Got served a cappuccino in a paper cup despite dining inside. Foam was poor quality. They didnt mark the decaf and regular, so we mixed them up. Pastries were good.
Adorable! I’m always happy to support mom and pop shops and this is a true family operation (according to their signs). Very “local” vibes and nice CoVid seating arrangements- inside is for conversation, outside is for working (laptop use), I personally appreciate the partitioning of space in this manner.I got a pumpkin spice latte and a hazelnut latte (with homemade syrup ❣️). Excellent, quality espresso beans in use with lower acidity and an overall lighter but robust and smooth flavor.
Wonderful shop. Great coffee and other goodies. Friendly staff. Not a chain- locally owned!!
Decent atmosphere to sit, talk, read, etc. Outdoor seating area was very nice. Sadly I didnt like my cold brew (had a strange bitter or sour taste). Donuts were good. Chocolate chip cookie was disappointing.
Friendly staff. Chill atmosphere. Tasty quiche. Delicious coffee. Who could ask for more?
The space and location are fantastic, inside and out. Definitely a local staple for people in the area, it seems. The coffee is “ok”, I would say. Baristas are very good, accommodating and friendly. Nice selection of goods in the adjoining shop. One thing, don’t expect anyone to be wearing a mask inside, including management. It’s not political, it’s necessary.
Great coffee shop and market! The quiches are delicious and filling! The muffins and coffee cake are amazing! I love the rustic atmosphere inside and the tranquil courtyard outside to meet up with friends to share a coffee or cup of tea!
There are no railings to go up the 3 steps to get in and out. REALLY??? I asked for a toasted muffin and instead got a heated one. TOASTED... So I took it back up to get it toasted and the guy argued that he had heated it and that was that. 2 tiny pats of butter for my friends bagel. $11 to be happy out, NOT. When we walked in, we were pounced on by a cute girl, didnt even get to see what they had. SMH. I hope Haddonfield does something about the railings. I intend to call the Americans with disabilities people. In 2021, we shouldnt have to ask for a railing.
Excellent tea! Great service. I loved the atmosphere. I had the ginger peach tea. My friend had coffee and commented it was good but a bit too bitter. Ill be returning.
My favorite place in the area to chill in a cafe and get work done! Reasonable prices, solid coffee, and a fairly well stocked and rapidly growing market filled with lots of local goods. Solid in-house baked goods as well, some of it is a bit too sweet for me but goes down well with a black coffee.
Great place for a cuppa tea, coffee, snacks. I love sitting outside reading a book. Nice environment, friendly staff.
Friendly staff, great coffee, and baked goods. Whenever I get to stop in its always a treat. Whether its for a coffee or muffin. Everything is great. Since covid theyve expanded to add more of a market style of treats, drinks, and other items for sale. It was great for a quick buy. I love their support for local and community businesses too.
Needs to pay employees more since the ones working were not as “customer oriented,” as one would hope.
This coffee shop is spectacular. Coffee is well priced. In all my visits Ive been consistently impressed with how well trained each barista is at creating quality beverages. The coffee is spectacular. The space is quaint, the employees are knowledgeable and very nice. Do yourself a favor and stop here if youre in the area. Overall, wonderful atmosphere for studying, reading, or enjoying brunch with friends. Wish I had found this place sooner!!
Nice place. Friendly staff and customers. Great location. Good variety of products.
Great coffee and staff. Try the homemade baked goods
One of my favorite local coffee shops. They make a great cappuccino and have indoor/outdoor areas to sit and enjoy. They even stock some locally made products (sauces, snacks, etc) and some helpful grocery items (eggs, bacon, etc).
Cute shop but not really sure if the drinks are on point.Came here for a change of scenery from the every day work from home dullness.Found parking on one of the side streets and were able to walk on site without issue. Inside, masks are enforced and when we went, indoor dining was not an option.Overall, its a nice little shop aesthetically, lots of windows and charm creating that cozy corner coffee shop vibe. The workers were very polite and allowed us to take our time going through the menu and making our choices. We got a latte and a cold brew and a muffin to share. Nothing too spectacular from the drinks or bakery item. I also noticed that they have other local areas items for sale - like quiches and bagels. We had arrived here late afternoon, so all the bagels were all sold out, so coming here in the morning may be a better idea.We sat outside while dining, and I found it surprisingly chill. The outdoor space is a pretty spacious and even though the street is pretty busy with foot and car traffic, we didnt feel too confined.COVID review: masks required while inside but can take off when seated at their outdoor seating. There are many areas where you can use sanitizer and they have a station with paper towels and cleaner to use to wipe your area down when you leave.Might give this place one more whirl and aim for a morning time visit but not itching to go back for the time being.
Coffee was good but breakfast sandwich was nasty
One of the best coffee shops around! Go with a latte and banana chips muffin and youll be happy, I promise ;)
The food and drink here is nice. I didnt wait too long to recieve my order. (when I was there, it was only one person so I cant complain too much.) The indoor seating area was nice.
The pastries and quiche here are so, so delicious. Much better than you can get at most other coffee shops. Generally, for goods that high-caliber I would go to a bakery. So in that regard, I really love it here.Lately though, I am so horribly disappointed by the owners lack of respect for others by refusing to wear a mask. Not only does she go mask-free behind the counter and in the office space, but she wont even put one on when she walks through the customer areas. The complete disregard for COVID-19 she shows is just embarrassing. Masks are not that hard to wear; they are the easiest thing we can all do to prevent the spread of the virus.
This place is awesome. Coffee, pastries (those muffins 😍), quiche, and the local goods are awesome. Service is super friendly, and they manage to cultivate a safe and welcoming vibe even in the midst of a pandemic. Definitely stop by.
Hella good coffee! Lovely ambience!
Scones and coffee were delicious. Cashier had a pleasant attitude. There were no seats available to sit inside.
Hands down this is the best coffee shop in the downtown Haddonfield area. Jersey Java is a quick few block walk from the Main Street area. I’m a big fan of the coffee and they offer at least two fresh light roasts at any given time (try the Falcon Head or Tanzania roasts). This place also serves local wine.
Coffee is the best in south jersey
Cozy spot with an incredibly welcoming manager and staff.
Fantastic coffee, fantastic spinach & swiss quiche, fantastic service. A treasure of a coffee shop
Good coffee, good pie, seemed a bit on the pricier side, maybe because of location but overall a good place to go. Pie was so good I may order a few for Thanksgiving!
Pumpkin coffee delicious. Not too sweet, authentic pumpkin flavor. The barista very friendly. Cute shop
Pleasant experience. Good coffee, tasty quiche, pleasant employees, outdoor seating...What more could you ask for? Its worth visiting.
My fave coffee shop. Nice indoor & outdoor seating areas.
A good place for a cup of java in south jersey, cool environs but usually overcrowded
One of my favorite.coffe places in the area!
Its a cozy place with really nice people. Awesome iced coffee!
I had the coffee and quiche. The space is warm and friendly and inviting. I spent 2.5 hours there. Its set up to have a meeting or work on your own. There were at least 6 people there with laptops just doing their thing. Its a great space!
Great drinks, the quiches are delicious, super friendly staff, and it’s a really unique space. Love the plants and tables outside
Delicious coffee and its a bonus that they carry Franklin Fountain ice cream.
Jersey Java is simply my favorite cafe in the world. And Ive been to a lot of cafes in the world. Best-tasting cold brew coffee Ive ever had? Check. Fantastic latte art? Check. Fireplace? Check. Great outdoor seating and indoor seating with big windows? Check. Friendly regulars and friendly staff? Check. Great house-made baked goods? Check. But really, Jersey Java is more than the sum of its parts. Dont miss it.
Another place I have gone to for a long time. Always really good beverages. I drink decaf and they always get it right. The food is really good too and I think it is home made. They recently rearranged the seating so now more people can sit inside.
Very comfortable inside. Coffee and Hot Chocolate are served piping hot. They get their bagels from K & A. Home made quiches and pastries. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. We anticipate returning.
If I could rate this place zero stars I would. My girlfriend and I have an instagram page called Destination Coffee where we look for Juice bars, coffee shops, and tea shops. We dont look for the typical big commercial shops, we look for the whole in the wall places that are local businesses. We believe in supporting the local shops instead of supporting the Rich CEOs making millions of dollars a year.We had Jersey Java & Tea Co. on our list and we were really excited and eager to try their drinks and coffee. The first visit we had was anything less than pleasant. We arrived to the shop, to find out that they were closed. They have there normal business hours online, but a different set of hours posted on the store front. Then when we walked up to the door the employee some gentlemen and I put that in quotations because this man was far from a gentlemen, he had the attitude of five year old, told us that WE ARE CLOSED!!! and shouted it. Not really a proper way to speak to people in general, yet alone someones first time visiting your establishment. The second time we arrived, we couldnt find parking (because they dont have a parking lot, so the street is first come first serve.) The tables outside ARE NOT six feet apart and no one was wearing masks and the inside reminded me of a nursing home and all of the papers posted on their doors reminded me of my art class back in elementary school. We didnt even bother to get anything to eat or drink, and WE WILL NOT be reviewing this coffee shop on our instagram page or recommending it to anyone!!!Ill stick with Saxbys Coffee Shop (Which is also in Haddonfield.) At least they have parking and their service is exceptional, with a wide variety of food and drinks. They are a real coffee shop. This place shouldnt even be open. Health hazard waiting to happen.
Awesome space..if you can get a seat
Found this place when I didnt feel like waiting in the 15+ person deep line at Starbucks up the road. Quaint little coffee shop on Haddon Ave. They are also one of the few places to still put some real art in their craft lattes are beautiful to look at and taste just as good thanks to their rotation or various coffee beans. Great job Jersey Java!
Their drinks are fabulous. The only critique I have about this place is that the staff can come off a little rude depending on who is working. Is it worth it? Yeah, their espresso is top-notch and the drinks are crafted well. Little baked goods section is cute. The shop itself is nice to hang around in.
Great local coffee shop. Such a relaxing, chill place to hang out with friends, work, or write. Incredible coffee and tasty homemade baked goods. The homemade pop tarts are legit. Support local business!!
Nice place with quality coffee. Plus neat foods, drinks, and gifts in their new market. Ive tried the coffee and espresso drinks, all very good. Really enjoy the espresso blend - $21/lb whole beans. Matthew is awesome!
Excellent atmosphere. Highly upbeat and welcoming. They have a nice selection of different coffees and brewing methods. Pour overs are a bit pricey. The layout of the shop is overall well planned but they could use some new couches and chairs as some of them are old and falling apart.I still definitely recommend this coffee shop.
Its my first time here and I love it.... cozy, soft music, super friendly employees and I recommend their nutcracker latte...lots of pastries to choose from.
Nice little coffee spot, with cozy outdoor seating.
Awesome amazing
First off, the seating choices are are kind of bonkers; really low so your chin is level with the table, or really hard like a church pew. An actual church pew. The baked goods we tried, coffee cake, was not very good and the hot chai came with so much froth that I had to dump/skim in order to drink it.
Great locally owned coffee shop with nice selection of baked goods (baked on premises). Coffees are all fair trade network. Best cappucino this side of Florence. I dont know why anyone would go to Starbucks or Saxbys, where baked goods arrive by 18 wheeler from who knows where, when we have this local gem.
Great atmosphere, beautiful shady outdoor seating area, creative drinks & homemade pastries. I used to visit regularly when I lived close by and now make the drive here every once in a while. Highly recommend
A delightful little coffee shop as quit as a library with ambient music playing in the background. However, there is a bit of traffic most right outside; but its soothing similar to rain or wind sounds. The coffee is well roasted and not over brewed like most commercial coffee shops. Several outdoor sits line the perimeter of the shop. The interior lighting is low which proved a cozy feel good for reading. The staff is helpful and friendly.Dont take my word for it give them a try and let me know what you think. Have a good day and a wonderful cup of coffee😊.
Good coffee, friendly speedy service, good selection of other items to munch on. Both table and lounge like areas to sit. Stable and speedy wifi.
Cute corner cafe with a nice outside patio. Staff was friendly, and the drinks were properly made. Good location as well.
Always great coffee and genuinely great baristas. The seating is great for sitting and chatting. There are usually a lot of people studying. I dont know who picks their music, but I always love the selection. Their chai lattes are the perfect fall drink.
Cute coffee shop, coffee was good and staff was very friendly. Great place to meet friends or study. Only suggestions i could make is the little station where they have sugar and milk etc.. maybe find a way to better refrigerate the milk in a tiny fridge instead of the thermoses, and to get a better bowl for the sugar in the raw and offer larger spoons or straws to mix your larger drinks.
Nice place to meet a friend or business associate for coffee. They have outdoor seating, as well as stuffed chairs and sofas inside. There is also an area with tables and computer connections. Ive not eaten their food but the cookies and pastries do look yummy.
Extrordinary staff willing to go above and beyond. After inadvertently wandering in well after closing, they were still courteous and helpful, even going so far as to reopen the register so I could purchase a pound of coffee. The shop is cozy without being cramped, and there are all of the expected drink options. Grounds are available for home brew, from coarse to fine, and are some of the best beans around.
Such a cute coffee shop! Big windows, fireplace, good music, delicious pastries and of course good coffee.
Love the atmosphere! Coffee was good and the goat cheese, red pepper quiche was delicious.
Great coffee, tea, homemade pop tarts & baked goods! Baristas are nice and knowledgeable.
Tasty coffee. First time there and barista was friendly and gave me the lay of the land. I have heard the quiche is tremendous. Will try it soon.
I love this coffee shop! Amazing, fast service, delicous food, and everyone there is so nice! Jersey Java is a perfect place to come and enjoy a vanilla latte and a crumb cake. If thats what your into. They have muffins like cranberry orange, cinnamon, apple, and more, and also have iced teas and scones. Very best coffee shop! Would choose it over Starbucks!
Great coffee shop, fireplace very inviting great place to relax read and do some work.
Great place to sit and have a coffee or cool ginger peach drink.Sit in sun or shade or indoors. Perfect!
I love coming here! You can find all age groups. Great Pineapple Coconut muffins and many varieties of Quiche! Cappuccino is very good! I give you a 10!
A cozy little coffee shop that is perfect for getting a bite to eat and having a nice conversation
The quiches are amazing! Hit the spot. And they have quite a great authentic tea selection.
Went in to get a cappuccino and a latte to-go and it’s clear that they don’t cater to or care about to-go orders. Yes the latte art is nice and all but I wanted something larger than 12oz and was told my only option besides drip coffee would be a misto - yuck. I get that there’s may be a traditional Italian size for lattes and that’s cool and all but it comes off as pretentious and obnoxious. Can I get a large cup of steamed milk with some espresso shots and not call it a latte, then? No? Ok I’ll go elsewhere.
Started going weekly and this place is very nice. Great service and nice hangout. Coffee is very good! Would rather be here than go to any Starbucks!
I had a great experience playing open mic here at Jersey Java and Tea for the first time! I definitely recommend checking this place out for fresh tunes and brew! Peace and love yall.
The coffee here is fantastic!
Really nice coffee shop in Haddonfield. Great selection of coffee, espresso and tea. Nice comfy couches to get some work done. I find my self here a few times a month to just enjoy the coffee and get some work done on my laptop.
Wonderfully appointed, friendly (but not smarmy friendly) service, and tasty products.
Always very fast, friendly and tasty! The drinks are very good and the snacks are tasty. Parking sucks, but it is haddonfield so one already expects that.
Every time I go to Haddonfield it is a mandatory stop to visit Jersey Java! I love the atmosphere.. And the staff is very friendly and nice.Im looking forward to come back soon ;)
Freshly brewed coffee and teas with delightful baked goods too, its a hipsters paradise. Despite not being one, I greatly enjoyed my time at Jersey Java and would recommend coming here to spend a few hours.
Espresso too acidic with a grapefruit flavor, stop going cause they would not use a different bean upon request. Limited menu as well.
New favorite coffee place after other local places have closed. They have really good snacks and awesome cold brew.
Very good local coffee spot. Very large seating area and plenty of outlets, so it makes for a great place to get work done. The crowd varies; a lot of high schoolers come in after 3, and mostly old people at night, with a smattering of young professionals during the day. Their espresso drinks are great; with real coffee taste to them rather than the sugary concoctions you get at Starbucks. Plus, they carry wine here too, which combined with the outdoor seating area should make for a nice wine garden in the warmer months, a nice luxury to have in a town with absurd and archaic liquor laws.
I love the coffee here. Baristas are friendly and fun to talk to. Great open mic nights and great atmosphere to relax.
If you could create the ideal neighborhood coffee place, it would be like this. And judging by the steady stream of customers through the door, many agree. Service is very friendly. Closing hours are occasionally erratic. I do miss the shabby kid-friendliness of its predecessor, Three Beans, but overall, Jersey Java is doing a really nice job.
Great place, friendly staff! Sometimes coffee tastes burnt
Quaint coffee shop with delicious food and coffee - especially their cold brew. They also have a cute outdoor seating area . Parking usually isn’t an issue because you can easily get street parking . I love coming here to study or read . They have lots of seating and the staff is friendly
Nice place, great ambience, but they randomly decide when they close at night.
100% the best place to get coffee in South Jersey. The staff are well-trained and friendly, the atmosphere is well thought out and expertly implemented. Not only do they use local roaster Square One for their coffee beans, but they also feature rotating guest roasters. Real coffee experts!!There are homemade, fresh baked goods that easily out-do any bakery or pastry shop in the area. Plus, the smell of them cooking from the back of the shop adds to the wonderful atmosphere. You can pre-order the baked goods for catering (including their AMAZING POPTARTS!!) and are a wonderful alternative to chain stores when bringing in treats for the classroom or office party!And...if that isnt enough, they sell local wine. Whole and half bottles. Red, white, and fruity seasonal blends. You can buy it and drink it there or take it home or get one bottle for each!Coffee, wine, comfortable atmosphere, and knowledgeable, friendly staff. Ive been a loyal customer for more than 5 years, and wont get my coffee from anywhere else in South Jersey!
Spacious place to hang out with good coffee and light bites, and importantly, theyre open a bit later than most other places on Sunday evenings. Also, their partially shaded patio is one of the best places to hang out in all of South Jersey.
