Reynold is really an artist, he custom made my wedding ring and it was just perfection. I wanted a curved shape ring that would fit and hug the diamond of my engagement ring and with a quick hand sketch he immediately understood what I wanted.After a few weeks it was done, I tried it on and he put some diamonds on. I came to Reynold with a few pictures of rings that I liked and with his expertise he helped me create the perfect custom design. This place is amazing! My fiancé proposed with his grandmothers wedding band / engagement ring. They were welded together and in need of a little repair. I took the ring to another jeweler in the area first. They said they were not sure they would be able to separate them. Reynold took one look and was immediately sure it could be done. Not only was he able to separate the two rings, restoring them back to their original condition, but he was able to do the complicated work in less than two weeks. His pricing was fair and his work was impeccable. My in-laws were shocked at the results. The claimed the ring looked better than it ever had! I will never take a nice piece of jewelry anywhere else. Update! Reynold created our customized wedding bands with aquamarine stones inserted on the inside of the bands. They are perfect and exactly what we wanted. My husband and I recently worked with Reynold on a custom ring. We provided the stone and spoke to him about the setting I wanted. After showing him a couple of pictures, he assured us that it was possible to combine the different elements from each example that I wanted, and that I would have the perfect ring I envisioned. He was right! He provided a cad so we could see it before making it incase we wanted to make minor changes--not necessary. He was able to take my vision and bring it to life. It is a stunning ring and I am so grateful and proud to wear it. Not only is it everything I hoped it would be, but Reynold was so accommodating to my timeline. I needed it by a certain day, and it was ready for me. I will absolutely be going back to Hoboken Gold and Diamonds for anything else in the future.

Unlike many stores where they try to ensure you leave a deposit on your first visit (I visited a few of these), Reynold sourced different diamonds over 4 weeks. He was very objective in his assessment and never tried to sell higher priced ones. His attention to detail and quality was in keeping with his professionalism. Highly recommended!

The staff here is absolutely phenomenal. My fiancé and I came in to modify a family engagement ring and not only was the pricing very reasonable, but the staff assisted us in picking out bands that modifications that would match well with the diamonds we brought in. They resized my fiances engagement ring 4 sizes same day and made it look beautiful.I purchased an engagement ring at another location that was way too small. I took it here to get it resized and not only did they manage to size it up 4 whole sizes but they did it within a day too, which my fiance greatly appreciated. In addition to that they gave me some great insight into the ring I had purchased that the original seller hadnt provided. My husband and I had two rings custome made at Hoboken Gold & Diamonds; a 10ct ruby set in rose gold with accent rubies made into a unique and intricate design for me as well as an 8ct emerald set in yellow gold for my husband to wear. I dont buy jewlery often, so when I was shopping for an engagement ring, I was weary to say the least. I tried some chain stores and felt like they were throwing a lot of gimmicks at me. I live in Hoboken and passed this store a thousand times without going in. When I finally did I was glad. I was greeted immediately and felt comfortable asking questions and even negotiating a bit. I chose both the setting and the stone there and they had it completed for me in a day. It was hard to imagine what the completed product would look like but I was stunned with the quality when I finally saw it. Lastly and most importantly, my fiancé absolutely loved it. And accepted it thank The Lord. Bottom line, these guys have to compete with a bunch of chains, they care about their business and their reputation. Shop small.

I went in for a simple battery replacement on my watch. Left with a broken watch, I would not trust them to do any work on any item.

Gave him a ring 5 weeks ago to resize... No call and I have visited multiple times for an update and have been told end of the week each time.

After not being able to wear my wedding ring set for almost 2 years (one of those lucky girls whose fingers and ring size changed from pregnancy) I finally took them along with my watch to Hoboken Gold and Diamond, and I wished I had gone there ages ago! We had first taken the rings to the reputable and famous Diamond District in NYC and their suggestions (from a couple of places) were to add more platinum to my engagement ring and that resizing my wedding ring was impossible so I should pick out a new one. I am a very sentimental gal and didnt want my rings changed in ANY WAY. I wanted to be able to tell my kids the story of how their father proposed with this ring, got married with the other and if we ever had a daughter I wanted her to have them. I didnt want the story that went along with the rings to be these are the rings I picked out after your brother was born since I couldnt wear the rings your Dad originally got me, where is the romance in that?! But when I told those jewelers I didnt want new rings they responded with shock, what woman doesnt want to pick out a new, BETTER ring?. I was so upset we left and I told me husband we would give it a year to see if my fingers went back to their original size. They didnt so I took them to Hoboken Gold and Diamond. Not only did Reynold tell me he could resize my wedding ring, he also could stretch my engagement ring (saving me a ton of money), he did both the same day I dropped them off and they were FLAWLESS! I couldnt be happier and now my husband and I will be customers for life!
