I wanted to get new glasses but was refused service. While the office staff are relatively nice the physicians there have no concern for their patients health and safety during these trying times of Covid showing a complete lack of flexibility.

My family of 5 came to this practice because it was recommended by others. I carry on the recommendation. While every practice and profession will have those who felt their level of service inferior, the employees have really worked with my family. We all five have corrective lenses, including both glasses and contacts. They worked to find the correct contacts for me when I needed bifocals. Dr. Pipo straightforwardly explained what I would be gaining or losing with bifocal vision in contacts. He engaged my then preteen sons in conversation to make them feel comfortable. We have been with this practice nearly 8 years. Again, while no practice is perfect every day as no one is, this practice strives to serve, from the front desk to doctors (we’ve seen three different ones) to opticians.

Outstanding service,staff is out of this world.Great prices. Ive been coming here for over 35 years!. When you walk in youre treated like family. Well worth the trip if you need to get glasses or contacts!

Dr. Pipo is the best! The staff are friendly and the service is great. I can see much better now. Way better than the big-box store I was going to.They also carry a huge selection of frames.

My husband, son (3 years old) and I saw Dr. Murray. He was AWESOME. He did a fantastic job with my son, keeping him interested and using kid-appropriate ways to test him. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a few minutes to wait in the office, but I think it was only because it was the end of the year. Our contacts arrived in a timely manner. I cant say anything about glasses, because neither of us needed to change our prescriptions much. I highly reccomend them.

Great place, great people, great service. when my husband and i go there were are treated like family. my eye Dr found that i needed to see a specialist, as i had high pressure in my eye, and he referred me to a great Dr in Meriden Ct. just love this place and the people.

From the moment I walked in (for my initial appointment), I felt welcomed and well cared for. From the receptionists, to the technicians, the optometrist and the optician... all were focused on my needs.The technician who worked with me was new (only been there a month), so there were some bumps in that regard; but she knew what needed to be done and was looked in on regularly by her supervisor.Throughout my time with Dr. Pipo, I felt exceedingly reassured that the health of my eyes and vision were of the utmost importance to him. On a number of occasions, he told me that if I had any issues with my eyes: floaters, stinging or dry eyes, or if there were changes in my vision, not to hesitate to call the office.Im looking forward to being a regular patient here for many years to come!

This is the worst experience I have encountered with any medical professional. So disheartening after seeing such raving reviews, but I feel I must make others aware. Today I brought my 5-year old son in for an eye examination. This was his first experience with an eye dr because he failed a vision test given by the school. This was also my first experience at an eye dr because I do not have vision issues. Dr. Pipo came in with a bad attitude immediately when he realized the patient was a child. He try to perform some of the tests on him where he would wear glasses that would cover one eye. When having his left eye covered he was having trouble with seeing from his right eye and he was trying to slide the glasses down to see. Dr. Pipo told him to keep the glasses on. My son asked why, because he doesn’t understand, and while obviously annoyed, the doctor replied, “because I need you to.” After answering a few more questions with the glasses on, he then tells my son to “sit up straight and look forward or this is not going to work out” once again, this was said in a very brash tone. At this point I’m concerned with his bedside manner and how he speaks to his clients. My son asks him why he needs to sit up straight and look forward because this is his first experience and he doesn’t understand and the dr then stated, “he needs to see a pediatric optician, not me. This is not going to work out. We deal with some kids but not this.” And so after I ask if I will be charged for the visit and extra pictures of his eyes that were being pressed for me to purchase he said no I won’t be billing you and walks out of the room obviously frazzled. I made it clear when I called to make the initial appointment this was going to be our first visit ever to an eye dr and of my sons age and that the eye test was done in kindergarten and I was assured on the phone that they can deal with children. Now I have taken my son out of school early for the day and have had to use 5 hours of vacation time from my career while nothing has been solved and having dealt with an extremely rude and indifferent doctor. I suggest you advertise you only deal with certain ages at your practice if you don’t have the patience to answer a question or two. Any good medical professional knows you are supposed to explain procedures as you perform them on patients. This was absolutely unacceptable. The receptionist and the woman who did his initial testing and eye pictures were both wonderful, the only bad experience we had was with the doctor himself. The receptionist did give me a phone number on a post it for children’s hospital optometry. Overall, extremely disappointed in our experience and I hope it hasn’t ruined my sons expectations of what a proper eye doctor experience should entail.

Absolutely the worst experience we have had at a DR. office. one person said my son did not have an appt. called and talked to the girl that I made the appt. with and said yes he was in the system but not there. I called my son and asked him where he was...he was standing in their office.....the girl said he must have been hiding. yes, that was what was said I told him to return all paperwork and leave. I asked him to have the main DR.to call me but the office manager came out and gave him a card . thank goodness as a consumer we have many choices and that most DR. offices run off of reputation and referrals.

Extremely burnt out and rude staff. No customer service skills. Misdiagnosed my eye prescription, my eyes hurt so bad from their treatment plan, even when conveyed to the doctor, did not listen. Would NOT recommend.
