Having used this PakMail store several times in the past, I emailed to request a shipping quote for an item from New Orleans Auction Gallery. Not only did they provide the lowest estimate of all the shippers, but after picking up and packing the pair of paintings, it turned out the actual cost was about 20% less, so they charged me the lower price! Then when I received the package, I found the packing job was top notch. I buy paintings frequently in auctions all over the country, and this package was extremely well-packed and protected. I would definitely use this location again if shipping from New Orleans.

Needed auction house purchases shipped to Nevada, including two large bronze statue (heavy) items. Pak Mail in Gretna had the best price quote. The items were packaged with great care and arrived quickly with no issues. Ill definitely use them again in the future.

Wonderful service. I needed to have an antique chair shipped out of state. Pak Mail handled pickup, took care of all packaging, and delivered it promptly--all at a reasonable price. I could not be more pleased with the service provided!

GREAT EXPERIENCE. Due to Stay at Home order, I could not make a trip to visit my family and enjoy some delicious local cuisine. I called a local seafood restaurant to see if they would ship crawfish. They could not but recommended Pak Mail on Lapalco. I called and the count be nicer about procuring the seafood, packing it and shipping it!!! Not many places I know go all the way to help customers the way they did. Rachel took the time to fully explain the process and risks and helped me find the right amount to order and the shipping pace to make it reasonable to do. Ill be calling them back in a week or so for another shipment. And will continue to use them as seafood seasons change! Thank you Pak Mail and especially Rachel.

A courteous store with reasonable prices. I asked the UPS store on Claiborne to pick up four small paintings for me from New Orleans Auction galleries and ship them to me in Connecticut. They gave me a price of $550. That seemed very high. I shopped around and Pakmail did the same thing for me for $250. The paintings were well packed and arrived safely.

Pack Mail 493 does a great job shipping heavy fragile items. Shippers have a tendency to throw these items and in my experience the items come in pieces. Pak Mail 493 understands this and double boxes these items with tightly packed sheet foam. Every item they have shipped to me has come in perfect condition.

They will ship anything, anywhere. They are problem solvers and are extremely helpful. They always figure out how to get something shipped. I ship large items with them often. They also have framed art for me, and have moved/ hand delivered art and antiques in the past.

Disappointed. Arranged through a local auction house for Pak Mail to ship a lot I won. I made arrangements with this office via email (once I read these reviews) and waited. A week later I called looking for update and sadly, because it was 8 days before Christmas, I never got any feedback. So two days after Christmas, I tried calling again and finally determined that they did just ship it. Disappointment for lack of feedback. I am putting a lot a trust into these folks with my stuff and feedback would be appreciated. Disappointment for them NOT following my request for UPS Ground but instead chose to ship FedEx which never does a good job in my area. I will. I wait to see if my package is in good shape.

Very helpful staff, they took great care in packing my fragile item that had been sold and needed to be shipped cross country. It was packed so well the buyer actually commented on how well the item was protected when they opened it.

PakMail off Lapalco and Behrman COMPLETELY screwed me over so I am making it my personal mission to inform everyone I know to never use them!Created a FedEx label on Monday evening from home using my credit card, printed the label at home. The URGENT package needed to ship out Tuesday morning via FedEx 2Day Early AM to arrive to a recipient on Fort Bragg on Thursday morning. I paid $58 for this. Dropped the package off to PakMail as this as the closest FedEx pickup to my house, and have my drop off receipt. PakMail never gave the package to FedEx on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning I call PakMail and they said theres nothing they will do since they arent making any money off of the package. Why be in the shipping business if you have complete disregard for urgency and deadlines!? Dont get me started on their customer service.

As expected when dropping off my FedEx Express packages. Friendly courteous and knew.what was needed without any direction.
