AVOID-AVOID-AVOID. Terrible customer service. Scheduled a hitch to be installed. I had a confirmation email with the date and time. When I brought my van in they told me my reservation wasnt until the next day. After arguing with them to get the hitch put on, they then said they couldnt find my hitch and wanted to reschedule me for 2 weeks later. Very RUDE people.

A lot of the other 1-star reviews are spot on - this location has some serious issues. My wife and I moved to Greenville and utilized the U-box service. Our boxes got down here on April 14th, two days after we did. I spent hours on hold every day trying to schedule a delivery time and opened multiple chats to try and get it scheduled. I was kicked out out chats for being idle while waiting for a representative and the line was disconnected nearly every time whenever I called. I managed to finally get some help through a chat two days ago and was able to get a delivery window set up (from 12 PM to 10 PM... not exactly helpful). I even called this morning and spent more time on hold just to confirm everything and was told we were the past delivery of the day, scheduled for 4PM... Still nothing. Mind that this is almost EVERYTHING we own that we have been without for 2 weeks. Today is the guaranteed delivery day of our original contract but we do not have high hopes and are waiting to see how this goes. I would try calling but I still get disconnected every time so Im not sure what to do.

Drive up here to get propane tank filled and sign on door says “No Propane”. Yes I tried to call ahead but they don’t answer the phone. From other reviews I wonder if they were indeed out of propane, which to me seems like poor management, or they just don’t feel like dealing with it, which is again poor management…

Like many others have said, terrible service. No one answers the phone. I always get pushed through to the corporate call center and they cant even get anyone to answer the phone. I tried calling ahead to confirm everything was correct before driving an hour to get car wired for trailer lighting. The guy finally calls me after I had made the trip to tell me they didnt have the part I need in stock. The worst part is, he told me they would reschedule for later in the week. Never got a call and they even charged my credit card for work that hasnt been done! Now I have to waste my time getting the charge off of my card on top of the wasted gas driving to a useless appointment. This is the second time in a row something like this has happened at this location. Please save yourself the misery and do not do business with them.

Horrible service tried calling 3-4 times with no answer. So finally I decided to drive here to try and get some propane tanks filled. Once I arrive I get met by a person who is not particularly friendly who tells me no one in the store is certified to dispense propane. So the question is why list it on your website and have a propane tank if you have nobody that works here that can dispense it except a manager. The kicker is they tell me to drive 15 more minutes down the road to the next U-Haul store since they will be able to help me. since they aren’t completely useless like this location. Well turns out I drive another 15 minutes and get the exact same story at this new location. The assistant manager says well I haven’t gotten around to taking the class yet and nobody can dispense propane here either. Not trust worthy or helpful in any way. I do not recommend them.

Came in for my appointment at 8am and was told your appointment is tomorrow. Pulled up my email that showed today’s date. Told by sherraka the mgr someone must have changed it. We can’t do it today.No let me see what we can do no let work a discount out for your inconvenience nothing.She goes to the back and states. The hitch hasn’t arrived. Yet from fedex anyway I placed the order two weeks ago to be scheduled on my day off!!!!!!

The WORST!!!! Went there to rent a $7 dolly to move some boxes with my wife.. Although they charge a $65 deposit. Said they wouldnt rent without a 3rd contact Name, Adress, Phone, Email, Etc. WALKED OUT. Read the other reviews.....rude & inept is an understatement.

Do not do business with them.. i ordered a hitch for my Traverse to have it installed on June 25th. FedEx forgets to drop it off. The store doesnt care tells them Saturday is fine to deliver .. i told them I leave on Saturday. Who does this especially since I paid expedite ...

This place needs some serious attention. No one wants to help you, phones are ringing and no one to answer, waited over 30 minutes for someone to acknowledge me after letting an employee know I needed a propane tank filled. Horrible service.

I write this review as I am sitting at the location attempting to do the 24/7 pickup I reserved and verified multiple times, and have several emails confirming. However the reservation cannot be picked up because the 24/7 pickup doesn’t exist! So I call UHaul only to wait on hold for 10 minutes, only to waste the next 20 minutes going in circles with someone who just keeps telling me I cannot pick up the truck and I have to come back and 9 am and hopefully my truck will be available then, but that she cannot secure for me a truck now she can only cancel my reservation. Now, as someone who has rented the truck not for the entertainment value, but I because I have to MOVE HOUSEHOLDS TODAY, I am beyond frustrated with the fact UHaul has completely reneged on our rental contract and the fact the entire plan of how we are moving today before going back to work tomorrow is now ruined and hanging by the thread of hope that at 9 am the location will be open and we will be able to rent from UHaul. This is a complete disaster and I cannot strongly enough urge whoever is reading this review to NEVER RENT FROM THIS OR POTENTIALLY ANY UHAUL.

This location is the worst. Customer service is horrible. The two attendants are very rude. They overbook so you wont have what they promise unless you are lucky. Horrible customer service.

I was impressed, half of parking lot was under construction but staff did great. Made reservation on line. Counter was swamped at pick up but staff did an amazing job even dealing with rude customer. Drop off even better. Attendant greeted us promptly and had us out in less then 5 mins.

Called and ordered a trailer hitch for my wifes car. Went in on the day of our appointment, the store was very busy and understaffed. Was informed that the install guy was overbooked. We rescheduled got there and the installer was scheduled to be off. Rescheduled to today and got there pushed to second on the list. Then two hours late, they got the wrong hitch. The store is short staffed and super busy. Wont go back too bad, the installer was sincerely sorry.

Called to schedule an appointment to get a trailer hitch and have it installed. I was informed they were free from 2:30 to 6:00. Scheduled an appointment for 3:00. When I got there, I waited 30 minutes for the technician. Then he came and told me wed have to reschedule because he had other projects around the office he had to care of. The other 2 front desk employees were very unprofessional cussing up a storm while there were customers in the office. This was the exact opposite of good customer service. Steer clear of this location.

They failed to mention that breaking the seal on the doly cost an additional 7 dollars. I explained that we thought about it, but never used it. Charging 7 dollars for a dolly that is already in the truck seems like a swindle. Probably better to leave it out if it is not requested.The older gentleman when returning the truck was very slow and not very personable. Didnt feel like a good place that is honest and customer service oriented.Go to a different location if available

Jeff was such a great help! I came to him with less than 4 days till I moved and I needed a hitch. He explained everything to me and got me everything I needed. There a great team and all very helpful!

Staff is par for the course, showed me all the essentials. They have nice moving carts inside the actual storage buildings that help tremendously. Free month of storage for a one way U-Haul rental. Building is clean. Would recommend to a friend.

Go to a different U-Haul if you can. This place never seems to have it together, always short staffed, and seems to never be in any hurry to help customers. Stood outside in 90 degree weather for 30+ minutes waiting for propane. Eventually gave up.

Been deceived, charged for stuff that what we don’t need, waited triple more time what we have been promised. Hearing all these complains manager named jeff said 1 sentence : “ I don’t care about your time and money”Rude, unprofessional and unpolite employees they got.

Getto!!!! We where going to rent a trailer to haul tires. The lady behind the counter told us for a couple dollars more we could have the truck that just came back with 100 mile 99 cents for each mile after. We return and the bill starts out at 150. After arguing with the guy we get home call the bank and another 60 was taken for gas after they inspected it and signed off. The truck was dirty had a air leak in the front right tire plus it was on empty we had to get gas tire away....I an looking in to a law suit we got hustled period

Called several days ago to make sure they had the hitch and parts to install on my HHR. I was told the parts and all were there. Made an appointment toGet the hitch and wiring harness installed for today at 9am. Went in and first they could not find my appointment. Then after waiting for a while while the attendant went to the shed (no garage here) to see if the hitch was there, he come back in and informs me its not there. No explanation why. No clue. they just lost a $300 plus sale. Ill go elsewhere!

Will never visit this business again! Due to threat of rain, my son and I stopped by to rent a trailer in order to complete moving our furniture. Never have experienced a staff member using profanity towards a customer until this visit. While waiting to have a trailer hooked up to our vehicle, this employee decided to pull a trailer towards another car. My son asked, Do you have that man? --- He was actually offering to help pull the trailer. Employees answer included a F-bomb and attitude! Wish I had thought to get the employees name, but I was so shocked by his language!! Needless to say we left immediately, and they lost our business.

My Jeep had transmission issues while driving up from GA to visit my sister. Julian got me hooked up with the only truck they had for a 1-way rental, which was a 26 footer, and an auto hauler. He even helped me load the Jeep on the trailer and strap it down. Really super nice guy. Thank for you for helping make a bad situation a little bit better! Because of uhaul, me and my vehicle made it home that night. Now, the quality of the driving experience in the truck, that is a whole different story. The important thing is that I made it home.

Had appointment booked for a Saturday morning hitch install and trailer rental. Got a call on Friday afternoon, today stating that they probably now could not meet the time line they sold me on, using the reasoning that it is the end of month and he the installer will be pulled away to do other items. Installer did not talk to his manager to see if anything else could be done. Nice enough guy, but BS service. Will not use this location again. I will take my $400.00 elsewhere. I appreciate the call, I do not appreciate the un-dependability, when I had confirmed it could be done.

Never had trouble renting previously but Tammy needs to learn how to give better customer service when someone calls with questions.

We moved down here and had to put our stuff in a uhaul storage unit. They gave us a storage unit at the back by itself down a separate hall next to a bathroom. When we moved out stuff out and opened our boxes of clothes every single box smelled like sewage! Now we have been having to wash every single piece of clothing we own because our house smells of sewage. The amount of water and electricity we have to use is crazy. Oh ya my 4000 dollar tempurpedic smells of sewage too. Thanks uhaul thanks ah bunch.

Ordered wrong hitch for my car. After waiting for 3 hours I call to see if it’s ready and we were told yes. We get there and it’s not ready. Will never deal with them again. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.

Shemka is a very rude woman. She told me over the phone I could drop the uhaul in greer that it would be cheaper. I took the truck tongreer and was told id be charged 200 dollars additional. So I drove the truck back to grove rd an elder white woman took care of ny return . when I told her a black woman set the contract for me and told me I could drop the truck in greer I was called a liar. Then Shemeka the african American manager followed me to my car and confronted me yelling saying i am a liar she never said I could leave the truck in greer and begun to cuss at me and my 61 year old mother. It was appauling. I have never seen a manager act that way although ive been treated this way by many black women of power. She had no right to follow me to my car and get a violent attitude. I wish it were able to be pulled up on camera. She frightened my mother and truly disgusted me. She does not deserve her job or job title. I will NEVER be back and Ill be sure to spread word about that awful woman.

I rented a tow dolly online to pickup at this location. I planned to pull our dolly with a 40 Class A motorhome but wanted to pick up the dolly with a pickup truck so I didnt have to navigate the congested area around this place or their parking lot with such a large vehicle. I called ahead to make sure it was ok to pickup the dolly with the truck and not the motorhome and was told this was ok. When I arrived, I was told that the motorhome as to be present to rent the dolly. Their idea of an RV friendly location is a dirt drive with numerous large holes and a narrow turnaround with low-hanging power lines across the top. Also, do not waste your time checking in online because none of the information input online is transmitted to this location.

Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Did not call us to inform us that the truck we had ordered would be out of commission, and proceeded to act rude and that we were at fault for not knowing our truck would be out of commission? No sense. When we tried finding another truck they sent us to another UHaul and did not inform us that a) the number they had given us was out of commission and b) that the place was not a UHaul but another company altogether. After another thirty minutes of confusion, we went to the new place and discovered that the trolly we ordered to use for moving was not given to us. If I could give this less stars, I would.

With a reservation, its quick service. The customer service is friendly.

Its usually crowded here since they have the most trucks and longest hours of any uhaul in the Greenville area... that said the staff makes due and can usually get you out and rolling in about 30 min

Waited way too long to pick up a truck. Plenty of inventory, but not enough staff to run this place. Don’t rent from here unless you have no other option.

These guys always go above and beyond. The manager, Jeff, and I have worked together in the past on my moving and storage needs. He has always come thru for me and family.
