My husband and I have decided that the best souvenirs are tattoos. Our first one was in Scotland and since were not sure when well be back in Oahu we figured we should commemorate the trip. Mike was our artist and he did a fantastic job! I was a bit nervous and he assured me everything would be okay. And it was. I LOVE my tattoo! He even took the original design and tweaked it to look better. All the employees were really nice and the place has a good vibe.

Mike was the artist who did the tattoos for my wife and I. I was expecting to be there for like 4 hours. They were very accommodating as my wife decided to get a tattoo as well. Mike quickly took care of her tat and then went to work on the two I was getting. If you are looking for some great tattooing then you need to make sure that you guys get it done at Sacred Art Tattoo. The owner was the kind of person who didn’t mind getting in there and doing some tats as well as he knocked out three tats while we were there and doing artwork for another tat as were heading out the door. If your in Honolulu make sure you stop by and get tatted with these guys and gals.

So I went earlier this summer to get my first tattoo, and I got to say it was a great experience. I made an appointment online and got a response a day later. From there I was able to set up a time, etc. I got the chance to have my art done by Mino, who did a fantastic job, making sure I like the art before the inking started and made sure I was okay during the process. The place is a comfy area, both the staff and customers are friendly. Overall great place to get one.

My husband and I were able to book an appointment less than a week ahead of time for matching script tattoos. The experience was awesome! Everyone in there was super cool! They were able to take walk-in’s as well. They are very talented and pay very close attention to every little detail. I wanted a tattoo to commemorate my visit and memories of Oahu. I gave a photo of what I was looking for & Mike was able to sketch an equal/uniform figure, with precise lines & details! He was also able to make the size appropriate to fitting my foot. I will definitely return when I visit again! The price was low for the quality of the design.

I live and work here in Honolulu and Ive been inked several times by different artists. It had been awhile since last having gotten inked and this time around I was looking for a shop where I could get what I wanted done fast but of course not sacrifice quality. I randomly chose SACRED ART TATTOO in Waikiki. I made the right choice. I walked in and was able to book an appointment right away. Three days later, I came in for my session and my artist, Josh Crowell, was able to get done what I wanted quickly and efficiently without any hassle. The staff are super friendly and my intention is to return and have more work done very soon.Kudos to Josh! Im lovin my new ink!

Spoke with Jay who is very talented who set us up, but all of the guys working seemed to be very good artists and knowledgeable with their profession! If we make it back to the island my wife and I have already said we would be getting another one from these guys!!!!!

I’m not sure where to begin. First. Infection. Ever. Probably the worst tattoo experience my girl and I have ever had. We scheduled an appointment when visiting the island last week. Came in at our appointment time and our artist (Nate Rose) seemed a bit taken aback that we showed up. He tried to rush us both through our tattoo designs, and didn’t really seem to care what we actually wanted. After some argument back and forth, we settled on two, and sat down to get zapped. I was first to go, and the actual tattoo went quick. I came out $100 under budget. All in all, I feel like I got a good piece of art for the price. My girl went next, and had an alright time. However, Nate neglected to empty and refill his rinse cup between our tattoos. Aside from his mainly dry wiping, he was dipping a paper towel in the rinse cup (full of both of our ink!!) and wet wiping her tattoo. Needless to say, it was infected the next day, but we were due to fly out that morning. A week later and it’s still trying to heal. Hoping the color doesn’t fall out. Would post pic, but don’t want trouble for “graphic content.”

I had a very poor experience here. From the moment I walked in, I felt ignored. I needed a piercing head replaced because I ripped it out. I called ahead and a tattoo artist answered and told me to come on in. I got there and the piercer wasn’t there yet. Whatever, I waited. Then when she got there she was rude and ignored me. Finally she said she was ready to help me, took me upstairs to a storage room where she had me lay down and put in some random earring that wasn’t sterilized and I hadn’t even looked at to choose if I liked it or not. It was this huge diamond gross earring that didn’t fit my aesthetic at all and I hated. Then asked for $20 and I wanted to leave so bad and get this gross dirty earring out, I paid and left. Wish I didn’t pay. This place is not a piercing shop. She did not know what she was doing and when I went somewhere else to get it fixed they were shocked to find this huge earring in my forward helix. Please don’t get pierced here!

Artist was on point with his design, reasonably priced for the area. Staff made every effort to get to know me both before my session started and while I was getting inked. Highly recommend this shop.

Cory did a great job with my sea turtle tattoo. He made me feel at ease and communicated with me throughout the tattoo process. If I take another trip to Oahu, I would go back to him for another tattoo. The shop is clean and the artists were friendly.

Jake, but not from State Farm, did a touch up on my hibiscus that seemed to run away. I accidentally almost Mario carted him with my banana peel but he was understanding. 12/10 would go back again. :)

Scheduled an appointment for a tattoo for myself and my girlfriend while on our trip to Waikiki. This place had the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. The girl at the front was oblivious to what was going on and rude as well. My girlfriend and I both had appointments and when we showed up at the correct time was told by the Artist that he didn’t have time to do hers. Okay whatever. So, I proceed to continue on with my tattoo that I had already discussed in detail with said artist at the time I made the appointment and put a $100 deposit down for, only to be warned by him he was pressed for time and could get done with what he could but would be able to give me what we had discussed earlier. (This was going to take about 4 hrs) I said ok let’s see what we can get done. This was a freehand tattoo and he scribbled the worst looking mess on my arm I’ve ever seen as fast as he could. My 5 year old could have done better. After the rude service, the rushing, and the terrible freehand I left without a tattoo. This is the most unprofessional shop I’ve ever been to and I have many tattoos all over my body. If you are looking for anything more than just simple flash art I would highly recommend going somewhere else. They are rude and unprofessional and I can only speculate on what their work looks like after 6 months. Terrrible experience!!!!!

Im an alpha woman, but I had no second thoughts of bowing down, after I saw his IG. Im in and out of Hawaii and have a few more tatts I want to get. I would love working with him again.

Jay was awesome and funny. He made my vision come alive. I was a little worried because he didnt draw it out for me on paper, but I let him do his thing and draw it on my arm and I was in love with it. It came out beautiful. They had a good laugh with me cause I giggle like a lunatic with pain.....

Daniel is the man!Got my first tattoo here a week ago and the experience was awesome. This shop has a great vibe and awesome people who work there. If youre thinking about going in for some work, do it - you wont regret it. I spent a little over 5 hours in the chair and Daniel was great. He made sure we took breaks, even if I didnt think I needed them, kept asking to make sure I was doing alright and had some good conversation. Couldnt be happier with the end result and will definitely be back for more next time I visit Oahu.

Sacred Art by far exceeded my expectations for getting some new tattoos while vacationing in Honolulu! I would like to dedicate this review to Daniel Kunimura. From the beginning of the process where I reached out to the shop to get general information about what I wanted done, appointment availability, etc. Daniel was the one who initially reached out to me and answered all my questions and concerns without any hesitation and was so so nice about everything. Even up until my appointment, Daniel and I kept in touch and he simply went above and beyond with the entire process. When meeting Daniel for the first time, his personality was awesome. The designs that he came up with for my tattoos were beautiful and blew me away with the attention to detail he gave to each of them. I ended up getting a turtle with a plumeria on the shell with Ohana written underneath it as well as a quote my Mother used to say to me as a boy written in her writing. The shop was super clean and the vibe/atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. Him and I had great conversation during the tattoos and it was such a joy to chat and talk about whatever. After Daniel was done with my tattoos, I was OBSESSED with the final results and by far would recommend anyone to Daniel. He superseded my expectations and I simply cannot thank him enough for everything. He gave me a great deal and even provided me with his personal number to stay in contact about any questions I’d have about my fresh new tattoos and aftercare. If you are ever vacationing in Honolulu and want to get some new ink, please go see Daniel...you will not regret it!! Me and my best friend got matching nose piercings here today by Daniel. The atmosphere was great. We joked a lot about inappropriate topics lol. Mind you, Im a bit of a prude so plenty of things are inappropriate hahaha and I use this word lightly. Id go back here in a heartbeat. It is very clean which is vital in times like this. My first tattoo!!! Like a lot of tourist we got matching tattoos with the group we travelled with. We all got sea turtles with different designs and we are all very happy with the results. Even though we were walk ins they were able to help two of us with tattoos one night and we got appointments for the other two a couple of nights later. We appreciate the accommodations and the lovely work. Thanks guys great work! We love it!

This is definitely a GREAT place to get tattooed, probably my favorite. The prices are more than reasonable, the staff is extremely friendly and fun, and their art is incredible. I gave my artist, Daniel, an idea, and so far hes blown my expectations out of the water. They do walk-ins, some simple piercings, and of course appointments. Parking is pretty easy, a small walk to a parking lot thats only a dollar per hour and youre setup. The talent here, atmosphere, and pricing are all exceptional.

I have gotten two tattoos here in about 3 years. It is a great, clean, and professional shop. My artist doesnt live in Hawaii anymore, but still makes a few trips back a year to ink his local clients. Its in a great location near convenience store and food, so if you have to wait, there are things to do.

Went with my Aunt to get her tattoo fixed and add to. Jay did an amazing job. Professional, clean, great art. If youre looking for a good shop, go there. Also saw Daniel work and he was very meticulous and understanding with a newbie to ink. Explained everything and even though the guy chickened out, Daniel was good about it and the customer still left on great terms.

I am so pleased with my experience here! I went to get my first tattoo, and Im literally the biggest baby so I was super nervous. Everyone was friendly and made me feel welcome. People react to getting a tattoo differently and Im unfortunately a poor soul that was able to tough through it enough to get it finished. After Vince finished, I didnt feel so good and everyone was kind and made sure I was better before I left. If I can ever get the courage to get another tattoo, I will definitely be coming back here.

I NEVER give 5 stars hahahaha but here I am giving 5 stars to Mike Davis... I had a tattoo that I mostly liked but it had faded and become flat so I was looking for a tattoo artist who would touch it up and add a few things... without changing it up too much. Mike did just that. I didnt need an great personality... Just a great tattoo artist... But really what a cool guy. If I was looking for someone to hang out with he would be on the short list but actually I had to come home and bring with me a great memory of a perfect day with a really amazing guy... AND a tattoo that I love love love!
