The company is currently trying to rebrand to save face, but I don’t believe anything at the core of the company will change or how it operates and treats its employees. This place literally made me try to kill myself as well as send me into a mental breakdown due to the stress of the long hours and the environment created by other employees, mostly the poor excuses they have as supervisors. They show blatant favoritism and create hostile work environments due to their own pettiness if they don’t like a member on their team, but since they’re supervisors they don’t get reprimanded and nothing changes. Security is a joke as they just sit around almost the whole shift and won’t provide help if items get taken from your locker (even if it happens more than once) due to the lack of cameras in the area. Just about any issue you present to higher-ups gets swept under the rug and they’ll pretend nothing’s wrong. The only morale is some employees who can help you make it through the night and the long breaks. The pay and the benefits are seemingly nicely but aren’t worth it, trust me.

I worked there about 5 years ago. Oruginally i was called by a employment agency to work there as a equipment technician, I went for an interview then I recieved a job offer but not for the technician position but as a machine operator. I reluctly took the offer because i was out of job. I worked there for a year. I was moved from operating a machine to looking at integrated chips under a microscope for 12 hours a day which was hard on my eyes. I used to worj at Intel and Intel will not let there employes to look through a microscope for more than 8 hours a day. I was let go because they said i did not do a good job, thats probably true brcsuse I really did nt like looking through a microscope for that length of time and the pay was not that much. But 4 years later I am working at a better job that is more interesting and pays $4 more an hour than what i was payed at on semiconductor.

I used to work for this company, and during orientation I was instructed to respect every persons beliefs, which I do anyways, so it wasnt an issue. But when I injured myself, and wasnt able to do my job, I was fired because my beliefs got in the way.ON Semi is only a decent company from the outside looking in, they put on a show that is sickening to see, compared to how they normally are.Safety isnt as important as they want you to believe, I spent 100% of my time(12 hours) in the halls, cleaning up spills, picking up gloves, gowns and other bunny suit items off the floor, (If you step on any of the above, youre going to slip) but nobody cares, nobody EVER cleans up after themselves.Security is a joke, half the cameras either dont work, or theyre just for show. You want an easy job? Apply for G4S, and get hired on at ON Semi. You sit in your office, sometimes you sit at the front entrance,(This happens when there is a threat to the building, happens a lot.), And patrol the halls but just the areas where the camera dont work, or there arent any. There is an unspoken war between the separate areas, nobody will ever take responsibility for screw ups, and it effects production. There was only one decent supervisor, Eugenia(probably spelled wrong), and go figure she was hated by her subordinates, because the other supervisors were either cowards, Tom Cox, he is to afraid to tell his subordinates when theyre being selfish rude D+$-#¢¥€ds, and Sam Ly, he tries to be friends with his subordinates so they walk all over him, if only he knew the things they say behind his back. This company is a joke, if it werent for the fat paychecks, and impossibly great schedules, nobody would put up with the BS.

Miserable company to work for. Worked here for 4.5 years and it ended in a complete mental breakdown due to the constant stress and being promised a promotion I spent 1.5 years training to get - and having that given away to a male who was unqualified. There are no medical benefits, save for a high deductible plan. Employee breaks and lunches are scrutinized by managers weekly, product returns are very high thanks to them constantly slacking off on qualify standards and safety is most certainly not a priority. They cherry pick who is to obey their rules and who can get away with murder based on the amount of sucking up to management you can do. Moving up is not based on merit, or skill, but instead, who the favorite of the management is. Just . . . dont work here unless you are desperate. Its absolutely a nightmare.
