Check in at guard very nice guy he’ll give you directions to where you need to be. Jupiter receiving is the brown building. Don’t block docks someone will come out to get your paperwork. You’ll drive all the way around the property stay along the fence to come back up where you entered just so you can back in the door your assigned without blind siding.Chock your wheels make sure your on the scale in dock properly.

Cold-mill operator. 13+ years. I just keep my head down do my job and go home. Management can be cut-throat and savages towards each other.(which I dont understand) I steer clear of the that mess. I know my place. People take things to personal now-a-days. No employee is forced to stay at Jupiter, If you dont like your job try to better yourself and find something else. Im genuinely happy for guys who get a better gig and can spend more time with there family. My advice to any young job seekers out there looking at reviews trying to decide if Jupiter Aluminum is the place for him/her is this. If your married, or have small children you wont see them much. Do take your significant other into consideration also because your wfe/gf/bf is going to take 25% off your responsibility as a parent simply because your WORKING or sleeping. Thats it. If your single and just wanna make money this is the place for ya. Not all but MOST cold-mills, finishing, maintenance is on a 7-12s schedule. 5am to 5:30 pm for 7 days straight. 12 hour shifts. Followed by 4 days off (long weekend sat-tues) Then come back on Wednesday night 5:00pm to 5:30 am 7 days straight 12 hour shifts. Followed by 3 days off (wed-fri). Then repeat.. etc...etc... hope this helps✌️

Very efficient process. Guard is thorough in directions around the facility. The routing around is well marked. Unloaders are helpful with instructions on procedure. Easy backs onto scales/docks. No overnight parking.

I get loaded in 10 mins. Just be careful with aluminium coil loads. I had 43000lbs of 4 coils, 1 in front, 2 middle and 1 in back. Secured with single strap from all sides and I was on US30 signal lights when my strap from middle break and 2 coils move forward and get damaged with trailer too... Ask them to nail some wood with pallets, or just put more straps in front of coils. Good luck

Vary ride guard. My appt. was at 2:00pm was there 40 minutes early. He told me thay do not have me on the list. I asked if I could pull up and call dispatch. He told me I have to leave the lot or I will be trespassing and he would call the police.

For truckers. No overnight parking. There is a plaza at the front but did not see any truck parked there. Nearest sleep location i94 exit 2 pilot. 10 parking spots only. I slept at exit 6 i94 TA. Courteous security guard and other staff members. Helps you back at the dock. Takes 1 hour to unload.

After 10+ years of work, I let that place go on 5/23. I feel a lot better knowing I am not working there anymore. Good people to work with but the low pay, bad safety issues, lack of management communication, and organization, has all brought this place down over the years. I finally found an out and I took it...

Not too bad for delivery about an hour to get unloaded. Pay attention in there though it’s a lot going on.

Haul van freight in. Once you get in a dock its not so bad. But the wait to get a dock can be long. And its kinda screwy. Check in, park off to the left, then drive around and around to employee X. Dont get out to open your trailer doors till ol boy tells you to. Do some 90 degree docking. Restroom is a porta potty

They stink up the whole area with pollutants. I cant even breath because the air is so caustic. Considering moving just because of this. Companies like this are thought to provide good jobs, but their jobs are a joke. Instead they take advantage of the community, pay workers poorly, and ruin air quality and the environment for generations. The long term impacts of the poisons they emit need to be investigated thouroully by a non-biased independent study. Many people have allergies and respiratory issues that result directly from operations such as these that remain unclean and unchecked. Nw Indiana has a much higher rate of respiratory issues than anywhere else in the state as a result. Move out of the dark ages Jupiter!
