This location is a circus/zoo hybrid. Needed lumber pulled from the parking lot but after being handed off to different associates & waiting for 30 mins, I ended up jumping on top of 4 stacks of lumber to bust the straps and move lumber from the 6th and 5th stack on side of it, JUST to get to what I needed under it from the 4th stack. Stacked what I moved neatly on the ground as well as loading my order in the truck, which took all of ½hr, was positively faster than the HOUR OR MORE it wouldve taken someone to willing help. Id rather go to a remote jungle & mill my own lumber than to grow old & gray waiting for employee assistance at this Dome Sleepo location 😤

I want to love Home Depot because i spend a crazy amount of money here but their selection of wood is dismal and incredibly low quality. All the other stuff is great but go to riverside lumber for wood if quality matters to you. As an example, i can get a beautiful piece of hard maple thats error free and 6/4 x 12 x 12 for the price of Home Depots 1x6x8 oak board....

Todays visit was pretty good. I was greeted when I entered the store and when I went to the appliance dept, the service clerk assisted me with my issue in a timely manner. So I thought maybe Ill visit the garden center to see what plants were new. I was thrilled to find two healthy looking flapjacks to add to my arrangement. The gentleman at checkout had such a pleasant upbeat attitude. So the score this visit was a 3 for 3, which means greeting, assistance and checkout. Very good HD.

Its a hardware store, what would you expect. Clean and friendly personnel, I was able to get in find what I needed and check out.

So of course I went into that section.man I wasTOTALLY IMPRESSEDThe gentleman that helped me pointed me in the right direction but the kicker was a guy came up and ask for something in a totally different departmentMan the employee with outSkippin a beat told whatWhat aisle to go to what side of the shelf the section man those guys really know their store I would recommend them to everyone I know even if they came from the other side of the river this home Depot is the best just one mans opinion. Went in for this air can. It had ok reviews but the 1 with the really great reviews wasnt in stock.Maybe I can catch it when it is in stock.Plus I was interested in folding tables for my projects.The website was alittle confusing but I eventually noticed that if it is in stock itll tell u exactly where it is located like the air can was in row/aisle 40 and section 30 or something and that was VERY helpful.Oh yes and this location didnt have my folding tables either but I saw online it was in stock in kenner so Ill take a look over there

It bad that these store have more self checkout than cashiers. After i waited about 15 minutes to check out with a cashier. I got the worst customer service in world. Joycelyn did not have a card in world. On top that said if you don’t like service I call the manager or you can shop at Lowe’s. You don’t have to shop here. I said you are right and return the drill and some more stuff I had purchased.

I bought a very nice propane grill for $119.00. The staff so friendly and helpful. Plenty of blue collar eye candy to view while waiting for the very kind Manager to come unlock the grill. Which took no time at all.

They were really busy! I was able to find assistance in the garden department and found everything I needed. Folks were friendly - great experience overall.

Home Depot in Chalmette is much better business-wise and much friendlier staff. Chalmette Home Depot caters to the lighter color people and the West Bank tends to cater towards African-Americans. Very sad to say but it is absolutely true actually stunning how horrible it is

A white female manager in all black followed My Husband and I the entire time in the foral section for about 5 minutes once I noticed she kept doing it I finally turned around and ask her would she like to pay for our flowers 💐 since she kept following us. Omg! Autry in paint is amazing! This guy really knows his stuff and he has such a nice and helpful and kind personality. We were lost in the painting section. The painter said we needed enamel, semi-gloss, mildew resistant paint. The first rep, no shade, didn’t even seem to know what enamel paint was. He was showing us acrylic and latex paint any everything besides what we were searching for. We were becoming frustrated and were actually about to leave when Autry arrived. He was super knowledgeable and walked us through it to get each color and type of paint we needed. We thought we were coming to get $200 worth of paint but ended up spending almost $750 because his amazing help and explaining things to us and making sure we were happy with the colors and finishes that we received. Also from a business owner standpoint, while Autry was helping us, someone called in and Autry answered the phone. He said “I’ve got such and such paint and I’ve got this” . He didn’t say those store has this he said I have this. This is one time where “I” is good because he has subconsciously taken ownership of of the goods he is selling and he fully onboard with the company and feels fully vested and is operating that paint department with the same integrity and attention he would it it were his own store. It’s that the kind of employee that very company dreams of being blessed with? To sum it up, I never thought I would be writing a review for Home Depot but great service deserves to be commended! You Rock Autry!

Ive been a fan of Home Depot over the other place for maybe a year or two now. Since the customer service seems to be much better at Home Depot. They usually always have what I need and for the most part, I am able to get help from employees. Which is impossible at the other place. Nothing crazy special about this place, but it’s a good Home Depot.

Do not order anything from delivery from this store! I am still waiting for a bathroom vanity I ordered on July 8th, is July 23rd. When I called the store they told me the vanity is in transit. Now I have to figure it out because I have a baby and we need to use the bathroom. 😡

This location is always packed. The parking lot is a complete fiasco. Give yourself 15 minutes of time in the parking lot, both on the way in and out. There isnt a TSA checkpoint at the door or anything, but the shopping center is horrible.There are like four gas ranges on display, and they look like toy ranges at an illegal daycare. Components are missing, from the grills on top to the knobs on the machines. So not only is the selection horrible, but youre not going to be able to actually look at a unit and make a selection.Ending on a positive note, theyve got these cool e-ink display pads on the appliances. You might not be able to select anything to buy while in store, but youll be able to take down the requisite information and make a purchase online.

On 11/28/20 @4pm I was told no one was there to cut wood on a sat. It almost sounds like BS. They even told me to go to a different store to get the length/amount I needed. One guy in the store did try to help me track down the wood guys so he deserves some props but still.

Merchandise came with free shipping to the store and was on sale. Standard shipping to home would have been $55.

Went in for materials to fix termite damage. This store has a good selection of wood and sheetrock. The store also has a big garage door for your truck to back into it and get your stuff whick makes it very convenient. The lady at the register was friendly and checked out out supplies very quickly but your experience may vary.

They have improved some but they need more help and needs to be clean a little bit but I recommend them to go there good environment

Randy helped me with my electronics needs. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I was kind of a pain because he was busy restocking heavy coils when I asked for help, but he stopped what he was doing to help me. Hes great at customer service. I know because I am in the service industry.

I understand normally we have seasonal items, yet this year has been anything but seasonal. It is 77 degrees in October in NOLA and it wont change for awhile. We are asked to gather outside and practice social distancing,needing outdoor furniture. Yet your store has decided to put away the furniture and keep the grills on display. Please consider the environment your stores are located. I and another customer was looking for outdoor furniture. Nevertheless. I found an umbrella at Lowes. Maybe you need to rethink your sales practing. If customers are asking for the items,and your salesperson indicated to methey were,than be more flexible to the customers needes.

I went to the Stumph Boulevard Home Depot in Gretna, LA, today, 03MAY21. NOT a good Home Depot shopping day! I left frustrated, without what I wanted, or even knowing if they have it or not. First of all HD is still requiring wearing masks in spit of the fact the face mask requirement has been rescinded and science has shown the wearing of face masks does not provide safety. Second, the customer service woman had me waste over 15 minutes as she walked around the front of the store sweeping & talking to other employees and then trying to locate in the computer what I wanted, GOOP, AKA: Amazing GOOP & Automotive GOOP, which is a flexible contact adhesive. She could find it in one area of her computer but not in the important area, where it is located in the store. I left CS not knowing if HD carried GOOP. On a chance, I saw a middle aged male employee & asked him. He was both knowledgeable & helpful. He told me if HD had it, it would be in the paint section, knew where to look, but unfortunately we could not find it. I went to Walmart to buy it, still not knowing if HD had GOOP. The checkout woman was being gabby & not doing her job.6 Months Earlier...I went to the Stumph Boulevard Home Depot in Gretna, LA, today, 15OCT20 & left frustrated, without what I wanted, or even knowing if they have it or not. I stopped at what may have been the paint department to ask where tools were located. A short middle aged heavy set black female did not look up but just pointed her finger over her shoulder & said, All the way to the end. I did not feel comfortable with the directions but went all the way to the end. It was not even close. I asked another woman employee where wrenches & tools were located. She said in Hardware. Again, wrong. I asked a third HD employee where tools were located & he gave me the correct location. HD has a very small tools area from what I found, I could not find hex bit sockets, & the employee had never heard of Hex Bit Sockets. I left there not knowing if they have hex bit sockets or not. With such bad CS & product selection I do not know how HD stays in business!
