The Wurst Butcher Shop is a gem located within Griffith, Indiana! The Owner/Butcher was extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. My Holiday Dinners are going to be awesome this year!

If you do not go here for your meat needs, you are wrong. I tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago and I will not go any where else. When the lady says its the best hamburger shes had, you dont go back to to the large grocery stores. The owner goes a step further and gives the public access to his library of cook books and makes recommendations. His selection of locally produced goods are used in local restaurants we frequent. I would give him ten stars if i could.

A real gem Staff is patient and very knowledgeable. I witnessed the owner spend time with each customer to ensure they got what they wanted. He also took the time to explain how each cut should be cooked. Brats, breakfast sausage, and pork shoulder were all fantastic. Definitely will be stopping there again.

Was trying to find some big beef ribs not a single meat store carried them. Not only did they carry them but they were also dry aged. Reasonably priced store, very friendly and nice staff(especially given the fact I came at quitting time), and the butcher not only a bro type of guy but extremely knowledgeable about cuts and meats.

Hands down my favorite whole animal butcher shop. They offer top quality local meats that are worth the splurge. Staff is knowledgeable, patient and very creative with the prepared food items they offer. They are even willing to try new things a customer may suggest (Lamb bacon for the win!). This place is not to be missed!!

TJ and I just happened to stop by and inquire about their cuts. After spending some time with the owner, Ricky, I was very impressed with the care he took to give us the best experience!Today, Feb. 28, 2020, we grilled his steaks—inner and outer skirt steaks and NY Strip Steaks: they are just SUPER TENDER and barely having any seasoning on it to truly taste the quality. We are totally impressed!Their special ground beef is LIKE NONE OTHER! You must truly try it for $7.99 a pound. I was really surprised by the flavors that burst in your mouth with just unseasoned ground beef. WOW!We are sold and plan to be regular customers to this new establishment.

You will not find a butcher like this anywhere else in the area. High quality cuts with animals sourced from great local farms. Wonderful sausage, bitchin bavettes and cuts of meat you didnt know existed. All served with a smile.

Best place to get meat. Everything is cut fresh and there are a ton of cuts that most people don’t know about. The staff is ridiculously knowledgeable and friendly. Plus the amazing pre-made(?) meats like the hotdogs or the chorizo. Cannot wait to come back and get some more!

Was in yesterday for the first time and purchased various sausages. The breakfast sausage was unfortunately not good at all. Not sure of the spices used but had an over the top citrus taste and mouth pucker that made it very hard to eat and enjoy.

Ribeyes tasted great. Far better than any I’ve had in steakhouse. Plan to return regularly.

I honestly dont want to bash a new small business, especially during covid times, but felt this is necessary. Tried the beef bacon bratwurst, it was pretty good. Saw they had hotdogs for a whopping $10/lb, and thought for that price it must be amazing. First bite, really didnt care for it. 2nd bite, it had a bone it. Im not a picky eater, but this was one hotdog that went on the trash. Sorry guys, might stop in for steak, but no more sausages.

I bought a 9 lb prime rib and was reluctant due to the price . After the butcher assured me of their quality and taste of their meat, I bought it and cooked this for Christmas. I must say I was more than pleased of the taste and accuracy of the quality. Thank you and we will be back

Third time there this afternoon, bought the last filet and a New York strip, fillet was awesome, the strip was probably toughest meat I’ve ever had, my wife and I couldn’t even chew it. I wrapped it in their packaging and was thinking about taking it back to show them but they probably don’t want people’s cooked food brought back in. Went to their website but don’t see a number on it to call. May have to stick with their fillets.

Definitely the best butcher in the area! Tried the NY strip and filet, both great quality. We will be back!

Stopped here yesterday for the first time. Awesome selection. Super friendly and knowledgeable team. Bought a few ribeyes and strips for a BBQ - best steaks I have had since COVID robbed us of all the great restaurants!Definitely will be back.
