Karns is a good place to shop, but due to it being a smaller chain, its a bit limited, and the prices arent that great. Its best to shop when they have sales. The economy is terrible right now, so prices are high everywhere. Ultimately, I would rather spend my money at Karns, than Walmart and Giant. As far as I know Karns is still an American/locally owned market, so I prefer to support them over the others. If we dont support the smaller businesses, then Walmart will be our only choice in the future. Karns definitely beats the other, when it comes to their meat.

Large selection 4 pack flowers 4/$5 some bigger pots of herbs & flowers $8 and a small but nice selection of indoor plants(inside Karns)only $4 including Pothos, Ivy & Aloe. The 4☆ was only because they were out of the 1 item I went for, their store made shoefly whoopie pie. Reccomend them and this Hershey location of Karns🙂

Did not have our reservation at check-in station on arrival, wound up seated in room next to check-in which was very dark and noisy. Not a comfortable seating. Food was good and excellent server. Would return on a week night but not weekend.

This is a fantastic grocery store. Inside this store is a Cafe, cleaners, and wine and spirits store. They have a great salad bar, deli, pre made foods bar, olive bar, fresh meat, and seafood counters. There is also a good bakery and they have bulk food items as well. Always great deals on meat and goods through out the store. There is plenty of parking. They have a rewards program for shopping. I have to give a special note to the meat department, they will never let you buy any meat that isnt the freshest it can be. Thank you guys... Great store for your shopping needs.

We love their fried chicken especially legs and thighs. We get macaroni salad and coleslaw to go with the chicken. Today my husband bought fruit salad that they make themselves and it was outstanding!

Great quality meats! I had a nice friendly conversation with one of the employees at the prepared meats counter, and that made my day. Good place to get your shopping done too, though not the best prices around for basic grocery items.

Best food in town.

Favorite place to buy my meat. They have a nice large selection of items including a wine and spirits store within. I love their deli, their salad bars, and selection of health foods. I have been coming here for the past 3 years and will continue to come here. Pricy but worth the cost

Very nice employee n fresh food

The people who work there are super friendly and helpful. There is both local and organic produce. The meat section is great and they frequently have great specials on steaks and/ or meat packs and sometimes really inexpensive lobster, which they will cook for you at a modest surcharge. Fish is good and bakery is excellent- especially the whole wheat bread which they will slice for you if you ask. The fresh flowers and arrangements are also beautiful and made with love. There is frequently excellent music piped in and I’ve found myself dancing in the frozen food section. It’s locally owned and worth supporting. It does look a little dated, but it’s part of its charm.

Really the only reason to go here is the meat department and possibly some of the homemade items in the deli. Their meat department often has butcher-quality cuts for less than competitors. They have better meat quality than giant (mostly vacuum packed these days), weis, walmart, etc. About equivalent to stauffers but cheaper. Try their many flavors of homemade sausage. Chicken cheese steak being one of my favs but any of the flavors there are delicious. If you like meat, go here for good quality and price. Theyll even cut whole cuts down for free! Enjoy!

Hershey is a beautiful town. Youd expect a grocery store there to be as beautiful. Not so here. The stores layout is strange and confusing. Furthermore, the entire place smelled of fish strongly. The Harrisburg Karns is much nicer.

Am here regularly for their chicken wings, tenders and pork or chicken sausages. Very happy with the selection and prices. Employees are polite and this will be my main place to stock up on grilling goodies.

Karns food is a excellent place to shop prices are cheaper there than giant or wheezes or what not we love the people there theyre awesome people thank you and Ill be that back next week do you get more groceries thank you

Its a nice store. The shelves were a little empty today, but generally speaking, they have a lot of choices and the store is always very clean. Service is friendly as well.

The seafood department is wonderful. Always fresh and lots of variety you cant find at other grocery stores. The employees behind the seafood counter are very knowledgeable.

My wife called in a lobster order for today and I heard her call it in. We went at 12:30 to pick 3 up. They had no record of our order. This the 2nd time this happened. We where told they have more coming in any minute. We ordered 3 to pick up at 4 p.m.. All went well this time. The Lady in front of me ordered 6 on line and they had no record of her order either. Something is wrong here....

I love this store. They always have great meat deals and its the only place around that sells garlic and herb old Bay. It has a liquor store and a dry cleaner in it too. So much better than giant!

There always something on sale

I do have to mention a few weeks ago I purchased ground beef which looked very fresh as presented in the meat department. After I arrived home I decided to use the ground beef for supper. To my disappointment the ground beef looked fresh on the top. Unwrapping it I found the fresh portion deliberating covered grey colored meat inside for deception reasoning. Needless to say I I tossed the entire amount. It is hard for me to understand why a store advertising great meats would resort to deceptive marketing to unload a few dollars of Hamburg.

We love Karns the meat and different stuffed link sausage is amazing and the bakery has great baked goods. Customer service is excellent and reminds me of the old grocery store that appreciated its customers !!

I will probably never return. I was shopping for my elderly client today and a lady behind the deli counter blurted out that her customer felt I was too close to her. I was actually within the 6ft. distance. Im very aware of social distancing working in the healthcare atmosphere. It was very degrading. The older gentleman who waited on me was not the most pleasant .either. Where is the kind,courteous customer service Karns previously had?

Best meat counter.

Store was well staffed for a Saturday. We were taken care of at the deli counter and front checkout IMMEDIATELY. Produce looked really good. Everything is well organized and easy to locate. They also have a lot of good brands and choices for items you cant find other places. Definitely a good place to shop.

Karns has great produce and a really awesome salad bar. Of course people say its great for meats but I am vegetarian. Its a very nice, clean store. I feel its a bit pricey and only buy certain items there.

Karns is my new favorite place. The meats, as mentioned, are the best in town. Their selections are always fresh and the variety is second to none. I am a steak lover and they are the only grocery store around with Delmonico steaks, which are my favorite. Their organic section is excellent and they have so many awesome local businesses in the mix. Service is always great and friendly. 5 stars out of 5.

Fun and friendly staff. If youre looking for a particular item, ask a store employee, there is a good chance its available or they may request it for you and get it in. I asked for kidneys but they didnt have in stock, they said they could order it, see if its possible to get in store for my pickup. Now Thats great service if Ive ever heard of it. 👌🏿💯

Very disappointed there meats are usually great and at a price you can’t beat but this is the 3rd time In the past 2 months I’ve bought pork that was sour and no good mind you I live 10 minutes down the road ! The roast I bought just recently had a light green tint and smelled horrible I won’t even attempt to cook it! The bulk country sausage I bought 3 weeks ago made my whole house smell like vinegar when I returned it the lady at customer service almost vomited and asked a young cashier to take to the dumpster rite away! If I had to guess I would say the meat is not being stored at the proper temperature my guess comes from the fact that when I buy chicken on sale there they do not pull it from the case they have a box sitting on the counter that they pull from. Oddly enough I have never had a bad experience with the chicken itself. Well I can assure you I will not buy pork from karns ever again.

Good store... Was there early on a snow day.. Encountered 4 workers.. One was very friendly.. The others not so much.. Grumpy.. Non helpful.. Slow registers.. Other than that i really like the store..

Love it here!! I dont get starred at for wearing decent clothing and having clean hair (unlike some other places Ive been to in the area - no joke tho). I feel at home here!! I dont like their pricing system tho, its confusing when the big number under an item is your savings, not the price...

Spectacular service in the meat department. Chicken thighs $0.50 a pound when I got there they were out of them waiting on a truck to come in guy behind the counter was extremely courteous and apologetic. Gave me 4 lb of boneless skinless chicken thighs for $0.50 a pound for my problem. Im up at the checkout going through and the somebodys yelling at the top of their lungs sir sir if you give me 5 minutes Ill have the 10 lb of chicken thighs that you want and I waited up front and the gentleman bag them and brought them right to the register for me Above and Beyond the Call of Duty excellent service excellent excellent excellent
