Friday at an adjacent business establishment I experience a dead battery and thus my car would not start. I walked over to Z Tire and Auto Service where the young man behind the desk was extremely helpful in trying to get my car to start. Even offered to give me a ride home. I was not a customer just some guy who walked over in need of a little help. The character of this young man is an indication of the people who work at this business and clearly the skill of the individuals who own/operate/run this business and their ability to recognize & hire high caliber employees. I hope this message gets to the young man who was so helpful.

I put new (to me) rims and tires (brand new) on my car I found on FB. They had been balanced when the tires were mounted (not at Z), but still had a vibration. After 2 tries by the dealer I went to Z Tire. They re-balanced the wheels, found minor bends in a couple of rims, and then rotated the tires to minimize any effects of the bent wheels.It was night and day difference as to how well the car drove! I still have a vibration, but only at around 55mph and it is very minor.Awesome service and really great explanations!

I was I my way up North and made it past Vanwagner Road it was raining hard out. I ended up with a flat tire. While waiting for road service I call Z tire. She was so nice and understanding. I drive to Z tire and they looked at my tire within a few minutes. I needed a new tire. They ordered tires to be delivered that afternoon. I was back on the road by around 4 - 4:30. Great service, you could tell they care about their customers. Very friendly and caring. Thank you Z Tire.

Took a few days to get an appointment but very professional and offered shuttle when job was completed. I should have asked to have wheels aligned but my fault for not doing it. Had it done elsewhere (up north) as my truck would drift a little while towing. All good though. Will definitely use them more! Price was 30% lower than Belle tire and much more personal. I had a tire pop 15 minutes before Z tire closed on Friday and had to leave town for business on Monday. Despite being fully booked they were able to squeeze me in and have both my back tires replaced and rotated by noon on Monday. Ill be taking my vehicles to them for all my needs in the future. Im so impressed and appreciative of the folks at Z tire. I had my car towed there after my tire blew up and I was certain it was beyond repair. Not only did they perform some kind of tire miracle, they managed to get me in and done before the end of the day so I could get home to Grand Rapids. If Im ever in the area and need work on my car theyll be my first choice.

The team at Z Tire is top-notch. I have used them several times in the past year for tire repair, tire mounting, and auto repair. Every time they have gone above and beyond my expectations. Being an automotive enthusiast, I am often asked where I recommend someone take their car for repairs and Z Tire is top of the list for the lakeshore area. They will be honest, forthright, and will explain things in a way that is easy to understand no matter what your automotive knowledge is.

It was very unsatisfactory and extremely disappointing. Had my appointment schedule for Thursday September 23, so I dropped my car off before end of work day the 22nd. Called at 5pm on the 23rd to check progress, none had been made and said they would preform the alignment the morning of the 24th, I said ok, but very inconvenient as I was supposed to be heading out of town that morning. I call to check progress at 4pm on the 24th on still nothing had been done and no communication attempts made to let me know it wouldnt be done. So I was out a car multiple days and alignment was ever completed. I lost a day of work and a day of vacation because you couldnt follow a schedule and still dont have a truck thats aligned.Since posting they have reached out to rectify the situation

We took my husbands vehicle in for annual maintenance and asked Z Tire to look for anything at all that is wrong or going bad on the vehicle. They called us after their diagnostic tests and told us absolutely nothing needed work on the vehicle. A couple weeks later, my husband noticed that the squeal of his breaks that had been there for months already was getting worse and there was a new rattle in the back. We took the vehicle back in and they told us that his breaks, rotors, and muffler all needed to be replaced because they were rotted out. How did they not find this two weeks beforehand?? Im so glad the breaks did not completely go out before we could get the vehicle back in. We dont have time to take our vehicles into the shop all the time. We expect them to be able to diagnose problems and fix them the first time. They apparently fixed all of that but the breaks still squeal. :( I also took my vehicle in around the same time because of an abnormal sound coming from my engine. They apparently diagnosed the problem and fixed it and we paid for the new parts, but the sound is still there. They dont know how to find or fix vehicles well at all.

I like how people were honest with us and told us things upfront

I brought 2 vehicles in for their “50 point inspection”. The first vehicle they said was completely fine and running perfect. 2 weeks later I had to bring it back in because my breaks were grinding. I ended up spending 1000 bucks on breaks, rotors, and for them to weld my muffler back onto my car. Somehow they missed all these things. However, it doesn’t end there. We also brought my wife’s car in for the same “50 point inspection” because we kept hearing a belt or a chain that needed to be replaced. They called me and proceeded to tell me they thought it might be the timing chain. A couple days later they told me it was the serpentine belt so I had them fix it. 1 day later the car was making the same noise, and a week after that the car stalls out every time we start it. Turns out it WAS the timing chain all along. So not only did they not find and correctly diagnose the issues with BOTH our vehicles, they made us pay for things that didn’t actually need to be replaced. We also are without one of our vehicles AGAIN. I work 30 minutes from home and my wife 45. This makes just living our lives a huge pain in the butt. Ever since the previous owners sold Z tire has gone down the toilet. They don’t pay attention to the vehicles and the 50 point check is completely bogus. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else.

First time used their service. The staff were great, friendly and kept me updated. Finished before the time that was initially told and I appreciated the review of the work when I picked up the vehicle. Will be using again for sure...

Very disappointed. Made an appointment more than a week in advance for an oil change. Needed done by noon on the designated day. Called at 11:45, was not done, excuses made, no viable solution offered. I pushed politely and was hung up on by Carrie.

I recently had a bad tire that needed to be repaired. I arrived at the shop at 7:45am before they were open. There was a technician there (Abe) who let me and gave me prompt service. Super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to get our car back to us as quickly as possible. We brought it in on a Monday to get four replacement tires. I brought my truck into z tire to get my muffler and some piping replaced. They were capable of doing the work but referred me elsewhere to get the job done at a fraction of the price. At the end of the day Z tire was very honest and did not try to take advantage of the situation.

I am not a car person, this is where I go for pretty much anything. Gary is extremely knowledgeable and spends time to explain to me whats going on, what theyre going to do, and how to save $$$ on fixes in the future without talking down to me or my wife. My wife went here before believing that she needed a new set of tires due to how the car was driving, most places that Ive taken my car before would have just sold her the tires and made some money on that. Ended up that she needed an alignment and a patch and we saved some serious money which we turned around and bought new tires with later down the road. They have a Shape Corp discount program, do great work, and will rotate tires if you buy them here. Use them as much as you can, as long as I can get in!

This place is the definition of First Class service. After calling several places for quotes, the professional warmth received over the phone call had me scheduling with Ztire. When i showed up with my toddler in tow they arranged it so my daughter and I could be comfortable at home while the service was being completed . When I picked up my car later with my husband (now home from work), I saw that not only did I receive excellent over the top service, but my gas tank was full! It was in-between a half and a quarter tank when i originally took it in. Later I realized this was the same tire place that had squeezed me in years before at the end of their day to plug my tire so i could meet the rest of my family on vacation. This company had moved buildings, and Im horrible with names, here i thought it went out of business. Thank goodness its still around and giving amazing hometown hospitality to its customers! We service all our work and personal vehicles here a couple years now. They have always been great to work with, great service and fair price. Busy shop, dont expect to just pop in like buying fries at McDonalds-but they will treat you right and they really know their stuff.

First off, I cannot stress enough how good of a job that the folks at Z tire do from customer service to actually doing the work in addition to going the extra mile to assist a customer.I discovered myself that I needed a new tire on my back driver side but was trying to find a used tire until I can afford to get four new tires later on this year. Chris searched high and low and called 5 to 6 other tire shops to find a used tire considering they didnt have my particular size lying around at their shop.Because she did that I ended up just ordering two new tires to get put on and she would definitely work with me to keep me within my budget considering the holidays put a dent on my pocket. I have a father-in-law that takes both his and his wifes car to them and has nothing but great luck with them . Because they are so busy with cars being pulled into their lot I had to schedule my appointment a week and a half out.The reason I bring this up is because they do their very best to get the work done needed in a very reasonable amount of time and many others must trust them considering the work they had lined up . I say that to say this, I also needed a water pump to be replaced on my car that had kicked the bucket after making my appointment to put new tires on my car . With a little flexibility on my part to letting them keep my car an extra day they were able to squeeze in that extra repair and fix my car up right in addition to that not being overcharged.They are very trustworthy people and they have great customer service and they get the work done in a very timely manner and you dont feel like you walk away being robbed. Because of the great and outstanding service provided my wife and I will constantly be bringing our vehicles back to them because its so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic shop that will tell you the truth and what actually is wrong with the car rather than fabricating lies about what isnt wrong just to make an extra buck .Thank you to Chris for going the extra mile and working with me and my wife to keeping our repairs within budget thank you Gary for providing outstanding service for us and squeezing in that extra water pump repair.From tires to major repairs you cannot go wrong was he tired because of the folks who run it. Don’t take your car anywhere else! Even if they are busy (which they are.... because, unfortunately for me, it’s becoming a well known fact that they are the best around) . If I could rate them six stars, I would! They continue to go above and beyond for me and my beloved old beat up 2006 Honda Pilot. Not only do they fix the problem, they patiently explain to the layman ( with sketches and actual broken parts) what the problem is, and how they fixed it. As a woman with a long history of driving used cars, I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to go to a mechanic that actually helps a person understand why and what they are paying for.
