I bought snacking cheese from this store on Sunday June 27, I gave my kids some for a snack and we noticed how nasty it was. I looked at the expiration date and it expired in May 2021! Truly disappointed. Not to mention one of the store employees kept following my 15 year old daughter around the store as if she was stealing. She repeatedly singled out my daughter asking her if she needed help when my daughter already told her she did not. I’m never going to this location again.
This is a bigger store than their previous location on Mack, so they have way more items now, and more isle space. Layout is nice (theyve replaced the old Barnes And Noble that used to be there). Nice little produce section (though a little pricey), great frozen foods section, nice salad bar, and a sandwich bar if you get hungry while shopping there. They even have a great little eating area, where they often convert to presentations and workshops also. They accept the EBT Bridgecard if you have one, and offer weekly coupons to knock down some of those pricey items. Only issues are the high prices (but thats what the coupons are for), and the customer service could be warmer. They are not mean, but no so warm and friendly either.
Lots of organic foods and biggest meat-free selection around! You pay a little extra for these hard to find items, but it is worth it. Staff wasnt very interactive, but I prefer that anyway! Cashier was friendly.
I really wanted to NOT put any stars at all. Lakisha is in the WRONG profession because customer service is not her area. She unfortunately was my cashier @ checkout. She did not greet me, she asked for my name, instead I gave her my phone number and mid way through she RUDELY said “I can’t hear you”, due to my mask. While facing the bagging area she said in a low voice I need to see your ID. I was purchasing the Margarita wine. I took my ID out, she looked @ it and did not even say thank you. When she was done taking care of me she didn’t even say thank you or have a nice day or anything and just walked off. Mind you a co-worker had come over to finish the bagging and did engage conversation with my wife about the Margarita wine. I had to commend her and let her know we appreciated her polite and professional customer service. Also while shopping not one employee offered to assist us, BUT offered their services to others who were in the same aisle as we were. They treated us as if we were invisible. I work in customer service for USPS and know first hand how the customer should be treated. This was my first time at this location and will be my last. Customer service is not a job where you pick and choose whom you want to “politely” service or engage with. Such treatment should be with ALL customers regardless of your personal preference or feelings. If this is not the job you’re not comfortable in then you should seek other employment opportunities where you can work alone and not service customers. Treat customers the way you would like to be treated LAKISHA & her fellow co-workers, you already know who you are. Be honest with yourself.
I just want to shop here without being harassed.
So we just visited this store and no greetings they pick and choose who they want to speak to and help smh.and the cashier lakisha didnt speak or wasnt friendly at all. Wow and the other cashier was so friendly she helped bag our items we purchased 👏. Like I said no help from no one in the store but one cashier that was running her on line. Please let your employees no not to pick and choose customers who they want to be friendly with.
Love this store. It has great prices and has a very wide array of products to serve just about need anyone would have. I highly recommended you shop here if health is your primary concern.
Fantastic selection of organic and gluten free foods. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Very friendly more room then the other one thats Great and its parking is free I dont have to rush to the meters because I am disabled now.
I was there today to get a sandwich. There wasnt one in the cooler so I asked if I could have one made. The guy behind the counter was nice and he asked the girl to make it. She couldnt have moved slower if she tried. She walked back and forth from one side of the deli to another as slow as possible. Never spoke or acknowledge me. Finally after about 8 minutes she hands me my sandwich expressionless and says nothing even after I said thank you. Not very good service.
One of the few places where I can buy wheat grass powder. Love the variety here. Keep up the great work!!
I been in this store several times they are always friendly and helpful! The selection of product is amazing, they always have good discounts for regular customers! I love this place it feels local!! Wish I love to support!
Staff not very friendly...seem bothered when you ask questions.
Favorite place for healthy items! Michigan whopper is also super good
Worst location ever! Store was open for another 30 minutes and the associate didnt acknowledge me when I walked up to order. Then from a distance asked what did I want and then said they dont serve food after 6pm because they start cleaning. Makes sense though. Pass up money so I can clean. Happy company, happy day. I will stay in the city where closed means closed.
Nice store but mediocre public relations shall we say.
I actually dread coming here since they moved locations. The area is not as good as the last location and the newer employees are much ruder and not very helpful at all. I used to love to walk around and take my time and shop. I loved that they had some of the hard to find items I was used to getting at similar locations in Ann Arbor. Now it just seem like a joke in there. I keep hoping and giving it a try and getting disappointed every time. Today I went in to buy individual packs of Emergen C, yet to find that you no longer sell them as individuals..only in boxes (huge boxes) one of the appeals to them was that you could try different flavors, I asked if perhaps they were in a different section of the store...I was told you stopped selling them like that and that I would just need to pick a flavor...seriously?! No, actually I will just go where they sell them individually. I see your store has turned into a “prepared food” and junk food haven..doubt I’ll be back anytime soon.
I guess Im a little wrong for assuming or expecting some type of courteous, kind, or helpful service. That is not the experience that I received. Among walking in I was stared at, but no one offered to help me. Eventually I had to find a worker and ask them a question which was replied with a condescending tone and the woman immediately turned her back to me to continue stocking shelves. Things are much more expensive than the other Better Health stores and the staff all seem to have an uppity attitude. I dont need to spend my hard-earned money there and I will not be going back.
This location is VERY limited and very expensive when comparing the same brands to other competitors. I love the Novi location but wouldn’t pass Village Market down the road to come here.
Great selection of products and the store is clean and tidy. The only complaint would be the high turnover of employees. I seldom ever see the same employee twice.
Sonoma Chicken Salad is about the only good thing here. The produce is soft (cucumbers in my case) and not worth the price they are charging. The lemons don’t even smell like lemons - my 1st sign that something is not truly organic. Also - cashier was sick - putting her hands all over my produce & claiming she’s NEVER contagious. 🤣 Yeah right. STAY HOME IF YOU’RE SICK - or at least wear gloves! Let’s see that the Drs. at the hospital - who’s building you’re located in - say about that.Place looks nice, but prices are not placed in a good spot for produce & it’s not worth the prices you’re paying here.Guess I’ll continue to make the 45-60 minute drive to Plum Market for true organic produce.
Excellent products. Helpful staff. You can find items here that you cant find elsewhere. Be sure to shop on Mondays to take advantage of their 15% off special.
Shop there once a week, very small store they have a good selection of organic products. Thank you very much.
Staff were friendly and helpful if they didnt have a particular product in the store they were more than willing to order it for you
11/16/18 UPDATE: they opened on 11-12-18 as the owner made extraordinary efforts to make that happen NOTE: most but not all items have arrived yet...the GRAND Opening is expected in Jan. 2019....11/09 Opening at new location; Mack & Moross expected on 11/14/18...many are waiting anxiously for this to occurr....7/14/18 desc. updated...Great organic produce plus many Healthy Supplements...only 4-stars 1) its a little small, 2) parking is not free & is limited 3) when they reconfigured the store layout they left the columns in the aisle...an 8 yr. old using AutoCad couldve done a better layout than they did 4) they dont re-order all their stock in a timely manner ( you find something you like...then its sold out...and they dont re-order for weeks at a time...its not perfect but I still recommend this store to anyone.
I have been coming here for years one of the best stores And best employees. Yesterday I went in looking for this protein drink I have purchased in the past. The newer employee told me if its not out they dont have it . When I knew they had it it was just moved . She yelled to me they dont have it a second time . I then turned to the manager who was able to show me where the item was . He was very helpful. As then employee then began to talk down to me and name call under her breath stomping her feet and clapping . I was with my mother it was so embarrassing I was so upset . The manger then began to stick up for employee saying hes sorry but sees how me asking him for help in front of her after she gave me her answer can seem rude !! I was blown away......... isnt customer service suppose to be learning abilities ? If it was for her I would of walked out but he showed me to my 80$ purchase. I am still upset I waited over night to post this as I thought I would move on. But Im very disappointed and upset, as a business owner myself this employee would be fired immediately. No one should name call and act so awful to a customer . Or anyone for that matter.
Good place to get your CBS products
The new store is nice but the staff is just so rude and snobby.
This store has improved over time - there are many things they still do not carry however. I make trips every month or so to Zerbos Health Foods on Plymouth in Livonia. They have a much larger selection.
Very friendly staff and knowledgable about the products. Always a really good experience shopping here.
This place has changed from health food to junk food..they have as many unheathy choices as a gas station does..they keep getting rid of the healthier choices..and the atmosphere is bad and the employees know nothing about holistic health..they just want to sell..i dont frequent much..
Very professional, knowledgeable cashiers and just a real pleasure shopping experience.
Great place to work. Friendly staff
The employees here were very kind and helpful.
The wife and I shop here every week. Helpful staff, clean store.
I like this store. It has a nice variety at reasonable prices.
Decent selection. Staff not very knowledgeable.
They stock super good milk.
The people who work at this store were incredibly rude. The sign said they were open so I tried to go in, but someone working there ran up to the door and locked it.
Love their service!
Have healthy foods but prices are a bit high.
Very good experience!
Not helpful towards African Americans....
Good variety of items
As always my questions were answered.
I bought a grilled cheese sandwich for 6 dollars. It was bread and 2 slices of cheese. Not even cooked. Are u kidding me?
I went here a week ago; where they were low stocked. It was okay!!! But a bit too pricey for what I needed
