I made a purchase online from City Arsenal. The purchase was easy and efficient and the product shipped quickly. It showed up at my door as advertised much quicker than I was anticipating and cheaper than the estimated shipping cost. I will be checking out their website for future purchases.

I can’t say enough about City Arsenal and their staff. I bought my first AR-15 here today, and the staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all questions about my purchase. They even installed the scope that I purchased for it. There are other stores in the Greenville area that won’t take the time to help you, nor answer questions for you, but not this place. City Arsenal will now be the only store that I use for gun and accessory purchases. A huge thank you to the staff here!

This is an update on the pervious review I just took their Dynamic Pistol course and man was it amazing!!! Johannes and Tillmon were outstanding instructors. I am looking forward to all other classes that they put out. If you haven’t taken this class yet book it now you will not regret it I promise.Today was my first experience with City Arsenal and I was extremely impressed. I was told to come to this store by the customer service representative I worked with from Daniel Defense and I am sure glad that he did .When I walked in I was greeted and asked how I could be helped and how my day was going. There are few gun stores that I have interacted with that have treated me this way. After telling Bill who I later found out to be the manager and owner what I was looking for he (Bill) proceeded to tell me things about Daniel Defense that I did not know. We had what I felt to be a great conversation about everything from my interest in adding a suppressor to the rifle down the road to the proposed Pistol Brace ban. As I was checking out I found out that they had folding stocks adapters and even tho they were bussie they installed it for me. Its is the simple things that keep a customer coming back and the fact that they did this for me made me a fan. I will say that the people that I interacted with were professional and knowledgeable. I will tell you that it is well worth the trip I will be getting my suppressor through them hands down and no questions asked. To sum this all up great prices, wonderful staff, great selection of fire arms, parts and accessories.

Ordered a EOTECH G45 magnifier from City Arsenal. Item arrived with several very small scratches on the lens. The screw package was also opened and the mounting area where the screws go showed signs of screws being installed and uninstalled. This was supposably a new magnifier but it appears to have been a floor model/demo or at least have been mounted onto the switch-to-side mount and perhaps even a firearm. Very disappointed with my first (and last) purchase from City Arsenal. I advise anyone to think twice about doing business with them unless you are able to check the item out in person prior to purchase.

Me and my husband took the CWP training taught by Travis Nelson at City Arsenal. I recommend any one interested in getting a CWP license to please do this under Travis’s instruction. He is friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely cares about motivating the public to use guns safely.

This is the best range in town...IMHO. The new ownership has put a lot of work into this range and it is very impressive. I called ahead and told them I would be bringing a large group and Beth asked when I would be there so that she could make sure there was enough staff. I took my German in laws and Johannes spoke German with them and made them feel right at home. They have a great selection of weapons to shoot and their people do a great job walking you through how use them so that you are comfortable and safe. They do not make you feel like an idiot if you are not a gun expert. I was very surprised to see a very diverse group of people while I was in there. Young, old, different countries and races were all in there and the staff was very professional and friendly with everyone. You don’t always see that. The lanes are a little tight but not unmanageable. The prices are not the lowest in town but they are what you would expect from a top notch range. Every time I take friends or family to this range everyone walks away with smiles on their faces. Highly recommend and will return many more times.

I’ve been here a dozen times or so. Taken my CWP class here, shoot at the range and purchase ammo. They’re very helpful, always ready and willing to help and customer service is outstanding.

Bought a MK18 upper online before their store opened. The order was completed within minutes of their store opening and was shipped the same day. I got the item in 2 business days. It was a fast and easy transaction. Will definitely do business with City Arsenal again.

In SC on holiday from New Zealand. First time at a gun range. Staff were awesome and professional. Being absolute rookies, they made everything seem easy. Definitely want to come back soon!

It was my second time on a shooting range in the US and it was awesome again. We were four guys and we chose two automatic guns, two pistols and one shotgun. Together round about 400 rounds of ammo and all this for just 270$. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The registration goes fast. It’s a great place to spend time together with friends. And the choice of weapons is bigger here than at some other locations.

Ordered a pistol on Thursday around 10am. Within about 10 minutes, I had received confirmation from City Arsenal. Within about 2hours, I had received a confirmation from my FFL. About two hours after that, received confirmation from the shipping company. Received a call from my FFL about 4 hour drive from City Arsenal on Friday at 11am that the pistol was ready to be picked up. 26 hours from pressing the order button to we are waiting on you to pick up is awesome. Other than Half Price Fridays, cant ask for much better than that.

Great place to go. I have never had a bad experience and the staff knows their stuff! Recent purchase was on a silencer and they helped me choose the best one for my weapon. They took the time to discuss the pros/cons of the silencer etc. Very knowledgeable and made me feel confident that I made the right choice. Would recommend City Arsenal for anyone who is looking for a great place to shoot indoors. Lots of different options and the staff is not slack regarding safety in their business.

I purchased several aftermarket parts for a Glock 17 to have installed. After calling around to multiple people I was greeted by Tillman over the phone. Very polite, knew the information I needed (time frame etc); and upon dropping all items off, was very pleasurable. Tracy also assisted in store and was very much a pleasure. I received a phone call confirming work to be completed prior, and notifying me of completion well within the given time. I drove up from Georgia and a buddy drove down from North Carolina. This was about half way for the both of us. The staff was great. They greeted us and got everything done quickly so we could use the range. Hopefully in the near future we will be able to meet there again with a few more buddies. Semper Fi.

Staff was professional and amazing with my 13 year old ASD kid. Didnt feel rushed, even thought they were swamped on a Friday. Each staff member took their time and made sure we had exactly the guns we felt comfortable with. Everyone treated my son like a peer, which enhanced his experience. Had a great time shooting here on Wednesday and it never hurts to have specials like Women free on Wednesday!!! Very clean, well maintained, lanes are great with no obstacles, and, wonderful staff. If you just want to practice or just to have fun, this is better than a golf course and certainly the greatest place to go!

I walked in today and was not greeted. Walked around for 10 minutes and no one asked if I needed any help. 2 other people walked in and got help right a way. I was prepared to spend over $1000 right then but my money will go somewhere with some proper customer service

I have been shooting all my life but this was my first time at an indoor range. Took the CWP class from Johannes, who was excellent. Staff showed me various handguns during the breaks, discussing the pros and cons of each. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Great place for a family. Highly recommend.

I have been shooting here for about 8 years now and have always felt very comfortable with this range. I feel that the employees are mindful of the people shooting here and thus make it a safe environment for enjoying a day at the range.The training courses that are offered are taken seriously to ensure that you have the knowledge needed to safely handle a firearm and have the confidence required to handle your weapon in a controlled atmosphere such as the range or the real world.

City Arsenal is by far the best place to shoot in the upstate. The service is excellent, with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The selection of quality guns and accessories is great, and the membership deal is a great value as well. Definitely worth a visit for gun enthusiasts as well as people just getting into the sport.

Without a doubt, this is the best indoor range in Greenville. What they lack in physical size is more than made up for by the most important aspect-quality customer service, friendly helpful staff, and a safe environment. As a first timer purchasing a hand gun for personal protection I went to Palmetto arms first thinking that a bigger store would give me better service. After 3 minutes my wife and I walked out totally overwhelmed. When we entered Allen Arms we were greeted immediately and given great service from not just one but all of the staff that was present that day. They were very knowledgeable about everything that was on display and went way above and beyond explaining to my wife and I the details of every gun we were looking at. When we were not sure about what size we wanted they allowed us to shoot several different guns from their rental cabinet. I was so impressed I bought two guns and a lot of other accessories. They were never pushy towards selling anything but instead listened to what were looking for and suggested what would work. Great great experience. I will return! Actually going to use my free range pass tomorrow. I wish I knew their names but thank you everyone.

Black people get watched very closely in this place. I dont like that. I couldnt even make my purchase because I was so uncomfortable in this place. Why dont they hire some black people? City Arsenal is my go to place! I travel all over the country for my job and have all my firearm purchases sent back to them. The staff is incredible! This is one of the few gun stores where they are actually there to help and egos are checked at the door. From beginner to advanced shooters, this place has what you need.

Great place with great people that work there. I am new to the area but they made me feel at home. They take the time to answer all your questions. If you need to take a class for your CWP, take it there. The class for the CWP was given exceptionally well with a high focus on safety. I plan on having my fiancé take some classes there in the future. They always have sales going on. I obtained all of my personal defense Items for my home from them while they were on sale. No other place I researched had comparable prices to there sales items. Also Membership rates are very low.

If you sign up for the CWP class and you get Mark please be prepared to stay longer than the 8-5 class schedule. I passed the class, because although very long winded, Mark was very knowledgeable, but the class didn’t end until 630.

This place sucks for the most part. The staff is hit or miss if your going to get a well educated nice spoken person, not to take away from the good ones, they are there. The range fees are great if you shoot by yourself and use there dirt ammo. But if you have your ammo and more than one person they hit you with a $5 fee per person fee for using your ammo (4 people = $20) plus range fee of $10 per person. 1 round or 1000 its 5 bucks a person.They sell reloads that are crap and just gum up your guns for target ammo. They are a little greedy to say the least. I would say they need to stop sucking up every penny they can and listen to there customers. Anytime I have had a complaint I was treated very hustle and like I was the enemy. I always kill people with kindness so my approach should not have set the conversations in that direction. And if you bring up a competitor and how they do business your really asking for it. They are accustom to having no one else to compete with which makes them hard to talk to and to change for the better of there customer base. Which I might add is one less.

I absolutely love this store! I bought my first pistol from Allen Arms about a month ago. They were super friendly and walked me through the whole process. The costumer service is some of the best ever. I will gladly pay asking price for any of their products and services. As long as I am remotely close they have a costumer for life. Keep it up guys!

We held a department team building event at City Arsenal (formerly Allen Arms) and could not be happier. The service was excellent and they worked with our group, comprised of first-time shooter to experienced veterans, to ensure everyone had a fun, safe experience. Good range facilities and competitive prices on range time, guns, and ammunition.

For my money, there are two places I will buy firearms and accessories. Allen Arms and Traders Gun Shop. Allen Arms is a great place to shoot. Sometimes they are quite busy on the weekends, especially during these hysterical times for their industry.I have made several purchases and trades and have always found them very fair and easy to work with. I suppose some of these negatives could have been on visits during very busy hours. It happens, but overall this is one of the best two gun shops in town, and the best indoor range.

This place is the greatest very helpful and knowledgeable staff great advice and dont just want your money they car about your purchase in the point of you knowing what you actually want and not just like. They offer classes and will answer all questions they can. They offer layaway and always have deals each month

I wanted to take my grandson shooting for the first time, and I couldnt have picked a better place than City Arsenal!As soon as we walked in we received a friendly, sweet cold nose greeting from Gracie the black lab, a real sweetie. Followed closely by Rick, who welcomed us, walked my grandson and I through the drill, and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. No macho gun culture here, more like family and I appreciated that. My grandson had a ball and is still texting photos of his targets to all his friends.Thank you again Rick for the kind personal attention, Johan for taking my money (hey, someone has to do it!), and Bill, the owner. If you notice Bill takes the time to reply to every review here which told me a lot about what I thought I would find at City Arsenal, and I was right. A friendly, fun, helpful place. If you’re looking to get your CWP, City Arsenal is a great place to get it. If possible, book a class with Skip. Skip is an outstanding instructor and really does a great job of making sure you understand what you need to know.

Didnt know they changed the name but doesnt matter cause this place is the best hands down! Havent been in awhile because I moved to Lyman but definitely going back have a couple new builds to test out . The staff is A1 in my book got my cwp with Skip who is great at what he does and very knowledgeable. Long story short this is where you need to be for all your shooting needs.

These negative reviews puzzle me. I have been there maybe 15 times over the past 3 years, and for the most part my experiences have been very good. I wish it were closer to my home. With one exception the staff has been very friendly, and I suspect he was just having a bad day. He is never talkative. (If you go in with a chip on your shoulder, maybe they can sense it). As to pricing, remember that there is a huge investment here! Their range ammo is not the best but it is reasonably priced, they do HAVE it, and am willing to pay the $5 fee for bringing my own. As for the gun pricing, they do include free range sessions with purchase (and I was once told the amount of that is negotiable). If you want the absolute cheapest price go to Academy where the customer service is non-existent, and the selection is limited to what is on hand (Academy doesnt special order). If you have issues with the safety rules, PLEASE go where I am not!

The lanes are not bad, but not climate controlled, so if its hot, be prepared to sweat.There is a $5 service charge for using your own ammo - I could not find this on the website anywhere, so I was a little disappointed.Overall I paid $16 & change for about an hour of shooting, which was alright. I just hate when there are hidden fees.Staff is friendly and gun selection is pretty decent as well. Not the greatest experience, but not the worst!

Not sure the deal with all the negative reviews because I and some friends have shot at AA at least a dozen times since the first of March and have enjoyed our times there. We went through the CWP class and used our free range time and not one time did we have to wait for a lane. Each time we have visited we have been promptly greeted and taken care of. A female friend of mine did have one not so positive experience, but nothing major. I have no problem recommending anyone shoot there. Their ammo prices are decent for the stuff they offer.

Been coming here since it before it was even City Arsenal and its still the best indoor range in Greenville. Friendly staff, good selection of firearms if you want to rent, and great prices (especially if you bring your own ammo).
