I was particularly happy to come across this convenience store along our travel path. Not only was it open, conveniently located and very well stocked, the folks inside were very helpful in finding a restaurant for us that was actually open and operating in a sane normal manner there in town. Thank you!

Poor service. Extremely unfriendly cashier. She wasnt wearing a nametag but it was a white woman in her late 40s with a tattoo of a heart on her forearm. I was friendly and she was icy cold and rude. Go get gas somewhere they have manners.

Only bad part about this place that it can control is the horrible truck parking, and the depth of the craters in the lot. High risk for damaging equipment parking here. But the bigger problem is the construction. What city leader approved this nonsense with total disregard to truckers? Id love to see that person navigate the construction zone and safely make it into this location in an 80 foot tractor trailer.

Im not sure, but I believe if you walk inside and use your card it the register you are charged the cash price. Ive always known that theres a surcharge to use your card it the pump, you pay a little extra for the convenience. Try paying at the register. Dont hold me to it, but I believe thats right. 😊

No masks anywhere including the employee. Did not feel safe with all the locals hanging out in the store. I wont be visiting another sinclair especially in Hayes.

Nice quiet place. Clean and lots of places to eat nearby. Truck parking lot is pretty lumpy but manageable.

The truck stop is pretty much shutdown with scattered out construction. Youd think theyd focus on one piece of the truck stop at a time to remain somewhat operational like every other truck in mid remodel but apparently not..... I love small mom and pop style truck stops but this is some bs, I cant even buy a shower here. Skip this place or stop at the Loves instead.

I was here for a 34 Hour break on a Saturday & Sunday. During my stay, the restrooms were always clean. The staff was friendly and even engaged in conversation. There’s not much in the way of food here, but plenty of nearby places.

I will not be giving my business to Sinclair’s anymore.1. The gas price has “cash price” in the fine print on the billboard, which is misleading for the vast majority of customers who pay with card.2. Most instructions for choosing fuel type involve removing the nozzle THEN selecting fuel grade. At Sinclair, it says remove OR select fuel grade. If you remove the nozzle before selecting, it selects the highest priced fuel type by default.3. Finally, when I came in to use the restroom, no employees were wearing masks (this review was written in the middle of the COVID pandemic) and one of the employees was vaping. She wasn’t even trying to hide it, she even blew it in the face of her coworker as a joke.That is all.

Lots of places where you can eat nearby- Arby’s, Freddy’s, Subway, McDonalds...

While staying in Hays Kansas from Kansas City, Mo. I stopped here to gas up before my photo trip. There are several places to chose from but traveling West from my place in the Super 8, this seemed to be the most logical. It has everything expected from a travel stop so no complaints here.

Stopped here for literally decades while traveling I-70. Its okay.

This place used to have showers, but when they remodeled, they didnt reopen them. Not acceptable!

Errrr where to start as a truck stop they provide ONE shower for $8 you get a bathroom that with a closed door the crack in door jamb was big enough to CLEARLY see all the way out into the hall so of course that means the hall can CLEARLY see me (the shower is straight across from that) THEN my HUSBAND is told we cant go in at the same time! We are married and have only ever had to pay for one shower everywhere else! Of course thats one way to get another $8 out of your customers! The horribly stained towels are probably the reason the floor in the bathroom looked disgusting! Not safe, creepy peephole feel to it so avoid at all cost! Especially if your married it seems to cause an issue with them!

Glad I saved my receipt at the pump, Golden Ox doesnt show up on my bank statement and I want to be ready if they try to overcharge me. I had a feeling there, definitely save the receipt on this one. If you pay by card at the pump, dont expect to see the charge or even any hold right away.

This gas station charges you 10 cents extra if you use a card at the pump. They say you get the discount price if you use cash, but still dont give an option to use your card as debit at the pump.In a world where almost everyone uses card, this is kinda dumb.I understand they get charged a swipe fee, but still, this is dumb.

Guess I should have read reviews first. Travelers beware. Ripped off in Hays. Charged an extra $.10/gal using my card. Approached the clerk and was told she couldnt credit my card when I offered to pay in cash. No where posted that the price was more with a card. The kid inside tried to tell me that credit cards charge to be used. Really?! Every other retail establishment advertises with that in mind. Have u ever been to Walmart and paid a higher price when u check out because u used your card?! Hell no, they advertise and run a business knowing people use their cards to do business. This place is a disgrace of a gas station. Will never return.

Nice lil truck stop. $8 for a nice big hot shower. Friendly workers. Hotels & restaurants next door on both sides.

I really appreciate abby she was very nice and very parient with me she was very helpful with all employees and it helped a lot because i was n a panick from the bus leaving me and im from michigan so thank u so much abby for being a really big help if it was up to me i give u 110 percent on employee status lol thanks

Well, I hope nobody needs to take a shower here!! You know, as a truckers wife, I got used to waiting a few days for a shower, I dont LIKE it, but there you go. BUT, when I go in,PAY for a shower and the clerk bangs on the door to tell me that the guy, BEHIND me, had ASKED for a shower BEFORE, but PAID afterwards. That I needed to get out so HE could take a shower!!!! PLUS, in the dimly lit, dirty, room, you had to turn the shower to adjust the temperature from lava hot, to iceberg cold!! Ive NEVER, EVER been treated so rudely after I PAID, for a damn shower!!! I wont be back AND Ill be informing EVERY TRUCKER I KNOW AND POSTING IT ON OUR PAGE!!!! As bad as California is, Ive NEVER been treated like this!!!!

Posted price is for cash? $0.10 more for using a card at the pump, so dont go by the sign. There are better options for a pitstop off the highway at this intersection.

Do not stop here! Posted price does not reflect pump price. If you swipe your card, it does not even give you an opportunity to use debit. Filthy restrooms, and the clerk told me to get on down the road when I asked for name and address of the place so I could contact corporate. I will be contacting corporate. This place gives Valero a bad name.

This is à c-store wiith a small, moon crater lot. But there are many things within walking distance.

Its ok its a Valero gas station just a small lot in the back for maby 20 trucks. This place is also a greyhound pick up/drop off location

Filthy restrooms but Bigger problem is it was a total rip off! Advertised regular gas price same as others in area at $2.05, premium was $2.99 a gallon while other stations selling it at $2.29. This place should be investigated by the state for gouging! Go anywhere else but here, it deserves its bad rating and deserves to be out of business.

Stopped to get gas and all the prices posted said $2.07 but then showed that we would be charged $2.17. rip off!!!!

Parking in back of a conscience store maybe enough room for 15 to 20 trucks

Pepsis were marked 2 for $3.33 on shelf...So were comes and mountain dew...Cashier rang them up as 2 for $3.50 and then got an attitude (slamming cash drawer) when she had to re-ring it...Told me they were marked wrong and so I told her then all the shelves were marked wrong...

Ripoff- a very poorly placed sign does warn that the price displayed is cash only (+10c for credit), but you are not going to notice this knee-level sign until after you already put $100 of gas in your U-Haul truck.
