I dropped off a vintage brass 3-way mogul floor lamp and an antique porcelain figurine table lamp - both had not worked in years. Once I picked the lamps up and got home, I realized there was an issue so I immediately called Jennifer. She took every step under the sun to make it right! Too bad all business owners dont possess her integrity and willingness to satisfy customers. Now I bask in the light of my elegantly rewired lamps. So know that if you decide to do business with Lamps Etcetera (you really should!), the store owner will make sure you walk away pleased with her work. A++
I needed some lamp parts and found them here. Actually I was sent here by a Home Depot clerk who couldnt find it the parts in their stock. They were quick and efficient to help me. Great service.
Love this shop, especially for modest prices on repair of your treasured fixtures and lamps. Extensive selection of fine shades: you WILL find your next shade here. Finials, decor designer bits and bobs, makes just browsing fun. Bring your mask or buy one of their fun cloth masks.
Jennifer makes this place great!!Always helpful and can fix just about anything thats a lamp!!
Friendly, locally owned shoppe with a very nice selection. I went for a replacement silk lampshade and based on my photos and dimensions they had the perfect match. Highly recommend.
I went for lampshades and was very pleased with the selection. I found what I needed, very good quality, all three that I bought. The proprietor was very knowledgeable and very helpful in finding the right sizes and appropriate styles. They sell nice lamps there and also do repairs. She even advised me on kinds of lightbulbs.
I came across this store to get a special lamp of mine repaired. The lamp was restored to new with great quality and craftsmanship. They offer a large selection of custom lamps and lampshades to choose from. A family owned business that cares about their customers is why they have been in business for over 25 years!! If you want a unique lamp that your friends will not have, you need to go there to add that finished touch to your home.
Went in to buy matching lampshades for a pair of lamps. Jennifer was on vacation; her father was covering for her, so I have little problem with his mistake. I walked out with two lampshades, two harps (probably not needed), and two finials. Got home, set up one lamp, put the other aside for a while - and imagine my surprise when I set up the second one, and found that the shades DID NOT MATCH! So I called, and took them back. Jennifer wasnt exactly rude, just totally disinterested, and searched very very slowly through her stock (which is totally disorganized, no wonder she couldnt find anything), and eventually produced a shade which she said was the same. It wasnt. It was half an inch higher (she said a quarter, but she was inaccurate) and a full inch wider at the top. I took it back. She went through the same laborious process of looking through her stock, which she seems unfamiliar with, as if she were an underpaid clerk, not the owner, and of course came up empty-handed. I suggested she either order another one that matched the first one, which I like, or give me my money back, and, with a faint suggestion of triumph, she refunded for the second shade. I then went to Rock House Antiques, on Maldin Rd., where they have a small internal shade shop, where I found beautifully organized stock, found two matching shades, and bought them from very pleasant and polite people, no problem. (Great antiques too...) So guess where I will never shop again? Guess where I will be going?
Pleasant staff a bit high priced though
Had a broken lamp repaired. Svc was quick and reasonably priced. Store is small but well stocked and interesting. Sales member was knowledgeable.

On top of clearly being ignorant, the woman running the store was the rudest I have ever experienced. My wife had visited the store originally to get a replacement harp and shade for ones that had been lost in a move. She had told my wife that we could only use a 60w bulb in an existing lamp and could not use a 3-way bulb in a lamp (that was factory-wired as a 3-way lamp) and sold her a shade and harp that would only fit a fan bulb. My wife wanted to use the lamp as a 3-way (again, the way it came from the factory) so we went to exchange the harp and shade for a larger ones. When we showed her the bulb we wanted to use, (a 3-way LED bulb that draws 18w max, as embossed on the bulb itself), she said I told your wife you cant use that bulb. I asked her why and she said “because its too high a wattage” (She never looked at the bulb closely, which shows the current draw on it). When I informed her it drew ~20w (much lower current than the 60w bulb she recommended), she said “well I guess you know more than me, dont you?” and “do you want to set your house on fire”. I bit my tongue and didnt say a word. She told us our option was to use the lamp the way she wanted or return the parts she sold us and try to find somebody else to help us, saying that nobody honest would do so. I told her we would return her parts then. She then got very petty itemizing little things that she had included (like a collar around the socket) and tried to make a big deal out of it (“I gave your wife this for free but now I want it back”) but the funny thing is we were fine with that. We even gave her something back that she didnt realize she had given us but even then she was argumentative. The icing on the cake was when she told my wife youre very pleasant to deal with, but you have to live with your husband. Mind you, the sum total of what I had said at this point was why not? but this bulb only draws 20w and I guess well return it. Clearly this woman, who doesnt know what an LED is, was offended that I dare question her wisdom. On top of all that, their selection of shades was very small. I can see of no reason to shop at this store when there are other options. Despite wasting our time and being wrong, we would have accepted the refund as a fair solution and walked away if she hadnt been so rude, but I feel compelled to share the experience nowKnowledge - 1 starInventory/selection - 1 starCustomer service - 0 starsPS, just to verify, I explained the situation to an electrician to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. I wasn’t. This woman was just flat out wrong (in addition to rude).
Fixed a lamp quickly and for free...plus a replacement shade..helpful,nice,affordable.
The new owner is charming! Informative as to my options, excellent service. Thank you!
This lady is the rudest woman I have ever dealt with. She is a complete smart aleck and very unprofessional. She doesnt deserve any business. She needs to retire. We ended up at Gallery of Lighting.and the is a man there that does lamp restoration. The entire staff there is refreshing compared to this old hag.
Very friendly staff. I always use them for lamp repairs. They also sell lamps and accessories.
