Process is very smooth here and very good artists. Availability was much better than home state. I got a cattle processing vibe from an older male artist which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5.

This place is a really good spot to come to, Ill for sure get more work done when I come back to the island.I did a walk in and I recommend you email them before the open to be able to get good info on whats going on for the day.I got work done by Brian and Im really happy with what I got done. He ended up doing a custom peace and it came out better than what I came in with. And he made my experience there every welcoming.I recommend this spot if you out in Waikiki.Again thanks for everything.

Piercing place is up front and you have to go thru the alley entrance for tattoos. Follow the cool mural around the corner, space is limited so no more than a few ppl inside at a time. My experience: literally last weekend-The shop was booked, we were trying to get two bookings for a small tat (traveled from TX and only in town for that weekend-had to leave bc covid restrictions were about to start) so we asked to be squeezed in if any cancelations came up-even if it was just one of us. We both got squeezed in and our artist was very sweet and accommodating. My 20yo son explained that he wanted the red star from Jojos anime, she looked up the actual template and made it happen. Pics are from the day of and 1wk later-no peeling, feels great! ALSO--the waves took my nose ring so I actually got help from both store fronts. You do need to have an appointment and I was thankful to be squeezed in on both storefronts inbetween clients. I purchased a titanium opal nose ring with a flat anchor and connecting on the outside gem--was basically $40 for the ring and staff installed it for me at no additional costSidenote: it was a *huge* deal for him to get the tat when he did... much love 💘 for all the staff who helped us-yall made our overseas trip that much more special to us!

Excellent shop! I made a piercing appointment online. The process was quick and easy. The next day I showed up for my appointment with Taryn, and everything went smooth. The shop is clean and neat and the service was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this shop. You won’t be disappointed!

Been here twice now because I just moved to the island and needed to find a new piercer. Both of the piercers were professional and friendly. Tony really helped me figure out what was best for my forward helix after I ripped it out twice, and now it can heal happily. Will be coming back to this place in the future! Everyone is so friendly and it’s a really calm and clean environment. Not to mention, I got a same day appointment both times!

Despite the slight miscommunication on the appointment, the shop owner did everything necessary to make the tattoo happen, and then did an absolutely amazing job on it! Absolutely recommend, I don’t think you will regret it!

This was my first piercing, safe to say I made a good decision coming here! Staff was friendly and welcoming, I had the pleasure of Taryn piercing my nose. Great services and exactly on time. You have to get a appointment because they are so busy, but the prices arent that bad. Big selection for all types of piercing not too bad of a price also 40 for the job( nose piercing) and 30-100 on the piece you want which isnt bad.

I visited Skin Deep Tattoo and Piercing while on vacation in Waikiki. If all of the places I went into for consultation, I felt most comfortable with them giving me my first tattoo. Brian did an excellent job and I couldnt be happier with my Hawaiian keepsake on my shoulder. I will definitely be back for more artwork.

I’ve never written a review before but I was shocked at this experience. Customer service was terrible, they were so passive aggressive and could not have been more uninterested and rude. This was definitely my worst experience and I am someone who loves visiting different piercing shops.

Jen the artist I had did an amazing job! She was so fast and her work was 10/10. She was so fun to chat with while I got my tattoo.

Scott was my tattoo artist. He is awesome and so easy going. He made slight changes to the design I requested last minute withouy hesitations. The entire staff and vibr is just awesome. Have to say, this was the best tattoo shop I have been to and this was my 6th tattoo. Definitely will recomment Skin Deep Tattoo and will be returning there for another piece of art. They have been in Business since 1979 (if I remember correctly), opened and owned by an older Lady. That has to say something if a female opens up a tattoo shop in the late 70s and here we are now in 2021 and still running strong with a very good rep.SKIN DEEP TATTOO......just awesome in everything (vibe, customer service, artists,price ) very down to earth place and everyone there love what they are doing and dont mind going the extra mile or staying over past closing hours.Thank you so much to Scott and this very friendly, funny lady at the desk.

My first experience at Skin Deep was about 15 years ago to get a belly ring piercing and it was absolutely amazing. Today I returned to get a double tragus piercing and again the entire staff was absolutely amazing!!! Tony did my piercing and he took the time to talk to me to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. He spoke to me in a very calm and reassuring manner to let me know what to expect as he walked me through the process. After deciding to get a double piercing in one ear I started to second guess myself only to realize that he had done both before I ever knew it. My posts are lined up perfectly and look amazing!!! I couldn’t ask for anything better or more. I appreciate everyone taking the time with my friend and I to assist us with exactly what we came in for and not just trying to make a sale!!! Thank you so much Tony for making my piercing experience the best!!!!! I will definitely be back for the other side in a couple of months and will be sure to refer you to anyone that asks!!! Terrible customer service. Tried to book an appointment on line like they asked. They got back to us via email 1 time. When we tried to request a date, we got nothing. So I called lady said she would look it up via email. To this date, days later. Still nothing. Going somewhere else now. Disappointing

Couldnt be happier with our new tattoos. Walked in off the street and were welcomed immediately. Extremely friendly and clean. The staff drew up exactly what we wanted on the spot and we had great entertainment, from the woman checking us in, while we waited for set up. Best experience getting a tat. I called ahead to make my appointment, was asked every question except the ones that apparently disqualify me getting a piercing. I would not have been so upset had I not paid for parking and wobbled my 9 month pregnant self 3 blocks only to be turned away at the door. I’m livid to say the least.Suggestion: go over the fact that you do not pierce pregnant or breastfeeding woman, BEFORE YOU BOOK AN APPOINTMENT.

The piercer did an AMAZING job. Super nice people and great placement.The piercings were very expensive but fir quality work and jewelry. I got two ear lobe piercings (2 on each ear so 4 total) and one nose piercing and my total was $250. Usually shops will only charge you one piercing fee if you are getting earrings because its common to do both sides but i guess this place doesnt do that.

Got my helix and nose pierced at different shops but the wrong piercing and jewelry was used, but Taryn helped to replace the jewelry and repierce my nose as well as getting me my second helix. Made me feel very comfortable and walked me through the entire process. Definitely will be coming back !

I love this shop. Right in the heart of Waikiki and it has such a cool, clean, and overall dope vibe. Had to stop in while on vacation to get my nose ring retainer put in to do some excursions. Had it changed twice both times the piercers & staff were all friendly, quick, and professional. Tony was great and informative he gave me details on jewelry and wasn’t pushy on trying to sell me stuff. Totally recommend them to anyone who wants a quality tattoo or piercing experience.

I just went to get my nipples pierced yesterday and my experience was amazing! The customer service was great, the store was clean, and my piercer was fantastic. I freaked out a little bit and they got me through it great! I am very satisfied with this store and would recommend it to anyone. And I didn’t have to wait at all to get it done. Fantastic experience, amazing people, fabulous as well as QUALITY variety of jewelry to choose from. The jewelry display caught my attention as I was walking by and Im so glad I stopped in. Got a piercing Ive been debating for a couple years, and the whole process was very fluid and easy. This was also the first time I was asked what my final plans were for my new piercing, versus getting stabbed wherever they determine is the best placement for the chosen jewelry. 5 star experience, for sure. Great experience starting from my first phone call a few weeks back and ending with our visit today. My daughter turned 7 today and she has been begging to get her ears pierced for awhile. Both staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Taryn pierced my daughters ears and she was incredibly thorough in explaining each step of the process prior to getting started and along the way. Took my husband to Waikiki to walk around since it was his time in Oahu (I’m from Kauai, he’s from Phoenix and we were visiting) His nose ring had closed up after I made him take it out for our wedding.. Tony greeted us, opened up his piercing and we were done in no time, but sat and chatted with Tony, who moved from Phoenix! Such a cool shop, Tony was awesome and I’d love to get tatted there one day! 2 shakas up! ;)

Since I had already had my nostril pierced before they just re-poked the previous hole I’d had. Which was exactly what I wanted, making the healing process easier. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the Waikiki area.

Here on vacation and my girlfriends industrial lost the screw so we needed to get it replaced, so we came here and the piercer was awesome! Crazy smart on all the latest industry standards and was very educational on how everything worked and the proper ways to do everything, if youre here and are in a tough spot or looking for new stuff, they have it all here!

Freaking amazing customer service and they know what they are talking about. I went there to find jewelry for a piercing, and they were able to change the jewelry I was pierced with (at a different place) to something that was actually correct. They were also very welcoming and explained any questions or concerns very well! 10/10 would recommend, definitely going back again!

Amazing experience getting my first tattoo!While on vacation we found this place on Google Maps and decided to check them out. I was pretty sure I would have had to make an appointment in advance, but we thought wed go check it out anyway. As we were making our way to the location, we saw you have to walk down an alley to get to this shop. My husband thought it looked sketchy and was surprised I didnt back out, but I was trying to stay open minded. The moment we walked in the door, everyone was SO kind and helpful. The place was very clean, and the bathrooms were the nicest, and cleanest, that we saw on our entire vacation! We discussed what I was looking for, and our plans for the remainder of our vacation. Since we had a snorkeling expedition scheduled for the following morning, we made an appointment for the following afternoon since you cant swim with fresh tattoos.I was so nervous, but Tamara took very good care of me! She told me she would just do a single dot and stop so I could process what I was feeling, and we would keep going only when I was ready. It was a strange type of pain, hard to predict or explain, but not bad enough for me to change my mind. She told me I could have a break any time I needed. The whole tattoo took about 15 minutes, and I only asked for one break in the middle to take a quick sip of my water. I really wanted to just get through it as quickly as possible. I was so surprised when she said we were all done - and it turned out SO beautiful! I would recommend Tamara to anyone, although everyone here was so kind and welcoming Im sure they all do great work. No regrets at all!
