I had never been here before but I’ll happily be coming back. It’s conveniently located for me with great beverages and drinks with plenty of electrical outlets so that I could work as I enjoyed my menu items. Great vibes and attention to details and service. I highly recommend this place!
I have been to this place a few times and always had a pleasant experience. I do normally come in and enjoy a good cup of coffee in the store, and always tip when I dine in. Today I was in a rush so I did to-go order and didn’t leave a tip as it was just a carry-out order. One of the workers came up to the screen while I was signing and said “wow! Thanks so much I REALLY appreciate that”. I didn’t really know what to think so I went to the coffee bar to wait for my order, she came back up to the barista making my order in front of me and said “I just LOVE when people place orders for the most annoying thing to make on the menu and don’t leave a tip. Must be so nice!”.. I’m not a confrontational person so I just got my stuff and left. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back again after this passive-aggressive situation.
Brunch @3_cups_coffee in Holladay!Such a cute coffee shop with tons of yummy treats in addition to their great drinks! The $5 Mimosas were a must but sell out quickly, so get there early!!》》 I ordered the Seasonal Toast which has Burrata, Fresh tomatoes & Basil then drizzled with Balsamic Reduction. I also tried the Smorrbrod which is crisp bread served with their daily egg salad. 《《The Seasonal Toast was SO tasty! The Burrata was perfectly creamy with bright Basil and Balsamic. The Smorrbrod with delish! Loved the addition of the capers and the olive oil drizzled crisp bread.
Recently discovered 3 Cups Coffee on Instagram and decided to stop by. The ambience was great! I ordered a seasonal drink, their lavender latte, and a scone. I was very impressed but the quality of everything. I also appreciated seeing an in-house coffee roasting machine as well. You can tell a lot of care goes into their craft. I will definitely be coming back whenever I’m in the area!
Great time tonight at 3 Cups. We came for the evening atmosphere and stayed until close. The charcuterie board was well put together. The staff was incredibly helpful in explaining how it works and the different options including the many fantastic desserts. I ended up having a small scoop of the pomegranate sorbet and it was absolutely delicious. We are looking forward to more trips including a weekend brunch.
I absolutely love it here. Theyre always so welcoming and kind. And I loved that today we had the place all for myself and my family. We can laugh, talk and my kids feel like theyre at home. This is the place. So enjoyable
Felt like I was in a new modern coffee shop based in Northern Europe. Had the Golden Milk Latte, Double IPA, and Egg Salad Smoorebord (I think that’s close to how they spelt it 😩) Golden Milk was perfectly balanced and not too strong and my boyfriend loved the double IPA. The Egg Salad but as someone who grew up eating it, I was hoping for a little more spice, texture, and overall oomf. Though, this definitely won’t stop me from going to check them out sometime soon to have their build your own cheese & meat board!
Very nice shop. Great vibe (pride flag out front!) But the coffee is a bit flowery for me and a tad under roasted (but I like Peets, which Ive been told is burnt). It is worth a try in the area, you may like it.
Great spot for a coffee break. Ample table space, free wifi, and beautiful coffee. Service was friendly and prompt.
3 Cups is probably my favorite coffee shop in my area. Its a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their coffee and tea is obviously amazing. But I also love their toasts, gelato, desserts, and charcuterie/wine they do in the evenings! I recommend checking it out in youre in the area.
Sandwich and coffee was good. But you cant go inside and order, you have to call or use their app.I took the following pictures. Read #1 of their patio protocol, the big yellow sign. See the red buckets, front and back? Look in the red bucket. Now pick up the rag and clean, dont forget to use the hand sanitizer(#4) too, after you do #1. Dont skip #4!
I found this place to be a fun coffee shop. The food was really good. We had a toast and egg salad. The coffee was a bit bitter for my tastes, but the little cookie they served with it (earl gray biscuit I think it was) was very good. They had a local artists pottery mugs for sale. I bought an espresso sized one. The setting is industrial and a little sterile.
This place has amazing tea, coffee and pastries, but they ALSO have really cool classes. My mom and I took the leather book binding class and have turned into leather journal making fools. Such a great atmosphere and tasty food.
The vibe here is so chill and welcoming. Everything is absolutely delicious. They have a wide range of options, with unique and fun flavors! Its a special treat to get breakfast here, or a hot drink when it is cold outside. You can really tell that the people here love what they do, and they appreciate their customers!
I have been going to 3 cups for years and pretty much order the same thing every time. Everyone is always helpful and friendly and today I will say the morning tart is even better than normal. Thanks for being a fabulous neighborhood coffee shop!
Great food great coffee but charge for a reservation never heard of such a thing, plenty of coffee shops that don’t charge fees for a table
Great coffee shop that makes a mean oat milk cappuccino!! Love that they use Oatly which foams and creams exactly like dairy milk, and the baristas here clearly know what theyre doing! It was perfect. Cant say the same about most other coffee places in SLC. Nice, brightly lit interior with booths, tables, counter space, wifi, and lots of people on laptops but also lots just having conversations and meetings. It was a nice mix. Theres also a nice outdoor terrace for warmer weather!
Good Coffee, good service, nice atmosphere. Good place for a quick business meeting.
Edit: I’ve always liked 3 Cups, but my last few visits have made me wary. I’ve heard baristas loudly and openly berate customers (for not wanting the frosting on her orange roll? Really?) The last time I went, flies were flying around the pastry case and landing on everything. I was in line but left before my turn, out of disgust. It’s a shame, because the coffee is otherwise good.Original Review:There’s a lot of mediocre coffee in SLC, but everything I’ve had here had been great. Their espresso drinks are always well made, and they have interesting/unique seasonal offerings. The baristas also provide great service. I look forward to trying their expanded menu and hours (they advertise wine and charcuterie now.)
Cute place with fun people. Cappuccino was lovely. Cucumber toast was delicious. Nice outdoor seating.
Great service, coffee, Gelato, and cake. Nice laid back environment.
Everything was good except there is got to be a way to make the lines go faster.
Good environment. good food and drinks
Amazing coffee! Kayle is the best barista ever!
Nice location, coffee/espresso done perfectly. I order a 16oz mocha breve via their online order app and always ready when i show up, and on time. Inside seating and hanging out are available too; so, its nice to have the bit of normalcy of having a coffee IN a shop like in the olden days before pandemic restrictions were the norm.
I love that theyre open! The coffee is great, the food is delicious, and the staff is so kind! Their pasties are absolutely wonderful for anyone who loves mornings pastries and sweets. Shannon is a bomb barista!
Outstanding coffee & treats. Loved the ham + cheese tart and savory brioche. 😊😊😊
Great service even better coffee
Amazing customer service, great gelato
Love the different options they have . You can pop in for coffee and pastries or get a sandwich or even some wine ! They have your traditional coffees, as well as some specialty coffees with some funky flavors (which I’m always a fan of) Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu . Plenty of indoor seating and cute outdoor seating .
If you’re looking for one of the worlds best cinnamon rolls and some great espresso to go with it then 3 Cups is the place. Staff always has a smile and all of their baked goods are fantastic. The chocolate chips cookies here are a perfect level of crispness with a dash of salt on top, super delicious.
I have been frequenting 3 Cups since it opened in 2014. Pre COVID-19 it was my go-to spot on Fridays to catch up on emails, side hustle work, etc. The shop is busy! But the atmosphere is conducive to ignoring the hustle and bustle of the staff and other patrons. During COVID-19 it hasnt been the same sit down place, but staff take safety seriously and the quality of drink, food and service is still top notch. The coffee is excellent! I have gone out of my way many times to be pickup a latte from 3 Cups. The beans are tasty and the baristas know what they are doing. In addition to the coffee, I highly recommend the baked goods. But, youll need to get there early, as they get picked over pretty fast.Looking forward to a post-pandemic future, where I can once again take up a seat, get some work done and regularly see familiar faces at this neighborhood staple.
Seasonal toast, macarons, chocolate chip cookies, these are a few of my favorite things.
I met my cousin and had a latte. The environment was chill and the latte was amazing. I took a friend back there later in the day and ordered a pour over. I had it black, no cream or sugar needed because it was one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. Great coffee. Great environment. Highly recommended.
I got robbed nearby the night of June 4th and the night crew let us reconvene and talk to the police. Thanks unnamed night crew for being so accommodating!!!
Went here with my mom. Got a veggie sandwich with baguette. The baguette wasn’t toasted, the veggies were sliced thick, unwashed and raw. The pickled veggies on the side smelled like they got pickled for decades. My mom got a roasted beet arugula. She immediately got pain in her stomach from eating it. I don’t recommend this place. They get orders wrong and their food isn’t good. I’m not sure if this is just when I was there but I didn’t get a good brunch that’s for sure.
That was my first time with my son and the service is awesome!!!
Amazing although a little bit on the pricier side
Incredible service, friendly staff, delicious drinks!
30 minutes for the toast. Unbelievable. So disorganized.
Decent food but Inconsistent. Sometimes it takes a long time sometimes and they don’t get it right but generally the food is good. The ice coffee is watered down So much that I felt like I was drinking iced tea from a fountain. The reason I know I wasn’t because I paid four dollars for it. It’s a really odd environment with a whole bunch of signs about some booth rental program and limiting everybody to an hour. It’s almost like you walk in and youre presented with a negative environment and They don’t want you to stay here.Probably a lot of other people feel the same way because I came on Saturday morning and the place was empty. Didn’t feel like the vibe of a good coffee shop or what it used to be here. I recommend higher ground coffee on 2000 east or Harmons across the street. Just my two cents
Ive only had their gelato, but its been incredible every time!! They have really unique flavors that are always being switched around. Highly highly recommend.
Good food and drink! Awesome Vibes
3 cups has a wonderful atmosphere, but seriously left something to be desired in terms of food. My food sat on the counter for 10-15 minutes without my name being called, or anyone making any sort of effort to try to see who might be missing their toast. And paying 6.00 for a cold, burnt to a crisp on the edges and soggy on the bottom (how?)toast? Really? On a positive note, the way they encourage community is nice, the coffee is a bit on the expensive side but good, and the music is great for studying.
Every time we come to Salt Lake to visit our son, I always enjoy a great vanilla latte at 3 Cups. Great gathering place and a great coffee house in the heart of Hollady! Stop by for a great cup of java!
Price I guess is above average but nice staff, clean in a siddity neighborhood.
Overpriced coffee for the quality. Its situated in a nice part of holladay. Theres better coffee across the street at harmons to be honest with you.
The coffee tastes like it came out of a dirty copper pipe. Overpriced. Offensive sign in the window too. In other words... this place is a mess, a disgrace to a connoisseur coffee drinker. Hanx!
I love their oatmeal.
Always had great tea options. Clean and classy place
I ordered ahead of time in the app. 2 oat milk lattes, 2 macarons and a ginger chew cookie. The macarons were a little small for $2.50 however I understand they are made in-house by hand by expert bakers. I’m always in favor of supporting small business and after I tasted them I understood. The lemon lavender macaron was delicate and balanced. I’m encouraged to know that there are still coffee shops that can appreciate the artistry of pastry chefs as opposed to outsourcing for mass produced goods that taste of preservatives and cheap ingredients. The ginger chew tastes like Christmas but not the dysfunctional kind. More like untouched snowdrifts sparkling in the December morning sun. The bake was perfect. The texture, chewy as promised. And the spices and flavors evoking an emotional reaction as I closed my eyes and savored the complexity. Well done bakers of 3 Cups Coffee. I look forward to enjoying more of your baked confections. As for the coffee, lovely and exactly what I wanted.
Great coffee. Roasted beans on site.
Lisa, apparently one of the co owners, shouts at her (wonderful) employees while they are helping customers. I go a lot, this has happened more than once.Otherwise it is truly a lovely experience. She really should treat her people better, especially during business hours.
The best macarons Ive had in utah so far, love this place!
Great food and coffee.
$8.50 is too much for a 16 ounce latte. I love the coffee here, the employees and the ambiance however the price changes depending on who rings me up. I budget to buy a coffee every morning and I mentioned to one of the owners that Ive paid $8.50 a couple times for adding a shot to a drink. Adding a shot to any drink should be about a dollar. Its frustrating when the owner rings me up its about $5.50 but others its $8.50 including using my own cup! Im struggling between not coming here on a daily basis anymore or never asking for an extra shot.
Cute coffee place and they are taking covid precautions very well; I do think it’s a little overpriced but everything is always high quality and they are very customer focused
Coffee is overpriced and it tastes like the machine that it was brewed and hasnt been cleaned in a along time. And they also have a communist/Marxist sign in their front window. They will receive no more of money.
Great latte😋
Lovely team members & everything is so delicious! Best drinks & love their creativity. Love supporting this small business.
With plenty of coffee shops to choose from close to me I’m more than happy to make the drive here because of the experience. 3 cups is an inviting, warm space with incredible made from scratch food and gelato. The avocado toast is divine and I haven’t had a beverage I didn’t crave again.
Love the food!! Owner is really nice. Great customer service. Decoration and interior design is spot on.
Absolutely love this place! Thank you for offering curbside pick up through all of this! We love you 3cups!
The cafe is located in a great spot and the setting is relaxed and very modern. Love the selection of jazzy music they play however I was disappointed with the quality of their pastry. I tries the vanilla bean cake and the cake was dry as a board and the cream had absolutely no taste. I wanted to give it another chance so tried Honey Lavender bread and same thing. Not enough butter in the cake and tasted like a vegan bread. I dont have pastry every day and when I have one it should be delicious. But customer service is great.
The staff was really great
I was introduced to this place by someone . I wasnt disappointed it. I ordered avocado toast and new Orleans (not too sweet). I liked it all, but I should order the coffee with just regular sweetness next time lol. Oh my bf got alchemist shake, I recommend you this one !!! soooo delicious!
Hey 3 cups: can you please make the old Blue Star Coffee on 2300 East a second location? Id be there everyday! This shop seems like a perfect coffee shop. Its nearly impossible to find an excellent coffee AND pastry shop. They get their beans from a local roasters downtown, and make their pasties IN HOUSE? Perfect win-win!I hate to admit this because Im genuinely afraid itll mean that these will sell out faster, but their egg pastry/tart was possibly the BEST one Ive had! It was absolutely perfect, after it was toasted. Im a hard sell, too.Looking forward to coming back! Wish it was closer to home.
I love this place! I dont exactly live that close to it, but I go out of my way to come here because the coffee is THAT good. None of that bougie pumpkin spice BS you get at starbucks, no frills, just REAL exceptional coffee. The way it was always supposed to be.
Yes Yes Yes! This place feels like communitySerisouly amazing the bites are delightful, the staff is helpful and the environment is pleasant. You cant go wrong with a coffee shop that has alcohol and booths! This place is a must!
Disappointed. Hot chocolate was literally all milk. The brownie, totally devoid of any chocolate flavor. Americano was average. There are many other coffee shops around that are a better way to spend too much money.
This place has the BEST cold brew I have ever had (and I have tried a fair few). My party also sampled the gluten free double chocolate chip cookies, raspberry macarons, and spicy hot chocolate. Everything was delicious! Our barista, Roland, was very friendly and knowledge. We appreciated his help as it was our first visit (but after that cold brew it wont be the last).
Great spot!!
Every week on Wednesdays we have our creative marketing meeting at 3 cups. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed and all the staff are friendly. I have never had a drink, food item or treat that I didnt like. Everything is prepared well and using good quality ingredients. If you havent tried 3 Cups you need to.
This has a really unique classy vibe, it also has the best coffee around. They dont have genetic flavorings they only offer their own which are incredible. Definitely a top pick.
My wife loves his coffee shop. The drinks are great and fantastic. They have lots of options for food. Usually busy in the morning. Also the prices can be a little bit more
Fantastic coffee, and they frequently do really amazing gluten-free cakes. The chocolate espresso cake is incredible, with an espresso glaze on top. WE stop in every time we go to dinner at T27 next door, because I never want to miss the GF treats. Keep it up, guys! Great place.
One of my favorite local coffee shops we frequent. Lattes are always on point as well as the customer service!
So, ran out and left my laptop. Never done that in my life. Ana Rene was the sweetest and found it right away and put it aside so I can could circle around and pick it up back up. Longest 5 minutes. She made my slight panic attack a much calmer experience. She was honest and put my laptop aside for safekeeping. Thanks 3 cups. Always amazing drinks, food, vibes and people.
Great place to hang out, read, talk, charging for wi-fi is great, if they did not charge, place would be overrun with people occupying space working, this place is about community.
Great service and enjoyable space that can accommodate individuals working on laptops or groups of various sizes. In the trendy part of Holladay, this shop is always bustling. Good coffee and other drinks with cheerful staff. Check it out!
They open really early, how can they be so happy and efficient? Offered to stow my ski bag/equipment while I toured the town. The best coffee and a super menu for almost any craving. I must return for another selection while Im in Holladay😁
Staff was really nice. Coffee was great and they had great suggestions. We showed up late on a Saturday and needed a pick me up. This place was in the area and we went there. They definitely know how to make a good cup!
So lovely! I got a 12oz latte with whole milk and it was delicious. They have a light roast espresso bean (which is what I got), decaf espresso, and nitro cold brew. My drink came with a tiny free sugar and spice cookie! It was so good that I had to go back and try another of their baked goods, the Meyer Lemon Tea Cake. It was subtle and not too sweet, perfect with my latte. Its also stunning inside - bright and modern, all grey scale.
3 Cups is so awesome I almost dont want others to know about it. The ambiance here is great for chilling, sipping on your drink, and reading a book or working on your laptop. The service is very friendly, and the design inside the shop is one of the best ones in SLC. This is the coffee shop I go to when I miss the San Diego coffee shops.
Great coffee and baked goods. The breakfast tarts are fantastic.
