In late May 2021 I took my 2002 Honda VTX 1800 to Powersports of Greenville to fix a wiring issue with my headlight. I also asked about them replacing my rear tire. I dealt with Edwin, the Service Mgr. I picked the bike up on June 3rd. Wiring was fixed and new rear tire installed. At that time Edwin told me they had also replaced a burned out turn signal bulb. Everything seemed fine.On the way home, the turn signal lens cover fell off and broke. The next day I took the bike to the mountains for a couple of days. When I returned home I noticed that the rear axle bolt was loose. This was very unnerving since I had just ridden to and from the mountains on the bike. I called Edwin (Service Mgr) and told him about the lens cover and the axle. He COULD NOT have been less concerned that his dept had sent out a bike with a loose axle that could have been catastrophic for me had the axle kept backing out while I was riding. He just said his guy must have forgotten to torque the axle. When discussing the lens cover, he accepted responsibility. The resolution however, was very complicated and time consuming. He should’ve said “Bring the bike back. We’ll take care of it.” He didn’t. This began a weeks on end process of him asking for the brand name of the aftermarket light-bar (already on the bike when I bought it), photos of the damaged light, photos of the existing light, photos of the existing light with a tape measure so he could see the dimensions, just on and on. This process of back and forth emails and phone calls went on until August. I finally asked if he could just find some lights at his shop to replace it with. He agreed and asked me to drop the bike off. I did so and the bike stayed an additional two weeks. After several phone calls to follow up, I was able to speak to Jerry in the Service Dept. (Edwin was out sick). When I explained the situation to Jerry, he said he would take care of it. Five hours later he called back and said it was fixed and ready to be picked up. Jerry corrected in five hours what Edwin had been fooling around with for a month! The ONLY reason this is not a 1 star rating is because of Jerry. Not only is their work slow but they have little concern for rider safety.
Thank you so much to Jerry and everyone else in the service department for fixing my 2021 Honda CRF150R. I was having issues with my bike starting and staying on and these guys fixed it no problem! My bike was only in their shop for a few days. Now she fires up on the first kick and rides so much better. Don’t hesitate to give them a call, these are honest guys doing honest business. Thanks PowerSports of Greenville!
Excellent!,I got what I wanted . Everyone treated me as if they knew me. It was raining and they said they would deliver it. Guy followed me home. I bought a helmet and cover . They know their stuff. I even met another who just purchased a can am and we exchanged numbers to ride this summer. The atmosphere was refreshing. It was New Years eve but I think its like this everyday. Loved it.
Based on my experience, you add 40% to whatever price they show online. They will quote you an out the door price when you get in there, with a bunch of unexplainable trumped up fees (hence, the 40%). A shipping fee, for a vehicle already there at their place (didnt have to have it brought in from somewhere else). An assembly fee for which no assembly was required. A documentary fee for unknown paperwork. They tried to say well, its financing paperwork - I wasnt financing anything, paying in full. Then said oh, well, some DMV paperwork - not doing that either, not driving it on the public roads. A very sleazy sales practice you might expect from 30 years ago. Get you in the door with a reasonable price, then add a bunch of malarkey fees. If you want to sell it for a price, be honest and put that price on your website. Stop lying to people.
I’m giving the team over at PowerSports a 5 star for helping me secure a UTV. Justin and Rodney were very helpful, and I’ll be looking to do more business with the team again.
We purchased a new Ryker and was very impressed with the communication. Marcus was able to get the bike setup with all the accessories and ready to be picked up promptly.Thank you guys for the smooth transaction.
First service for my bike and first time service visit. Excellent! I recommend and will be back. Thank you Edwin and Jerry. Picked up an LED bulb from parts while waiting. Again, excellent help and friendly staff. Thank you!
Terrible customer service. We were first interested in Kodiak but they wanted $3000 down to finance, which is crazy bc thats almost half of MSRP. Then 2 days later called and said a Rancher just came in an was available with $400 down. When we came to look at and do the paperwork for purchase(on a Friday), they told us we couldnt take it home that day. They were waiting for the upgraded tires to come in. We said we would purchase it without the tires but they declined, telling us its only for sale with the tire upgrade. We asked if we got to keep the stock tires since we are paying MSRP and that purchase price included tires. Although we were not happy with the tires, we continued on with the sell. Tuesday morning came and it was time to pick up the 4 wheeler. They told me they needed until after lunch to get the tires on. Around 2pm they called and said something happened with Honda financing and they didnt give them all the money for the loan and that they needed an additonal $300 from me before I could pick the 4 wheeler up. Some shady business going on there for sure. I would never do business with this place!!I went to D2 powersports in Spartanburg and they did us right! For the same Kodiak I was looking at with these guys (that powersports wanted $3000 down) i walked out with a new 4 wheeler for $500 down. The entire staff at d2 was helpful and never tried to upsale me or give me false information. Do yourself a favor and go to D2 ask for Julianne!
These guys really helped me out in a pinch. I towed my Yamaha MT09 down from Ohio to ride with a buddy down in Greenville over a three day weekend. We had 6 hour rides planned Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. After our ride on Saturday, i had wires showing on my rear tire. I started calling shops in a panic at 3PM fearing places wouldnt be willing to work in me so late on a Saturday. Edwin and his crew were understanding of my situation and stayed after close to make sure i get a new rear tire put on and my weekend trip wasnt ruined (Most auto stores are closed Sunday and Mondays). Thanks Powersports of Greenville!
Nice people but I was really gonna buy the Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000 Trail that was sitting outside and tow it back to Kansas. However, they wanted MSRP and didnt want to deal. You never pay MSRP for toys if youre smart.
Very friendly staff. Got a 2021 Kx250. Chuck was our salesman. He got us hooked up and was very friendly. He definitely enjoys his job. Thanks Chuck!
Went in to check out what kind of fun toys they have. Eric was the rep I spoke to and he is super knowledgeable. Any questions I had he answered them. Definitely knows his stuff. Look forward to making a purchase soon!!
My husband says theyre knowledgeable & ready to help. Were new to dirt biking so have had some questions! 🙂
We have brought multiple toys in to be worked on and Jerry has really taken care of us since we moved to the area. He is always polite and professional and fair pricing. I trust him and his team to take care of my bikes!
Very kind staff. willing to listen, help & address any issue with care & technical knowledge. they will greet you well. Certainly not just another dealer as i noticed when i was there. Staff here seem to know their job well and enjoy what they do. From sales to Service dept. I felt this place is graceful and where my motocycle need to be from now on. They have nice select bikes for sale and the service garage was full of quality bikes as well, proof that service here is About competence & know how.
I came and spoke with Jeff about some Spyders and he was really knowledgeable, which I appreciate! I have worked retail for 30 years and that is not always the case so it is nice to see. I will recommend Jeff to everyone! Thanks for all your help!
After having terrible experiences at the local dealers near the Charlotte area, I decided to expand my search. Powersports of Greenville advertised some excellent deals on Cycletrader.com. I had some time to spare so I decided to roll the dice and drive the hundred miles. Im glad I did. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and I never felt pressured. After some negotiation they gave me a great deal on a 2020 Ninja 400 ABS and a Yoshimura slip-on exhaust. They hooked me up with an excellent rate on my financing and even helped me load the bike onto the back of my truck. Ill be sure to check them out first when Im ready to buy another bike.
Excellent, I must say as a first time Ryker buyer my experience here was amazing. If you are in the market for a new bike Marcus Felton is your guy, very professional and goes above and beyond for you “the customer”... If you ever in the area go check them out tell him CJ sent you.
I have been searching for a place that could replace the tube inside a Razor scooter tire. A half dozen places said they could not or would not help me, so I left the tire in my car hoping I would find a place. Today I was driving by and thought I would stop and see. These guys not only met, but exceeded my expectations! They are professional, informed, and well-spoken. I am so glad I stopped in and I will definitely go back with more business!
A data point for comparison shopping purposes. The bottom line for an oil change for a 2015 Can-Am Spyder RT-S SE6 at PowerSports of Greenville SC was $427. I was advised of the price before I dropped off the motorcycle. The breakdown was:* Oil Change Kit — $98.99* Labor (2H @ $151/hour) — $302.00* Shop Supplies —$18.12* Disposal Fee — $1.45* Tax — $7.11* Total — $427.67
Service desk guy was incredibly social and helped to his best ability! truly impeccable service by the whole service crew!
One of the best place in the upstate to buy anything you want and need, take a look at there inventory and go and talk to Eric Wood he will hook you up hes honest and give you the best deal possible. Go on down and check it out I promise youll be happy with the outcome.
Great to do business with, friendly and expedient staff. Bought a atv and was in and out in no time with everything in order and no questions left unanswered. Ask for Jeff he’s top notch.
I haven’t met everybody at the shop, but the people I’ve had the pleasure of working with, have been terrific. They care about their customers and they take the necessary steps, to make sure you come back. Thanks to Jerry in service, for going above and beyond.
Excellent customer service. Called about a set of tires. They were helpful over the phone and able to get my bike in immediately. For a set of new tires.. Excellent overall motorcycle shop.
Been looking for awhile for the right 4 wheeler. Luckily, I was able to be helped by Dara. Even though it was a busy day, she took the extra time that I needed to find the right one for me. Her and her knowledgeable staff got me on a Raptor and I love it. The total process didn’t take that long at all which was great of course. So Greenville and surrounding areas, make sure you go here first, it will be the only stop you will need to make. Thanks Guys!
Brought in a klr for new tires and tubes install and pannier rack install. They quoted me $150 +/- $20 install on pannier rack. They did excellent job on both and only charged me $99 for pannier! Awesome 👍 thank you guys/gals. Will absolutely go back there for future service. Kudos!
My first visit at Power Sports of Greenville this past week. Spoke with salesman Eric Wood, extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about inventory! Definitely will be back!
I recently purchased a Onewheel XR+ at Powersports of Greenville. The gentleman that assisted me was very knowledgeable about the product and helpful. My unit had an issue from the factory (it happens), and they swapped it out, no problem, for another unit. Things happen, but a good business will make it right for their customers even if it is the manufacturers error. Im glad I bought local instead of online (it would have taken weeks to ship it back and get it replaced by the manufacturer) and I will certainly shop there again!
I went in looking for an ATV, I spoke with Jeff and he was extremely knowledgeable and helped me with everything I needed. 10/10 Would Recommend
Usually have a horrible experience with salespeople and avoid them altogether but was pleasantly surprised when working with Jeff. He was extremely knowledgeable and articulate and I will definitely recommend to my friends and family to seek him out at Powersports of Greenville. He didnt waste my time trying to BS me and I appreciate that!
Went in looking for a new ATV, great service! Jeff helped me look, very knowledgeable and helpful. Ask for Jeff when you go, you will not be dissapointed.
Jerry in service was exceptional with my service needs. The task was done well and expeditiously.Id recommend this organization without exception
Great parts service! Cant speak for the rest of the business.
Jerry in the Service Department provided exceptional customer service! I was recently in North Carolina on vacation and had an issue with my Can Am Spyder. I spoke with Jerry 30 minutes before closing, he assured me they could look at my motorcycle first thing the next morning and hopefully get me back on the road. True to his word, they looked at my Spyder immediately the next morning and had me back on the road within an hour and a half! Entire crew were friendly, professional and provided excellent customer service! I highly recommend Powersports of Greenville!
Have bought several good bikes here
PowerSports of Greenville is the real deal. Lots of places treat you good up front and so do these folks. To me where a company really separates themselves is in the service department. PowerSports service department really takes care of the customer. I have never been disappointed in timeliness, price, or results. I trust these guys and you can too.
Great service department Edwin the service manager is very knowledgeable and an easy guy to deal with.
Had some questions and spoke with Jeff he was extremely knowledgeable and it was clear he knew the equipment he was selling. A good experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to return and buy from Jeff.
Salesman was rude and would not help us. We left to buy from another dealer.
Didnt have part needed but some great rides here
Well my 20 year old son decided he was going to buy a motorcycle so he bought the helmet the jacket the boots he just so happened to buy the helmet and the Bluetooth speaker from Greenville powersports well he decided that he wasnt going to buy a motorcycle so I was going to return his helmet for him and the guy at the counter was going to refuse to return it I begged him to return it and after he went in to the office he told me he would gladly return it for a 25% restocking fee which cost me over $90 to return that stuff I think that was just poor business $20 maybe but not $90
Great service my sales person Eric was amazing and he was polite. He helped out with every question that I had and we decided on vehicle that was fit for my personal needs.
This place is the best for all your big boy toys! Eric Wood is the best if you need a toy Erics your boy lol......
Jerry and Edwin in the service department are amazing. Both are very knowledgeable and eager to help. They helped me balance a unique tire that no other shop was willing to touch. Thanks for the great service and professional know how. 5 stars all the way.Robert
Everyone was very knowledgeable and attentive during my purchase. No b.s. salesman was Jeff. He knows his stuff and cares about his customers. Will purchase there again.
Happy with the customer service provided by Jeff and will be happy to work with him when I am ready to buy.
Went there Sat June 27, 2020, we got there 30 mins before closing looking for a 4x4 Honda, Jeff and the guys stayed 2 hours after closing to help us and were the nicest group Ive ever dealt with! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your time to help us! Thats what I call awesome customer service and if your looking for an ATV or motorcycle thats the place to go.
These guys have the absolute best customer service! Corbin was an amazing saleman. He made sure my experience was great from the time I walked through the door. From me choosing a ride to educating me on how to ride it.He was very patient. This will definitely be my favorite place!
I made a special trip down from NC to check out this store and the one next door. I walked in and wasnt greeted at all and actually had to hunt someone down to ask for a price. Next at the parts department I asked about a pretty basic aftermarket part for my bike. The guy at the counter had never even heard of rearsets! And this is the person working on bikes? Save yourself the time and trouble and go elsewhere for your motorcycling needs.
Jeff is the absolute best, and he is now at FOOTHILLS MOTORSPORTS in Piedmont SC, no destination and no setup fees, give him a call and drive right past powersports of Greenville! I had questions, he had answers. He will get my business again and again. He is the go to guy in the sales department,
Didnt sale scooters so wasnt any help to me
Stopped by to browse and ended the experience purchasing two atvs for my son and husband. Great experience; knowledgeable staff, quick transaction. Added two helmets for safety and lots of education on riding, the laws/regulation and children riding for the first time. Felt good about decision to purchase from here.
GREAT EXPERIENCE. Go see Jeff! He made our family buying experience amazing. This Powersports shop had the bikes we were looking for. It was all Jeff and his care that got us on the right rides. We bought two dirt bikes that fit our children perfect! THANK YOU JEFF and THANK YOU POWERSPORTS OF GREENVILLE.
Great visit at Power Sports of Greenville today. I spoke to the salesman Eric, he was very knowledgeable and had great customer service.
Ive been here a few times over the past month. I was looking for my first bike and Chuck really helped out. In fact the entire sales staff helped out. After learning a little bit about what I was looking for and some of my past experiences Chuck was able to point me towards the perfect bike. Between Chuck and several others in sales and parts it made this experience really awesome.3/14/2019 Update;Chuck deserves a raise or a plaque or at least a crisp high five. He was able to work with me and help get me on the road. Even though thanks to the bank the process got really drawn out and took forever he stuck in there and made magic happen. I really appreciate the entire staff from sales to parts to finance and management. They were all super helpful and really awesome. I will definitely be back to get another. If youre in the market for a new or new to you motorcycle I recommend you stop by and ask for Chuck.
Dont recomend this store. Took bike back numerous times to fix problem, they said it was ready to go each time. Not sure if they even looked at it payed them over $1500 going to get bike bac take it somewhere else. Pitiful.picked up bike, service manager was aware of my post figured he would want to fix the situation and allow me to giv them a thumbs up but did not. It is only a fan issue on a water cooling machine limited issues it would be .
Stopped by and spoke with Eric. Very good customer service and knowledgeable about the vehicles. I highly recommend going here.
My son bought his first bike from here today. Great customer service. Thank you Austin and Jeff for all the help. You are appreciated
All around great experience, they were the only dealership within 100 miles that had what I wanted. Jeff was very helpful from start to finish, and even helped with loading and securing the bike for transport. Highly recommend Jeff and powersports of Greenville for all of your powersports needs!
Super friendly staff. Great buying experience.
Over all Ive been coming here since 2012, for fourwheeler parts ect. And Im sad to say that I feel that the costumer service could be more involved with clients . The gentleman the back who takes part orders, is not very nice nor willing to try educate other to help with their problems or reffering them to something else. He acts as if your not buying something in store he doesnt care. This place has been around for years its steadily declining .
I came in looking for some info on CanAm Spyders and Jeff was extremely knowledgable about the product. I will be checking back and would recommend him to everyone I know looking to buy a CanAm Spyder.
Great guys over there!
Quick visit to the service shop for a tire mounting. Excellent team running this place. Fast and friendly service. This folks know all facets of power sports. Give them a try. You wont be disappointed.
Austin was a great guy to do business with! He was very nice and helpful throughout the whole process of buying my motorcycle. I would recommend anyone heading to powersports of Greenville to get with Austin!
Service department is top notch! Ordered two tires from them and when they came in they mounted them the same day even though it was late afternoon while I waited. Awesome customer service!
They wont sell you anything that they think is ugly. When I tried to buy a whole set of plastics for my dirt bike what the sales rep quoted and they profile you by the way you look even if you can buy the whole store. Will, never get my business again.
Very friendly. They listen to u and then help u fix the problem u are having with ur powered vehicle.
Impressed by how knowledgeable and patient Jeff and the whole staff were!
I am, and have been a long time customer at PowerSports in Greenville. Theres a reason, Jerry and Edwin are always available and helpful. From big installs to just helping with tightening a windshield screw. Customer service is not something they take lightly, and for me thats a huge deal. Thanks guys, and see you soon!
Went in to take a look at a 2020 kawasaki ninja 400. Jeff got me one hell of a deal on not just the bike but also gear. I definitely recommend going to see Jeff at power sports.
I am absolutely amazed at the level of customer service and level of thouroness and knowledge of motorcycles. Friendly and caring staff, as well as the variety of motorcycles are an absolute plus. Ask for Chuck. No doubt the friendliest man on planet Earth. Hes an insanely hard worker and was the one guy who walked me through the whole process. Will definitely receive future business without question.
I backed out of purchasing a MT-09 last minute (sorry Chuck and Mike) because I got a deal through a relative. They didnt hold a grudge or say anything, instead they gave me a great deal on my wifes 2018 rebel 500. They were also willing to receive and assemble the ordered MT-09 from Yamaha for the lowest price I could find. Great people. Will continue to use this shop.
Chuck was amazing to work with and always a blast to hang out with even after purchasing the bike! He got me to try out a ton of bikes and get a feel for what is right for me even after I changed my mind several times. Tim and Edwin helped me out over in parts and gear getting me sized up and finding styles that matched me and overall I had a great time at Powersports and loving my motorcycle!
Nice friendly staff
Bought a 2019 Kawasaki ninja there about 6 months ago was a overall pretty good experience
Aj in parts was a genuine help. Knowledgeable and patient. Everyone in service are ready to help and explain things. Would take my bike nowhere else to have work done
Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Very impressed with how they treated me and my son since hes a first time buyer of a motorcycle. Will return for purchase. Charles very helpful
Caleb is the man you want to talk to when purchasing a bike. Excellent customer service and really care about getting you the best deal and bike that fits you. He goes above and beyond to make sure he leaves every customer satisfied. Represents the brand very well. Powersports the place to be
DO NOT ORDER special items from them. Buy whats in stock! We got baited and switched for a lawnmower attachment. Told us product would be 5-7 days for delivery. 3 weeks later we still dont have it. We did 6 months 0% for and item that has not been delivered. They now claim they TOLD US it would be a month for delivery, prior to purchase...which they did not. Who waits a month for a lawnmower when you can just go to Home Depot and buy one for the same price? We will not be conducting any future business with this retailer.
Dont let the sales team try to play with numbers like they tried to with me - trust me this sales team is a joke and attempts to hide numbers. Advertised price on new 2019 KLX was $4699 - total out the door price was $6,139.75 - what a joke! How can you try to add on over 30% to advertised price?? Thats not normal at all...
Nice motorcycle shop need to have more motorcross gear....
Jeremy F. Earned Powersports of Greenville a 5 star review. I went in for something simple and due to previous experiences at other shops I expected there to be some sort of issue or hassle. Jeremy was an absolute delight and didnt bat an eye to offer help. He was extremely kind, quick, and professional. More people need to be like Jeremy. Because of him I will always bring my bike in for servicing at your center. Jeremy has certainly earned a loyal customer. Thanks man!!!
Jerry was very sweet and helped us with my boyfriends handles and air in his tire! Been very helpful and kind everytime we come over here, i appreciate all you all do!
There is a reason that these guys have been here since the 50s. Great local bike shop and dealer. Theyll give you an honest upfront answer on just about everything. You get what you pay for and I trust them with my bike, my life on said bike, and my kids safety riding with me. That says leagues and volumes about them.
Would like to do business, but bike is too old for service dept. When in the store to pick up some parts for my bike, I mentioned that Id be interested in getting some service work done, but was informed that my 1996 Shadow was too old and they didnt work on anything 10 years or older. Never heard that one before, but I guess business is so good they can turn down potential customers and/or service work on a bike that they are a licensed dealer for. Too bad because theres definitely a need for good motorcycle repair shops in the area.UPDATE:The day after the original post, I received a call from the service manager. (He must have gotten my phone number through my Google account info). He spent over 20 minutes on the phone with me and was concerned with the 2 star rating I originally posted. He explained his policy of not working on older bikes and I can see his position considering most 10+ year old bikes sometimes arent really worth the amount of work that is required to repair them. For instance- After explaining the issues Ive been having with my bike and all the things Ive already tried to do to fix it myself, we determined that my bike might potentially need $1500 worth of engine work, but its only worth $2500, so Id have to decide if I wanted to proceed- (most people wouldnt). On the flip side, I feel that people with older bikes should not be excluded from getting their bikes serviced by a licensed dealer just because of the age of the machine. Not a very good way to reward people for their longstanding brand loyalty. At any rate, Ive upgraded my rating to 4 stars due to the genuine concern shown by the management and their willingness to reach out to get the problem resolved. Seems like they truly want to keep a good reputation and are willing to go out of their way to keep customers happy. Thats what I look for in a business and is too uncommon today.
I’ve been in Powersports a few times throughout the past five or six years and as of late wonder how they are still in business. Not looking for a pressure sales tactic, but a hello and acknowledgment that I’m there would be nice. Never was approached by anyone to see if I was interested in taking a closer look at anything. Will buy elsewhere.
Small inventory but nice equipment
Caleb and the other guys here were great! Excellent customer service here, everyone treats you like an old friend. They made the whole process of buying easy for a first time rider, and they had a lot of different options available. Highly recommended!
I have bought a bike here and got a great deal. No hassle employees. Very knowledgeable service center.
Never have your motorcycle or ATV serviced here . Got a 5 star price and a negative 5 star star service. They raked me over the coals!!!... back brakes are totally dismissed and didnt put back together what was taken apart. Guys, I recommend taking your service needs elsewhere!!
