino real marketplace (1h trip back and forth) to get a better deal.
Great market with a great selection of items, food, beer etc.Im willing to bet that this store has sold more beer in a year than most places do in a lifetime
The girls at the check-out counters are generally pleasant and know their job. Assistant Rob, there in the mornings, is willing to put himself out to be helpful. Beware of the manager, though, who doesnt like small challenges when hes at the register - such as giving him a dollar in change to count instead of a bill; hes on a leash but has a nasty bark. The produce is not very good, and healthy foods are not a feature, but there is a nice selection of common essentials. Most items are pricey, but the Market is fairly clean. Overall quality (and therefore business) could easily be improved, but probably wont be.
No parking, but nice little store!
Nice store very clean organized and well stocked. Prices a little on the high side. Aside f tom that this store is great
I love this store with its small town feel and they have recycling for California CRV in back
IV needs another market to balance out this monopoly, its just too costly to use regularly. Service is hit or miss
Has a large variety of items to eat, even has fresh vegetables. They also make sandwiches and potato salad that is to die for.
Convenient, but small choice of fresh food.
Good place to pick up anything you missed at Costco or the grocery store
Not as cheap as the Albertsons, but way more convenient. No complaints.
Solid option if you live in IV and are lazy! Small, so, somewhat limited, of course.
Only really good if you dont want to drive/bike all the way to Albertsons or Vons. Expensive, but probably just so they can keep the lights on.
Cashier broke my real ID because its out of state, genrally over priced, but good deals on beer
Good when you quickly need something and you are too lazy to go elsewhere, but very overpriced.
Slightly expensive. But they’ve got most of the basics at a short distance from campus and IV.
This place is stocked well with items but way over priced. Ive never seen orange juice be $6 for a half gallon carton!
Good place for a quick stop
Convenient but pricey
Ok store, wouldn’t return
Only a few minutes by bike from campus and it had a TON of food. High prices, but worth it when you have to run out for groceries between classes.
More of a liquor store than a market and prices are marked up by 80% -_-
Great staff and candy bin
Small supermarket but where I found most of what I needed.
Good market
Just like really bad all around
A bit more expensive, but next to home
It is nice
Its close to home
Very close to UCSB, the price is also very cheap!
Good place to find what Im looking for
Frick in the IV market
