Neat grocery store that seems to be in a safe neighborhood. It was refreshing to find someplace with plenty free parking spaces and less drunken chaos! Lots of options and variety. Comparable to something between a Thriftway and a Dillons back home. We had fun doing our grocery shopping here. We had always wanted to visit because of the movie named after this chain.

We purchased a last-minute birthday cake from their deli/bakery. The cake was chocolate with purple buttercream frosting. It was DELICIOUS!! Everyone kept asking where we bought it. Also, their Coca Cola distributor had a big watermelon display made from Coca Cola boxes in the front of the store; from the right angle it read SUMMER too. Cool stop, great cake!!

Worst store ever! Customer service needs to be better. The western union area never know what theyre doing specially the with glasses.

Oh winn dixie... every time i start to like you better than that other neighborhood store something like this happens.i dont ask for much. just fresh(ish) food and a little common courtesy.the store itself was fine, and that is really the bottom line. but if i wanted smart-mouthed unhelpful cashiers i would go to walmart and save some money.i purchased one of the specials that WD was having; you buy one or two item and get three additional items for free with purchase. i found all but one of the free items and was beginning to ask the cashier about the final item. before i could finish my question, she curtly replied we dont do rainchecks anymore. i guess my surprised look was noticeable, she added they do them over there (pointing to customer service) we dont do them over here no more. okay, fine. not going to bother because i have ice cream and i dont have time for all that. my decision, it is what it is.my cashier was mishandling the chips i was purchasing. after she picked them up from the floor after dropping them, then shoving them into the bag, i (i thought politely) requested hey, can you take it easy on those chips please. cashier replied with oh, my bad. you can bag if you want to. in print doesnt seem so bad, but the tone was not pleasant. i replied that yes, i would be very pleased to help out and bag, and so i did.after that, any warmth or professionalism was out the window. i finished bagging, paid, retrieved my own receipt from the machine, and left without her saying another word to me.i sure do miss self-checkout!

It would have been perfect.. everyone had a mask on. The aisles were clean and neat.. right when I was leaving a woman took her Mask down to talk which defeats the purpose.. but it was a decent experience

Edit: Theyve recently redone the store and now it looks horrible, theyve moved everything to completely new areas so it takes a lot longer to get through the store trying to find items, and worst, theyve stopped selling several items I used to buy regularly.Decent customer service. Usually have the items we are looking for. Prices are high, but it is Winn-dixie.

Ive always enjoyed the friendly & helpful staff of My local Winn Dixie. Today while shopping I overhead the announcement for FRESH CRAWFISH $4.99lbs. I had to try them out being that elsewhere was $7.99lbs. The flavor was really good & it wasnt too hot for My enjoyment. Thanks WD!!

Winn Dixie had some amazing deals on Holiday Food. Large Fresh Shrimp $3.99 a pound, Turkey 79¢ a pound, Spiral Ham $1.79, and more. They are also keeping up with extreme cleanliness and friendly as usual.

Excellent counter service at the deli and bakery service. The cake decorator is creative. The only downside is not enough lines open during prime hours.

They definitely need at least one line with 10 items or less and a self check out

Always a clean store, helpful stock staff. Hit or miss with cashiers, some know how to properly bag groceries, some have no clue the sky is blue. Also noticed deli staff is lacking employees and no one comes to help when called, but they always keep their cool. Miss them BOGO Deals, bring it back.

Fresh seafood, poultry, and always overstocked with all sorts of things. Remember, its the holidays, so the lines are a little long.

Not my favorite grocery store but the pharmacy is the best. The entire staff is helpful, kind and efficient. It seems like they are often understaffed and have lots to do, but they never treat their customers poorly. It feels like a small family owned place where they always ask how you are doing and really care. This means a lot as so many big chains are taking over the smaller, warmer places where customers are less important than dollars.

Very pleased with the store, the butcher that helped me and the lady who checked me out. I was exceptionally pleased to find some lamb chops, first time in a while.

Unethical Business Practice/Fraud!!! They rarely have the advertised specials in stock and they do not issue rain checks. This is a scam! They lure you in with enticing/attractive offers that they do not have, will not get, and they do not offer a substitute or rain check. Then they tell you a lie of, It is because of the covid thing. It has nothing to do with the chinese plague! They hide their sin behind a completely unattached issue. Dont go there. Go to Rouses. They honor their advertised specials!One Year Earlier...The sushi guy went straight from the urinal in the mens room to his sushi station without flushing the toilet or washing his hands. I dont know if this is acceptable conduct or if they know or care. I sent this to Winn Dixie as data. Use it as you see fit.I went to the Winn Dixie on Belle Chasse Highway in Terrytown, Louisiana, 07OCT18 about 1000 hours. I was in the mens restroom when the guy, in a Winn Dixie uniform with a red fore and aft style material hat, walked away from the urinal and out the door, without flushing the urinal or washing his hands. A minute or so later I walked out of the restroom and I saw him working in the sushi bar area. I dont know his name. He was short and heavy set, olive complexion, hispanic or oriental, Im not sure.I sure wont buy sushi there.

I really like this store. When they have their weekly sales, I enjoy it even more. Win Dixie is expensive in this city, but the sales make it more palatable.They have more room to navigate the aisles than the neighborhood Rouses. The produce section is more full, and although they are pricey, they have better prices than other said store.Stock up during their monthly BOGO sale! It’s worth it! Last time, I spent $60 and saved $38!

Winn Dixie was a good experience. I go there when I want fresh cut meat and sausage. I little bit higher than Walmart on prices but you get in and out. They have Covid Safety procedures in place as well

Stood in line for 10 mins behind someone with another behind me. The lady at register 8 getting off at 7 I guess told us abruptly that her register was closed and to wait in another line. Was very rude. All she had to do was kindly inform us that the last arvitrary customer was her last. Instead she flippantly told us too bad and to wait in another long line. I will be going to rouses from now on. Very dissatisfied.

I like most of the store but all the produce is not as fresh as it should be, it’s days old and you better eat it within 2 days because whatever you buy will start to turn the next day!!! unlike truly fresh produce in other Winn-Dixie stores

My experience was not good at all. I felt like Winn Dixie was really price gouging. Im a regular shopper there and you all had regular ribs priced over $6 a pound and cheap bacon At $6 a pack. This is ridiculous and the list goes on. Because of this Tropical Storm Barry, I felt like you were more interested in robbing the customers instead of helping us. I put everything away except 2 items and went to Rouses and Sam which was better. Lets keep the prices real and not steal from your valuable customers.

Love the pharmacy they take good care of me the store is always clean the employees have no problem helping find what youre looking for.

Winn Dixie is absolutely amazing! The staff and service here is top notch.

This particular store is on Wall Blvd, just off Belle Chase Hwy(LA 23).The store has an excellent bakery, meats, seafood, deli and the floral arrangements are exquisite.The staff works hard to keep the place humming like a fine tuned machine and they are always eager to please.

As far as I know, they have the best prices locally. The staff is almost always friendly and managers dont mind helping when theyre on the floor. Theyre always open to getting new items too.

I went to this store because the pharmacy accepts the Good Rx Gold prescription card. I had to have my bfs prescriptions transfered there from CVS. The pharmacists are wonderful! She worked diligently for several hours as CVS was not very cooperative with the medication transfer! CVS wanted 1157.00 (yes, 1157.00!!) for the 4 prescriptions but I walked out of Winn Dixie with the same 4 prescriptions but I paid less than 42.00!!! I saved more than a thousand dollars and received very professional and compassionate care through the entire process!!! I will use this Winn Dixie for all of my pharmacy needs from now on!!!

Clean. Nice produce. Real cashiers no self check out which my elder family members complain about. Has all Blue Belle seasonal ice creams including Brides Cake ( omg so good!!!) and Grooms Cake.

Its a clean store that care take a bit of time to check out depending on the time if day. Watch their sale items great savings from time to time. A word of caution when it comes to thier meat department, they will put items on BOGO price promotion but it only brings the price to a price items can be purchased at the other stores regular price and only needing to purchase one item.

This store is really trying to get back to the greatness it once held. Competitive prices, BOGO, and more checkout cashiers. Ive even witnessed bagging assistants go out with elderly customers to get their groceries to the car! The only thing missing from this perfect situation is the lack of sugar free and high protein variety of yougert, jello, and pudding in the dairy section. I have to go to their competitors down the road to get what I need...

This is a decent grocery store. They have a fair selection of prepared foods.

I rarely find myself here unless theres some kind of special going on. For whatever reason, they run out of their special items by noon on the day it starts. My main issue is that I have the check expiration dates on everything I pick up before I put it in my basket. Large store with friendly and helpful employees.

The deli area and hot food service is extremely limited and pretty disappointing; worst of any Winn Dixie Ive ever visited. I left without getting anything because the options were so limited and unappealing.

Frequently the produce at Winn-Dixie leaves a great deal to desire. And I must say that while they do have a few really Pleasant employees many of them are not pleasant they dont say thank you they act like this is a discount store. Ive made comments to Winn-Dixie via their website. But they never make any changes.

This location is always clean and the cashiers, seafood and meat departments are always greeting people as well and ready to help. I wish all grocery stores could learn from this location.
