One of the last honest mechanics indeed.I was looking around OC area and Long Beach area for a BMW specialist for a while and I was referred by another happy customer to H&R BMW. I met George & Harold and as a fellow European Car/BMW enthusiast we hit it right off.Being a DIYer, there are times you are just unable to do work on the car especially due to time constraints. This is why I believe we all need a mechanic/shop not just who can repair your car but someone you can trust. George & Harold are those two guys.Im on my 3rd german car or my second BMW. There are checklists and work you have to follow to ensure they last forever because they can, and the reality is you cant do it all by yourself even if youre mechanically inclined.Ive been to different shops where they make up stories of what to do with you car.This shop is different. George gets straight to the point. He was very welcoming to what I was trying to accomplish.The pricing is right on point. Not expensive but affordable & reasonable especially if youre maintaining a German car.If youre a fellow BMW DIYer as well or simply needs a shop who can maintain your German car (they also fix Mercedes and other European brands), H&R BMW Id say is great.

Speaking to George about my concern with my bmw, he refused to service my car because he charged me $95 to look where my trans was leaking in my DCT bmw and refill if needed. Simple, however he gave such amount based on the fact that he needed a special pump to provide such procedure. The special pump can be picked up online or at your local parts store for $20. I never felt respected while on the phone with him or in the shop. Its almost as hes lost the passion of working on german cars and doesnt want to work. Im sure hes definitely knowledgeable with the E-Chassis BMWs, but I would not trust him touching anything that is limited edition or newer than 2013. I hope you the best sir, these are hard times, but that not one way to treat a local potential returning customer.
