Majority of produce in his store is not local or fresh, but from terminal markets that are refrigerated and picked several days to weeks ago from other parts of the country. High prices and congested service. Owner is rude and is a piece of work. No wonder he doesn’t sell produce from local growers. He’s a rude picky man that’s a pain to work for and with! Bless those employees who work there.

I Spoke with the owner before driving to the store, asking how much she would charge for a bushel of tomatoes for canning. She told me she could not give me that price over the phone. Upon arrival I asked if there were bushels of tomatoes for sale for canning. I was shown where there were boxes of tomatoes and told to look through and remove any that were spoiled. The owner approach me, in process, and told me I was not allowed to remove the spoiled tomatoes. I did not understand the logic and told her I was only removing the rotten produce from each from the box so I could replace it with unspoiled. I was told that was not allow, so I left the store.

Great produce and service!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants quality farm to table foods to serve to their family!! It was super busy while I was there, but I was in and out in no time, and I got the best customer service from lady there named Deanna! She was knowledgeable about what they had in stock and was friendly and helpful!

Cucumbers taste fresh. Grapes are big, juicy and sweet. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Came in for the second time & last time to get some of my favorite items, while headed to the register my grandmother came in with my #5 year old(who obviously doesn’t understand what no public restroom means). I’m totally compliant and understanding with these situations because of others actions, I’m also perfectly ok with it!!! What bothered me was the young lady at the register who made it an Apparent problem...”our boss don’t allow people to use the restroom “. One employee said yes one says no!! If my grandmother wasn’t a fan of the ox tails I would’ve left EVERYTHING!!! Everyone should be on the same page!! Maybe getting a key would resolve this problem especially for paying customers who are willing to travel pass a 1000 other stores to shop here!!**** Side note the bathroom was DISGUSTING

Fresh veggies and fruit and more at great prices

Love the tomatoe vine. We go there every week and they have everything we need and more. The guys there are just precious and love talking with them.

Good first then the bad. They do have good fruit an vegetables most the time. Although today the celery was limp and the boiled peanuts looked as if they added fresh ones to some already cooked ones in the crock. They have signs saying that they practice social distancing. Yet cashiers dont wear mask and are 2 to 3 feet in front of you while checking you out.

Great place to shop for fresh vegetables, fruits, chow chow, pickled tomatoes ect.

I was so happy to find The Tomato Vine, thanks to a golfing friend. The fruits and veggies are much fresher than the large grocery stores in the area, and you can pick out just what you want. The local berries, melons, peaches and heirloom tomatoes are the best! The addition of The Shrimp Man twice a week is fabulous!!!

Have been coming here for years. Some of the best and freshest produce to be found. Tell all of my friends...thank goodness for GPS because Im not that good with directions.

Such a great place for just about anything. Beautiful fruits and vegetables. It was my 1st visit there but it will definitely not be my last.I see many visits in my future. Loved it!

This store is known for its good produce at good prices, but a few other eclectic features should be highlighted. It has a large selection of ingredients for Latin American cuisine, such as agave and cactus leaves, and many varieties of peppers. It also carries Blenheim ginger ale and raw milk. Unfortunately, the pecan cracker has been sold off. I live in the neighborhood and have been shopping here since it was a small seasonal produce stand.

We went here yesterday. We got fresh green beans $1.29, fresh okra, turnips, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, corn, strawberries, and a few other things for under $20. Great selection of sweet potatoes and peaches. Friendly service, handicapped accessable and plenty of parking. Debit and credit cards are accepted.

The lady that helped me was awesome. Being a caregiver can get wacky but I wouldnt have it any other way.

Love the place but today they where out of so much. People kept asking. It was said when the truck gets here, it will be here. The employees where a little short with the customers. Understand being busy right before a holiday, but they needed more than 2 employees. I needed some other stuff but gave up.

We love the Tomatoe Vine. Its always full of good fruits and vegetables and has so many other goodies that arent available anywhere else!

Called to check on availability of fresh cabbage, who ever answered the phone was rude and actually said she couldnt tell anyone any prices over the phone, if you want to know how much something cost, you have to come to our store,,, LOL, WOW !!!!! Not gonna drive from other side of Greer for that, Ill head to Hendersonville first,,,glad Im NOT your customer,,,

We have been going to the Tomato Vine for years. They have a great selection of SC Certified produce and this is THE place to get tomatoes. Older building and thats OK because it really is an overgrown roadside produce market. The folks that work there are helpful and friendly. The prices on their produce usually come in below what you pay at the big grocery stores. They have a huge selection of locally produced honey, too. Give them a try.

The place was packed with only ONE cashier working. There were at least 15 people in line waiting behind me. Poor cashier. Poor customers.

This is a gem hidden on what seems like a side road close to Furman University! Loved being able to pick up some beautiful pumpkins and fresh produce! Such a neat place to send my clients that are relocating to the area! Much better than the standard grocery store! LOVE fresh ingredients!

Great vegetables and fruits at lowest prices. In the winter they have lots of nuts and different candies. Wonderful place to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables of all types, especially if you want to save money. A super variety of everything and the best country ham selection in town! There is always someone there willing to share how they cook up collards or black-eye peas or other specialties. So glad its in my neighborhood.

I have never been here, but the owner wanted to shoot a stray dog that came in to his place for relief from the heat. That to me speaks volumes. I will never ever give this place my business. If you are an animal lover do not give this place the time of day. Plenty of other great produce places around. Heartless owner! 😡

The best vegetable stand in Berea. It has va large variety of produce, pickles, jams and sauces. Today they had kiwi fruit. I looked in all the regular stores and they had none. The Tomato Vine also had Lite Zucchini. Great finds.

3 bags full for less than $15! Great prices. Good quality and selection! And so convenient to my house! Ill be back!

Fresh vegetables straight from the garden! The watermelons are sweet,they come in seeds and seedless. They have homemade preserves and honey. Come on in and stop by.

Just left there after many visits, and again experienced the terribly RUDE MAN that runs or owns this glorified produce stand. Every time I go, it is always the same. Their produce is quite expensive, often not ripe enough, and you better not have a question because the man running it is very offensive and has been very RUDE to me more than once.They are always short handed and it is no wonder! The RUDE man is very rude to his workers too, as I also just experienced! The way he talks to his workers is unacceptable!I will NEVER return!

Excellent roadside style farmers market that carries a lot of stuff you cant find anywhere else. Also it now takes cards (for a fee). Great place to pick up seasonal holiday stuff also (pumpkins, gourds, hay, etc.).

Very fresh produce at really good prices, often (if not always) below grocery store prices. They always have a great variety of produce, and other offerings such as ethnic culinary ingredients. You owe it to yourself to at least go by and see.

This a great place to go for homey, southern canned things like pickled peaches, jams and jellies, local honey and such. They have tastey local produce and usually some meats and cheeses too. In the front corner away from the registers theres a section for ugly fruit thats always cheaper and you get better deals when you pay with cash (theres always a charge to use a card).

It wasnt worth the time. They had alot of emptyShelves. What they did have was covered with flies. So, many flies that even after washing I still dont think I could bring myself to eat anything from there. The only reason I give it one star is because I have to. Otherwise I cant post my review.

This is the only place I come for my vegetables. The prices are well within reason. And I like I get to choose what I want in my bag. Not a store with prepackaged produce where you have to take what they chose. Produce is always fresh. And if you dont mind a few flaws they have an ugly section where the price is reduced.
