I love the Leap v2 chair! I have lower back issues and I spend a lot of time on the computer, so this was a great investment towards my physical health. I already notice a big difference in my posture and comfort level. I was particularly impressed with how quickly it arrived and how easy it was to assemble thanks to the helpful installation videos that Crandall Office have made available. The chair looks and feels brand new and Im very satisfied with the color and fabric choices.

After doing a ton of research, I decided the Steelcase Leap was the chair for me - but the price of a brand new one was more than I wanted to spend. Ultimately, after looking at all the Crandall website - I decided to buy one re-manufactured. I was happy to be re-using instead of buying brand new and I got the select the perfect color - and I appreciated that Crandalls actually increased the padding in the seat pan from the standard Steelcase seat. All that, plus Crandalls 12 year warranty sold me. My new chair has been terrific - and has made my long days much more comfortable. I was able to assemble the chair myself. I also found on their website the wonderful charitable work Crandalls does and it makes me feel good to support a business that does good work. Thank you!

I bought a refurbished Herman Miller Aeron chair from Crandall. The website made it easy to pick what I wanted, and the price was less than half what they cost new. Received it less than a week later - much quicker than the website had indicated. The chair is in almost new condition. There were a few tiny marks on the back of the chair, which would be unnoticeable if I werent looking closely. Its super comfortable and my back is very happy. I would definitely order from Crandall again.

Everything went very smoothly, from ordering to delivery. The chair came mostly put-together, so it was very easy to set up. Be advised that you need a 1/2 socket to tighten the bolts. The chair is fantastic & looks brand new. If my apartment complex is hit be a meteor, this chair will still be intact. I was able to order the stool kit for it, so it works with my standing height table. A great addition to my home office!

This is my updated part of the review. Received refund today for the chair. See story below. It seems most people are very happy with the product they receive. I added a star because a solution was reached and they made good with their promise. The other part I noticed they are small buisness and they have systems in place . Example they send return labels a certain day a week only. I think that could be improved. Ialmost bought another chair last night since they had a 15% flash sale for 2 days only and really I should give them a second chance at purchasing a chair. The reason I did not buy one was because I saw that Steelcase website also has sales and if you like the color they offer you for the sale you can get a good sale price direct from Steelcase for the chair models: the Amia, Leap, Think and Gesture chair. I will visit this site from time to time and see if in the near future if I would like to make another purchase and update this review one more time. I have watched a lot of the you tube videos that Crandall has on the site I find them informative but I also find some that try to explain why you may find defects in chairs received a little bit needing improvement in the wording used. As I mentioned what I say is not the typical customer review and is only for information for my experience. If I was to but another chair I would by Grade A return.Original review: Read many good reviews for this retailer. My experience so far is not that great. Bought a type B Steelcase Amia chair. Noticed the extra drilled hole on bottom of chair and even a third attempt at a new hole and small dent when I attached the back. The chair is comfortable but the seat is not level it is half an inch off on one side. However when I place the level on the arms it is fine same as the floor. Perhaps that is something this model has inherited since all the mechanisms are on one side. But pulling up and down on the seat there is a lot more play on one side. I removed seat carefully and replaced hoping this would solve the issue but it did not. I send photos and tried to ask for a return. So far but customer service is not available at all. Phone calls no answer . Emails, first email answered but after that nothing. This chair is suppose to be new with minor scuffs that a customer returned in the 14 day window that Steelcase gives. I am thinking I may have to end up doing a claim with PayPal. I will update this review later if anything changes. For a chair that cost $500 and with the description advertised I expected a little more, at least level seat. If the seat was level I would be a happy customer but looking at the uneven seat daily will bother me.

Crandall has accounted for the nuances exceptionally well on their website for my chairs Gas Cylinder replacement. Theyve shared details about the product documented on their website that could be of concern when different than their video tutorial, and is deeply appreciated. In my case it was the side activated unit which no longer requires alignment on install. No other seller of this part has nuances documented this well. The how to videos are spot on to be successful in doing the work myself. Thank you.

Perfect. I was concerned, because the cylinder didnt look exactly like the one in the chair, but it fits and works perfectly. The installation video was perfect. The hardest part was getting the cylinder off the base (my 3lb hammer was up to the task.)

So far, I have had the chair for a few days and it is extremely comfortable. I like all the adjustable components and ease of use. It was very easy to assemble and quick with no tools. I wouldn’t know the difference between this preowned chair and a brand new chair. That’s how good a job in refurbishing Crandall does. I would say, save the money unless you’re set on a new chair or have a big bank account and get one of these great chairs.

My chair arrived much sooner than expected. I ordered a Steelcase Leap V2 on a Tuesday night and I received it on Friday of that same week. Other than a few scuffs on the plastic, the chair is in excellent condition and of course they replace many of the parts to bring it to near new condition. I recommend anyone looking for a chair to order from Crandall. These refurbished chairs are a tremendous value and I expect to get many years of use out of mine.

I purchased Leap v1. Always good experience with costumer service, love the amount of description on the website. The chair feels really good, just few scuff marks on the back, but looking like new.Maybe the amount of cussion series 1 offers would be even better, but for the price, this is great so far. The only downside is that it seems that I have tightened some screw too much and the chair sinks all the way down, I was sent some instructional video but couldnt figure it out hot to dettach the seat yet. So ill wait for customer service monday to figure it out, however, I guess Ill type sinking under the desk this weekend:)

Ordered a factory return grade B chair. It arrived quickly and well-packed. Assembly was quick and easy with the included full-color instruction sheet. After assembling I compared the chair to the photos on the listing; several of the things they indicated as damage/defects with arrows in their listing were very difficult to notice on the chair; they were very thorough in their inspection. Overall a great transaction, and Im very happy with both the chair and the service that Crandall provided.

This is my second Leap V2-- the first from Crandall through their Authorized Factory Returns. I got it fully loaded, aluminum frame, 4 way arms, Cognet: Connect fabric, etc. Brand new this thing had to have cost the original owner $1500 plus, minimum. The original return even had the super expensive hardwood casters (With polished aluminum to match the frame). Upon request they sent the casters with the chair, as well as the new casters they send with their sold units. Nice.This is where the problems started. The gas cylinder wasnt in the box when it arrived. I assume the packager confused the second set of wheels with the cylinder, or it was sent separately and ended up in the hands of my methy neighbor. Okay, fine. I complained and they sent a replacement overnight. The replacement cylinder was faulty-- it had to be. There was an usual wobble and the chair leaned to the right causing back pain. I took the chair apart several times trying to fix the issue myself, which meant I needed tools I didnt own. More on this later. I escalated the new issue to Crandalls customer service, and after providing the requested photos they determined the cylinder must be faulty. Another overnight later and I have the third shipment from Crandall.I thought getting the seat cushion off the chair was a pain-- little did I know how difficult it would be to remove a metal gas cylinder from an aluminum chair frame. Two rubber mallets and a can of WD-40 (and an hour of pounding in a small city apartment) later and the damn thing finally released. I put the chair back together and... It feels like my first Leap V2! Im comfortable again! I dont feel like I wasted $1000! Im happy.

After a lot of research I purchased the Steelcase Leap V2 from Crandall furniture. I got the 3D mesh with hardwood casters. I didnt know what to expect from a remanufactured chair but the idea of saving over $600 compared to buying new really appealed to me. Seeing the Crandall remanufacturing process and some of the other reviews sealed the deal.Between ordering and receiving the chair, I think only a week had gone by. The chair was very easy to assemble especially with the provided instructions and YouTube videos. Unfortunately, I discovered that the chair was damaged during shipping. I called Crandall and actually spoke to Dave, the owner. How often does a business owner actually pickup the phone?! Very cool. Crandall went out of their way to make things right and immediately sent me a new chair. These chairs look as good as new. The added seat padding actually makes them better than new. I have no doubt this chair will last me for a long time. Crandall had it as Grade B, but it couldve been called Like New anywhere else. Their refurb work is fantastic; the chair maybe has one infinitesimally small cosmetic defect. Their website lists chairs as individual stock units with clear, high-quality photos, so you can go over the exact chair you want to buy with a fine toothed comb. My purchase was seamless, and they expertly package these chairs for delivery.You might, MIGHT be able to get a comparable chair at comparable lower price if you spend hours and hours trawling local office resellers, or haggling with people on Facebook Marketplace. OR you could just order exactly what you want from Crandall. Theyll be my first stop for future purchases.

Recently purchased a certified returned Steelcase Series 1 chair. Communication of shipping times and updates was great. Package came in a large box, too large for our old apartment elevator, but it only weighed 45 lbs so it was reasonable to carry upstairs. Packaged very securely with protective plastic and lots of paper insulation. No tools assembly was super easy! I was really happy to find this chair at a discount, with a great warranty, in the colors I wanted, from a US based small business, and to be giving it a new life after someone else returned it. My Steelcase Leap V2 was just delivered! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL refurbished chair at $500+ less than buying new from Steelcase! There is not a scratch or spec of dust on it. (See photos). I chose the custom Thistle color and the color is true to shown on the website (lighter blue with a hint of grey Id say). From placing the order to it being shipped was less than 10 business days and once shipped it took 2 days to arrive in VA Beach. I had a few doubts about ordering from Crandall based on a couple of reviews here and also reading lots of horror stories about some of the the dealers in re-manufactured chairs. However, Crandalls overwhelming number of 5 star reviews plus their return policy gave me comfort to place the order. Everything works perfectly on this chair. Not a staple showing or crease anywhere from it being reupholstered and the new seat cushion is perfect, not to thin that one bottoms out (I weigh 200), not to thick that you feel like youre sitting on a pillow bed. The perfect amount of cushion. I even checked out the manufacturer of the fabric Crandall uses to reupholster these chairs and it is indeed top quality commercial grade fabric. I cant speak highly enough of Crandall and the chair I received. If youre on the fence about whether to buy new or re-manufactured, do not hesitate to put your trust in Crandall and save a pile of money helping save the planet at the same time. Also, NO TOOLS REQUIRED TO ASSEMBLE. The 1 page instruction sheet with pictures was easy to understand and I had the chair together in less than 5 minutes. It took more time to unpack the chair and the few components than it took to put together.1 MONTH UPDATE... My chair is working perfectly and I now have it dialed in just for me. The one comment I will now make is the Steelcase Leap V2 chairs were cited as having hard armrests from what I read before purchasing this chair and it turned out to be true. I quickly remedied that by buying a pair of top rated memory foam armrest covers on Amazon. I went with the Aloudy Ergonomic Memory Foam Office Chair Armrest Pads, Comfy Gaming Chair Arm Rest Covers for Elbows and Forearms Pressure Relief(Set of 2) For $18 they fit perfectly over the existing armrests and do not hinder the armrests ability to be moved around. I did have to drop the height of armrests a click or 2 as the memory foam pads are about 1 think. If you are paying $500+ for a refurbished chair, an extra $18 is a no-brainer to remedy one of the 2 faults this chair has coming new from Steelcase.Crandall remedied the other known fault it had which was the seat cushion Steelcase uses isnt thick enough or supportive enough. You are literally getting a better chair refurbished by Crandall with their proprietary thicker cushion used in their refurbishment process than buying new from Steelcase. 5 Stars all the way.

I purchased a Steelcase Gesture from Crandall Office. My experience with them has been nothing but amazing. Their superb customer service was also able to help me replace my chair because of a minor issue.The first Gesture I purchased had a minor issue with the headrest, I originally just emailed Crandall Office to ask if that was a normal thing for the Gesture as the headrest did not appear broken at all. The issue at hand was that the headrest seemed a bit more wobbly than one would expect. I was immediately told to look through their Gesture selection and choose another chair to swap it out for. The process was quick, easy, and most of all painless. I wanted to give a special shout out to Kim Koster for her quick action.I have since gotten the replacement chair and I can say that both chairs came in great condition. Neither had any outstanding scratches or scuffs that were not pointed out prior to my purchase. The replacement also has a more stiff headrest that works much better.All in all, I would absolutely recommend going through Crandall. Even if you run into any issues, they will make sure to get it settled.

I ordered a factory return Steelcase chair through the website and couldnt be happier with the experience. Shipping was prompt, packaging was good, assembly consisted of two screws and they even provided the tool. I cant tell the difference between this and a brand new chair (but my wallet sure can). I was a little nervous to buy after the public dispute with a competitor but Im glad I trusted my gut. Its a very nice chair and I can barely tell its not brand new. Just 2 minor scuffs on the back that I didnt even notice until I took the photos. I was expecting much more wear on the non-refurbished parts so thats a nice surprise. I went with the rollerblade wheels which work so much nicer on my hard flooring than my last chair. Ive practically been living in this chair 13 hours a day due to covid quarantine and I can say its very comfortable for long working days.

I needed a comfortable, well priced desk chair for my home. Although I am not usually a fan of second hand goods, I took a chance on Crandall Office Furniture because of Crandalls excellent reviews. Well, heres another five star review. My chair arrived on time, the assembly was easy, and it looks like new at half the price. It is so comfortable that I dont dread desk work (paying the bills!) any more. I couldnt be more pleased.

I ordered the Steelcase Gesture chair from Crandall, and after a week or so, it arrived. The chair was packed very efficiently, and suffered no damage in shipping. Id ordered the tall lift cylinder, and the skateboard wheels and the upholstery colors Id picked were almost exactly as shown on the website. The chair is a magnificent beast.I assembled it -- piece of cake! -- and wheeled it to my desk, where I discovered Id ordered the wrong lift unit. My chair sat so high I couldnt get my knees under the desk. (Im a big guy, and accustomed to ordering the largest of whatever size option there might be!) I sent an e-mail to Crandalls help desk, and got a response saying theyd send me a replacement regular size lift, to replace the incorrectly ordered tall lift. At no cost! Wow! Keep in mind they sent me exactly what I ordered, and then, to make me happy, replaced a perfectly good lift with another.I received the replacement in a few days, replaced the tall lift with the shorter unit, and now the chair is perfect.But, almost more importantly, I cannot imagine a better customer service situation than I had with Crandall. If you, like me, are a smidge nervous about spending a good sum of money for an on-line - literally sight-unseen -- purchase, I can attest to Crandalls refinishing quality and desire to make your purchase all they advertise it to be.

I was very pleased to come across Crandall Office Furniture while I was searching for the chair I wanted! I had been using an Amia from my employer and I have enjoyed it, but will soon have to return it as we return to the office. Buying new from SteelCase was just too much for me. Being able to find the same chair at Crandall for about half the cost was just awesome! The chair I received was clean and shiny and seemed like new to me! I look forward to many years of use and should I ever need another chair, I will return to Crandall. Thank you!!

Fabulous customer service. The people there were knowledgeable and patient. They helped me upgrade an older chair to make it like new. I made a mistake in measurements and they graciously offered to send me another part at no charge. I have recommended Crandall to my clients that are now doing home offices.

I had no idea where to even start was looking to purchase a chair. I sent Dave an email going over how much time i spend at my desk and my uses and wants/needs for a chair. Dave responded quickly and we spoke on the phone about the different recommendations. Dave was patient and understand and very thorough. I liked the range of choices of mesh and seat colors offered for the refurbished Think chairs. I liked the price. I was astounded by the speed with which my chair was fabricated and shipped. For reasons unknown, it arrived missing a necessary bolt and with a cable that controls raising and lowering flapping loose (and impossible for me to put in place). But I liked the speed with which Crandall decided I couldnt fix it, sent out another chair and a return shipping label. Id say buy your chair here.

I bought a re-manufactured Steelcase Leap v2 from Crandall. The whole experience was very positive. Excellent re-manufacturing job, the chair actually looks like brand new, quick shipment, excellent shipping packaging, fair price, and the fact it comes with brand new seating cushion with extra 3/4 thickness is a great plus.

New Steelcase Gesture chair arrived well and was easy to put together. Excellent chair -- much better than my old office chair. The leather appears to be very high quality and not paper thin like my old chair.

I purchased a remanufactured Steelcase Leap V2 chair from Crandall and selected to receive a model that was only a year old. You would think it was one of their factory return models because it arrived in nearly brand new condition. They did a great job of reupholstering the chair and provided detailed assembly instructions. A nice touch is that they provide you helpful instructions in many different formats, which I think is great considering the many different ways people best process information. They were a wonderful company to deal with and provided a service above and beyond other providers of remanufactured chairs.

I was heartbroken when I THOUGHT my Herman Miller Aeron was broken beyond repair. I called a local repair person and he quoted me $300 for onsite service. After doing little research, I found Crandall Office Furniture, and found the gas cylinder replacement for under $60. Replacement of the gas cylinder was super easy (thanks to their YouTube video). I spoke with a virtual assistant to confirm part needed, ordered it and it was at my office in just a few days. Replacement took all of 5 minutes and adjustment another 2 minutes. I COULDNT BE HAPPIER!!!! Thank you, Crandall! You saved my favorite chair from the trash! Forever grateful!
