I was helped by Scott who was very helpful and friendly. They gave me a great price for my purchase(better then online dealers). The Coin Exchange on South Central Avenue in Hartsdale, New York is a very good place to sell your coin collection. Remember one of the basic economic guidelines for dealers is to buy at discount and sell at a premium. With that understanding the Coin Exchange is professional and fair. I had a modest collection, mostly proof and uncirculated sets. After constructing a detailed inventory I sent emails to six coin dealers asking advice. Scott, from the Coin Exchange, called within two hours of the email and gave me a rough estimate based on the inventory list. One other person emailed me an estimate but the Coin Exchange’s estimate was about FOUR times this lesser amount. Two other dealers said they were not interested in such a small collection. Two have not responded to date. I took my collection to the Coin Exchange and Scott spent nearly an hour evaluating the collection. The final selling price was quite close to the estimate. Final “grade” for the Coin Exchange is “A.”
