We absolutely LOVE their variety of foreign plants!! They always have a great selection of plants, indoor and outdoor... HOWEVER..... The one thing we definitely do NOT like is, when we were there, it was self checkout only yesterday... I dont think well be going back for a while just because of that... Were not for taking jobs from people... But it is a very clean store, the staff has ALWAYS been super friendly and VERY helpful...

The WORST. Im a local home builder and trust me, I have a dozen terrible experiences to share. Sometimes home buyers want to go get items, and I will sometimes allow it, even tho I strongly recommend they go anywhere else but here. Youll go through the hellish customer service, and contractor sales. Defective merchandise that was returned from someone and SOLD again, to me, more then once! They offer nothing but snide return policies over the phone, as well as in person. Management should have a policy to not restock shelves, or racks with defective merchandise. Blood pressure spikes whenever I drive past that place. Ive heard other towns have really good ones? Maybe, but for GI, Id say dont waste your time. Because you will, and the savings you might think you are getting will cost you WAY more down the road. Maybe take the trip to Lincoln if youve fell in love with a home Depot item that you really want.

I would give no stars if I could. This location has no clue what they are doing! Hanging up on a customer when Im on hold 3 times is just lazt employees. Good luck yall

Some of the worst customer service around. The only person that knows anything about anything, is Phil, that man is a saint. Every single person that we have dealt with there other than Phil has either given us wrong quotes on shades, flooring, and fence supplies. With how the market is things take longer than usual, but now our house is a month to two months behind schedule due to Home Depot’s finest in Grand Island.To top it off just called the phone number to check the order status of our flooring, the automated service found our order and said it has shipped but you will have to talk to an associate about time frame, cool, talked with a person, they said they can’t find it without an order number.....but wait the automatic service found it cause I was calling on the phone that is associated with the order...but there’s no way we can find your order.Do your job, do it well and master your craft.Mad props to Phil, that guy needs a raise. If I have to deal with anyone that is the guy I’m working with from now on

Best price for brand name tools, if only they actually carried more, this store in particular takes forever to put new items on the shelves. Several tools I can buy elsewhere and have it delivered 6 months prior to them actually receiving it in store

I was looking for new kitchen cabinets I had some questions and so I asked this girl to help me I dont think she understood what I was saying she can barely speak English I said is there somebody else that can help me no the other guy went to lunch and wont be back for at least an hour she wasnt very knowledgeable but they could order or not order she said get online and you can go from there

This is the cleanest and best stocked Home Depot I have been too, including all of the stores in Omaha and Lincoln. Not only that, but the staff was attentive, polite and professional. Good job Grand Island Home Depot!

My boyfriend wanted a certain tool set that he found advertised online. A worker came to help us, looked with us in the same places wed already looked. She said her scanner showed their store had 2 sets, but they didnt know where they were and then left us to try and find it on our own...Super irritated we wasted 45 minutes and never found it.

Great store! Very nice employees and you can always find help easily. Well stocked, super clean and they offer a huge selection in every department. Much friendlier staff than at Menards! Have used the HD/Kayl heating and air services, carpet and flooring services (Phil and the flooring staff are amazing-great people to work with). Customer service and returns are top notch. *Bonus, for active military and wounded warrior veterans, they offer discounts to members with ID on many in stock items. Great garden center and nice open parking. Overall, the best big box home improvement store in Grand Island!

I ordered a gas range on December 1, was supposed to be delivered by the 18th of February I had to call that day to find out it was delayed. Not a big deal but it would of been nice if they had let me know it was delayed without me having to call. It got rescheduled to Saturday, Saturday came along and it got delivered but somewhere between the delivery team and Home Depo they messed up the ticket and my product didn’t get installed like it was supposed to. Called again to set up installation and it seemed like they had it figured out and said they would call me right back to set up a scheduled time, never got a call back. I’ve already paid for all of this and I can not get a hold of anyone to get something scheduled three days later.

Everyone is always helpful. I love that they price match!!

Went to Home Depot to buy a door, storm door and related accesories. Not only did they have what I was looking for, but the gentleman, Jon, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! My total bill came in at just under $600; I received a military discount of 10%, of which Im grateful! Thanks Home Depot for your support of the military!

If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I went in to have Home Depot- Grand Island, estimate a full kitchen remodel off of the measurements I performed, and the associate informed me that it costs 99.00 for them to come measure. I informed them I have the measurements, and a print to estimate off of, and the associate refused.

Went to check out cordless power tools and we were pleased with the amount of selections and options. We ended up picking up about 6x the tools we planned to stick to. My husband is prior military so I reminded him to mention his discount, which he did and they obliged, but on the receipt there was absolutely no indication of a discount. Was very very disappointed about that.

Like the neat ideas for remodeling your home. Painting things. Really fun stuff.

Slow service when I pulled into curbside pickup

Ordered a upright freezer on July 29 to be delivered on August 6. On Monday august 3 I decided to check the status of the order and to my surprise it had been cancelled. I call right away and got a lady at Home Depot.com she confirmed the order had been cancelled with a note two hours after I placed the order that someone needed to contact me. I called the local Grand Island NE store finally got the manager and his excuse was they tried to reach me, the phone number was wrong, I had two people verify the order by asking for my phone number he finally apologized and said it was an internal communications problem that the model i ordered was out of stock I argued that it was not out of stock when ordered he offered a 25.00 gift card what an insult. I now have a 1/2 beef coming and no deep freeze. Oh and they finally credited my credit card 21/2 weeks later done with home depot.

Finding someone to help you is almost impossible.

Today we stopped in to find a great color of paint to finish our kitchen cabinets with, we were helped immediately. The two associates we fabulous in the paint center. The first associate helped us choose the perfect shade, she played with our kids and she was so very kind. The second associate helped us choose the proper level of paint to provide the requirements to be durable in a kitchen setting. We are very thankful for all the time and kindness we recieved. Glad we stopped in and very happy to finally finish our kitchen.

They need to tell employees to wear their mask correctly, especially since the company has done the right thing by making it required by customers and employees even in towns without mandates.Went in today and had a young woman cashier chit chatting with her manager right before we got up there and was never told to have her mask on correctly, her nose and mouth were basically exposed.

This Home Depot is a delight. I have stopped here on my way home from college several times and every experience has been wonderful. The staff is very knowledgeable, and if someone isnt sure of something they quickly find someone who is. Great place.

I recently had a refrigerator delivered to my home and the experience was not so great. When the refrigerator arrived I was missing the refrigerator water hose I had ordered along with it and the delivery crew said it was Home Depots fault and to top it off they did not install the fridge after I was told at the store when ordering that it was to be installed. Next, when the refrigerator was being brought into the home the workers went through my lawn with the forklift. Finally after the fridge was inside the home I asked What about all that mess that is in front of my lawn? (all the packaging the fridge came in) the worker responded That is not our job to clean up. Thereafter, I called Home Depot to ask about my hose kit and I also mentioned about the trash that they left and the installation that was not done. Home Depot responded saying that they would reimbursed me for the hose that never came in and I had to purchase separately on my own and that the workers would be sent back to my home to clean up the mess in my lawn and the workers never arrived.

Needed black iron for a project. Bernie took time out from what he was busy doing to give us good advice on selection, quality service on cutting/threading/wrapping, and all with a friendly attitude at the end of a long Saturday. You dont get that everywhere, he really made the experience at Home Depot enjoyable while getting exactly what we needed.

VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE!!! Ordered a whole-home appliance bundle- dropped quite a bit of money at this store, only to be 2 months out from having the delivery completed. We placed the our order, when it came in 2 weeks later they told me the dishwasher AND refrigerator AND stove were ALL damaged in shipping and they had to order new ones. The only thing not damaged was the microwave. TWO weeks later, the refrigerator was damaged again and the dishwasher had to be ordered again. The second stove had a dent in the back but the manager didnt want to return it because the damage was on the back side. I said I was more concerned about what trauma had happened internally on the stove and not just the dent and that he needed to throw in a 5 year warranty if he wasnt going to return it. We paid for delivery, then they no-showed us on the date they were scheduled-so I had to call and their answer was that it was on the truck but they just didnt deliver it. The THIRD refrigerator had a dent as well, and when the third-party company delivered it, they damaged our door jams and scratched the fridge. TWO weeks later, they had another fridge that got damaged in shipping and once again had to reorder a FIFTH fridge! TWO months later we finally got our FIFTH and FINAL fridge! By this point we just needed to be able to move in to our new house that we didnt even mess around with the door jams that they beat up twice while installing our fridge. SEVERLY DISAPPOINTED- Not once did they discount our deliver charges, even though they had no-showed us. Not once did they offer a discount for the two-month wait- or having to take time off of work to meet them numerous times! I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE REVIEWS ON GOOGLE!!! LOTS OF DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS!

My wife was trying to find the right fixture for our remodel. Ray was very patient and took a lot of time and showing the different options, ratings, etc. Very impressed with the employees and how helpful they are.

The people are very friendly. Always have a great quick experience at the checkout. If you go into a specialty area like appliances or carpet you need to find someone to help its not readily available but once you get someone they are always very helpful.

We just waited 45 min. to make a carpet purchase and we’re basically ignored by the carpet sales staff. He recognized we were waiting and was presently helping another couple but that he would be with us shortly. After the other couple left, he ignored us to go flag for a forklift. When we inquired about him helping us, he said it would “be awhile yet”. Whatever happened to good customer service first? We ended up leaving the store and will make our carpet purchase elsewhere. Very disappointed!
