This little candy shop was here since 1951. Theres a sweet old woman who will tell you about the history in the shop. She has candy I use to eat 30 years ago like the chewing chalk gum (memories). Here fresh made cookies and cream fudge is delicious and the peanut brittle doesnt hurt the teeth like they normally do. I will be going back here.

Grove Chocolate is a locally owned store which has maintained the integrity of producing quality products. The chocolate is superb, placing Hershey Chocolate in an entire different category! One has an experience when doing a tasting, great silky mouth feel, with the true taste of cocoa. You will not experience the waxiness of Hershey Chocolate as Grove uses quality ingredients for all their product vs. inferior and imitation extracts. In addition, one piece of Grove Chocolate provides satisfaction, so there is no need to overindulge! Owners are knowledgeable, friendly. Displays are maintained with fresh product. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Ive had nothing but good experiences, Ive been going to Groves since 2012. The staff are kind and the selection is unbeatable. Mom and Pop stores like this are the best. Its nice to see hands on service and be treated like a person. If youre looking for products that arent cheap fabricated muck that corporate machines churn out, buy from Groves.

Curiosity caught the catUnfortunately I had to purchase my own sample for $6 (small bag), but knew right away my giftees family would like it.I also purchased pecan clusters (turtles) and peppermint bark for the same family.I have not had their feedback yet.

I give them 3 stars for the variety not the service. I have visited on 2 different occasions. She was very informative on ALL of her products, which can be nice to some people (I personally like to freely browse). Upon checkout my 4 year old touched the glass where the chocolate is displayed and she snapped at her. Telling her that she is going to leave hand prints. I believe she could of said this in a much more polite manner. (No my 4 year old was not being wild or unruly, just gently gazing upon the chocolate). I went back to give the place one more try, again I was not allowed to browse I was hovered over. When I made my selection it only came up to $6.25 she asked if I could either spend more or pay with cash. Like most people I do not carry cash. I set myself on a strict budget for money and sugary treats. So I politely declined and apologizes. She then proceeded to urge me to buy more items, again I politely declined. But she continued to push me to buy more, I then apologized and declined again, when I started to leave she snapped at me and insisted I give her my card. I said no thank you, and made my way to the door, where she followed me. Already out the door and on the sidewalk she yelled at me once asking for my card and the second time saying does this mean youre not coming back. I understand she is older, but that does not excuse the lack of manners.

Stopped by yesterday as we were out and about touring the area from Cleveland, OH. (go Cavs). It was my husband and I and our 12 yr old daughter. When we first stepped in an older lady was talking to a couple. We just wanted to take a look around with the intent on purchasing a couple of things. The older lady asked if we had time and I said yes, so she proceeded to tell us the history of the store. This was interesting but I was told where to stand and it was a little strange because sometimes I was in her PLACE to stand. That aside, we also just wanted to browse but she pointed out every.single.piece.of.candy. in the store. The entire tour took 20 minutes which is way longer than the store would take as it is only 2 rooms of a small house. When we were done, the lady was waiting on the other couple and we were browsing near them. All of a sudden the older lady SHOUTED AT US: HEY, IM TALKING TO YOU. We turned around and she said-I told you I have a gift for you and I am explaining it!. I was so shocked at being yelled at and the other couple looked at us with big eyes clearly shocked too. So she proceeded to then give us CHRISTIAN MATERIALS--the book of John in a little booklet form. I have NO ISSUE with this, as I am a Christian and would normally welcome it. But to yell at us, I thought ...as a Christian....how is this loving like Jesus? Who would want a representation of Christ by yelling? So, anyhow she asked where we were from and then asked if we would please pass out their store flyers. My husband took them to be nice. We then proceeded to pay for our $5.00 order with our credit card there was a moment she looked at us with a look of disdain and said we needed to spend at least $10.00 or pay with cash. We did not have cash. We did not see a sign posted that we had to spend a certain amount for credit. So, we started to walk out and she said Sir, wait a minute, please, I will take your card!. My daughter and I went to the car. I was over it all. The sweetness was gone. My husband went back and paid. However, we will NEVER go back. It was the oddest retail experience of my life, which is sad, because I am sure they have a great product. The service was controlling and rude.
