Ive been going here for years and its come a long way from the harness racing days already. Go Friday if you can, its dollar night. Dollar hot dogs, pop, popcorn and $2 beers. The quality of horses they get are consistent at least, if not the best in the country. The environment is family friendly for the most part, everyone is there just to have a good time and watch some horses.

Always a fun time. Fridays are Dollar Nights which mean the programs are $1 and tall beers are $2. It has real horse racing which is great. Only issue are the betting machines are a gamble. They might take tickets that night, they may only take cash, if youre lucky theyll take both.

Besides a night of horse racing, enjoy food and drinks in an exciting venue. Great for people watching. They have a massive burger, loaded with all the fixens thats out of this world. Has a well supplied buffet if you want that option.

Had fun here on a Saturday night. There were 9 races. Start every 20 minutes so the action was fast. They were running a special for $1 popcorn, dogs, and programs. $2 16 oz. Bud, Bud light, and Molson. I am no gambling expert but the people working the windows were helpful and were friendly dealing with me. You can place $2 minimum bets so you dont have to shell out a ton of money to get in on the action. It was a good time and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different to do on a weekend.

Great place to go on a nice Friday night for cheap hot dogs and beer. Hot dogs $1, 16 oz Buds $2. We try to go 2 - 3 Fridays each summer.

Fun place for some equestrian entertainment. We attended several Saturday evening races and it has always been great. Plenty of food and drinks also, to go with your betting.

Great place to go. Especially on a Friday for the specials. Just dont turn into a regular cuz that would just be sad, although the regulars make for great people watching. It is Hazel Park after all...

Dont expect anything other than hot dogs or Bud Light if you come here. Its strictly about betting horses. The 4th of July fireworks are a great reason to come though.

Ive been going for 30 yrs and this place is great for entertainment. Mgm motor city casino n Greek town are a waste of money. For a $100 here you can have a great time. Also it is kid friendly. Take a look for yourself. Its a gem.

If you are looking for a fun evening out then pick up a few friends and head out to Hazel Park Raceway. Watch the races and have a few beers. Nice time.

I read this in Bogota Colombia this morning that the HP Raceway is closed. Sad to see this happen. My friend from Chrysler Financial days, Jan Howard loved this place too.

This place needs a TON of updating! The service elevator we took for the event attended wouldnt bring itself level with the floor, the carpeting everywhere was stained and outdated, there was an odor of stale cigarettes, and the conference room that was rented for the event was technically just an area of the bidding floor that was away from the screens and wasnt in use. Parking was difficult to understand and it just felt very old and outdated.

Horrid concession worker! Wont put out more free cookies just because she dont like us or something. Give my dad back his tip! She needs to be fired asap.

Surprisingly fun! Went on a Friday and watched about 6 races. Was a little confused on how to bet, but thats on me, not them. Got a McClures bloody Mary - possibly the best Bloody Mary Ive ever had.

If youre looking for a trip back to 1987, then look no further. This sad little dust bowl is a a great spot to throw away your rent check instead of fixing the suspension damage that youll incur on your 1990 Buick LeSabre from the lunar landscape parking lot that probably hasnt seen fresh asphalt since its original paving when Truman was still in office.

Aint nothing better than $2 buds and $1 hot dogs on a Friday night. If only the soul crushing sight of people losing their paychecks wasnt so bad...

Simply put, Horse races, hot dogs or a full dining area and you get an opportinity to spend timenwith horses. Love it for the weekends.

They shoot the most amazing fireworks ever must come and see its on the 30th June 30th of every year

Horrible place, people are the worse .. The food is horrible .. The employees they dont know how approach the people. The toddlers are worry about their own bets and not take the players at consideration. You approach the high level managers and they doesnt care. That place is ridiculously, I hate that is the only place I can do my bets instead do it in internet.

Had great time there july 2, staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, food and drinks were good. Plan to go back on friday and bring grandkids for hotdogs for a buck day!!
