Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Stood in line for 20 mins while guy at the counter helped two women find a part. Not a problem. All 3 cashiers were helping people. Not a problem. Two lines start forming. None of the employees acknowledge the growing number of people waiting or ask one of the other two behind the counter to open a register. The man helping the two women finished helping them, walked away from the counter without a word, and never returned. So everyone in the line I was in were expected to now join the longer line. I put down the items I planned to buy and ordered them from Amazon using my phone in the parking lot. I dont mind waiting, but some communication would go a long way.

My car battery died on Monday, AAA jump-started and ran fine. Then it died again on Wed, jump-started by my neighbor and immediate headed down to this Advanced Auto Parts. This is the first time shopping here. I walked into the store, and immediately, Jorge C made eye contract with me. I told him my battery problem, and he got the info needed for my car and recommended a battery for my car. It was a 3 year battery, and I decided to go with a more expensive 7 year one. He explained to me that the battery needs to be professional installed because of the plastic parts that needed to be removed before removing the battery. He was so nice to carry the battery to my car for me. After I got the new battery installed by Carlos at Foreign Auto Services in Chantilly, a place I get all my car maintenance and repairs done, Carlos informed me to return the old battery to get my core refund. I went back to this Advance Auto Parts. Upon walking into the store, Andrew saw me and immediately offered to assist me. He went out to my car to get the old battery for me, and refunded me the $22. Having a car breaking down can be stressful, but fortunately, I didnt have a place that I needed to be. Advanced Auto Parts and Foreign Auto Services took care of my battery problem in less than an hour. No stress, fast and reliable services. I feel so blessed to have gone to this Advance Auto Parts and have Carlos at Foreign Auto Services to assist me. Thank-you.
I spoke with Caroline about getting new brake shoes for my car then came back for a refund because I bought the wrong product. She was more than helpful, very polite and patient with me. I really appreciate her attitude and generosity .
I understand that the employees in there are probably not mechanics, however, they should get a little more training on batteries. I went to 2 different Advanced Auto Parts (Herndon and Centreville) and both places kept telling me that my battery was fine, even though I kept telling them that it would not start unless it got a jump start. I had to call my 70 year old mom for her to explain to me that I need a new battery because it is more than likely the cold fuse or something like that. Long story short. I bought a new battery (from Advanced Auto) even though they kept telling me it was fine and now my car is staying like a dream.
Employee was rude to me and continuously gave me a hard time because of my disability. When I confronted him he shrugged and said he didnt want to argue about it.
Jacob handled my battery replacement + installation today. He was super prompt, friendly, courteous, and went above and beyond with the installation. Thank you, Jacob, for a job well done!
Lady on the register was rude and nasty search the wrong part number to the point that I had to go out in my car look up the part number for her because she kept asking me questions that had nothing to do with my car came back in and she entered the wrong part number of the part number that I showed her directly and then when she says she doesnt have it in stock even though the website says it has it in stock she claims its not her problem
Somewhat busy, seemed slightly understaffed. Very large. More stock than most stores. Beneficial when needing things quickly, like OEM spark plugs with a certain gap. The few people there seemed knowledgeable and friendly.

Went in to get replacement warranty parts . Gave all my number i had used but no records found and the guy tells me that only parts bought at this store will show up or will have the warranty and not from any other advanceauto. This is a lie because i have had parts bought in Florida, carolina, new york and was able to see tje recird and get any replacement at any store in any state. Flat out lies are being fed at this store.

Stay away... I have been here 2 days in a row to get my battery replaced but they always have some excuse or the other. Would give them a negative rating but cannot.
I had ordered a 2 ton car jack and 2 2-ton jack stands online for pickup. I ordered it online because the website said it was in stock. When i got to the store they told me they dont have it in stock and they will pick it up from their Sterling location and give me a call in an hour. 5 hours later and still no call, i called to check. They said their driver never picked it up. and the representative told me i can either come to the store and pick up what i needed with what they have in stock (which was $20 more expensive) or go to the Sterling branch to pick it up. When i asked for a refund he said that can only be done in the store. I usually had good service when i went to that branch, but this is ridiculous. Unless its in the store and you see it with your own eyes, I would not recommend going there.

Ok location, but keeps all necessary car parts for older cars
At 815pm I needed my gfs alternator and battery checked. One employee told me, it was too late and to come back tomorrow. I asked for the equipment and tried to run the tests myself. I was able to run one, but it didnt give me an answer. Another employee (Ron) walked out w/ another customer, when he was done, I asked him for help. Ron was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He was more than happy to assist us, walked us through the tests, what he was doing, what we should see, what he found. He also suggested what part to buy and why. Ive been a long term customer and this was nearly my last until Ron stepped into the picture.
Always have the routine maintenance items and Ive had good luck with parts being available. The wait on line can be long at times if there are only one or two registers open and looking up parts for people.

Went to return some stuff with a valid receipt, but did not have the same credit card. Mac Dravers who claims to be the manager refused the return or even giving my an exchange or store credit. Why are businesses with this real bad customer service stay in business? Stay away from this location.

Racist lads, if you are Indian please avoid .. I went to ask for some part and guy wihtout even checking inventory looked at me his collogue and just said unavailable. Atleast check ur inventory before saying no, sorry you not getting my ma friends business .
