I stopped by to get a slide milled for an optic but after speaking with the crew there they actually convinced me to go another route. Surprisingly, this route ultimately took business away from them, but I absolutely appreciate their knowledge and honesty. Im sure others could have easily convinced me to use their services but they went the extra mile and helped me achieve what I was looking for no matter what. Everytime I go in they give prompt customer service and are efficient at helping me find what Im looking for and they dont push you to buy more then what youre looking for. Dropped a rifle off for repairs. Everything seemed fine until I went to retrieve it. With the help of a militant ROTC young lady who spoke to me like I was a criminal and she was a cop. Took them 2 hours to find my rifle. While I sat there waiting. She is the reason I wont return to this store. Treat your customers with courtesy and respect and save the testosterone for the range young lady.

Ive had many shopping experiences here and had never had a bad experience. Customer service was fantastic compared to other shops around town. I get it, covid had put a damper on all businesses. I bought an AR 1,500 I know if I would have purchased it before all this happened I could have bought it for hundreds less. But it is what it is. Supply and demand trumps all. My fault for waiting. If things open back up my way of thinking and putting things on hold will not happen again. So thank you for being there for us in a time of panic. Ill definitely be back to buy ammo and guns.

Im new to highland I wanted to find a good place to purchase,talk and repair my toys. I definitely found the right place everyones attitude and attention is great. The gunsmith is great at what he does and he has a passion for it. I recommend them to all my people. Ill never darken their door again. I wanted to take the Firearms Safety Test and they said not without a purchase. I wanted to see if I had learned enough to pass the test. I did not want to buy a gun at this time. Ill make sure I never buy one at Highland Guns.

This store is usually pretty well stocked, with both guns and ammo. They usually have some really cool guns too, not just old wood guns and revolvers like some places. Great prices.and.selection on ammo too!

Not sure how to rate this place yet. I ordered my Glock 19, June 3rd. The website first said in stock. Thats why I opted to pay $100.00 more than the Glock store. Then after I places the order, the email said 6-8 weeks for delivery. It will be 3 months as of the 13th of September. Still waiting patiently. Hope it will be in soon! I have bought 2 guns elsewhere since my purchase here. I must also say that Scott and I have been emailing back and forth all this time, and he has been very professional all along. Thank you Scott.

Came here a few days ago and baught some 45 ball ammo $65 a box they said it was normal price given everything thats going on went to turners after that same ammo for about half the price definitely taking advantage of people in my case I should have shopped around will never go back.

Literally from the moment you get there, theyre rude. Ive been to several other gun shops in different cities and all have been extremely nice and helpful. Apparently they dont let you take the fsc test unless youre buying a gun from them which is weird considering every other place has let us. Probably the only review Ive ever done and hopefully the last.

I tried to buy a gun from a Chain store that starts with the Letter T, couldn’t even get in the door without an appointment or take a test because their computer was supposedly down. I went to Highland Guns which is 2 hours away from my house, was greeted by a nice guy named Mr. J Madkin. I was able to take a test and Buy a Glock. (Still waiting for it to arrive). I’ve also purchased a S&W and a tons of Ammo.Really nice people that take the time to explain things to non expert gun people. Thank you.

This place is a scam. Do not enter their raffles. They set it up to have their friends win. They do the drawings with the winning ticket of their friend in their hand. Check out their Facebook page to see it for yourself. Its really sad to see a shop like this do such a great dishonest to the community they say theyre here for. I purchased all my guns here, My AR15 and my Shotgun were purchased off the show room. My Glock 19 was off the website and had to wait a few months due to COVID nothing can be done about that it’s understandable. But over all great service they staff are knowledgeable and even help me change the handguard on my AR15. I would recommend this place.

I was referred here by someone in law enforcement and was expecting good things. Upon arrival, there was a line outside the door due to covid-19. When it was our turn to go in, we weren’t even buzzed in. We stood behind the door as the lady was talking to us behind the counter. She definitely was not helpful, unprofessional, and it seemed like she had an attitude. We are first time gun buyers, so this is a new experience to us, so this shop definitely is not worth going to. We knew what guns we wanted exactly and she told us she did not have one Of them in stock, and she proceeded to go on about whatever she was doing and left us standing there clueless. Will be going to spend my money elsewhere, since this local shop is highly unprofessional.

I recently purchased a stripped 9mm lower. I had a lot of questions and the staff was great. They don’t make you feel dumb for asking questions. Think I’ve found a new home here.

For a first time buyer not the place to go. I was trying to keep the sales local with everything going on. I was buzz into the shop. No greeting No Hello can I help you nothing. I walked around seen one i was interested in. A male employee acknowledged me after i looked at him. The one i wanted was on consignment( no clue what this means) The employees looked busy on phones or they just did not care. Either way i left ended up going to Redlands to buy. Much better service and my questions answered. So if you experienced then maybe this is the place for you. However first time buyers like myself stay away.

Worst experience. Most of the staff there is pretty decent with the exception of the one guy with long hair and glasses that looks like he was punked all his life. Gave them a second shot after a good experience from another sales person but happened to get stuck with the ego maniac.

I know things are crazy right now with the COVID-19 but talk about price gouging... most guns are about $100 or more here than any other store in the I.E. I’ll return for business, if and when they’re reasonable with their prices.

Pros - Ill first start by saying this place is very good. The people are nice and respectful and they officer you quality service.Cons - Back in November I began training for my career and put a down payment for my own firearm and was told the firearm was not going to be ordered until paid in full and my refund would be issued if things changed. Tuesday March 3rd I entered this store to obtain a refund due to my job prolonging my hire and I was told the complete opposite and that I can only exchange for another firearm because the gun on my order was already shipped to the store. It makes sense but at the same time it doesnt. They cant give me a refund because they ordered my firearm, yet they are willing to exchange it for another firearm. Why would I want a different firearm? My career only acceots specific firearms and if I didnt pay the one off in full why would they order it after telling me they wouldnt?In other words, dont come here and drop any cash into their pockets without first having your career in check.

I went in to buy ammo and was lucky enough to find some. Unfortunately I could only purchase 2 boxes of 50 rounds, but it’s understandable due to the circumstances we are faced with. I been coming here for years and the majority of the staff is very friendly from Scott to Julius, especially the small Latina female, didn’t quite get her name. All very helpful and they answered all my questions. Avoid being helped by ISABEL! She was rude when processing my background check and throughout the purchasing process. And to top it off, she even tossed my bag with ammo on the counter, at least she finished it off with, “Have a good day.” Not sure what her deal was, but next time I will wait for someone else. Other than that, great shop and very reasonable prices.

Bought a couple guns/mags from this store first was marlin model 60 .22cal great gun then went all out and bought the brush chrome .44 cal desert eagle 🤤😁👌 they even price matched turners price since turners was having a sale. They also have unique collectible fire arms in there as well at times the owner is awesome dude with tats takes his job to serious though to pushy and to aggressive no one likes that in a store besides that great store feel safe in there lots of cops in and out of there store as well for sales of course but ya I’d recommend to people who can legally own guns 💪

Bought my first and last gun from Highland guns recently. After reading the positive reviews, decided to make my purchase there. Original encounter was good. Went down hill after that. Culminated in the day I picked up my new firearm. Actually felt like I was some kind of a burden to the woman who processed my paperwork and gave me my gun . No explanations or demonstrations. No thanks for your business. More of an attitude “you’re keeping me from something more import. We have your money, you can go now.” Next purchase will be with the pros. Ammo Brothers, Bass Pro or Turners. So much for trying to support the neighborhood shop.

Professional people who know how to make a complicated process not even more complicated. Some other stores make you fill out all kinds of necessary paperwork. At one store in Ontario, they make you fill out at least 4 additional pages of paperwork, after making you take a number and treating you like youre bothering them. NOT the case here.They work fast, they know their stuff, and theyre friendly.

Very dissatisfied customer. Was gifted a gun as a birthday present from a close friend who lived out of state, the gun was sent to Highland Gun shop. The box also contained hunting apparel.The apparel was stolen, and the employees denied it, stating nothing else was in the box besides the gun.I was charged California Use Tax on the gun, even though it was a gift. Employees became argumentative saying they will not release the gun if I didnt pay 10% on the retail value of the gun as if it were new. The gun was used by the way.Paid the fees, taxes etc .. came back 10 days later, picked up the gun, they had switched it to a different gun, same make and model but different serial number. They told me they sold the gun my friend sent. That specific gun had upgrades done to it including $100 night sights installed on it.So they pulled the old bait and switch switch to make a quick profit of course.If you dont want to get bent over, go to a different gun shop. I did file a complaint to the ATF, they said not much they can do about it, just make other people aware of the bad business practices and avoid Highland Gun shop.Anyway I hope this review helps others avoid the headache I went through.

I live in Connecticut and ordered a Walther P22 CA version. I even made a phone call before the shipment to make sure the pistol is CA version. But what they shipped to here is NOT what I ordered. Because this pistol is not CA version, the FFL in Connecticut cannot receive this pistol and had to ship it back. I did not receive the pistol and Highland refused to give me refund. What they told me on the phone is they cannot cancel the order even if what they shipped is wrong! This is definite the worst service I ever saw in my whole life!

Went in looking for a Kydex holster for my Glock, they didnt have the configuration I wanted so he offered to make me a custom one the same day! Dropped my gun off around 1:00 and got a call at 4:30 to pick it up! If you want a custom Kydex holster these are the guys to see! Great quality, great guys.
