Man, where do I start. First off, the shop is beautiful, so many cool pieces of art and jewelry to browse while waiting. Not to mention they have areas to wait with TVs, pool table, and more to keep entertained.I got my first tattoo here and I couldnt have made a better choice. The detail and artwork is exactly what I dreamed of and my artist (Merv Heiner) made sure that I was completely comfortable with the design.He also put on the stencil and had me check again to make sure I loved the placement as well.Everyone was very friendly and since I had an almost full day session they even checked in to see if I wanted lunch when others in the shop were ordering.Not only did I receive amazing customer service, but the tattoo is exactly what I wanted. I couldnt be more thrilled to have done my first tattoo here and Ill definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks to Black Lotus and Merv for the best experience I couldve asked for.

So, this has to be the nicest shop I’ve been to yet. The owner has invested a ton of money in to his place and it really shows. Danny B needs to be mentioned by name because he is putting THE nicest piece I’ve ever witnessed in person on my fiancée. He’s also a very personable guy that I had a lot of fun chatting with while he was working. I look forward to returning soon.

Missy was so professional and helpful. Beyond understanding about my needs and making sure I got exactly what I wanted. When I saw that I had made a decision I later disliked, she was so willing to make sure I got a piercing I loved. I love that she follows up with her clients monthly to make sure the piercing is healing well and if needed will find time to get someone in if something feels wrong. Its a beautiful, clean shop, with some of the most talented artists Ive ever come across.When it comes to booking you appointment though, Id inquire about prices first. I wanted to get my ear pierced, so I booked an appointment online and put down the $50 deposit. Upon arrival, during the consultation, I was quoted over $1000 for an ear piercing (with cubic zirconium)The lowest price option available was $400 for a gold ring.I can respect that theyre incredibly high end, and this is where you go for fine jewelry, but $1000 for an earring seems excessive. So I declined to move forward.I tried to see if they could apply my $50 deposit to a future tattoo appointment instead, but was told no.So, if youre someone on the frugal side, like myself, just know what youre getting into.

Ive gotten a lobe piercing here in the past, with some amazing titanium studs that work perfectly for healing and every day wear. I also came in to get advice for a piercing done elesewhere that was not healing right, and was able to get it swapped out for more suitable jewelry. Corina is excellent, and Ill be coming here for all future piercings. Their jewelry is definitely a bit pricey, but I would rather shell out the money for quality work and jewelry than get a deal elsewhere that has poor quality.

The is the most awesome tattoo parlor I have ever been in! Clean, professional, creative, eerie, cool, artistic, & genuine. Shana has been very helpful & her creative ability & skills are out of a comic book & into this world!! Such a dope place. The employees are nice & friendly to talk to. No judgements are felt & they have nice furniture & entertainment for you as you wait for service. Also its COVID-FREE! Checkem out!

This is by far the cleanest, most professional shop I’ve ever been to. Everyone was super friendly and my piercer, Missy, was very sweet and knowledgeable. Corinna went over my aftercare and she was great as well. The shop itself has a really cool art gallery, snacks, and even smells really nice lol. The only caveat is that I would definitely consider this an upscale shop, so make sure you keep this in mind as far as price goes. There’s an amazing selection of jewelry, and I love the piece I got, but I was looking for something a little less costly as I plan to put in a hoop I already own once it’s healed anyway. I just wasn’t expecting to spend $130 for a piece of jewelry I didn’t really want and I kind of felt put on the spot. To get my nose pierced cost me $220 plus a tip.

I just love this place! I went here last month to have a nose piercing looked at, which they did not do I had done somewhere else. I was able to call and get a appointment A.S.A.P!!!! I went in and saw Corina whom helped me and was sooooo pleasant and professional to work with. Long story short if you need a piercing professionally done or tattoo this is the place. The staff are awesome and so welcoming from the time you come in until the time that you leave, it’s clean, and so beautiful. I definitely recommend this shop. Thanks again Corina for seeing me!!!!

I just got back from getting my right daith pierced with Corina. She did a fabulous job and I am so happy with my new piercing! She was really sweet and explained the process to me in detail before we started.My only small complaint is the price of the jewelry; it was a lot more than I thought it would be for a simple ring. The jewelry is very high quality though.All in all, great experience!! If I decide to get another piercing, I wont hesitate to go back!

Loved my experience at Black Lotus. Ive wanted a couple specific tattoos for over twenty years but it never felt the right time. It finally felt the right point in my life and I did a ton of research and got recommended to Black Lotus bit another tattoo artist.I have zero regrets. This place was great, the atmosphere is amazing (my kind of quirky/fantasy/nerd/geek). Lil Dan had exactly the art style I wanted and am incredibly happy with what I ended up with. The place is clean and very professional but also just very real. Would definitely recommend and return for more work.

Halo before ink masters was a decent human being after absolute trash he let the show get to his ego. The “start wars” truck looked very cartoonish. Had some amazing talent in the shop and was forced out the door via halos ego and mannerisms he needs to come back to reality and realize that people will never operate like unemotional androids.

Had a great experience getting my conch pierced and my lobe re-threaded (I thought it closed but it was just clogged up).Missy is great! She explains things very thoroughly, and is great about checking in with you throughout the piercing process. I knew I wanted my ear pierced but wasnt sure where. She looked at my ear and said my conch would be a great spot. She even considered my glasses when looking at potential spots! After the piercing, she clearly explained how to take care of the piercing site and reassured me she was available for any questions after I got home.The jewelry is exquisite and the price reflects that-- I wish Id known that up front but was willing to splurge so it wasnt a huge deal.I followed up with Corina a month later, and she is awesome too. She was gentle while examining and changing my bar. And, shes a great explainer! She asked detailed questions and offered really good guidance.All in all, I love my new jewelry and the sparkle its brought to my life!

The only place I use for piercing. I fly in from out of state because Missy’s knowledge, professionalism, medical like precision and jewelry cannot be beat. She has continued to curate my ear perfectly and every piece adds to and flows with the last. 100% worth the trip to Baltimore!

Second tattoo but my first time at this shop, over all a super pleasant experience! Shop is SUPER clean, great energy among the artists, and as an added bonus the bathroom is super cool (just trust me on this one). Larry did my first half sleeve and was professional, kind, and answered any questions I had! Ill definitely be back for my next one.

I got my first piercing!!!Missy is such a sweetheart and really cares about her customers!I originally came for an eyebrow piercing, couldnt get it for reasons and got a conch instead! I LOVE IT! She was amazing! Would definitely go get pierced again!

I was fortunate to recieve a tattoo by the extremely skilled Kaitlyn Stockon. She was the perfect person for the tattoo I had requested and had wonderful bedside manner. During my time getting the tattoo, the other artists and receptionist treated me with hospitality and friendliness. I found the art gallery to be extremely clean, profressional, welcoming and I couldnt recommend a better place to go.

The artist was amazing. The shop is open, which was not my preference but I think they had some private spaces for when its needed. The office manager is the reason I wont be going back here. Ive heard shes close to the owner and he will never get rid of her no matter how much business they lose to her attitude. Which is a shame, the artists are truly talented and deserve better.

I had a wrist tattoo done here a few years ago and recently came for a consultation and appointment setup! Everyone has been nothing but kind and helpful. The artists are all extremely talented so you know youll get something quality. The place is always very clean and beautifully decorated with gorgeous art!

I went in to get my nostril pierced and Missy was the sweetest soul on the earth. I was a ~little~ nervous about the healing process and she made me feel so comfortable. I didn’t even realize she pierced me, to be honest - it was so smooth and painless! She took the time to educate me and tell me everything I needed to know before I even had to ask! Not to mention, the shop is GORGEOUS and the bathroom is Harry Potter themed - BIG FAN. Jewelry selection = 10/10 recommend too. So cute.

Drove all the way from Cleveland to come here with my sister for her appointment with Halo. This was my first experience in the shop and I am blown away. It is the most warm and welcoming business I have ever set foot in. To say it is beautiful would not do it justice. I could barely tear myself away from the breathtaking artwork to look at the incredible and unique jewelry pieces. The staff is amazing, friendly, and professional. Watching everyone in the shop you can see how much they care about their clients and the quality of their work. The shop is not just clean, it is immaculate. I love it here. The tattoo/piercing shop is an experience in itself! From the oil paintings on every wall, the sculptures, even the bathrooms are insane. You can see the hardwork put into this shop. Missy and Corina got me set up with the proper jewelry and a good care routine and I saw a huge difference in a month. They have a huge jewelry selection and they’re really knowledgeable so if your thinking about coming here for a piercing or to fix an existing one, even getting new jewelry, DO IT. I couldn’t be happier with my experience here.

I’ve had a few tattoos at various shops and nothing compares to the professional and friendly atmosphere of Black Lotus. The shop is cleaner than my doctors office and decorated in a warm, unique way. The staff from my initial phone call to my final payment were always 5 star. Plus there’s always good music on and tv shows to binge watch while waiting and getting tattooed.I had so much anticipation for my scheduled tattoo dates with Danny B and the work of art he put on my arm is a masterpiece. It’s exactly what I wanted and he helped me reach the final concept. When I came to him it was just a photo and he came up with some ideas to really bring it to life and I couldn’t be happier. As I was being tattooed he was always making sure I wasn’t in pain and he was great at working breaks into our sessions. I came for a tattoo and I could’ve stayed for more conversation with he and any member of the staff. I actually ended up staying to check the size of my ear plugs and that process in itself was also 5 out of 5. The overall experience is 10 out of 10 stars. I already have more appointments scheduled in the future. Thank you!

I’ve never written a review before but I had such an amazing experience at black lotus. I had my septum pierced by Karina. She was incredibly friendly and she walked me through every step of the process (including going over sterilization information), which I thought is incredibly thoughtful and professional, considering this was my first septum piercing. I’m so happy with my choice to go to black lotus.

I got my helix pierced with Missy. It was my first time in the shop and everyone made it an extremely welcoming environment. The shop is very clean and Missy is so thorough in explaining her process and ensuring I knew exactly what was happening in every moment and that I was completely comfortable. Even with COVID, I felt as if my comfort and safety was the number one priority. Not to mention the jewelry options in the shop are so gorgeous! Black Lotus is the most warm, professional, beautiful tattoo or piercing shop I’ve ever been to. I have gotten multiple piercings there, and got a fairly large tattoo as well. If you can manage to tear yourself away from the walls filled with paintings (it truly is an art gallery- they could charge admission just for that part) to remember why you came, you’re sure to have an excellent experience no matter what you’re having done. They are great about cleanliness, especially with Covid- I felt secure the whole time. The artists are knowledgeable and kind, adapting to your needs, whether you’re old hat and you know exactly what you want done, or it’s your first time and are nervous. They take the time to explain exactly what they are doing and why. Consent, cleanliness, comfort and communication are clearly very important to them!

I just had my first tattoo done here. I am so happy with it. My artist Kirsten did a wonderful job. This tattoo was something that is very important to me to honor my mom who I lost recently to suicide and now shes my guardian angel 😇 I love the shop, immediately walking in felt good. There are not enough good things to say about the studio, the artists, the space, the quality of the art. Best studio I have ever been too. Kirsten, who did my tattoo, is beyond a good artist. She was both open to and enthusiastic about my tattoo idea (which was big...and a lot of ideas). She was able to take all my ideas and create a one-of-a-kind curated piece that I will have forever. I am incredibly picky when it comes to getting a tattoo, because it is a unique piece of art that is on my body and says something about me as a person. I had the absolutely best experience at Black Lotus Tattoos yesterday! Upon first entering the whole staff was so nice and fun. The ladies at the reception area were super nice and friendly. I was checked in and soon greeted by Artist Danny B which I had an appointment with. We had previously discussed my design, so he took his time to draw it up, we went over a few things, made some small changes and were set to go! He was an amazing artist, nice and he checked on me throughout the process since I sat for so long. His work is phenomenal and he rocked out my design perfect! A Day of the Dead Inspired portrait!! I couldn’t be happier with my new piece! All the artist seem nice and they were having fun convo in the shop while tattooing. I highly recommend booking with any of them, especially Danny. The shop was super clean and comfortable and has a cool vibe to it, filled with artwork you could get lost admiring it all. Check them out! It’s so worth waiting for an appt.

The new Black Lotus tattoo shop is nothing short of amazing!!! They went all out in making it an experience and comfortability for the customer. Even during this COVID mess the shop has went above and beyond for safety making sanitizer and gloves readily available. There is plenty of markings for social distancing and the shop is exceptionally clean. Now to the actual artists my latest is from Danny B who does awesome black and grey work. But truly every single artist is here for what the style they specialize in. This is truly the absolute best tattoo shop I’ve ever been in with the absolute best artist hands down.

First all I have to say is Shana is amazing. From the initial talk to getting tattooed she is fantastic! I started getting a triple cover up last month, and am heading back to get my last touch ups shortly. And I am so beyond excited. Absolutely amazing staff! Super clean and professional. I’ve been to dozens of shops around the world and this is one of the best if not THE BEST. Missy, their piercer, is super awesome and, of course, Halo and his crew are superb artists. Not enough good things can be said about these folks. Check them out and you’ll never go anywhere else.

This is the place to go for piercings! Everytime I come in I feel welcomed and the employees are awesome. Their are very organized, extremely clean and their studio is amazing. The moment I walked in I knew this would be my shop. Every step of the process was filled with friendly, competent, and artistic people. Little Dan was amazing to work with and I’ve gotten nothing but compliments on his work. I was able to see some of the other artists at work and they’re nothing short of awesome. The shop is spotless and hygiene is taken very seriously. Even if you just go in to browse the art and look at all the collectibles, it’s worth a visit. I can’t wait to come back for my next piece!

(Post by Sara C) I visited Missy and Corina last weekend because after 15 years I decided I needed more piercings (I wanted 2 to be done on the same day). I was pretty nervous since I had to go alone and my last piercing experience at another shop was not the best. Walking into the store I was a bit overwhelmed with how beautiful the shop was. The art is amazing. I love how it is set up. The store was very clean and they are taking appropriate measures to keep the shop sterilized. Corina was extremely nice and provided so much information on all of the gorgeous jewelry the store had to offer. I actually enjoyed the piercing process. Corina and Missy really helped me relax. Missy is amazing. Both piercings were done really well and only a week later I forget they are there often - not sore at all and look perfect! They provided clear steps on the aftercare and are always available for help. I highly recommend this store!

Overall my experience at Black Lotus was great. My tattoo artist was Merv and he did a fantastic job completing a half sleeve on me. The atmosphere of the shop was very creative and relaxing. Definitely recommend!

First time at Black Lotus today and all I can say is WOW! The place is beautiful and their work is fantastic. LD did my tattoo and I was 100% comfortable giving general guidelines for what I wanted and letting him take the artistic reigns to do whatever - I wasn’t disappointed! My new tattoo is awesome and absolutely worth the money. I’d go there again any time.

The shop is EXTREMELY clean and smells lovely. The decor in the shop is fun and can entertain you for hours, but not enough so that you’d worry about it collecting dust- the place is spotless. Great piercing selection from what I saw and the individual rooms are very private and tastefully done. Not what I’m used to with tattoo places, used to being out in a chair or bed in the middle of the studio- so this was calming and private.Will be back

I had a very good experience getting a piercing. The shop is very clean and nice. Missy is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions that I had. I would definitely recommend this shop to everyone.

I just had my first tattoo session with Declan and I don’t even know where to start cause that’s how HAPPY I am 😩🥺 HE IS AMAZING y’all! From start to finish he was awesome. Communicated and kept it professional. I appreciate his honesty and trusted his suggestions. Honestly even though they are a drive from me, I will make the drive again and again whenever I want new ink! I am super happy with his work and can’t wait for the second sesh! Thank you to Emily (hoping I’m spelling it right) as well for her great customer service and just overall niceness. Great team y’all have there! Also the spot is just amazingly clean and cute!!!

She prepped and explained everything I needed to know and reviewed my aftercare understanding kindly.Missy took great care of me during the piercing explaining everything as she went, making me feel very comfortable.An experience that could have been very nerve racking was actually peaceful.I absolutely recommend being pierced at the Black Lotus!

If you have an idea and can’t put it on paper yourself, go see Larry.Easily the cleanest shop I’ve been in and the most professional/friendly. The staff was very kind to not just me, but everyone that they interacted with. I am already looking forward to another session!

Corina is very sweet and funny. It was easy to relax with her as she replaced my hood piercing. Ive seen a piece of jewelry that I want so Ill absolutely go back. The shop has great ambience in addition to being very clean.

When it comes to tattoos you get what you pay for and Black Lotus is top quality.Staff is very welcoming and the shop itself is inviting and clean. I have had a great experience every time I’ve come here and gotten a tattoo and probably wouldn’t go anywhere else. 10/10

Merv Heiner is fantastic (and the rest of the staff too!) He was super chill, and made the best piece out of the bare idea I had in mind. The gallery appeared spotless, and everyone was very friendly. The TVs hung around the room helped the time fly by when my phone went dead. The cleanup, bandage, and recommended aftercare was wonderful and simple. Overall, my experience was top-notch and definitely worth the wait. I plan to return and expand on this piece as well (never enough cats!)

Had a tattoo done by Merv and the end result was way better than I could have expected. The art and decorations that cover the walls make the shop cool enough to stop by even if youre not getting a tattoo. Wouldnt consider going anywhere else.
