Brent is my go-to. Excellent salesman and not pushy. Very informed on the vehicles and helped me choose my dream car. Brent was also patient with my son and made the buying experience even better. Thank you Brent!
I got my vehicles oil changed and tires rotated. The work was done quickly and properly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Excellent experience!
I currently drive an Outback and a Forester that I purchased here. The sales and finance people were able to meet me at a fair price and were able to find me a great interest rate. My buying experience here was very good and never had a sale shoved down my throat like at other dealerships. The service guys have also been respectful, polite, and competent at servicing my vehicles. I warmly recommend this dealership!
After driving all the way to Grand Forks from Minneapolis to buy a particular vehicle and then getting yanked around by that dealership, I decided to go pay a visit to the folks at Grand Forks Subaru. I was in town anyway, after all.I was almost immediately greeted by Justin at the door and instantly felt comfortable and at ease, which was very welcomed after having a pretty awful experience at the other place. Justin was personable, and his customer service was honestly some of the best I’ve gotten in this sort of setting. I never once felt like I was being pressured into anything and I 100% felt like he had my best interests in mind while we were taking a peek at the shops current stock of cars.Needless to say after patiently walking me through the whole process, and going over some financing options with me, Justin helped me find a vehicle that would not only suit my needs but would get me to wherever I need to be safely.I can with confidence say that I absolutely love my new car and I cannot appreciate the people at Grand Forks Subaru enough! They turned what could have been a super awful day into an extremely positive experience.Thank you Justin for helping me out and for treating me with not only compassion and kindness, but like I am more than just a sale!I will definitely be recommending this place to not only friends, but family that are still in the area!
My husband and I went here as I need to replace my car. We arrived after they were closed which was fine with me as I can look around without bothering someone. Unfortunately this place puts almost nothing with information on their cars. No price, car basic info, etc. I found a CRV I loved but since there was no pricing listed, I had no idea how much it cost or if the MPG was I needed. Because of this, I probably wont go back. I dont like having to rely on the sales rep for information.
Got some great information from a parts man that saved me a bundle of money. Always helpful people to deal with.
Very polite and easy to deal with. Made for a VERY easy and comfortable purchase I definitely will be coming back to this dealership in the future. I couldnt have asked for better service. Thank you :)
Stopped by quick on our way for a trip and our A/C wasnt working, Mark was absolutely awesome helping us out and they checked it out and got us on our way quick and with fantastic service!! Again, thank you so much Mark!
I recently stopped here on a recent visit to North Dakota. During my travels, I experienced an issue with my wipers. I made an unscheduled visit and was greeted promptly. After explaining my problem, they took care of me in a quick manner and I was back on the road. Thank you for the great service!
I will never, ever go to or direct someone to this place of business. I and my family member have been treated w disrespect and lied to about vehicle repair at gf subaru. Paid money up front for repairs and Mr. Justin in charge of service woul not start repairs even ta lot of money was paid pre viously for repairs.. Lied to my family member and myself.. Customer service was 0, to us.. In fact he, Justin told me all customers had to pay up front for repairs, which was and is a lie. Total description against my family member.. Nothing good to say about the managers and owner their.
My wife and I initially were looking for a good used vehicle that was not a Subaru. Upon inquiring about said car, Steve ended up writing back to me and telling me about Subarus. I have never driven one or known anyone that had one. That same day, we test drove a Forrester and Outback. We ended up purchasing a 2020 Outback and love it!! Steve was amazing in helping us with this deal and find the right car for our family! I will definitely refer customers to you as well as be back for cars in the future at GF Subaru!! Great Job!!
Nate was amazing to work with when buying our new vehicle. Best experience I’ve had buying a vehicle!
Got my car serviced here and the customer service was great. Will definitely come back.
Service department here is shady and is likely scamming its customers. I took my car here to get it inspected and they found a ton of problems including my breaks needed replacing and that a caliper was sticking. I then took it to my cousin who is a mechanic in Fargo and he said that I still had about 10,000 miles left on my breaks and that none of the calipers were sticking at all. Please, do yourself a favor and take your vehicle elsewhere if you want honest service people.
I had some work done on my Outlook oil change and a recall. The work was done fast and i got my car back in 3 hours.
I have purchased my last three cars from these cats!! ALWAYS accommodating, ALWAYS professional, ALWAYS kind!!
Don’t waste your time there. Last summer I was looking for a work car and talked to the salesman,he told me everything was fine. When I got there there was a little window back of window on rear drivers side missing. I checked the oil and it was a quart low and dirty, l asked salesman don’t you at least change oil on cars before you put them on the lot. Now I saw a car online on their lot,my son was looking for a work car. I called at 8.15 in the morning for a price the sales manager wasn’t sure yet but would call me back. I called about 5.30 p.m. to see if he knew the price because he hadn’t returned my call . I got to talk to a salesman and said it was sold. They didn’t even call me back with a price or to see if I was interested.
This dealership will rip you off again and again. The service dept. is the worst and will ruin your car. I now bring my Subaru to Ward Muscatell Subaru in Moorhead Mn.
Just bought my second car from there well suv perfect shape only 89,000 miles great deal and price had steve syrup help us with everything was very informative and everything only downfall was the back of my suv has a piece of the tail light missing hoping they will fix it for no cost since we are having to spend more money on it after we buy it excited to test drive and take it home with me
Go somewhere else... this dealership is very bad.
We have purchased several Subaru vehicles from Todd and he has been great! Always available to answer questions and works with us to get things done quickly. We love our Subarus!
Great friendly service.
Is very respectful and nice and helpful for getting u the right vehicle for u
I have always purchased Ford cars, always. In 2014 I purchased my first Subaru, it was a Crosstrek. Fell in love! Just absolutely love Subaru. I had decided to look at a Subaru Forester. Didnt think it would be possible, I love it even more. The Grand Forks dealership was be such a big help and very knowledgeable with all of the car accessories and very patient with me at teaching me how to use all of the new technology in a car.Thank you so very much for everything! Again... I just love my Subaru!
I have nothing but great service at Kia. The prices are great and the service is fast and friendly. I would highly recommend anyone to check out the service department! Thank you for the great service keep up the great service!
Steve was good to work with, but there were no rebates for paying cash. That was disappointing . There was for leasing or financing which doesnt make sense. If Im going to pay cash I should benefit from it. If you lease or finance the company still gets there rebates back in interest or lease charges. I want to give them the money right away and instead I feel like Im getting penalized for it.
Todd is a very professional salesman. He goes above and beyond to find us what we are looking for. This is the third vehicle we have purchased from him. Each Subaru Outback just gets better. Thank you for your exceptional service.
Your service dept. has unprofessional children working in it and the service manager is rude and illiterate.Dont bring your auto here because they will ruin it.Why so many FAKE 5 star reviews?
Just got a new to me Forester. Brad and Chris were great. They were patient and I feel like they took the time to get me a good rate and all that fun stuff. Will totally go back for any future vehicle. Thanks dudes!
Great and friendly service! Best Subaru Dealership I’ve ever been to!
Awesome!
I stopped into Subaru to look at a used Tahoe they had on the lot. I was put in touch with Marjorie Morris, and thought... shes gonna try sell me a car. The Tahoe has 3rd row seating which I didnt want, so Marjorie showed me an Outback. We sat in the car for a LONG time discussing the features and before I knew it I was completely in love with the car!! She knew more about Subarus than I ever thought possible, she was INCREDIBLY patient and super easy to talk to. Even when I said I wanted to go to Chevy to look at trucks, she didnt skip a beat and never pressured me one bit. I cant put into words how thrilled I am with my new car and the service I experienced there!!!! Marjorie was a treat and an absolute pleasure to be with!! Ill go back in a heartbeat just to visit and be around the staff.
Bought a 2020 Subaru Ascent and my tailgate draws power which drains the battery. I keep calling Subaru Corporate and my local GF Subaru and both make me feel little, like thats normal. I paid $50K for this thing and its left me stranded three times, once because the tailgate opened by itself. I have purchased about $200K worth of vehicles at this place over the course of decades and youd think they could replace a tailgate module or provide me triple the battery than what comes with it. All my family has been going with Subaru but how Ive been treated after purchasing this Ascent we will all likely find another dealership to do business with in the future.UPDATE: Recieved a call from dealer day after writing this review. They completed TSB 07-155-19R which Ascent forums claimed fixed the draw 4 months ago. I tried emailing my salesman Todd among a few in Service about this TSB and no response. But after this fix I came home, left the tailgate open and the draw stopped after 20 mins, Im now a happy customer after missing the summer to use this vehicle as it shouldve been able to be used, especially for $50K. If Subaru wouldve been transparent from the beginning by telling me this was a glitch and theyre working on a fix, versus making me feel like an idiot and that this was normal, they couldve kept a few life long customers.
The dealership improperly installed a remote starter a few years ago in my Legacy, which recently caused electrical issues. Because it has been over a year, they wont cover the repair costs. For 5 years I have been loyal to Subaru, ALWAYS taking my car to the dealerships for routine service (even when it takes an hour to get there). I will NEVER make that mistake again. #neversubaru
I have worked with the same sales person the last couple times ive been to Grand Forks Subaru. Kevin was knowledgeable and took his time to show the different features of the car. No pressures either. Graf sales person for great car---the Outback.
My appointment was at 2:00 and finally got in at 3:39. Im out of town and was told it would take a hour to a hour and a half. If you have time to waste, they do good work when you finally get work done.
Recently bought a vehicle from here and not even a 1000 miles later having issues with the vehicle and I now have to pay to get it fixed.Edit: After speaking with the manager they immediately fixed it and didnt charge me.
Never bring your Subaru here for service. Go to another dealership (Muscatell) and be treated like a customer should be treated.
I LOVE my new Subaru Forester Touring! This was the first time custom ordering a car; it was a great experience and I got exactly what I wanted. Steve was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Steve and Grand Forks Subaru!
They ruined my Subaru! Never use this service department or dealership.
Walked in with the intention of just pricing a Subaru Outback, left with a 2019! Got the color we wanted and what a great financing offer! Thanks everyone for putting this all together, especially Steve and Chad.
This used to be a good place to bring your vehicle for service. Past few years its went down hill and it seems like no one cares at this business. It takes forever to get an oil change and they dont care about your time. The guys running the service dept. should be ashamed. Ill take my subie somewhere else, youve lost my business and respect.
Courteous and got the job done!
Everyone I saw greeted me with a smile. Kevin was my sales guy and was very knowledgable.
Great place had a great sales person 😀👍😊
A+++ Absolutely love the Subaru outback, traded in my old one for a new outback. Sales staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and NO PRESSURE. Gave me a great trade in price for my old outback. Made sure I understood all the electronic and features.
Great service and environment.Excellent communications from the service rep.Fast and they did not try to fix something that wasnt broken!!
Wow! Best customer service I have experienced in a long time
Love this place. Service department is the best. Customer service is amazing.
Always friendly, professional and helpful. Service is done quickly, and is nice to wait in their “dog friendly” waiting room.
Great place to go! Everyone in the service department are Always super fast and very friendly!!
Always have been very helpful and don’t make ya feel like you’re bothering them!
My place of employment recently leased a new car from Chad. He was accommodating and performed pick / drop off service multiple times. Let me take car home overnight before committing then also delivered car to work place all cleaned up after the deal was done. Very hassle free and good to deal with.
Thumbs up for the service I received from sales department. Brent was great. Polite, patient, took time. No pressure. Highly recommended dealership!
Always take my car here for service. The last time i had the oil changed i noticed a leak a few days later. The drain plug on my pan was not tightened enough. Usually I have good experiences though. Friendly and professional staff. Just some overlooked maintenance that could lead to problems.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a car either new or used. This is by far the best dealership in the area. All the staff are friendly, kind, and helpful. They really listen to you and make every attempt to cater to your needs. They truly do put the customer first and look at you as family and not just a buyer. The Todd Freese and the other employees go out of their way to make sure that you are satisfied when you leave. I personally will never shop for a car anywhere else.
Yet another failed and unimpressive attempt by Grand forks Subaru... That is the the 3rd and final strike only took little over 2 years good job....just scheduled my new appt with a different dealership for next Friday.....they did not have the parts nor the time to do the work we scheduled 3 weeks ago and upon further research with new Subaru dealership for next Friday the work and parts they were supposed to do with the time they didnt have wasnt for my vehicle anyway glad I took the day off of for this....I will apologise I got angry in your office and offended you with the word clown! But come on!! 3 big errors in 2 years I used to turn wrenches and my wife was a service advisor for years unacceptable
Edit: Then Steve sends me a follow up message not to correct the issue, but to bash my trade and say that he will “let me correct my mistake” by removing my review which apparently “blasts” him.Attempted to work with Steve in sales, was up front about looking at other dealers to be transparent. From that point on he was smug, told him due to the trade price being less than the other few dealers (thousand less than 3 other dealers), I would not be purchasing here. His response? “K”Maybe you need more SALESPEOPLE and less CASHIERS.
They were up front about the time it would take to repair my Tribeca. I really appreciate the honesty when you have a toddler in tow. They were able to get my car repaired in 3 hours and out the door. They even cleaned the interior and it smelled like a new car. Really nice staff made sure we were taken care of.
I believe Ive already answered a survey in regards to the last visit. I generally have very good service when I bring in my vehicle.
Very terrible dealership. The guy helping us was telling us it would be $400 a month for a 2016 Forster that had around 56,000 miles on it. I’m sorry but I could get a new car for payments like that. He kept saying with it being certified the price went up. Well I don’t care how certified it is I’m not paying $400 a month for a used car. I went to Muscatell Subaru in Mn. They were amazing. Got me in a 2019 Impreza for only $300 a month. Highly recommend them over this place
Good and pretty friendly service overall. Only wish they had a quick lube for oil changes instead of having to make appointments sometimes days in advance. Overall a good experience most times.
They always do a great job in record time!
Never a bad experience whether Im getting the car in for a checkup or making a purchase.
Was in parking lot over 25 minutes. Not one person came to visit with me. On my way to Subaru in Moorehead.
I just purchased a new Subaru Outback 2020! This is our 2nd Outback and I could not be more pleased with the improvements added on this model. Regarding the service at GF Subaru, I could not be more appreciative. Not only was the purchase process easy, but Steve spend a great deal of time coaching me on all of the new features. He was both patient in his approach and practical in what he covered. Thanks, GF Subaru!
Home of my favorite car guy, Kevin. Want to deal with someone who truly cares about your budget, your style, and what you need? Kevin is your man. I trust him 10000%
Bought our new and first Subaru Outback 2 weeks ago from Kevin Hruska. We had a good idea of what we wanted and how much our trade in was worth, Kevin didnt play any games or try and lowball us. He was up front and honest with us regarding how long the process would take and his opinion on certain aspects of the car. Overall we were very impressed and grateful with Kevin, the team, and the process of buying from Grand Forks Subaru!
Excellent salesperson, Mr. Hruska. Low pressure, very knowledgeable. I felt he was really trying to help me with what I wanted, not just make a quick sale.
I came in for the oil consumption test, which my vehicle failed. Therefore I received a short block replacement. They said it would take 1.5 - 3 days to complete, they had my my car for a week.I picked it up and tried to leave, but when The vehicle idled low, like at traffic lights it would die. This happened about 6 times while I was driving around the block to bring it back to the dealership. When I told the guy behind the desk he told me they put 10 miles in it and it ran just fine. That was a lie, I took a photo if my odometer before dropping it off and there was only a 1 mile difference.Anyway, the mechanic drove my car and it died on him too, so he pulled it back into the garage and cleaned out the throttle body and reprogrammed the cpu. It ran fine afterwards.I noticed a chirping noise awhile later and discovered brackets they had failed to reconnect, i had to go buy bolts and nuts to fasten them. Then I stopped to get gas and my car wouldn’t start, so I checked the starter and it was barely attached.I now lack confidence in my new short block due to so much sloppy work. I could go on about more problems, but then I’d be typing much longer.
Steves the best
Id buy a car from Kevin.
Went there with special or unusual circumstances and salesman Kevin Hruska and the team went above and beyond to make the purchase the best Ive had and attended to my particular needs professionally and sincerely. This is how a car dealership is supposed to work. Thanks.
Always do a great job with my vehicle!
Great place to find Subaru deals, Kevin is a nice guy there to help u out.
Easily the best car buying experience Ive ever had. Marjorie was extremely nice and helpful, and couldnt have made the transaction go any smoother.
Very nice car dealership bought whiper blades
Nice place to do business with.
My sister brought her car in for an oil change and liked the 2019 Subaru crosstrek on display and bought it. The con man charged her for the oil change on the car she traded in plus talked her into all sorts of add ons for the new car she bought. Talk about taking advantage of a customer.
Service is hit or miss. I just called to ask a question, he answered it, and then cut me off when I tried to further explain the problem and ask a follow up question. Disappointed.
My experience was positive in every aspect with regards to purchasing a new car. They continue to be helpful.
Buying a car was really easy here. Helped knowing what I was really looking for going in but the dealership helped me out and got me through the process for my first new car.
When I returned home I popped the hood and found engine cover missing. Called Subaru and they asked me to return and they would install it. When I was looking at work order it said 0w20 oil installed. Should have been 5w30. Had to change oil again. Not impressed at all
Fantastic care, very pleasant customer lounge
Love Subaru Grand Forks and say thank you for how well we are treated.
Beyond amazing experience with the service department and sales staff! Dealt with Troy in service and had a amazing experience getting my new 2017 WRX serviced on time! Also a huge thank you for the hassle free sale from Jeremy Gowan! Beyond great customer service and all around good experience in all departments
BAD BAD BAD I came in and sat down. The sale man was nice but he gave me the worst deal. He did not want to work with me. He was just there to give me one offer and told me I was getting a good deal.
In Grand Forks for a two day work trip during a record cold snap with highs around -25 F (all GF schools were closed these 2 days) and my car failed to start the last day. I tried everything I could to fix the issue myself with no luck including: jumpering the battery and applying a booster pack at the same time, spraying starting fluid in the air intake, etc. We ended up calling for tow service but nobody was picking cars up who were in a safe location that day so we ended up needing to extend our stay. The next morning I finally was able to get a tow and was actually in contact with the Toyota dealership in the morning who were very helpful. The tow driver ended up talking me into going to GF Subaru however because I have a Subaru Impreza thinking theyd be of best help. We got there and the service desk told me itd be 8 days before theyd be able to look at my car even though I told them I live 5 hours away and am stranded in GF until my car is running. Its a little frustrating they wouldnt even consider letting my car sit in the garage for a little while to warm up as that is likely the only thing the car really needed. Also, the people on the list extending 8 days are likely all locals whod be open to sacrificing a hour or two delay on their car service to allow someone from out of town warm his car up so he could go home. I know my town would have done the same. Needless to say, I then had my car towed to the Toyota dealership who let me pull my car inside to warm up. Wouldnt you know it my car started just fine after sitting for an hour. Needless to say my recommendation would be to take your business over to the Toyota dealership in town. Unless your heart is set on a Subaru then take your service out of town. I wasnt feeling the love...
Great place when looking for a new or used car. Friendly sales staff and excellent service department.
5 star service! Great people, great cars!
Very nice and friendly service!
Todd the sales person awesome!
Very friendly staff but are horrible sales people and will pretty much lie to you. Took my vehicle in for apprasial and asked price for new vehicle. Came back 4 days later my vehicle price decreased $2,500 and buying price increased $3,000 and lied to my face saying they never told me the numbers they did. Personally dont reccomend.
We brought our Kia Rio in to the service shop. The four problems were 1) air bag light, 2) brakes 3) intermittent trouble starting and 4) overheating. They had the car for a week and only fixed one of the four problems (brakes) although they replaced the battery and thermostat, the problems with overheating and starting still remain. The airbag light is also still on. The bill was $816 but they refused to lower it at all when we told them they had not fixed the problems. We couldnt get it back in to the shop because we were moving to a different city the day after we got it back from them, which they knew. I am highly dissatisfied because we will never be able to sell the car for $800 with the problems it has. I feel they did not do a very thorough job and we are now paying for it.
They are the best dealership I can think buying a new car or used car in United States . thats how much I love this guys
Nice people to work with. Service department took care of my vehicle like they said.
Excellent friendly, timely professional service. Couldnt be more pleased!
Once again outstanding customer service.
Wouldve rated higher, but wasnt treated well on my last visit. As much as I used to like and refer people I dont know if Ill return myself.
