On January 8, 2019 I purchased a new quartz counter top from Home Depot. I was told that Sims-Lohman was the contractor responsible for their installations. After reading the reviews online, I was concerned. However, my experience was GREAT! My counter top was installed yesterday (Jan 28th) and the installers were professional, prompt and answered all of my questions. I was surprised that the process moved so quickly and would highly recommend this company. Thank you!
We went in there to see about getting an estimate to replace countertops. The lady who helped us told that the owner is the only one who would give us an estimate and he would have to come out to our house. She told us he would call within 24hrs to schedule a time. A week later I called back and mentioned I havent heard anything she told me they dont like to work in house that are valued under 200,000 and I would need to call someone else.
Hello Owner of Sims-Lohman,2/Two years ago you wrote a response to Jen to contact the Sims-Lohman location in Zionsville, IN at the number provided by you and to speak with our Sales Manager. He would be happy to work with you to remedy this situation. I dialed that number and the name of the person confirmed who he was. Why would you recommend him to solve a concern or remedy a situation? My opinion of this man is that he (and the other person in - I believe - a sales development manager role... who is no longer with your company) are liars at best.I moved to Indianapolis 6/six years ago to work for Sims-Lohman in the role of a Designer. My first day was the first Monday in December, 2013 and by mid-January, I was called into the office and told that I as being let go. When asked why? (as it was without merit and/or warning), I must have been perceived as impudent as I was told emphatically, ...for the third time John, we can’t tell you why! My experience there was nothing gleaming, yet I was determined to make the best of it. There was no leadership – how could there be - as they were not there! As a whole, chaos seemed to reign. One day following lunch I was told to go to another persons office and learn how to do their job since they were going on paternity (c-section) leave beginning at 2:00 that afternoon. I believe paternity leave is usually scheduled in advance, though this was my notice.Reading now some of the customer reviews that I wish I had seen prior to my beginning work there, I would have made a wiser choice than to align myself with Sims-Lohman. The reviews from customers that have been posted following my departure lead me to realize that management may have been busy trying to solve and remedy their problems and concerns and did not have the time nor focus to train me in their manner. Yet that doesnt explain the customer complaint of no responses. If they werent in contact with customers and werent providing training to me, where were they and what were they doing? The sales manager you referenced Jen to went on a scheduled 2/two week vacation during the Holidays so was not there to train me. Upon his return, he mentioned to me that he felt he did me a disservice for not being available to me (I believe that is referred to as lip-service... anymore a recurring theme).
Please use another company!
