I love this place. I remember when they were in the mall way back in the day. Love the folks who work there. Always cheerful and ready to help. If they dont have something, they are willing to order it for you. Super knowledgeable and friendly. They also revamped their discount system so its much more streamlined.

BY FAR THE BIGGEST GAME SELECTION I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! Being in Anderson now there is a game shop but this place is 4x bigger with 3 separate game areas, a game library, and snacks available. They were very helpful on my journey to find Dice.I ended up with I believe 10 -12 new sets of dice. Definitely going to be a new go to spot for games. I even ended up with a large set of dice that came in its own wooden box, very nice selection of games, dice, and accessories.

Even games that will challenge you knowledge and understanding of Life, The Universe, and Everything! If you are a beginner at gaming, they have a friendly, knowledgeable staff that will help you find a game that is right for you.

They are nice and Kind People in there and They Gave me a Free Playmat and they Have Cardfight Vanguard deck and Booster packs as well.

Hands Down the best place in the upstate to buy MTG Singles. Their entire MTG inventory is listed on their website. You can order online and pick up at the store. They also offer competitive values for trade-ins and you can see the itemized line-by-line view of what you got for each card on their website. I really like the transparency! At a lot of shops, you have to spend hours looking through card binders to find what youre looking for (or end up realizing they dont have it), but NOT at Boardwalk. Their website and extensive selection is a true gift to the MTG community in upstate SC!

Brennan has terrible customer service and isn’t knowledgeable on sports cards. He doesn’t know how to speak to customers and will make sure to not recommend this place to anyone looking for friendly staff and fair pricing. Brennan should not be a worker at this establishment and things would have went a lot smoother

Boardwalk is a great local game store. The staff go out of their way to greet each person. I have been given many recommendations based on my interests and game mechanics I enjoy. The selection is great ranging from puzzles to the hottest new games and even some kickstarters and hard to find options. People are friendly and now greet me by name. When I have wanted something that wasn’t available, they worked with the distributor to special order games and accessories. Boardwalk has a reward/membership program and it’s an easy recommendation that provides a discount that will pay for itself. They also have Magic and Pokémon cards if that’s your thing. I can’t say enough good about this store!

I pre-ordered here back in March items that came out in August and October. Very disappointing they messed up both pre orders and I am not able to get anything that I had ordered. Like the store and the prices are great. Disappointing that they can not manage their pre-orders better.

I just adore this store! Its difficult to find board game stores these days with all the electronics, but this place has it all. They have board games, puzzles, and decks of cards (and Im a collector of artistic decks, so that had me sold). They also have a game library where you can try out some of the games before you purchase them and I never know whether Ill actually like a game or not. As if the store isnt nice enough alone, the staff are super friendly. Just all around great place.

Great place to buy board games, card games, etc. They even help you find a new game based on what you and your group like! Only missing that last star because they are more expensive than online. I buy local to support most of the time but its still frustrating to be looking at Amazon for reviews and see price differences...

Wife and I purchased a copy of Catan Cities and Knights that was missing a knight token from here. We returned to the store the next day to try and purchase one from the small bin that they have for spare pieces. They did not have one and we live out of town in Georgia. The lady there opened a brand new box and gave us the token we were missing and said she would take it up with the company herself. We also received a military discount on our purchase which was fantastic. Its a really nice store with fantastic customer service that is welcoming and cheerful and knowledgeable about many of the games. Whole heartedly recommend this store to anyone who enjoys board games, puzzles, darts, Dungeons and Dragons, and much more.

A local reccomended this place while we were at a card tournament. We are so glad we came through. Right away we were greeted and helped by employees. Helping give a general idea of what the games were like and helping us locate particular sets. Eventually we had so much stacked they offered to hold it for us while we continued to browse their selection. Their prices are really amazing, way cheaper than if you were to go to barnes and nobles. We will certainly be back when we are in town again

I went for the first time Saturday and will be back soon. The staff was very friendly and willing to help me find something for my child. I can`t wait to go back with my wife and look for some great family games and some for us and our friends.

Boardwalk is a great place to buy any board games, tabletop games, card games, or darts. The staff is very helpful and the store itself is set up very nicely. They have a year long discount program that you can get for $10 and it saves you 10% on any purchases made in that year. I highly recommend.

Found a new game to play during the pandemic. Staff was very knowledgeable and willing to help. I loved that they have a hand sanitizer table as soon as you enter and they advise everyone to put some sanitizer in before shopping. Also, everyone had masks on.

The staff can take you straight to whatever product youre looking for. They are very knowledgeable and great at making recommendations based on the kind of game (# of players, format, genre, difficulty, time to play) you are looking for. All my visits have been snappy and successful.

Great board game and card shop for family games or being a nerd. Great selection of DnD content and dice too. They dont have a huge selection of magic singles but its decent. Sadly I dont think there are any game nights going on right now because of the pandemic but Im really excited to go to them.

It is a nice place, well organized, with on par prices. The problem I have with the store when the ladies pretty much jump right on you about sanitizing your hands. The hand sanitizer very strong fragrance that would not wash off my hands after numerous attempts. This fragrance also caused skin irritation on me and my two daughters. They are getting one star because I am dealing with rash on my skin because of the hand sanitizer they used. They need to use fragrance free. Made the experience very unpleasant. I will never return again!

Great place to find board games and RPGs.

Great customer relations and interactions. One of the employees had a conversation with a child that was rather humourous about different anime characters and star wars characters. I never felt out of place as a father never felt the stranger danger feeling with the staff interacting with kids.

Boardwalk is my favorite game store. The selection is amazing.The staff is kind and can help you find and discover new games. Went looking for bridge sized cards and found what I was looking for.

First off, I am a full blown geek. I have always wanted a local game store to call home and I final found it. I had found a game called heroclix and was highly interested in it. I checked 3-4 game stores and this was the only one. After I walked in I looked around and was blown away by the selection of every game you could ever want. After I asked the staff about the game, the nicest lady took me to the back and introduced me to the regulars. Every single person was so nice and knowledgeable about the game. I was blown away by the scene of community. Many even offered to give me figures to start playing. Thank you to Boardwalk for everything that you are doing, and to all of my future mentors and opponents at Boardwalk, prepare for war.

You won’t find better people that know games than the people at Boardwalk! Whether your looking for a new game to play at home, or a few fellow gamers to play a game with, this is your place! I go here for MtG cards. Their system is better organized than any other card shop in the area and it’s available online! They also run events for MtG and other TCG games like Pokémon. Support your local stores! The store is worth just going to talk to the employees about games their playing and what’s new in the game world!As a side note, the place is always spotless, including the bathrooms. Their play area isn’t huge, but there is usually a table open and someone willing to play a game with you!

Went to the store looking for a new board game and the owner showed us multiple games that he recommended. We picked 7 wonders to try. The owner setup the game for us and walked us through the game as we played. That was the most helpful thing ever in playing a new game. Having a game master explain everything to you during the game play and making sure you understand the rules. After we played through one game and loved it. We bought the game and came home to play again. Cant thank Boardwalk enough for helping us out.

They have a very nice setting with tables were you can test drive new games or just play old games. Great variety of dices, card games and expansions. They even sell awesome gaming tables.

While their demo game selection isnt super huge, they have enough games available to try out. We decided to try two games we had been wanting to check out, Patchwork and Lanterns - both really fun!Where these guys probably make their money is from sales. They have seriously every game under the sun. We enjoyed browsing through their merchandise. Wonderful selection.

Fantastic selection of magic products with far better prices than tangled web. The staff was super helpful and not to mention knowledge.

My friend and I actually had an issue with this place and didnt go in for several months. When we did go in to grab something due to it being available no where else we were greeted by name and the staff apologized for the issue we had before. It was actually quite nice, and shows that Boardwalk is really in it for the long haul. I would highly recommend, and if you ever have issue Im sure the staff and owner will work it out to your satisfaction if you give them a chance!

These guys go above and beyond for their customers. A few months ago, we bought an unopened game. But when we got home, we discovered some of the game pieces were missing. This was clearly a problem with the manufacturer, but Boardwalk opened another box and shipped the pieces to us. We were visiting from out of state, and they shipped something to us, free of charge. You just dont find this kind of service too often, anymore

Pretty good magic card prices for buying and selling. They have a really nice selection of sleeves. Play space is a little small. Staff is generally attentive.

Its an ok place for board games and cards. Small space and the layout could be better. A backroom for playing games is nice but another 2 or 3 tables in the section of the store where the shelves are stocked for things to sell is quite annoying as it makes it a hassle to even look at what else they might have.Pricing could be better, particularly for the smaller items like D20s. Better off ordering online elsewhere.

Best board game/trading card game shop in the upstate. They even have tournaments for magic the gathering and pokemon. It is always a good time when you go and you will get to meet some awesome people while you are there for a tournament. This will always be my go to shop when playing in tournaments. The tangled web in spartanburg could learn a thing or two from this shop.

There are a couple game stores in the upstate but I think this is the nicest by far. Their Magic tourneys are more laid back then the ultra competitive stores and the staff is always friendly. They have a very good selection and a discount program thats saved me a lot of money over the years Ive shopped there.
