Im a wreck, scallop and lobster diver in Massachusetts (cold water) and have done 100+ dives in semi dry suits that never fit right. No interest in buying a dry suit that needs constant repairs and turns you into a floating bag, so I put up with suits that didnt feel right for years. Those off the hanger suits were so tight in any size (Im a bulky guy) they sent my blood pressure through the roof, and overall reduced the quality of diving. Enter Wetwears custom suit... it fits me like a glove. I ordered a 7mm jumpsuit with a 5mil shorty to go over it and I am stunned how comfortable it feels. The craftsmanship is stunning. And all for significantly less than the cost of dry suit. I love it!

Connie is great. I contacted Wetwear to custom fit a new wetsuit I got and the help Connie provided is above and beyond 5 stars. If you have any wetsuit needs I recomend to come see them. I learned how to propperly put a wetsuit on (after years of using them) and we both came with some great customization ideas for the small little issues I got while kitesurfing.

I have been a loyal customer of Wetwear for over 10 years. I had to replace my old 5mm suit with a new one, because I actively dove it for over 9 years. Connie whipped out another great and perfectly tailored suit for me. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a proper fitting wetsuit that will last and is warm.

I am quite tall and skinny and as a result regular wet suits just dont fit me at all. I was told to try Wetwear and it was definitely a great decision! The custom wet suit they made for me fits perfectly! Not to mention the arm and leg zippers, which make putting it on and taking it off quick and painless.

Male Diver) Awesome! I dive in water from 40 degrees to 80 degrees depending on the time of year. Connie suggested a full 5mm suit with a 5mm jumper made to go over the top. This has given me the flexibility to have as much as 10mm in my core but still have mobility i need with students. I have had my suit for four months now and have around 50 dives on it. The quality is top notch, it has shown zero signs of wear. I love the fit as well. I go to the gym a bit and have a large upper frame and a smaller waist size. I used to have to wear a 3xl to fit my chest and shoulders and I was still constricted in the arms. But, I was freezing to death due to being so big around the waist. I am more comfortable in this full 5mm and 5mm jumper than I am in my off the shelf 3mm suit. I dove a 44 degree lake and I was surprised I wasnt colder. It was beyond the limits of what it was designed for but did well. Ill still dive a dry suit next time though. I spend a lot of time stationary with students and I love not having the cold distract me anymore. Get the zippered arms and legs. Wow. Getting in and out is very easy. Connie and her husband spent quite a bit of time helping to make a the right decisions. Thanks so much!

So the suit I got was great, Being with a Public Safety Team the Zippers are the best thing after sliced bread (time), BUT THE TURN AROUND TIME 5 MONTHS AND 4 FITTINGS IS NOT WORTH IT. If I was not local and could just drive over I would have charged back my card and canceled my order. again GREAT suit, but not worth the wait.

All in all, my experience with WetWear was extremely poor. Just glance through the reviews on their Facebook or yelp pages and youll see a lot of similar stories. I went against literally everyones advice and ordered anyway because my last experience with them was OK and literally all they had to do this time was cut one old hood apart and copy it.I placed an order in November in 2016 and ever since then, they treated me like a nuisance and repeatedly ignored phone calls, voicemails and emails. Only after I had a friend say something in public to them at a trade show did they ever seem to give a **** about my transaction. All I needed them to do was take the hood I gave them (that they made) and cut it apart and duplicate it, add one inch to the neck and make two of them. This took one and a half years to accomplish. And when I got the first round of hoods that weren’t anything like what I asked for, the guy that works there (Gene I belive his name is) lied to me and told me he did duplicate my hood despite the seams being all wrong and the forehead being way off. I had to send them pictures of me wearing the old one to confirm. No apology was offered (a running theme with WetWear). It would be another year before they could make this right. And after it all they tried to charge me even more money for shipping while claiming they charged me half of what they actually did. I’m scared to look at my credit card statements to see if they’ve been charging me for shipping every time, as they tried to do this without my knowledge and only called when the card was declined (they had this card on file from the original order and it actually expired in the time it took to deliver my product). Connie actually told me she only charged me for one hood as a courtesy for taking so long. I showed her my credit card receipt showing I paid $291 back in November 2016 and proving otherwise, another email ignored and I have been offered no refund. My hoods finally arrived in May 2018 and I wore one on a dive at Wakulla and it’s fine. For two hoods that are meant to be identical, they are not. The seam change I requested on the chin only exists on one hood. The other hood has a totally different seam situation. They both fit slightly different. And one of the hoods has a small piece of neoprene spliced in on the neck. I guess because it was too small and they needed to add some neoprene without remaking the hood? All in all, I’m glad I didn’t need the money or the hoods or I would’ve handled this a lot differently. If it was an expensive custom wetsuit, I’m not sure how I would’ve reacted.BUYER BEWARE
