Showed up at 730 and they were waiting for the bagel delivery. Waited to 745 and gave up. Not cool they also get their bagels delivered and not made in house.

My boyfriend got me a bacon, egg & cheese on a roll one morning from this place and Ive been in love with this place ever since. Who wouldve thought that Jersey could make a good BEC. This sandwich was phenomenal! Now every time Im in jersey, I come here for breakfast. This place is underrated.

BEST BREAKFAST EGG SANDWICH AND LOX SANDWICH IN THE AREA PERIOD!Service was VERY EFFICIENT! The customer service WAS AWESOME! I was able to get an amazing value meal that was SO DELICIOUS so quickly! All of the staff were very hygienic and everyone was wearing masks! Highly recommend! I regret not ordering more food!

First time visit and glad we checked it out as we travelled through the area. It is a really small joint, seats about 10 comfortably. We were with kids and unfortunately a perturbed couple sat beside us swearing up a storm. Otherwise other patrons were courteous.Seems to be a ma n pa establishment. So its not starbucks service but all seemed to have pride in their work - helpful with the selections and the service like a family atmosphere.Little more pricey than expected for places of this size/type, but it was like a boutique offering. The bagles were great, served real coffee and they had small but great meat and cheese selections.Definitely will hit this place again for beakfast.

I knew I was in trouble when I asked the girl is the bread crusty or soft which she answered it has mayonnaise and something else I forget anyway I said no no Im talking about the bread is it crusty or soft mushy bread from like a supermarket? She says well I can show you the bread she could not answer a simple bread question that any bread lover knows what I mean good Italian or French or even Portuguese bread is nice and crusty on the outside soft on the inside you know nobody wants Supermarket bread, anyway I was hungry working far away from where I usually work so I said okay just just give me the roast beef with mozzarella turned out to be very soft bread and the roast beef was over cookedAlso before I left I asked the other girl could I have some extra napkins she says everything is in the bag, everything you need is in the bag. Yes but I want EXTRA napkins because theres no dining in I have to eat outside in the car and Im a sloppy eater, and she just doesnt smile or anything totally no personality, anyway, food pretty good considering the bread. Oh and the coffee is great. Personality wise I took away a star for no personality, I think these girls are overworked.

I just recently have started coming here, and I have not been disappointed. I have been given great service and truly good food by the young women who have helped me each time.Super convenient because it’s close to my home too.I went here for breakfast today. It’s not the first time that I realized that the man who owns this business is not the nicest person. Each time I am there he seems to always “pull someone aside”.... I believe that any form of criticism should be given one on one, especially in a workplace setting. If your employees- who are all completely wonderful by the way—- do something differently from the way you want it to be done, pls talk to them off of your sales floor. Not where your customers can see the tension. You employ some very kind young ladies. You have a seemingly successful shop. Be kind.

A great place to pick up bagels and more, that serves breakfast for the duration of the hours that they are open. After just missing the breakfast sandwich hours at another local establishment, my wanderings took me here. Quick service, with calling ahead pick-up service available, as well seating if one wishes to dine in. They have a very impressive selection of breakfast items. I cannot wait to try their lunch selection. My new spot for weekend breakfast and definitely recommended.

My boyfriend lives in town and this is my fave spot for breakfast. Prices aren’t too bad and their cafe con leche is always made with love. Classic breakfast sandwiches and nice lunch ones as well. Always go for a sausage egg and cheese, my boyfriends likes to switch it up from time to time.

Their bagels are decent. Theyre not made in house but the staff is really great and it has a real community vibe. They also have tofu cream cheese which is great for any vegans looking for a breakfast bagel. Ive become a regular here because of their scallion tofu cream cheese.

I live in Edgewater, and this is my go to bagel spot. Ive only had bagels here so cant give feedback on anything else. It is street parking, but Ive always been able to find a spot within three block. Bagels are generously sized and ingredients a fresh. I normally get a bagel with cream cheese, lox, onions, tomatoes, and capers. They take both cash and credit. Ill keep coming!

5 Stars is a generous rating but this place deserves it. When it opened, it had a fine product and a very clean, very spacious dining area. About 5 months later, this place has remained that way, very clean and still making great sandwiches. Ive lived in this area for years and you cannot find a better bagel or deli sandwich for miles. Youd have to go down to Edgewater to get close to this quality and by then itll be 2 dollars more expensive than it should be. The prices are fair, theyre not cheap but theyre certainly NOT expensive. Very fair prices for the product. I like to call ahead, the order is always ready and waiting when I arrive. If you live nearby, definitely check this place out. Dont bother with the Galaxy or anything in there, skip the Dunkin Donuts (this place has better coffee) and try Park Ave Bagels. The owner is usually there and he is very nice and charismatic.

As a native New Yorker, Park Avenue Bagels was literally a God sent from foodie heaven. Everything John the owner makes has been just like they do across the river- great quality, exceptional taste, and he even throws in an accent..:) Personal favorites: pumpernickel bagel with veggie cream cheese which he gives you a GOOD spread of cream cheese- enough for 2 bagels, cheeseburgers, chicken supreme on a rustic hero and lastly the home-run -traditional pastrami on rye with the works.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND if youre in a the #BlvdEastArea #Guttenberg.

I am giving it 3 stars do to the fact I have been here before and the woman is nice I believe she is the owner. So I went there today with my dog I call up explain to the guy that I am standing rite outside the door with my dog 15 minutes later I call the guy back and ask him if it is ready he gives me attitude when he come outside he goes next time you can tie the fing dog up and points to 4inch pole sticking out of the ground walks back inside mumbling so I open my the door say the coffee and bagel that already paid for and said you just lost a customer he tells me I dont need your fu... business As I am across the street he comes back outside screaming and cursing at me so I said a few choice words to him after he told me he will f me up .when I said I am going to call and talk to the owner he tells me he is the owner tells to back across and find out. All this because he had to come to the door there were 3 tables in the place but to him thats busy. On a note from another review yes he did look very unsanitary.

Best sandwich I have ever eaten. I travel from Maryland to NJ to visit family and I always have to stop and get the Monte Cristo with the best coffee made from Laura. Thank you John for sharing the skills to the town.

DIRTY! The prior comments have to be by friends and Ill explain why. If you ever happen to go inside the owner or the guy who runs the place is completely unsanitary. He wears gloves to handle the money, food, and even goes out to smoke a cigarette with the same gloves he had on and starts cooking! Its disgusting and if you dont believe me look at him work! I promise it will happen. Soon as I seen this I walked out and never came back..IF YOU DONT BELIEVE SEE FOR YOURSELF

Basic bagel place thats over priced . Only bagel shop in the area besides Dunkin Donuts so I guess thats why theyre over priced. If youre looking for a place with drama and the cook nodding off while making your food then this is your place!! Ive been there only twice. First time I went during the weekend and waited about 15min for a simple egg and cheese on a bagel. It was good but nothing to write home about. The miserable guy and the dry unkind woman behind the counter seem like the owners because all they did was fight and scream in front of me and other customers....awkward to say the least. Second time, I went before work to grab my simple breakfast sandwich and again waited awhile for my sandwich and coffee while having to listen to the guy behind the counter scream and demean some small Spanish chick that was running around doing what he said cause she looked too scared to defend herself. Needless to say Im never going back there and telling my friends and patients not to give him any business either. Anyone that can speak to women the way this guy does, doesnt deserve a penny or anyone elses.Im assuming the people that have had great experiences here havent seen and experienced what Ive seen and heard.

When I walked into this bagel shop it looked nice and I figured it would be a good place since there was a lot of people eating and a good bagel shop is needed in the area. Unfortunately it is not as good as it looks. I purchased 6 plain bagels, a side order of sausage and a plain bagel with vegetable spread. $12.00 dollars spent, thats about average. Here is the results of that purchase:My oldest daughter had a track meet this morning and loves bagels, I was able to drop off 2 bagels to her before she left to her meet. Soon after I drove home and once we opened the bag, the disappointment began.(1)My wifes bagel had a thin layer of veggie spread, now the other 2 bagel shops they usually pile it on, this place barely put anything on.(2)My younger daughter said it was OK, but had better.(3)For my self, COMPLETE LET DOWN.Heres the kicker and the most expensive one....(4)My oldest daughter calls me from the school bus saying I snapped my coil in my braces and Where did you get these bagels?Thank God that the coil is not rubbing up against her gums and cheeks, but now she has to wait until Tuesday to get this repaired. Thanks Park Avenue Bagels.The bagels are not fresh and definitely not hand made, they are brought in from some where else. They look, feel and taste like the bagels that you would get from Dunkin Donuts, no offense.As a multiple business owner, I suggest you take a look at your business again and make some changes so that you can be in business for decades, not years.Written 12/30/16Carlos in WNY
