This was by far the best experience I have ever had across 4 moves with U-haul. This facility has it down! It took about 5 minutes to pickup my equipment and all of the employees were really friendly!

Terrible that’s I reserve a dolly & one was not able to be provided. Natalie and Alma tried to assist me to beat of their ability however no dollys in area. This is a billion dollar industry I’m certain. How am I supposed to get my washer & dryer out ? Such a shame!

Horrible, I made an appointment a month in advance to get a hitch installation and paid up front because they wont let you make the appointment otherwise. I show up for my appointment just to be told they are NOT installing hitches because they have nobody to install them and havent for a long time. Also, they dont have the parts for my installation because theyre on back order. All this and I never even got a phone call to maybe tell me to go somewhere else or say they couldnt do it. How about giving me my money back. Nope I had to ask for the refund then wait 10 days for it to hit my card so I could book it somewhere else. Never doing business with them again

After renting a storage unit for nearly 6 months with Hammond Uhaul, I would recommend this location to all my family and friends when needing extra storage space. While living in-between apartments during a pandemic, Natalie and her team have been amazing, very generous and trustworthy with all of my belongings! Though I must say this location doesn’t have “state of the art” or updated units, this makes it quite difficult to move furniture at night since there are no lights inside of the units. Nonetheless, with the first months rent free and easy access to making payments, I definitely will be a future customer whenever I am need again!

They waited until the last moment to even acknowledge us, and when they did, they had us wait another 20 minutes until I asked whats going on and they said that they were busy with other things and after 10 minutes they finally attended us.

When youre at a U-Haul establishment THAT IS NEAREST YOU they never have equipment that they promote. But they are fast to take your credit card information to reserve something they cannot produce.My journey starts in Indianapolis, Indiana to drop off my son to serve at the Army base national guard where my vehicle left me abandoned and I had it towed to a shop that was preying ripping me off.So I seen U-Haul and decided to tow it on an air transfer with Truck here down the block on Lafayette Rd.The dispatcher was quick to take my bank card info and reserve.I walk down the block and they dont have any air transfers in stock. The nearest is 15 miles away and remember, Im on foot,180 miles away from home.Anyways...I call my wife so she can pick up a truck and Air transfer nearest home.. .. AGAIN QUICK TO TAKE YOUR BANK INFORMATION AND THEY DONT HAVE ONE EITHER... AGAIN NEXT TOWN OVER.So they made the reservation @12 pm originally in the next town over for her to pick up... GUESS WHAT!!!! YUP! Nothing for my wife to take because THE TAIL LIGHTS ON THE AIR TRANSFER DONT WORK. WHY RESERVE ME SOMETHING I CANNOT TAKE AND WASTE MY TIME. I COULDNT EVEN PUT A BAD REVIEW FOR CALUMET RIVER OAKS LOCATION BECAUSE THEYRE WEBSITE HAS ISSUES...... JUST LIKE THE ESTABLISHMENT.NOW GOING ON 6PM AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS DUMP IS CLOSED.ALL THEYRE GOOD FOR IS BOXES AND TAPE.

Asked for a pickup truck, with 4 pickups sitting in there lot, they tell me non are available. Funny how this place is know for that same issue. I understand that 20 dollars isnt much but that shouldnt stop them from renting them out. If thats the case higher the price smh.

Worse place ever the people working the in there are on there phones walking back and forth doing nothing Waisting peoples time like the people there have time to waist no good never will go back

After reserving with mobile phone pickup which did not work! I had to enter the hammond location to complete my pickup. Natalie was very helpful and pleasant, she completed my process pulled the van out and even asked if I needed additional time considering the weather was bad. I had no issues with the service at this location.

Uhaul saved us from spending more money than necessary. Budget did not have the truck available that we requested. Thank God someone canceled at Uhaul. We used the truck and got it back in no time.

Great customer service, had trucks available, i had no reservation and they got me out the door in 8 mins, would have been sooner but my alternate contact didnt answer the phone at first, overall a great experience. Im a happy camper and i got my job done on time, thanks again and i will be back for sure

I Can honestly say that the customer service at this u haul is phenomenal. Ive rented from here multiple times and each time is the same great service Natalie and deja ....you two young ladies keep doing a great job!!

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!!!! I would put negative 1 if that were possible. They have reservations nationally answer the phone and lie about price and ability to do the job. I reserved a hitch install for 30 minutes after the call after working a 12 hour shift. I got to the store they repeated themselves we dont do that at the end of the month multiple times when i explained I had a reservation for 8 am they just laughed in my face. This is Friday and was told this couldnt be done till Monday.. I was told my old hitch could most likely be removed free Unless there was major damage to it. At the store without even looking at it they told me it would be an additional $150 dollars which nearly doubled the price. When I voiced my displeasure loudly Ernesto they manager and the other guy acted like they werent connected with U haul and then became menacing towards me.So to sum it up after being lied to about multiple things I was treated rudely and felt threatened by the manager of this location. Go there at your own peril!!!!!!!!

The service here was fantastic! The staff was awesome and they were right to the point with helping get the truck I needed to get the job done!The store was really clean and Daisha was defintley a peoples person when it came to getting the documents in order! I would recommend people to come to this location if they are seeking services and satisfaction!

Bad news! The yard man did not screw down the tongue of the car carrier trailer I rented! When I pulled my car onto carrier the Uhaul trailer hopped off the hitch and lunged forward striking and piercing holes in my truck causing over $4000.00 of damage! They claim they screwed it down but the yard man was talking to his girlfriend on cell and in another place when he hooked it up. Moral of the story; Dont use this Uhaul yard and if you do, be sure to check to see your trailer is hooked up properly! These people dont have a clue here!

Horrible customer service yesterday, needed to rent motorcycle trailer & we got there 45 min before closing time, waited over half hour for man behind the counter to tell us that since there were only 10 minutes left until closing he couldnt help us. He kept telling us he would take care of us but first he needed to cut down the line, we were patient & waited while he helped some other people & what did we get for our patience, no service! Very unprofessional.

It’s 6:39 PMOlder lady tells me it’s a 630 cutoff time for propane fill . I waited 15 mins . Ridiculous customer service. Absolutely trash .

Great service knowledgeable professional and courteous, manager is very hands on as he was in the parking lot picking up trash.

Was told they had a part for my trailer hitch in stock. When my son arrived to pick it up they couldnt find it. an hour later I received a text stating that my install was ready. so I then drove out to pick up the part only to be told that they dont have the part, they never had the part and it wasnt ordered. So I ordered the $39.00 part and when it came in I was called to pick it up. When my son went to pick it up he was charged nearly $75.00 (74.31) for a part that was $30.99 plus shipping and tax ($38 and change) So i guess this is a $36.00 inconvenience fee for you having to do your job?

MY DAUGHTER RENTED THE TRUCK THE PERSON THAT RENTED THE TRUCL TP HER COMPLETELY MISS IMFORMED HER ON COST, DEPOSIT, MILEAGE ETC..... I would not recommendusing this partixular location.

So unorganized! I made an appointment for 7 AM for an installation on my car. I confirmed the location / address. However, when I arrived, I was told that yes I had made the appointment ( in the system) but that it was an error because he did not have an installer on this day. Very curt, not customer friendly.
